That is an interesting thought process

Being that I was thinking of it as an immunity more than an active ability
It's basically "on" all the time. Kind of like a genetic thing more than an active ability.

In my mind his thoughts would be "blank" to telepathy and he "feels" any intrusion to his mind. Kinda like feeling a bug crawl on you.

Which I could've phrased a bit better in his character sheet >.>
I didn't think that one through for phrasing >.<

Brief Biography:Born to Barry Allen and Iris West in Central city, Richard was a healthy child that exhibited no signs of speedforce connection. His father was beginning to worry that he hadn't passed on his extraordinary abilities, when young Ricky flashed across the room to snatch a toy from his startled mother. From that moment on, Barry made it his mission to train his son in the ways of the speedforce.

Under his tutelage, Ricky learned to control his powers carefully, never overextending himself or using his abilities selfishly. There were many speedsters to give him tips after all, from Uncle Wally to Grandpa Jay to 'Cousin' Bart. And when the conflicts were done and a lasting peace had been established, Barry suggested that Ricky might be a good example for other students at the Academy, someone who had already 'made it'.

P O W E R S  A N D  A B I L I T I E S

▸The Speedforce: Ricky, like his father and uncle, is connected to the Speedforce, one of the universe's fundamental energies.

➝Superspeed: Ricky can move and react at speeds that boggle the mind, easily breaking the sound barrier and approaching the speed of light. The power of the speedforce protects its users from the negative affects of moving at high velocities, such as whiplash or drag, but not from high velocity impacts.

➝Supermetabolism: Ricky's body works much faster than that of any normal human, powered and sustained by the speedforce. He can heal wounds that should take months in a few hours, builds and maintains muscle mass constantly, processes toxins and poisons in a few seconds and generally outperforms normal humans.

➝Superprocessing: In order to function at such high speeds, Ricky's mind needs to be be able to process information at an equally incredible speed. The speedforce allows him to think at a commensurate rate that he moves, a sideffect of which is that Ricky is effectively immune to telepathy, as telepaths can't track the process of his mind.

➝Phasing: By vibrating at the right frequency, Ricky can phase his molecules through solid objects, making him intangible. If done carelessly, the collision of molecules causes molecular instability and combustion in the object. Different objects have different frequencies and are more or less difficult to phase through.

➝Speed Comprehension: Those affected by the speedforce instinctively know  what speed they're travelling at, as well as their vibrational frequencies and their position in time. This instinctual knowledge also extends to the momentum of other bodies that a speedforce interacts with, allowing them to assess situation accurately.

➝Energy Absorption: Ricky can absorb or steal the momentum of other bodies, either venting into into the speedforce or using it to boost his own speed. This is a versatile ability that can, for example, stop a speeding car, arresting its momentum without a jarring stop or any damage to anyone in it.

➝Energy Manifestation: The speedforce can be manifested as a visible destructive energy, something in between lightning and electricity. It's generated and dissipated harmlessly when a speedster runs but with some concentration, it can be focused and weaponised as a bolt of energy by any speedforce user.

➝Dimension Travel: By vibrating at very specific frequencies at dimensional weak points or at certain velocities, a speedster can shift from one dimension to another. This normally means stepping into alternate earths, much like our own but with significant differences. Ricky has only managed this once.

➝Time Travel: By gathering enough speed to reach and then exceed the speed of light, a speedster can break the time barrier and change their position in time as well as space. Only Barry Allen has ever managed to reach the speeds required to travel in time but Ricky is almost there. He only needs to run a little faster...

@Caits Estella is covered. Her race is basically nothing but telepaths so she's well versed in keeping others out. So Barca would have a real hard time getting in even when  she isn't actively trying. Probably don't want her trying.

But it still bodes the question... would Barca be able to hear a little more? 

Because of the fact he carries around every written piece of information known, he'd have a strong mental capability, stronger indeed then either of his parents, both considered the strongest telepathic wielders in the world...

@BlackPanther@Caits From what I can find that particular ability is specific to the Earth-616 and the X-Men Evolution after Asteroid M. Most other iterations do not possess the specific ability. She's also not listed on that page you linked. Not that Cole couldn't have it.

As I always understood it it had something to do with her shapeshifting, her mind just as changing as her body which resulted in mixed signals. Kind of like how you jam a cell phone signal with a bunch of other signals until you can't make out what the actual message is.

EDIT: Also Barca should be able to warp reality by those standards. He should be totally bored with Earth by now and made himself a rocket ship using Boson particles, discarding the antimatter and going into space. Actually space doesn't matter either so he could just leave the physical plain and move on into being.... PURE ENERGY/MENTAL FORCE!

That wouldn't make for a interesting character that should be in an academy though so, meh.
