You guys ever feel like you're watching the same thing over and over again? Because I watched Hundred and I could swear I've seen a similar plot somewhere before. Hell, it almost feels like the exact same show has been happening twice in the same season.

Doesn't mean its not good. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry and Gakusen Toshi Asterisk were extremely similar but both freaking amazing!!

I'd have to strongly disagree. Both followed cliche adventures of MC-kun and his bitches at a magical academy, although Cavalry did surprise me a bit with him choosing a girl immediately instead of it being a harem, there was nothing I haven't already seen before. Cavalry also had a fantastic OP, one I still listen to constantly. Only other magical academy show that had a catchy OST IMO is Unbreakable Machine Doll. Actually, Cavalry also had this scene. But I'm afraid I can't say anything good about Asterisk, except the lightsaber noises made me laugh. I seem to have a preference for Cavalry despite disliking both.

It probably has something to do with what this guy says in this video series so I can't blame my preference.

It's just there was no hook to either of them that separated each from the rest of the crowd. I at least ironically enjoyed Mahouka because of the stupid-insanely overpowered protagonist, Tatsuya Jesus. Also sister was the best but shhhhhh. But to each their own, I guess. I just really wish this trend of magical academies would stop, along with reincarnation and SAO clones (despite saying this, I am really enjoying RE Zero).

Posted! I have to get up early tomorrow morning... So I'm gonna go play Birthright until 2 in the morning.

I need to finish Birthright, but I only own the game, not a DS. Hopefully I'll be able to get the Zelda-themed one that I've been wanting on my birthday, so I can go about doing so.
