Wow! So many humans. All eight of them in fact were here in the Digital world, so it meant he at least got the summoning them here part right. His ears twitched though, had they not read the email? They should have known why they were here already. Why did they look so worried and scared? They woke up in their homes. Dorumon contemplate these things before listening to all the kids speak to him. Given him their names. One human Seven overstepped his boundaries though and began to try and lift him up. It sent a shiver down Dorumon’s spine and so when Seven’s gripped loosened, and Dorumon able to slip away, Dorumon slapped Seven lightly with his tail before walking more in the center.

“It’s come to my attention that you’re all scared of this place,” Dorumon says, his tail droops sadly, “I didn’t want to make anyone worried. I sent the email too. I figured you’d be happy in your homes. The Digiworld is a beautiful wonderful place.”

Dorumon looks sadly at the floor, “But right now someone bad is threatening it.”

His ears perk up and he looks back at the group.

“I’m a Digimon, we Digimon live here in the Digital world, it was once ruled by Yggdrasil,” Dorumon raises his hands, “He’s a big big tree. That gave the Digimon and the Digiworld life. Yggdrasil was the King of all Digimon. But now,” Dorumon looked sad, a tear twinkled a little in Dorumon’s eye, “Now the world’s balance is being threatened. Because Chaos wants to take over, turning a world I loved, one with the brightest sky, to black.”

Dorumon went silent for a second. In fact a minute pass before Dorumon looks back at the Digidestin. He perks right back up.

“But but,” Dorumon flaps his arms slightly, “That’s why I brought you here. I said in the email. You are the Digidestin. And the Digidestin are fated to save the Digiworld from this Chaos. You won’t be doing it alone.” Dorumon happily walks over and presents a set of what look like wrist watch in various different colors on a counter space. One Tristan had already picked up, “These are Digivice they stored the data of your Digimon partner. And they are really excited to meet you. These Digivice connect Digimon and their partner through a link I cannot explain all of the mechanics of how that works. But I hear it’s a magical bond.”

Dorumon gestures silently to the Digivices, he’d allow the devices to call to their owner. He begins to walk away from the counter.

“The Digivice allows your partner and you to grow stronger, but to do so you need,” Dorumon looks at them, “Crest. Each one of you has a Crest inside of you. And in this world the Crest inside of you manifest into a physical obtainable card, that makes you and your partner even stronger. When you leave this area, your task is take your partner, find the Crest. Get stronger and defeat the Chaos to revive Yggdrasil.”

Dorumon looks at them with excitement and enthusiasm. His tail twitches side to side.

“You can decline, I know the task ahead is large, and there will be many things needed of you,” Dorumon says, “But the Digiworld needs you. The Digimon are counting on you. I’m counting on you. Because I don’t have the strength or the power to do it alone. I need the Digidestin. I need those that are fated to save the world. I believe in you! You should believe in yourselves too!!”

Carver Edwards

Location:Beach Resort Interactions: Everyone in the Beach resort

Digital World? Digimon? What? Carver listened to Dorumon speak but he didn't understand where they were. This is the digital world? Like the internet? Carver had some many questions until he say the digivices. One caught his attention without Dorumon even saying much of anything.

Reaching over and taking wrist watching looking device without even thinking about what Dorumon . 'This is so cool' is the thought in Carver's head about the device. He then says out loud while looking at the device with most of attention of the digvice and not who is around him, "I don't know what is this digital world or what are digimon or why am I here, but if this is mine I guess I'll take your word at it and that we are important."

Without thinking Carver slaps the digivice onto his wrist and straps it on. Not thinking of conqunses or normal thoughts. Looking at his wrist he asks, "So now what..." A blinding light from the digivice stops Carver from talking as he is shining the light into his face, "What the..." moving it away from his face out comes a small purple and yellow ball like creature with a horn like spike on its head.

"Woooweee so glad to be free! You do not know what it is like being stuck in that thing." the purple thing speaks and bounces around in a circle a bit hyper active. It spins and turns then jumps at Carver then asks, "You have any snacks? Been in there for a while and I am hungry!"

Carver being confused asks, "What and who are you!?"

The little purple thing laughs and hops around, "I am Hopmon silly! We are partners! Nice to meet you Carver!" Hopmon hops around really quickly looking all over the place after introducing himself rather loudly to Carver. He turns around and then asks, "Anyone have any snacks! A hungry digimon isn't a happy digimon..."

"How do you know my name? Also settle down a bit no need to go all wild." Carver asks and looks at Hopmon as Hopmon hops around looking at everyone. Hopmon replies, "Silly Carver I told you we are partners!" Hopmon turns and looks at Dorumon then says, "Dorumon! Where are the snacks?!" Hopmon hops side to side after asking the same question to the first digimon he saw. Still being very energetic and hyperactive. Carver goes around trying to catch Hopmon but Hopmon keeps moving away as if playing a game while waiting for Dorumon's answer or until something else happens.

\\Seven, the other seven DigiDestined (and their partners yet to come out of the Digivices) and Dorumon

Wow! So many humans.

