I kinda felt that Rosha would just not speak unless spoken to. So more or less she'd probably just awkwardly stare at every, and if a conversation started with her, she'd probably play more of a listener, not much of a talker she's a quiet gal. She probably wouldn't bring up the Void unless asked about where she came from.

Fiers would only have needed her to mention the void once in order to come up with that joke.

Third waxing Moon,
#3 journal entry

"...I've come to realize, aboard this damnable vessel, that the word bard stands for "Basically, A Retarded Donkey" as I find my medication mysteriously reduced.

With the grace on an/ of the aforementioned animal -The haphazard manner in which that bag was opened suggests that it was made in haste, and the stench of arousal that lingers faintly after the burglar left my quarters has forced me to wipe everything down with ethanol just to err on the side of caution.

But I regress, for I must cut this entry short to go find a suitably large object with which to apply gratuituosly to the perpetrator's cranial region.

...
...
...
P.S. If you, human non-elven bard, have somehow survived to be reading this and decided to go through my belongings once more. Go steal from the grumpy healer just two doors to the left for goodness' sake! Shrivelled whitish root with a pungent stench of aniseeds and rotting oak. Boil in two cups of wine. Take thirty minutes before being laughed at in bed."

A crumpled note, pinned two doors down from Ricardo's, reads as follows in handwriting closely resembling that of a child -

To whom it may concern,

(and I think we all know which little fucker this concerns)

If you so much as sneeze in the direction of this door before sunrise, then you'll be all but begging for R'ornn to turn your blood to crystals again after I'm through with you.

And before you say it, no, not even if you're dying. You probably deserve it.

Sleep it off.

Yours faithfully,

- Someone who's too tired to deal with bards who don't know how to keep their mouths shut and their fingers to themselves.

P.S. Stay out of my stocks, you know better.

P.P.S Now fuck off.

The blond man speaks with an accent, despite being an auroch native. Possibly a thing of heritage? He drinks from a mug of beer at the bar in the Inn. An untouched platter of meat lies beside him
So what is it like, being part of the Virtous Company?
Can not tell. Strictly confidential.
Alright...What are the other members like? Can you tell us more about them?
[Reignald thinks for a second, takes another drink from the mug] I guess it is ok. Where to start?
The first is Fiers. The bard. He can be a bit...[indistinctive sounds of discussion in the background][Reignald swears in a foreign language and starts shouting] I told you to stay away from his god damn pills!

Where was I? Ah, yes, Fiers, the bard. Good boy. Most of the time. If he learned to control his tongue as good as he does the lute...You understand

Then theres Alya, the mute one. She is nice. Good listener. She seems to be the only one here who has their temperament under control. Sweet girl, amazing player. Do not let that fool you, she could probably kill you seven different ways before you knew.

Elsie is the healer in the party. She is the one who cure me when I get too hurt. I tell her I don't need healing but she does not listen. She usually just tells me to shut up and let her stitch that cut. [Reignald laughs heartily] She reminds me of my daughter. Always finding a reason to scold you. She likes to act like she hates us, but I'm sure she cares. Just a nursing personality hidden very, very, very deep underneath a resting sour face. [Whispering] Don't tell her I said that, though.

Who else? Ah, right, Rosha. She's an odd one. Doesn't talk much. Likes punching things. Good soldier. A bit too good if you ask me. Never questions orders. Never fails her task. [His face turns grim for a second] She would be an Auroch general's dream. [He shakes his head and takes another sip from the mug] It's dangerous. Blind faith. I've seen men like her in the battlefield. Some of them are barely men anymore. [Reignald seems to be struggling with something, but seems to change to his normal self after a bit]

Ricardo. I like that man. Brave, good fighter. Would make a good drinking partner too. Something fishy about him, though. Those purple pills. To each man their own, I have used things to take off the edge from time to time. Heck, my men would smoke things I'm not even sure were plants to calm down. But the pills are different. They are for something else, I'm sure.

What is it?

Don't know. Don't care.

What about R'ornn? What do you know about him?

