Aella's previous world was completely dead by the time she went through the Door, so who knows? The entire world's history is open for Mater Lei to interact and put her backstory in there

Destroying the gramophone caused time to break down for a while, the pin is just a pin. You'll learn a lot about Mater Lei by paying attention to how she treats her irreplaceable relics.

Many oddities are single-use.

Remember the law of fair warning! and then go nuts

Changes to nonessential parts of a thing or things that have already been made 'public' (most of Lei's fortress) are usually fair game though.