One human Seven overstepped his boundaries though and began to try and lift him up. It sent a shiver down Dorumon’s spine and so when Seven’s gripped loosened, and Dorumon able to slip away, Dorumon slapped Seven lightly with his tail before walking more in the center.

"And tough too. That was the second time I got slapped in the face...", Seven kept his cool despite getting slapped in the face by Dorumon. And as for his first, it was back in middle school, where a girl blamed him for leaving a love letter on her desk. And that was after his transformation.

Ever since he's put him down, Seven was attentive to Dorumon. Setting aside all worries and fears with his assurance and enthusiasm, he steps forward to the counter space, and gets the Digivice with a purple and maroon color...

Before he straps it on his wrist, Seven said, "No turning back now, and Dorumon has his word for all this...!"

A blinding light, and then...

"Shichirou-han, is that ya? Don' be afraid! It's j'st me!"

"How...do you know my first name? Who are you? And what's with the Kansai-ben, are you a comedian kind of Digimon or something?", Seven can't believe what he's seeing and holding in his arms right now. But at the same time, he felt more than the trust that Dorumon assured to everyone.

"M'name is Motimon, Shichirou-han. I have been waitin' for ya since the Tokyo-Manila flight back then! Too bad that I can't do so, since that 'ight cause trouble f'r the plane!"

"Well, Motimon... I'm sorry for keeping you waiting for that long."

"Nah, it's a'ight. M'nd if ya put me down? And what kinda place is this?"

"The NanaZuika Sugbu, my dear friend. It seems that my family's place, or the parts of it, is what Dorumon chose for everyone to get their Digivices and meet you guys.", Seven said as he puts Motimon down to the floor. And soon after that, the latest In-Training Digimon to come out from the Digivice rushed to Dorumon...and gave him a hug.

"Dorumon, take care not to... You know, like what you did to my face..."

Seven can't help but just smile at the sight of Motimon feeling thankful.

"Hopmon, calm down there, will ya? Ya'll get your snacks...eventu'lly!!!"

Mugnai D. Katheryn

Inside of the Mansion

Katheryn had a confused look on her face, while listening to Dorumon speak. She couldn’t really understand anything he was saying, in simple terms. She couldn’t really fathom a world with digital monsters being real, when all she has ever played was JRPGs that had a wide array of monsters. She felt like she was hit with a ton of bricks that Dorumon was the reason, she appeared in an empty home without her parents. She started to cry a bit but she looked over at the table and saw, what Dorumon called Digivices, but they looked completely different than that. ”What…? I was never allowed to have an Smart Watch, mostly because they weren’t in my favorite color,” Katheryn said, staring directly at the one that is sheep metallic pink.

She slowly walked towards the smart watch-look alike and picked it up and wondered how it worked, with a confused look on her face. She was drawn towards the sheep metallic pink Digivice like it was mentally calling her, but she shook it off as her brain making her feel like she wanted it badly. “A Digimon is tied to this smart watch? How does that make any sense, does it have a calculator function?” Katheryn asked, two questions in a row. She noticed the blinding lights coming from the other people who put on their apple watches. She scared herself with how blinding that was and her sheep metallic pink apple watch fell on her wrist and clamped down. ”Gah, I dropped my smart watch directly on my left arm.. What is the world coming too-,” Katheryn thought to herself, but her thought kinda trailed off when her apple watch completely blinded her for a split second worth of blinding light.

Her eyes grew wide when she saw something strange come out of her sheep metallic pink smart watch. It was a grey, white, with blue eyes creature that looked quite cute when it appeared, but she had mostly a confused look on her face, similar how everyone was when they first met this creature, which is called a Digimon. ”Finally you freed me from that horrible place, Mugnai Dawn Katheryn. You know how long I was trapped in that? It feels like ages,” Bukamon said with a slightly harsh tone of voice.

She heard her full name from this creature and was a bit confused, in how it knew. ”How did you know my name? And who are you,” Katheryn said, with a confused look on her face. She couldn’t really put her finger on it, but this creature is happy to be out of the Apple watch but something is amiss.

Bukamon put one of its fins on its forehead, in a face palming motion. ”I’m your digimon by the name Bukamon, is the form I am in right now or didn’t you listen to Dorumon’s explanation that you are a Digidestined?” Bukamon asked, curiously with a annoyed groan at this girl, he was stuck with and eyed Dorumon, with are you serious right now.

She heard what Bukamon said, but his tone of voice and how he acted was definitely irritating her. She did the responsible thing and hugged Bukamon, since it sounded like he needed it. ”I’ll be your friend, Bukamon, if you stop having a hissy fit. I guess I will have to learn how to properly be a Digidestined then, since all this time I was confused of where this place was, and couldn’t read the email, you sent… Dorumon,” Katheryn said, with a slight glare at Dorumon. She sighed with relief that she gained a lot of information that kinda went over her head, you didn’t really read about Digimon or Digidestined in books.