Besides the fact that girls like to faun over him whenever we reach a town, not much. He seems to be more interested in crystals than anything else. A bit obsessive at times. An impressive mage, though. Or so I've been told. I wouldn't know. Never cared much for magic. Never needed it. Me? I trust steel.[Reignald picks his sword from beside him] A good sword will never fail you.

What about the pay? Do you get paid well?

[More sounds of argument in the background. A female voice swearing and crystal shattering.] [Reignald sighs]

Not enough.

"It's such an honor to be allowed to interview you, Miss Eloen!" The journalist clapped excitedly as the Bard merely bowed her head in greeting. Handing a page of parchment along with an ink and quill to their mute interviewee, the journalist continued, "As I understand, you are accompanied by some very interesting individuals, and I'd absolutely love to hear your thoughts on them!"

Alya nodded and began to write on the parchment, the interviewer sat patiently with a cheerful grin on their face as the quill feather flicked back and forth. Thankfully the Songstress was a faster scribe than most, handing the parchment back to the journalist in a seemingly record time.

It read:

I apologize for any misinterpretations I may have regarding their character, but I hope to learn more about them as time passes.

Fier is a bard, like myself, however it would seem that patrons don't take to him the way they do for me. His musical abilities are good, but his voice is a great detriment to his performances. He's a good person, perhaps a little reckless.. I think. I believe a duet with him may be nice, provided it stayed instrumental.

Elsie, although she's a healer, I think she might wound people more with her words than they had been with a sword. But I find her quite nice to be around, what she says can be a little amusing at times.

I see Reignald as a very fatherly figure. Perhaps I'm not the only one that thinks that. He's very kind to me. I have heard many things about him from the places I've performed in. That he's ruthless and that he is even a tyrant. I choose not to believe such things, but with time I may see what they mean.

I feel that Rosha needs to value herself more. I've heard once that she believes that she is a mere tool, but I think she is much more than that. I have not spoken to her before, but she seems to be a very hard working person which I see as a great quality.

Ricardo seems to be a 'upbeat' kind of person compared to the others, but I'm not sure if that's how he truly is. I've only heard stories of his feats, and I can't help but be impressed. I am concerned for his well-being as I am with any alchemist though..

R'Ornn.. He's actually quite a delightful fellow despite what people may think of his race. I personally hold no hostility toward Savolins and neither do my parents despite our elvish heritage. I've known of Elves that shun his race, but such people never try to learn what they are truly like. I hope to come to understand them as well, if he will allow me to.

A soft soothing tune played as the journalist read through this letter, their overly excited manner becoming more calm as they listened. It would seem that Alya had decided to play some music while waiting for the interviewer to finish reading what she had written.

Near the bottom of the letter, it read:

I hope everyone gets along.

A crumpled, stained, and generally worn piece of paper hangs loosely from the door of one fine-fingered, silver-tongued, wit-wealthy bard. The hand is elegant, though the state of the paper somewhat marrs the beauty of the script. It reads;

"To you, oh smelly, beastly, and palpably rude taxidermist of all save manticores, I have returned the half measure of purple pill which I did not-" There, marking the paper, are the dried remnants of foul-smelling bile. "-not consume to my detriment, and I trust that my error in judgement shall be repaid in full following a performance of your choice in both content and length, at your pleasure. Pray, do not call on me at least until this damnable fever breaks.

Yours, in alchemical altruistic antics,

Fiers"

"To you, motherly woman in both cross countenance, and unceasing nagging, and legendarily loose locks, I offer my profoundest condolences. The mess that has inexplicably appeared directly outside of your stocks can only be explained by a sudden and regrettable emergence of a fierce illness which judging by the harshness of your tone, you bear no interest in remedying. There is however, a mop around here somewhere. That said, you may find that your supplies have been pilfered, however the intended reciepient of said pilfered potents will perhaps be unexpected, should said administration be of a false and ignorant nature. I trust that should any inbibers of unfortunately ill-informed cocktails come to your door, you will be more merciful with their plight.

