This group is involved in dealing with pretty much every big threat to Existence itself. The Nobles, Evil David, Svár, lots of stuff. And this city itself is at war, and we're caught in the middle of it because the leaders of this city and the Inter-universal Alliance it resides in are part of this group too. The list goes on and on and on.