Bukamon felt being hugged and looked at the other in-training Digimon with a slight annoyed look on his face. ”I guess I could try to be your friend Mugnai Dawn Katheryn, like I have no real choice in the matter. Also can you calm down about food you are making me hungry, Hopmon,” Bukamon said a bit annoyed and a stomach growling now because of what Hopmon said. He was blushing somewhat, at the fact he was being hugged by Katheryn.

"Digital World? As in, a world made of data!?" The implications of such a thing nearly made Violet faint. If that were the case, what miracles could she achieve with a little bit of coding? But... what language could an entire world possibly be written in? Even trinary wouldn't cut it, and how much hardware would there have to be supporting all of it? She plopped down onto the ground with her legs crossed, taking out her laptop and phone as Dorumon continued talking. She'd lost all interest in what he was saying, booting her devices instead, until she heard him mention "Digivice" and "stored data."

"Digivice? As in, digital device? Or as in 'a vice that is digital?' Why does everything have to start with 'digi,' isn't it implied just by being in a place called the 'Digital World?'" Nonetheless, the devices caught her eye. She wanted to take all of them for herself to tinker with, but she decided that she probably wouldn't get much peace from the others if she took what was apparently being given to them. She particularly liked the white one with blue buttons that she picked up for herself. She was supposed to get one anyway, right? Now, where was the connection port? Was it wireless? She quickly ran through the basic options for new devices with no luck. ... I must be an idiot. Violet realized that she needed to turn the "digivice" ON if she was going to use it. How does one do that? She glanced over at one of the others as he put the device on his wrist and with a flash of light a small purple... thing, appeared. Ignoring the shell-shock she felt in her excitement, she quickly strapped her own blue and white version to her left wrist.

A flash of light passed as a small creature of her own appeared on her laptop.

"..."
"..."

Neither spoke for a moment as they stared at each other. Finally, the staring contest was broken as Violet closed her eyes and hugged tight to herself. There it was again, that feeling of dread that was always in the back of her mind when she cared for her virtual pets. Unlike with Dorumon, this time she could all but recognize the thing; it looked exactly like a real, 3d version of the 2d sprite she came to know from a few of her Vpets' infant stages, exactly like her dreams, her nightmares. She didn't open her eyes until she heard it speak, a soft and childlike voice that sounded moderately female, if such a creature even had a binary sex system in its biology.

"Hello? What's wrong?" it asked. Its voice snapped Violet out of her stupor.

"O-oh. Nothing." She shook her head to clear it. "I'm Violet. What's your name?"

"... Yukimibotamon. Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." She smiled and picked up the creature off of her keyboard, setting it on the ground next to her, and began the process of connecting her phone and laptop to the digivice to start cracking open its coding.

Digimon? Digital world? This all sounded like a video game or something like that. In any case Kei wasn’t really allowed to play video games when school is starting soon. His grandparents would get mad. Kei raised his hand.

“Um, I am not allowed to play because I have school,” Kei mumbles.

Dorumon looks at him perplexed.

“It’s okay that won’t matter,” Dorumon tells Kei, “If Lucemon wins he’ll surely take over your world as well.”

Kei now looks at Dorumon with confusion. You mean the bad guy here could enter their world? They were in a different world? That didn’t make sense. That couldn’t be right, could it? Kei hesitantly thinks about it. Everyone else has seemingly grabbed their watches. Would they think less of him because he hadn’t grabbed his watch, yet?

“So, what about our world? Will our grandparents and our families not know we’re gone? We didn’t even get to tell them anything,” Kei plays with his buttons, “What if they think we’re missing? What if they are going to look for us later? Did you think of anything like that before bringing us here?”

Dorumon looks at Kei twitching his tail.

“But, won’t they be happy you saved the world?” Dorumon asked.

Oh yes because he could tell his parents he went to a world with monsters, fought a bad guy they have no concept of and that he saved the world. They wouldn’t believe him. He should hit Dorumon on the head again with an artbook.

“You should have made the email more legible so they knew where we were,” Kei remarks.

Dorumon looks puzzled.

“It was very legible,” Dorumon replies, taking out a copy of the email he sent;

Yggdrasil is dead. Awaken Digidestined. You are needed for an important task. So awaken your hearts and complete your destiny to save the Digital world.

That’s definitely not what anyone saw, if they were as confused as he is in this situation. About these things. Kei hesitantly walks forward, so it seems there is no way back. Kei’s hands shake as he reaches for a blue metallic watch, with gray, and white trim around the screen. Everyone else has seemed to summon monsters from the watches. He puts the wrist watch on his wrist. Trying to fight back crying again. All he’s tried to prove to his parents and grandparents is that he’s not a burden to them. Now that he’s missing, what would they think?

He barely noticed the bright light as blinding as it is, as he tried to fight back tears.

“Please don’t cry,” said a small brown creature, with three horns, “If you cry you’ll make me sad Kei-kun.”

Kei stares at the creature. A tear falling onto its forehead.

“I’m sorry, this is all very overwhelming,” Kei remarks, “Who are you?”

“I’m Kokomon,” it replies softly.

“I don’t want to make you sad Kokomon,” Kei replies.

