Yeah, I never watched the anime so I have no real idea about anything that happens.

Especially when I learned it was about a brother and sister.

Same thing happened with "The Irregular at Magic High School".

I can't stand incestuous relationships between family members in like, anything.

For instance, I never finished the Mortal Instruments series of books by Cassandra Clare.
