Apollo sounds bit too generic although it could work, I found Gemini and Discovery to also work.

Something that really caught my eye was "Project Constellation" meant to bring humans to the Moon again, to Mars and beyond. I thought it would be kinda fitting to bring this back as "1st Recon Unit Alpha: Constellation" so that even though it never brought man back to the moon or any new worlds in its life time, it could see a new world like it was always meant to.

This probably sounds weird, rambly and semi-sentimental but its late where I am so I'm probably being a little loopy >_<

Something along those lines sounds neat, but it would be a pain to write Constellation Actual, Constellation 2 or whatever. Seems like whatever name would actually be used would be short and sweet for less cumbersome communication.

I do like Discovery, also did suggest Mercury which was the series of missions that NASA started trying to create their first rockets... I think if my memory of the history of space exploration isn't wrong. Anyway naming something after the first rockets feels like it fits as well.

Looking back, I think now that I'm relatively awake, I kind like either Apollo or Mercury with a leaning towards Apollo.

Alright, I have updated the 2nd OOC post to be the Unit tab, giving everyone an easy look at the current stats of the 1st Recon whose official call name is now "Apollo"

While doing this, I realized we have a lot of Corporals, anyone want to earn some easy Clock points and change their rank?

On a similar vein, anyone want to make some minor NPCs? They jus need a picture, name, age and small personality. They'll be doing stuff like driving vehicles (like the Thorgrim AFV) or acting as cannon fodder for when we need someone to go die in the name of the Primarch; basically minors that apparently most people don't actually play, myself included.

While I can't say much about the Army, if there are any niggling little inconsistencies that pop up with more general military matters, would you guys want my input on them?


Sure, you have some good military knowledge or have been in the military yourself then I would like some help with military matters every now and again; be warned that I will be taking a fair of liberty and artistic license in this RP

After seeing and experiencing both your actions and behaviors in RPs I've been in with you and RPs I've run, I am going to say that I will not be allowing you to join this RP since I do not find dealing with the sort of shit you've previously caused in other RPs to be a enjoyable nor worthwhile to deal with.

Do you need me to list out examples of what I mean to prove my point?

Also, as a note to both you and @Nevix, remember NPCs don't have to be cannon fodder, they can be people like diplomats or pilots of a transport we keep end up using. Hell you could even try for a fantasy senate member or a lord of a minor vassal/kingdom.

Just don't make any NPCs that are like the head commander of the GHU expedition, anyone from the Inquesition or part of the Imperian royal family, those are mein as they have some major plot importance and need careful control.

Just for instance, a 2nd LT is the lowest possible comissioned rank. One in command of an elite expeditionary unit seems unlikely, as they'd be pretty fresh out of officer training. Anyone less than a Lt Col being called a "unit commander" is pretty overblown.


I'm literally just looking off a wikipedia chart so I expected so
I was also basing Saiyako's rank off the rank of the main character from GATE who happens to be a 2nd Lt. so there's that too I guess.

Mind if I ask what would be a more suitable rank then?

I don't really understand the question but my best answer to it is that yes, there is going to be cursing and stuff.

I was thinking of adding in racial slurs for each homeworld and some fantasy curse words but in the end I decided against it.