“I know its a little scary, I am scared too, because I am doing this all by myself, well with you too,” Kokomon says, still in his arms it appears its trying to hug him or this is its concept of a hug, “so we have to stick with each other.”

Kei nods.

“I’ll try,” Kei mumbles.

Tristan

“Not what I expected when I woke up this morning.” Tristan responded to Katheryn, giving her a reassuring tone, helping that he genuinely believed his own words. “But I’m sure we’re not in any danger.”

After experiencing everyone actions firsthand, Tristan felt like he was in a crowd stranger than he was. Perhaps, more the merrier? He couldn’t really see a downside to having so many potential new friends, hopefully a few actually appreciated ventriloquism. Listening and staying in the background, as all the kids finished making their introductions and interacting with the strange creature. Dorumon had explained that they entered another world entirely, somehow believable coming out of something equally bizarre. His jovial naivety could almost forgive that he technically kidnapped a group of minors and wanted them to do labor, comparing them to chosen heroes. But still deep in consideration taking everything Dorumon said at face value, Tristan appeared calm with a gentle smile across his face. He couldn’t shake the feeling of a noticeable burden of weight behind him...

“What do you think?” Tristan spoke softly staring down at puppets, while the others continued chattering among themselves.

“I’d trust him. Anyone who’d knock some sense in that kid-” Luci quipped, as Angi slapped Luci in the back of the head to keep him quiet. Angi pointed at Tristan’s pocket, seeing the light and reaching inside, picking up the red and black device that took from the counter. He looked in surprise, watching multiple small creatures appearing from the devices as they each picked them up. He waited in anticipation for the same thing to occur, the screen was on but nothing was happening. His burdens weighed on his shoulder...wait why just one?

“What ya looking at?” A squeaky high voice questioned, causing Tristan to turn noticing wiggling a strange red creature its butt on his shoulder. Exchanging blinks and friendly grins, she hopped down to the floor and never stopped, bouncing like a rubber ball. Tristan kneeled down closer to the ground, his puppets following the digimon with their heads.

“Nice to meet you-” Tristan greeted politely.

“Tristan, I heard! I’m Gigimon! I’m your partner!” Gigimon said before Tristan could even ask, she carried on, speaking at the pace of her kinetic movement. “I’ve been in the hidey place on your back since you picked that up.” Tristan felt the back of his jacket’s hood, rubbing his neck. “Feels like all I’ve been doing is waiting for a partner.” Luci stuck out forward, arms crossed.

“You can do something other then bounce?” Luci quipped. Gigimon without skipping a beat, plopped down and started rolling around, circling Tristan in continuous momentum. She started letting out childish giggling, making Tristan chuckle a little.

“I can do plenty. I’m tough!” She replied standing up on all fours, with a prideful stance. Luci hung over Gigimon as they stared at one another.

“Bet your bark is worse than your-” Luci snarked. Being abruptly silenced by Gigimon widening its maw and clamping down on the puppet and yanking it off Tristan’s hand. Gigimon nommed on it for a moment with a satisfied expression. Angi looked up at Tristan.

“I like her.” Angi commented. Gigimon spat out Luci and looked at him for a while as it laid motionlessly, looking up at Tristan with a concerned and upset face which brought Tristan pause. A moment of melancholy and silence. Did he say or do something to upset her? Tristan reached his hand down to comfort her.

“Did...I kill him?” Gigimon asked. The silence broke with the sound of Tristan’s laughter, it had been a while since he laughed that loudly. Gigimon blushed a little, giving a pout of confusion.

“You’re not teasing me too are you?” Gigimon whined slightly, sounding even more like a child. Tristan picked Luci up shaking his head, putting the puppets into his pockets and then wiped his eyes. He reached down then pet her head, causing her to freeze like a deer caught in the headlights. Her pupil inflated like balloons, mouth hung open slightly like she’d been rendered speechless.

“Looks like we’re partners now, Gigimon.” Tristan said picking her up, not any heavier than his siblings. Gigimon eyes sparkled like diamonds, snapping out of her petrified state. She began to wriggle within his grasp like an excitable puppy. Pondering over Dorumon’s words saying that they could refuse his request, but implored them to accept this undertaking. He could feel the desperation, seeing the passion in Gigimon’s eyes wanting to help those in need. Deciding then despite an unpredictable series of events that preceded and would likely follow…

“I’ll do what I can, Dorumon.” Tristan proclaimed, stepping forward.

“Me two!” Gigimon added.

Max Hudson

"I was right! I knew it!" Max threw a fist in the air. "I knew we were sent here for a reason. People don't normally get mysteriously sent to another world." Max happily stepped forward, and picked up a purple and pink watch that figuratively calling his name. "Well, I don't know about the rest of ya, but I'm totally in! I've always wanted to have an adventure like this!"

The second he clasped the watch onto his wrist, there was a blinding flash of light. Once it passed, a round yellow creature that was vaguely catlike had materialized in his arms.

"Hi! I'm Nyaromon!" The Digimon said with a big smile.

"Oh my gosh! You are so cute!" Max cooed as he squeezed the small Digimon he was holding.