Yours very own prentice physician, in at least the arts of male prowess,

Fiers.

P.S. Don't drink any of Ricardo's beer. The man's notoriously protective of his drink, as a lump on my head can attest. And also, you really don't want what's in his beer."

Gonna burn yourselves out before we ever get started

Then burn we shall, in a glorious torrent of unending immolation by which the ashes of the Unkindled shall link the Fires of Humanity once again, igniting and promulgating the Age of Fire for another cycle. Our very souls will combust the essence of condensed power and lift the undead curse for at least a while longer...

A small murmuring could be heard behind the door that held R'Ornn. The noise grew steadily louder and would likely draw in more curiosity, but it was unlikely any would care to stay near R'Ornn's cabin and listen. However, not many would have the chance to escape the noise as it escalated and the tiny Savolin burst from his cabin.

"WHAT ARE WE, KIDS!?" The tiny Savolin immediately flung out his hands as he levitated down the hall with all their cabins and tore all the notes off the many door ways. He then scrambled them in his hands and replaced them on the doors. "FIERS! You filthy dog! I will leash you to the crow's nest and let you drag behind this here boat! STAY OUT OF PEOPLE'S THINGS! Some of us are trying to work."

R'Ornn's face held an expression of only moderate irritation, despite his surprising deep and thundering voice. However the Savolin grew extremely quiet as he found Alya's door and slumped down on the ground, almost instantly falling asleep. He had spent the remainder of his energy on his outburst, after five straight days of research and note taking in his cabin with no sleep.

I, Ricardo de Vigil, am writing down my thoughts from recent days on the last day of the short while that I've been introduced to the troupe who will accompany me and vice versa on this task. *Which is simply to deliver a stock of goods to the clientele in a less-than-savoury land. Should something unprecedented befall our troupe, may this journal find it's way into hands who can put it's records to good use. But for most part, this is for my personal reference.

*several pages go on about the unusual sights and sounds the writer encounters, which in all honesty, makes very little to be bewildered about from the viewpoint of a local*

...But so far my most interactions have been limited to the hands of the vessel and establishment, out of neccessity, and then the members of the courier company, out of proximity.

During his recital of Somnus (or Sombre something? Musical terms escape me quite readily.)

I am certain, almost, after many retaliatory stares as he leered one too many times into my temporary laboratory - that those wide, slanted, eerily green eyes are indicative of something less than human. I won't denounce the chance that it might be the paranoia of my studies at work. But, together with his ...to put it lightly, 'mischievious nature', has prompted ringing bells in my instincts as a hunter of the inhuman.

The first quoted portion of Ricardo's journal has been annotated in an elegant hand, and marked by an inky thumbprint. The writing while pretty, is cramped into the margins of the journal, and requires the reader to hold the journal on its side in order to read it properly.

"You refer to the Sonorous Symphony, or in layman's terms, me fucking with my lute to try and get it tuned properly. Unfortunately, I am cursed. Even my mediocrity outshines the most prestigious of lutists, and at my most unpolished, composers weep for my capabilities. You happened to miss my real showpiece that night, the spirited Catspaw's Currs, a bit folksy but a true foot-tapper if ever there was one."

The second quoted portion is accompanied by a similarly cramped yet elegant footnote, though the careful observer may note that this footnote appears more hastily scrawled.

"Has it ever occurred to you that maybe you're just an ugly bastard? And for somebody who's so keen to peek under a girl's skirts, you seem woefully blind to the irony of your occupation when juxtaposed with your... Feral semblance. How would I fight a rabid dog? Get a bigger dog."

REDACTED

(Fiers loves his lute. More than he loves insulting Ricardo, at least.)

I'm certain Ricardo started locking away his journal after noticing the attempts at intrusion into Elsie's quarters (though I really doubt she would let it happen), not too long after he wrote about a certain herb. His journal is not open for public display either, you know. Neither is his quarters, as per any sane person.

This bantering between mine and your character has got to stop here, let's save it for IC.
