Opinions are so misleading. A friend of mine said it was right there with Avengers.

What? No. Not in the slightest. I thought it was pretty good, but it was no be-all end-all. However, I've never been a Marvel or DC or comics in general fanboy, so there's that. Although both movies were based on comics, so it puts them on equal ground. But comparing it to the Avengers is like comparing a quartz crystal to a diamond. Sure, it's looks kind of cool, but it's not worth that much. Although that's just my opinion.

Some people like the less famous comic book characters better, i.e. The Great Lakes Avengers, Black Panther (who I really wish was in the Avengers movies), and etc. That could be where that opinion came from. However, that is a very good argument for your case. Not that I was going to argue back, but still. I won't make a judgement based off of others' opinions on the matter. I'll have to warch it myself.