"Gah! Can't... breathe..."

Max immediately loosened his grip... Sorry... Um... Hi, I'm Max! It looks like were gonna be partners."

"Neat!"

"Hey, would you mind if I gave you a nickname?"

"What?"

"I'll go you Cinderella!"

"Why would you call me that? What's wrong with Nyaromon?"

"There's nothing wrong with it. It's a cute name. Cinderella just rolls off the tongue better. Besides, Cinderella is an awesome name to have."

The Digimon gave Max a quizzical look. "Oh, why is that?"

"Cinderella is a story about a girl who lost both her parents, and had to deal with abuse from her stepmother and stepsisters. She was forced to be a slave in her own home. Yet despite that, she still managed to keep her kind nature. Being nice in the face of cruelty takes a lot of courage, and I respect that. She even managed to find love at the end of her story. In some ways, I can relate to Cinderella..." Max's voice started to trail off, and he sighed.

"Are you going to cry, like that other kid over there?"

"No no, I'll be fine. I was just thinking about things... Anyway, I want you to have courage and be kind... Just like Cinderella."

"You got it!"

Max then turned to the rest of the group. "Guys, if we're going on adventure, them I'm gonna run back to my house and change clothes real quick." He rubbed the back of his head and laughed nervously. "I'm wearing beach clothes since I planned to go swimming in the Beach Resort that magically appeared next to my house. I'm not dressed for adventure. Be right back!" And with that, Max ran back to his house, to change back into his regular clothes, as well as grab his bag with his sketchbook in it.

"Yeah, like being sent to another world against our will is super exciting," Rachel remarked sarcastically with a roll of her eyes, glancing at the Dorumon. This shit sounded straight out of a TV show or something, "I mean, anyone can write an email like that in our world. It came off as spam to me, honestly."

It was the truth, she didn't think for a second she was going to be transported here. Rachel looked down at her digivice on her wrist before she was suddenly tackled down by something. She gasped, startled. She looked down at a pretty happy looking real life stuff animal.

"Hi there!" The high pitch voice cheered happily, "Why were you so shocked? I'm so happy to see you." He bounced on the ground as Rachel stood back up, dusting her clothes off.

"Maybe warning me would've been great!" She groaned, looking over at him, "What's your name, little guy?" He packed a punch for something so small.

"My name is Sunmon! It's nice to meet you, Rachel!" He grinned happily, jumping into Rachel's arms.

"You know my name?" She blinked, not even surprised anymore. Maybe it will be better if she stopped questioning everything in this goddamn world.

"Of course I do!" Sunmon chimed, "I've been waiting to see you for so long, Rachel."

Rachel sighed, turning back to Dorumon, "Well, looks like we don't have much of a choice. We're pretty stranded." To think they were in this kind of situation was kind of odd.

"Yay! Rachel and I are gonna be the best of friends." Sunmon squealed happily while Rachel sweatdropped.

"Yeah I sure hope so." She smiled, not being able to be able to really make a smart comment at the happy Digimon. She couldn't really stay upset over tackling her over only moments ago.

\\Seven & Motimon, the other seven DigiDestined with their Digimon Partners and Dorumon

"I see you're a little cute and pink living mochi with respectful standards...for a Digimon."

"Thus m'name, Shichirou-han! This is how I do my thing to be grateful to other Digimon, and now that I have ya, I can be mo' than a partner to ya!"

Right after Motimon gave Dorumon a hug, Seven was relieved that Dorumon didn't react negatively. As his partner went up in his arms again, Seven stopped moving for a moment and then, an idea.

"You know, Motimon is a fitting name for you, but the name I christen you..."

"...suits you better, to me anyway."

Motimon also stopped moving for a moment. And then...

"Shichirou-han, wha's a 'Kouji'?"

Seven laughed again since Dorumon's 'surprise' with his partner's answer...

"I'll do you one better: Why is Kouji?"

Motimon laughed as well, covering his cat-like mouth with his stubby paws. Then Seven continued as he and Motimon eventually calms down and took a deep breath...

"Kouji. It's a good Japanese name as you are with 'mochi', and it means 'Light Boss' in Kanji when written. This is the least I can do to make it up to you waiting for me."

"Shichirou-han...", Motimon said as he starts to cry tears of joy, then he continued as he can see Seven hugging him, saying...

"Kouji, I'm with you 'till the end of the line."

"Oh Shichirou-han, try to be free!", Motimon, now Kouji, assuredly said as he hugged his partner's face back, and even kissed the cheek where he was slapped by Dorumon's tail.

A beach-bodied young man and his smart pink mochi (and much later, a bug) partner's great nerdy friendship has begun...!

“Grr… I can’t figure this out. It looks like trinary but it’s got to be in some sort of cipher or something, because it’s definitely not working.”

“What’s ‘trinary’?” Moonmon asked.

“It’s a type of base coding lang- um. What happened to you?”

“I digivolved. Since I was the last of the group to hatch, I was still an infant Yukimibotamon. I’m Moonmon now.”

