Not ten seconds after Sam sat down there was another knock at the door. When he answered he was greeted by a police officer asking to question everyone in the apartment. Sam quickly explained to the officer that Michael was a bit special, and probably wouldn't be much help answering questions, but if he insisted Sam would call Michael over too.

The questions were easy enough to answer, "Yes I live here. I'm Samuel Deniel. Yes I was here all last night. No I didn't notice anything strange last night. I see them around sometimes, but I don't really know them. I'm not sure who would know them. No I didn't know anything about a murder last night." Finally the officer showed him the picture of the girl, "no, I don't think I've ever seen her before. Will that be everything officer?" It seemed he was happy with what he asked and was on his way. Sam turned to Quinn, "sorry, that's not a normal occurrence, but you know, New York. It's gonna happen every once in a while." He noticed she was basically falling asleep standing in the doorway, "um, I don't mean to pry, but why haven't you been sleeping well? I used to have sleeping issues, I might be able to help."

"Free? That's lucky," she said, though she didn't smile. If Himeko could swing even the simple cup of coffee for free, she'd feel like she was taking something she shouldn't. It wasn't as if she were short on money.I'll repay them, she decided about the club, unlocking her phone to look at her bank accounts. To her, it looked a little short, but she shrugged. Payday and allowance day were coming up, and her smile returned at the thought. She slipped her phone away as Himeko gesutred her to follow.

Cori blinked at her words, a few questions coming to mind. "What are you doing wandering around out here then? And what do you mean you 'kinda' live there?" she asked, taking a couple long, quick strides to walk beside the other. "Honestly, I've never heard of Carpe Noctum-- 'Seize the night'?" she realized, nodding a bit. "It's a good name for a night club, though."

"Exactly. Free food is best food." As Cori was oblivious to the utterly different worlds they live in, Himeko was also oblivious to the other girl's beliefs. Sure, she chalked her up to be a rich woman - there was no doubt about it thanks to the whole sports car thing - but she wasn't exactly sure how she behaved. She also didn't seem to notice how Cori's heart wasn't in what she was saying, most likely because she was thinking about the earlier incident. After all, she heard that the car had been stolen - which means the guy was a thief and she wasn't sure what she would do with that information. He didn't seem like a bad guy...

As they walked, a rather unexpected question popped up. She turned to Cori and gave her a small shrug. "I fell asleep early, woke up early and decided to go around and check the perimeter. The things that go bump in the night isn't just the supernatural you know." It obviously pertained to the scary part of reality - drugging, theft, kidnapping and, the top on her 'most hated things in this whole world', sexual abuse. There were a few more reasons why her group grew a bit more righteous after all. "Well, it's more like I just sleep there most of the time. It's not like a 'home' but like some sort of... uh, HQ?" She replied unsurely while rubbing the back of her head.

"Honestly? I'm not too surprised that you don't know about it. You don't look like the kind of girl who spends her time in night clubs." Her reaction earlier to the police officer gave her that kind of vibe. "Well, to give you a bit of background, it's your run in the mill night club. We do try our best not to get drugs involved but it gets pretty hard to keep track of those kinds of things when the customers bring them in. Anyone who needs help can always turn to our bartenders since we have two in charge, a guy and a girl to make sure that no one gets hurt." The policy hadn't always been there - it only changed when Dennis took her in. Since then, it has been relatively safer. They can't change everything though. There were still incidents and kidnappings that they can't stop but at least they're trying their best.

Stephan looked left and right. He was at a junction, but he wasn't sure where to go. The park was over in a more left direction though, so he decided to go there. While down there he quickly realized the folly of running to the park, because he didn't know where he was going. And also because he couldn't see much down here. There were lights, but there weren't many and there was plenty of darkness to keep Stephan on edge. He supposed that meeting others with super powers would've helped but it really didn't. Instead, it only made him more worried, and that was because of his strange dream, the one that told him to kill people. He didn't want to, though, and that was the sticking point. Murder was illegal, after all, and he didn't want to have to resort to it. But there were too many things left unknown. If there were others like him, then they probably had the dream as well. But had it been the same? Perhaps they'd received a different set of instructions. Whatever the case, things were a bit too open to be comfortable with. Although, then again...

Stephan's train of thought was broken as he heard a strange noise. From somewhere in the deeper the sewer came some kind of scream, one that sounded like whoever made it had a throat made of sandpaper. Stephan stopped and stared back into the darkness. A short moment of silence followed before giving way to a heavy grunting. Then he heard fast, frantic splashes, as if something was moving through shallow water, and what could only be described as frantic and furious 'clawing'. The sounds were coming closer but he couldn't see what was causing it.

Stephan started running again. It was his policy not to deal with sewer hobos in dire need of a throat lozenge and a manicure, or something like that. That probably wasn't what it was, but he wasn't exactly keen to find out. Soon enough he came to what he thought was the section he'd gone into when he'd sunk through the floor at the park. There was a problem though, there was no manhole. With a muffled curse Stephan ran further, trying to find a place to go out. He found one soon enough, and without checking he jumped up the ladders and phased out of the hole. And then phased right back in as a car zoomed through his head.

Another muffled curse and a few seconds later he was out of there. Stephan got to his feet on the nearby road, looking left and right to check for any cars. Looks like he was in the clear. He jogged into the park, going towards the drink tap first. He picked up his glove, taking off the girl's glove and replacing it. He hoped he'd find the girl sooner or later; otherwise he'd have to hand it in to lost and found or something. Now that he'd done that, where was that man? Stephan couldn't see him anywhere, so that meant he either hadn't come yet or he was in a different section of the park. Looks like he'd have to look for him.
