I see Poland is irritating the media again by not bending knee to their values, thus more hit pieces need be put out to reinforce an artificial narrative. Consider me wholly unsurprised there, not just with the people or nation of Poland either. On a related note, I have to wonder where things will be some twenty years from now for most of mainland Europe, barring the more Slavic countries of course too. It is probably no surprise at all that I haven't high hopes, needless to say.

You forgot Hungary and Romania. These countries have lived under the hardened stupidity of the left so they shan't stand for it now that they know what it is like.

You make a noteworthy point, @Andreyich. As for which media, @catchamber any of those listed, which I note the terms "far-right", "fascist" and "nationalist" in conversation are generally not affiliated with anything positive. They are more or less portraying them as something they are not by preying on the subconscious associations of the layman with these terms; a hint given, they often imply these when they make Nazi accusations. Two of the terms are indeed neutral by design, yet almost no one uses them in such a way and or conjures images of neutrality.

Also, I am sure that the presence of 1, 2, 3, 4... 5... yeah lets go with 5, ethnic-y types completely undermines and nullifies all the other far right shit going on at that demo of 60,000.

They aren't neutral terms and either way are simply untrue. But knowing catchamber facts such untruths aren't a biggie for him so once more no surprise.

The first two most certainly have negative connotations if one considers historic context, and in context of this event incorrect.

Pretty sure those flags are for: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Radical_Camp_Falanga

And aren't those the same Skull masks used by Far Right and Fascist groups across the West? https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2017/06/20/donning-mask-presenting-face-21st-century-fascism

And aren't those Celtic Crosses common symbols for White Nationalists and Neo-Nazis?

And aren't all these anti-islam banners also reminiscent of those used by the right right and by fascists?

Seems to be an awful lot far right, nationalist, and fascist stuff at this demo...

@Andreyich Why should one assume that people who declare themselves far-right or fascist also believe in the negative aspects of the historic forms of their respective ideologies? Also, how do you know that the context isn't correct in this case?

What somebody declares isn't pertinent since they don't declare themselves these terms here anyway. I know the context is incorrect because I was there.

So the men who honour the Catholic organization who fought Hitler are far right? Golly gee

And you're bitching about skull masks? That's pretty funny

And wanting to keep Poland of it's own faith is far right? You're a really smart guy

Man I love it when some foreign retard from a place that hadn't dealt with shit from the nazis dictates what Polish society's groups are like

The men who honour an organisation that wanted a one party totalitarian Catholic state and to remove the rights of Jewish citizens? Yes, I would call them fascist.

And there's nothing in there about keeping Catholicism, its about stopping Islam, I would say there's something of a difference between those two propositions.

Can you get me some text from Mussolini's works that describes them? Or Mein Kampf?

the rights of Jewish citizens?

Bernard Montgomery hated gays. You're still not making a point beyond whining. These are still the same men who were the vanguard against Hitler.

And there's nothing in there about keeping Catholicism, its about stopping Islam

They're not stopping Islam, Tatar Muslims are treated better in Poland than most minorities elsewhere in the world. Stopping Islamization meanwhile, wants to make sure Islam does not come to influence the structure of Poland and destroy the Polish culture and way of life.

Far left or far right is used to describe ideologies that will harm a specific group be it a minority, or a specific class. As it stands, the people at the 60,000 rally espouse little to no views that call for genocide.

Polish President Duda quite well explained that it is simply a good natured patriotic display.

Oh, and on the subject of the foreigners at the rally, if it really had these imaginary bad boys of your's then they would have had the living shit beaten out of them.

Can you explain how, by being in Warsaw when these rallies took place, you know that the 60,000 people which were present espouse little to no views that call for genocide? If you spent just 1 second sampling each person's views, you'd have spent at least 16 hours sampling all 60,000 people. I'm rather skeptical that you accomplished such a feat, but if you have any quantifiable statistics to back up your assertion, I'd love to review them.

I know I'm gonna regret sticking my nose in this, but that's not how this works. "You can't prove that literally zero people are X" is not an argument.