“Sure, whatever you say, I guess. Still, spontaneous metamorphism, fascinating.” Violet turned to Dorumon. “Do all digimon do that? Do digimon have puberty? What causes the metamorphosis? How do digimon fit into classification? If Moonmon was a Yukimibotamon, does that mean you’re named after your species? What about your genus, class, and phylum? I imagine you’re all in the same kingdom, right?”

Dorumon tails twitches from side to side for a moment. One of the Digidestined named Violet began to ask him questions. He wondered why her name was Violet when she wasn’t violet colored. Human names were so strange and weird.

“All Digimon level up so to speak,” Dorumon replies, “The Digivices will help your Digimon become big and strong.” Dorumon thinks for a second, “Digimon evolve when they have enough data or information given to them, but that requires a lot of data. They can also level up based on their emotions, more specifically your emotional states.”

Dorumon gives Violet a confused look.

“Species? Genus?” Dorumon asked, “All Digimon are different and serve a different purpose. Each Digimon is classified based that purpose.”

“So that’s what these are for…” Violet said, looking at her digivice. “Do you know what emotions we need to feel? Like… if we get really angry is that going to help them ‘level up’?”

She thought for a moment, how best to explain what she wanted to ask? “Well, a species would be like… humans. Humans are a type of species. But they’re part of a larger group of several species, and so forth in larger groups of classification. Do digimon have anything like that?”

Dorumon looks a bit lost. Humans have a larger group? There are different types of human. The only thing he could imagine were ones with actual tails. Do they have scaly skin? Dorumon shook his head in order to clear it up. He was never really meant for these long winded explanations, but looked at Violet with peppy enthusiasm, “You level up through positive emotions, of friendship, happiness, and love. Leveling up a Digimon based on anger is bad and can sever your connection with your partner if you force them to level up against their will. It’s more like they want to, you want to, and you share the same mind. At least I think that’s how it works.”

Dorumon takes a second to ponder the next question. He doesn’t necessarily have answer to that. Dorumon’s ears droop sadly and then he picks his head back up. But they asked him and he’s the only one who could give them the answers.

“Digimon are Digimon. We are mainly data, while some Digimon serve a purpose and their program is specific. Not all Digimon are that specific, one in-training Digimon could become lots and lots of things depending on their given data,” Dorumon hopes that answers the question. He doesn’t quite get the species conversation. He hopes that’s what Violet is looking for.

“That might be what I’m looking for, actually. Can you tell me what separates an ‘in-training’ digimon from a not ‘in-training’ one? And if digimon are made of data, does that mean there are some that would be classified as viruses?”

Dorumon looks at Violet again at first he looks excited this is something that he can answer, than the last questions stumps him and his head droops from a cheery smile to a slightly thinking position. How does he answer that? If he were a smarter Digimon he’d be able to give them more precise answers. Maybe they could go to Gigimon or someone with a bit more information.

“In-training Digimon are weaker than the much bigger Digimon. Digimon level up, so they get bigger and bigger. That’s what separates them from each other,” Dorumon looks happy and nods surely she understand now, “Maybe, but I don’t know about that much. I had a very important job as a Digimon, but I lost it.” he looks at his current form, then his ears twitch before he looks at them, “Now you have a very important job. Your Digimon will grow bigger and stronger and that is how you defeat Lucemon.”

Dorumon frowns and puts his hand under his chin.

“But you need your crest first,” Dorumon adds.

Violet pats Dorumon on the head gently. “That’s very helpful, thank you.” She smiled at him. “What is this ‘crest’? And if you don’t mind me asking, could you tell me what your job was? You’re a very interesting creature. Person? Do Digimon get called people like humans do? Sorry, that’s off topic.”

“The Crest are embodiments of the Digidestin, they are you, they are the inner part of you that makes you strong. And in the long run they are the embodiments of you that encourage each other and make your Digimon strong,” Dorumon looks sad, “The Crest are currently lost and I couldn’t find them before I brought you here. So you’ll have to go look for them. We may not even have enough time to do so.” Dorumon tail drops to a C and he looks sadly at the floor. Thinking of all the things Lucemon C could be doing at this moment. The world he knew was slowly dying. Dorumon took a second before shaking his head, ears perking right back up and tail too.

“Person? Digimon are Digimon we’re called Digimon,” Dorumon nods excitedly, “Dorumon’s job is that of a protector of this world. Yggdrasil is the Life Tree of this world, he provided law and order. And Lucemon killed him.” Dorumon looks sad saying so, “Lucemon is the embodiment of chaos and disorder and he won’t stop at killing Yggdrasil he’ll turn this whole entire world into something dark and scary.” Dorumon nods, “And I don’t want to lose any more friends. So that’s why the Digidestin have to protect the Digital world. So that way they can protect their own. It is very sad to lose your friends and family.”

Violet could feel the sincere emotion in Dorumon as he talked. Fighting her own reluctance to touch things, she knelt down and gave Dorumon a hug. “I know it’s sad. Don’t worry, I’ll do my best to help make sure you don’t lose any more.”

