Well, that is option 1. Mention he's not sitting by, the go into the open fire, guns blazing, and banking on his wounds being not lethal enough (he's wearing a vest) to at least empty the clip before he passes out.

what's the most likely outcome of this? I'd like to keep my little squad of epics intact until david can come to like them more and have more of a care for them. i also feel like the most likely thing that can happen here is an ungraceful retreat by the epics
