I'm not sure how much I'll be on this weekend, but if whoever posts next is happy to take the party to either the guard post, or the tavern, or split to both, please assume that Tam'll just follow along!

For my part I'm happy for the next poster to just make an executive decision and take us there.

I would rather we avoid splitting the party, so do keep that in mind. Not just for gameplay reasons and tropes, but it will make the Dungeon Master work profoundly harder given this is a play-by-post and we would be making them run two separate adventures at once; that is not for the best, not in the slightest.

Only some seem to be, which is why I made my proposal and motion in-character, @rush99999. I will repeat it again shortly, as I believe it is of utmost importance we do not split the party for meta reasons alone. In the game itself? I have some further rationale to avoid that.

I agree on trying to not strain our DM, though. The trouble with so many freeform RPs is that they're way too open, and as you said, leads to the DM writing multiple adventures. It would be much harder given Cait would also have to do dice rolls and write events, which wouldn't be fun for either party. So I'm all for keeping us together, and Kismet is all for listening to Saxan XD

I'm very good at improvising so come at me bro! All kidding aside, take the RP wherever you guys want. As a DM I have tricks up my sleeve to force the party back together if necessary and if the group isn't doing it on it's own. There are a ton of side quests to explore, at least 3 in every city (bonus xp for being a completionist and completing all side quests in a city/area). It would be natural in real life to split up but it's entirely up to the players if they want to do so or want to stick together.

Even this in mind it does not bode well to split the party for the health of the topic in mind and micromanaging it. I am strongly against any effort to do so in the meta. As I noted before, in the game itself we have no real reason not to, aside from the proposition I had the paladin bring up. That said, is anyone else looking to post?

As others have said, our characters do seem to be pretty keen on splitting up. I think that (as Cait seems happy) we should go for it, but give them a meet up point/time so there's a reason for them to come back together.

With that in mind, I've made an executive decision in my post just to move us along. If people are not happy about this please, please tell me and I'll edit it to get everyone's assent. :)

I assume others intend to post as well? I would rather not just make this a roundabout series of posts between just two players, especially since now we are divided into two, which will only further complicate things. All noted, I should state that this coming weekend I might be a bit delayed given I will be mostly without access to any form of the internet.

Since I've spent too long creating a character for this, especially now that we have a large cast, I believe it would be best if I dropped this. My apologies. I had gone through a particularly rough patch in my life during my time of proclaimed interest, which prevented me from completing my character at an earlier date. I apologize, once again, and hope you all have a great adventure!