Moonmon spoke, “I can add a bit to what Dorumon said. You saw me ‘level up’ just a moment ago, but we digimon do that a few times as we get older, or with help from human partners like you. All of us here ,except Dorumon, are in-training level, right now.”

“That’s also helpful. Thanks, Yuki-sorry, Moonmon.” Violet let go of Dorumon and smiled at him. “Thank you very much, Dorumon. You were very helpful.”

Dorumon excitedly looks at Violet and nuzzles her with his muzzle. Now that all the Digidestined were here. There was not a single shadow of doubt in his mind that these eight were the destined ones. He believed they were truly the Digidestined that could save this world.

“Hopefully we all become friends in the long run,” Dorumon adds happily.

“I’m sure we will. We’re friends already, aren’t we?” Violet’s smile grew as she spoke.

Now that the Digidestined had their partners it was time for them to embark on their journey. Dorumon assuredly believes that these people will be the ones who can save this world from the Chaos that Lucemon lead. Dorumon looks at the Digidestined.

“I now am convinced that you can save this world and have faith in all of you,” Dorumon nods, “Now it is time we part our ways to begin your journey. To find the crest. First we need to talk to someone very important. Rosemon in Blossomtown should surely know where to lead us in finding the crest.” Dorumon nods excitedly as he begins to walk past the Digidestined and their Digimon.

“Follow me, I’ll lead you there,” Dorumon says, “Not everything is going to be scary like Lucemon and you’ll also meet a lot of friends here.”

So the Digidestined, with no other choice and no way of getting home decide to follow the lead of Dorumon. They walk past their homes and the holographic interpretation of their families. No way to utter goodbye or say sorry for all those trying times. No way to say I love you one last time because these programmed constructs would not understand the meaning of the phrase.

Lead down a street and into the fog, they were graced by the coolness of the air. Bright greens that illuminated the light from the canopy. As tall trees graced them, creating leafy shadows, natural hands that spread across fresh green grass. It seemed quiet and at peace here. The sky just between the peak of the canopy blue, with soft white clouds.

Whether this was the eye of the storm or not was uncertain. There was an foreboding atmosphere lingering in the distance as if they were to cross the forest and find something horrible. A strange world with a stranger request. It was a heavy pressure hanging over their heads like a great weight on their shoulders.

\\Seven & Kouji the Motimon, the other seven DigiDestined with their Digimon Partners and Dorumon

"Hey hey, Shichirou-han! Ya seem mo' calm after our li'l...joke time. An' can't ya button up yo' shirt, ya a show-off or somethin'?"

"Maybe, or not. And besides the beach, the quietness of the woods and all this green..."

"...it is somethin' you don' see or visit ev'ryday."

Seven and Kouji just finished each other's sentences to agree with each other. As everyone else followed Dorumon's lead to the forest, Kouji looked around the other DigiDestined and their respective partners from Seven's arms.

"Calm an' green is this forest, ain't it, Shichirou-han?"

"This place we're in right now reminds me of the man-made mahogany forest in Cebu's neighbor island province of Bohol."

"Bohol? Where the famed Chocolate Hills are?"

"That's right, Kouji! Did you know that the forest is the last attraction before getting to the hills?"

"That's swell! And if that don' mean excitement, I don' know what is! But there's still Cebu, though...", Kouji said, chuckling and covering his cat-like mouth with his paws as he assures his partner that his place is still the best.

Then Seven asked Dorumon, "Dorumon, do some Digimon live here? Sometimes too quiet of a place like this forest gives it away that they do..."

"An' gettin' lost, don' forget gettin' lost easily 'ere!", Kouji added, feeling both excited and giddy at the thought of surprise company...

Carver Edwards and Hopmon

Location:Lost Forest Interactions: Dorumon and the digidestined in the Forest

Leaving the inital area rather was easy. Carver didn't have anything here other than a house that wasnt really his so it was easy for him to leave. Carver looking forward to this adventure he likes to explore and this is new to him. So off to follow Dorumon Carver went followed by Hopmon.

Entering the Lost Forest and a bit after entering...

"Ooo I got another one, I spy with my little eyes something..." says Hopmon bounce around as he follows the rest of the group. Quickly interrupting him, "Is it a tree?" Hopmon cheerfully answers, "Yep, yep, yep, it is a tree because that is all I see. Tree, trees and more trees."

Shaking his head Carver puts his hand in his face and shakes it side to side slowly sighing. Hopmon then says, "Another one! I..." Carver then says annoyed, "Tree...lets play a different game Hopmon. Let's play the quiet game. The first one to talk loses lets start now..."

Trying to keep his eyes on Dorumon making very sure not to stray too far from the group or to get separated from everybody else. Doing this while taking in his surroundings, he likes the forest. Although it could be a bit quieter for Carver instead of having Hopmon constantly spying the same thing over and over. Carver even with the slight annoyance of Hopmon found himself smiling. Being at peace within the forest something his dad prepared him for. Being a survivalist he was at home in a forest even if it is a digital forest in the digital world.

