Depends on your character. Semblances just sorta happen if you use enough aura, so depending on how long your character has had their aura activated, it'll affect how used to your semblance you are.

@Kaithas To give an example, Cyra uses her Semblance at a low level virtually all the time, because of the way it makes her feel. Her's was first triggered when she was relatively young, which combined with its passive nature, makes her use of it very instinctual.

Whether or not you can use your semblance sort of depends on whether or not you want to. You can make your character be really familiar with it, or you can make them not familiar with it, and make them not like to use it. Since most semblances are personal, it's up to the individual to use and train, so the degree that your character can control their semblance entirely depends on what you want.

So do what you want to do, it'll work out in the end.
