@Dinh AaronMk, I believe that everyone has the right to vote for the candidate of their choice. I hate when people say "Well any vote not for X is for Y." Everyone using that is just fear mongering undecided voters to one side or the other. I am not voting for Trump because he isn't the common political guy running. I originally was voting for Marco Rubio and then John Kasich before picking between those two "candidates." And I have look into two of the third party candidates, Jill and Gary.

Jill would of been a great vice president and replacement if Bernie Sanders decided to run for the Green Party and win (I will forever feel sorry for the Sanders supporters that got ripped off by Clinton and her supporters). I love her only because her stance with protecting the Earth. I do not like her vice president, Ajamu Baraka. He seems crazy to me as he called President Barack Obama an “uncle tom” and he favors abolishing prisons for good. The prison system needs change, but It shouldn't be abolished. I just need more time into looking at Jill. As for Gary Johnson and Bill Weld, I will need to look more into them before saying anything about them.

I don't know who Evan McMullin is, but I will take a look at him and his vice president.

@POOHEAD189, it is sad when someone picks a side because they are scared rather than looking beyond the two options. But, it's your vote after all.

@Vilageidiotx, like what I have posted. I am not voting Trump because he isn't a politician. I just like some of his stances and I don't like some of them as well. I know he will never change, but I just hope that he does...

@Dinh AaronMkIt's literally like you needing to choose between Coke and Dr. Pepper, and you choose one and are standing at the line just about to check out. Then your friend goes "WHY DON'T WE GET 7 UP!?!?!?!?" and you're like "dude we're at the check out line. I'm not going back."

The thing about this analogy is that they're actually IN the checkout lane with the rest. They are officially registered candidates for the race, in at least most of the states (write-in or otherwise). It's not opting for the 7-Up because the 7-Up isn't there. Getting 7-Up in this analogy is having these five as Coke, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, Root Beer, and Monster and going, "I'm getting an orange soda" when it's not even in the store.

Writing in a non-candidate is going to get the orange soda.

it's cool as fuck to do

in 2008 i drove a buddy to the polls to vote who wrote in for sheriff in every election the name of a famous serial murderer.

he was also high af on pain killers when he voted that year and swore he forgot having ever voted, even though I drove his drooling ass up to the polling station to do so.

ahhh, if only this year was as simple as 2008

My analogy means that we're 5 days away, which literally means we're in the checkout line. Gary Johnson or whoever might as well be in the next state much less back in aisle 9.
Look, I do know what you mean, and I know people have free will and can somehow suddenly grow some balls and not be influenced by a party system. But 5 days away there is no way to implement that. Not only that, but the American voters have never been more divisive and polarized since the civil war.
I'm not saying it's not possible ever. I'm just saying that if you know of a way to convince 100 million Americans to vote 3rd party before Tuesday, I would enjoy hearing it.
I think it can be done, but it needs to be done intelligently. And doing it intelligently, is getting a large following to break the 2 party system 16 months ago.

Honestly I agree. I take environmental policies more seriously than any that are out there. That's one of the main reasons I am going to go with the "against Trump" choice, because he'll fuck it up even worse.

As a non-American watching this election has been both incredibly hilarious and downright sad.

I find it hilarious, because the US is always held as a gold standard when it comes to democracy and is widely-considered as the "best". And yet, more than ever, this year's election has shown how restrictive and skewed your two-party system is. You're given this binary choice between two equally unsuitable candidates and then pat yourselves on the backs saying "Yep son, feels good to be living in America, greatest country on the planet!" To hear people talk about it, nobody really likes Trump or Clinton and yet, most of you are going to be voting for one of them come the 8th of November. Voting for anyone else is widely considered a waste, meaning that it will be considered a waste during 2020 as well, because by getting almost no votes these people will continue being outsiders. If that's not a vicious circle, I don't know what is.

Secondly, the rhetoric both candidates have displayed is catering to the lowest common denominator, like scraped-from-the-bottom-of-the-barrel low. Seriously, it reminds me of our two-bit politicians we have here on the Balkans. It's been a non-stop shit slinging fest of leaks, scandals and backroom deals that you normally associate with banana republics and third world countries. (I should know, because I live in one) Gotta say though, my personal favourite is how Russia is used as a fear mongering tool. Hillary accuses the Russians of everything, while Trump is using the threat of nuclear war (which is complete and utter bullshit, but the majority of Americans know jack shit about Russian politics so it's understandable) to get some more votes. First it was the commies and the USSR, then Osama and terrorism, then China and Iran, now it's back to Russia again? Oh yeah, I forgot North Korea which gets thrown around when there's nothing more serious on the horizon. Don't you guys have something else to unite you apart from some boogeyman?

On a more serious note, I do find it all incredibly sad, because the strongest and most developed nation on Earth couldn't find one suitable person out of 300+ million people to represent it? I know this has been said millions of times on the internet already, but seriously - what the fuck, US? You'd think that by having such a high standard of living people would develop not only financially but sociologically as well, but it seems like the exact opposite is happening. Then again, same thing happened to Rome, so I don't know why I'm surprised.

Voting for an independent is like voting for a one-issue-party in Europe. It's the thought that matters because lord knows you're not making a fucking difference except on principles. I'm voting for the pirate party in the next elections but I'm not doing it because I believe they'll gain seats, I'm doing it because I agree with them on principle and I think that's what democracy should be about.

As a sidenote I should admit I'm biased towards Trump because as a European and as a Dutch person living in the Netherlands, he's the better choice.

Like, objectively, there's no question he's the better choice for me. He wants smoother relations with Russia (which is a plus for Europe), he doesn't want TTIP (which is objectively a plus for us, since we maintain our higher standards without getting flooded with cheap, non-standard American goods) and he's not in favor of the UN or NATO, all of which would be better for the Netherlands since currently a lot of money is soaked into that for no good reason, because it doesn't support my country all that much.

Also, I just really, really dislike Hillary Clinton.

I don't care how you twist and turn the e-mail fiasco, she could be charged with mishandling information at best and with being a traitor to the United States at fucking worst. Having COSMIC SECRET files on your e-mail without having a) the fucking access level or b) the 'need to know' basis that is required for these things is a fucking crime.

Also, 'lets drone this guy' is not something a president should say. Ever. Especially an American one, who are notoriously bad at seeing what buildings are filled with enemies and which buildings are, ya know, filled with fucking sick people and doctors.

Not sure if it's been seen yet, but...

You can't stump the trump, but you can hump the trump.

And yes, it's a real book.
