I officially have too much time on my hands.



It's been a really fun challenge, though. Pretty nice to give this game the attention and respect it deserves after I've been playing through it for a decade and a half or so.

Now that that's over with, I might come up with another drawing at some point down the line.

I learned the first two chords to Two Headed Boy and my journey through all the metal gears continues, almost finished Phantom Pain then it's off to Shadow Moses


I know the fandom seems to have decided that MGSV has the best gameplay, but I really like MGS1 and 2. Movement was all so fast and the gameplay and level design was so tight. I wanna go back to them sometime myself, maybe even do a European Extreme run like I did with MGS3.

Oh, almost forgot, I finished DMC3 again finally after it was sitting around in the HD collection for so long!



Around the 30th time I ate an attack while using Aerial Rave against a boss that I could've dodged if I was using Trickster, I changed my long-held stance from "DMC3 would really have benefited from being able to switch styles ingame like in DMC4" to "DMC3 would have really benefited if Aerial Rave was the default aerial attack and Helmsplitter was the aerial Swordmaster attack instead."

I'll still probably play through it a bunch more, though.

I should have some extra time today (finally). Expect a post from me at some point. Hopefully.

I got moved into the different food trailer than the one I was being trained for and was particularly busy learning the new stuff. I'm gonna be in charge of frozen yogurt now *jazz hands*.

Oh btw, because OOC shitpost, you can apparently help program the first quantum computer by playing a puzzle game gizmodo.com/play-this-puzzle-game-to-… . Crazy science stuff right there

And we're back! While I get back into the swing of things, I decided to take a page from Drag's book and start some discussion.

Is there any particular piece of music you associate with a character? It was something I considered adding to the character sheet form, but I wasn't as sure about it at the time. I'll leave Serena's here.



I listen to the Kamui part of the soundtrack a lot when I'm writing her, but I think this one captures what I'm trying to go for: Serene with a bit of inner strife, but balanced out by a sense of determination that makes itself clear about halfway through the piece.

Update

The Geographical Locations and Creatures tabs got some new things in 'em because I felt writing-y today. Good to have descriptions of places and descriptions of things that want to eat you in said places.

Also I'm not very good at stumbling upon good music for these things but I'll try to think of something.

@rivaan I've wanted to check out The Witcher for a while now, but I want to see if I can knock a few games off of my bucket list first because that one looks looooong.

@bobert778Neat! I probably won't be able to get a post done tonight because I have to go to bed early tonight because work (and also Vanquish finally came out on PC but shhhhhhhh), but I should be able to get something up tomorrow night.

Still really tired from staying up too late last night, did manage to get a Rebecca post up to keep things moving, feel a bit guilty not giving everyone more stuff to work with but I'm too tired to think up anything.

I did throw out the whole location header thing and replace it with a little character banner. Bobert wanted to stop putting them in in favor of character headers and I would have followed if I wasn't running Serena and Veronica at the same time in the other group but now that I'm feeling more artsy and aesthetic I decided to put in some banners as headers instead. Don't feel pressured to make/use one yourself if you don't want/know how to. <3

Edit: Might dull the color on it a bit, though...