Carver then asks ahead of him addressing a question to Dorumon missing what he said before because of Hopmon, "Dorumon where are we going? As much as I enjoy this ripe green forest, I'd like to know where is that destination that we are going." The moment Carver spoke Hopmon burst into laughter and says loudly, "I won! I won!! I won!!! New Game! I spy with my eyes..." Carver quickly answers, "Tree, back to the quiet game again." Hopmon then says annoyed, "Come on! That is boooorrring!" Carver quickly replies, "It's better then playing eye spy with the same thing over a thousand times!" Hopmon laughs, "It wasnt a thousand, maybe fifty...but still if I see something else I will be sure to tell you!" Once again Carver's palm goes to his face as he sighs from his hyper digimon's antics.

The Tortoise Trail

"Ehh, Can't argue with that, but I wasn't the one who made them, and apparently, we can't modify what they look like, so...yeah, you're pretty much stuck with it like that." Ty said with a shrug and, oddly enough, a smile. It seemed Rex, in his own way, accepted the offer Ty gave him. He didn't have to say a word of acknowledgement; type was the type to be able to read people relatively easy enough. He looked towards Mike, Wolfy, and Lucemon, nodding to them as he then turned towards his army.

"Alright folks, now that that's taken care of, let's get moving!" Ty yelled out before turning to face where they were going and began his march, the Digital army behind him following suit, followed shortly by Lucemon who flew above them, looking towards Rex and Mike to ensure they weren't left behind.

The Underground Temple

Finally coming out the other side of the trail, Renamon being quite useful in navigating her emperor and the rest of the army towards the exit point, Ty walked out of the trail's exit.
...Only to see a nice big mass of nothing. Spread out before them was a massive area of empty land, having little to no grass life on it, no one setting up a town or a house upon it, just a field that span for miles, farther than the eyes of humans could see.

Ty stared at the horizon he was seeing, only to blink for a bit and turned his eyes towards Lucemon.

"...Huh...Say, Lucy, Is this temple of your suppose to be invible or something?" Ty asked. Lucemon stared towards the horizon while Ty asked this, his hand placed up to his chin as he head tilted to the side in confused contemplation.

"Hmm...How very strange. This is definitively where the Temple should be, they...could not have moved it to another location..." Lucemon said. He then looked in closer and immediately noticed something on the ground below them, a small, plant-like creature hopped out of the ground like some ghost...At least, that's what it looked like from where they were, but as Lucemon flew upwards he noticed what appeared to be a tunnel made just beneath the ground. It seems the Bud simply made its way out of the tunnel, the assumed entrance into the temple, and began surverying the area, checking for food to eat, but being too far away from the Imperial army to notice it.

"...Ah, I see...The temple is there, however, it seems it got buried beneath the surface. Odd for a Budmon of all things to be its caretaker though...it did not seem as if they were short-handed..." Lucemon started muttering, mostly to himself.

"Ummm...So it's underground?" Ty asked, eavesdropping on Lucemon via his Digivice it seeme.d

"So it seems. It's possible that it was intentional, but given the circumstances of the world, it's just as possible that it was attacked and buried as a ruins of sorts. Either way, this makes things a touch more difficult. Before we do anything, we'll need to do something about its caretaker. Last thing we need is to have it run to inform anyone and everyone where we are." Lucemon said to Ty, clapping his hands together in front of his chest, the two holy rings beginning to glow as he did. Immediately, Ty looked towards Wizardmon and snapped his fingers, without so much as a word, Wizardmon nodded in response and ran straight for the Budmon and immediately starting writing something in the with his index and ring finger towards the little creature without warning.

"Magic Game!" Wizardmon said as a symbol he wrote in the air appeared where he was pointing, and in an instant, a vector graphic of what appeared to be a cage appeared around the scared budmon, the Vector gaining texture until it actually became a cage, Budmon panicking and began running into it to escape but to no avail. This prompted Lucemon, observing from above, to cease what it was doing and float back to the ground level.

"Now now, Lucy, no need to waste energy on the little guy." Ty said, smilng towards him as he placed his hands on the back of his head.

"Mmm...I suppose not. In any case, let's head down." Lucemon simply said, as he, Ty, and the rest of the rather large imperial Army moved closer towards the underground entrance of the Temple.

Ty and Lucemon stared at the tunnel as it slowly curves in descent towards the rather massive square-shaped hole of solid stone, the arch at the entrance was artistically carved with markings and digi-code, with the Mark of Patience proudly displayed at the center-top of the arch.

"Hmm...There is little doubt now, that this was intentionally buried. Most likely to keep the more viral digimon from noticing it... I would not have even noticed this tunnel from above had this Budmon not left through it, the grass and direct completely covered this the top of the entrance, and with the grass growing on the tunnel itself, would be akin to, as you humans say, finding a needle in a haystack. The more impatient and unwilling would be quick to give up if they ever spotted this grassy meadow from afar, expecting a temple." Lucemon once again thought aloud.

"So...what, you mean this was another patience test?"

"An overly complicated trail towards an overly hidden location? That does sound about right..."

"Yikes, sounds like this place might get annoying...Hmm..." Ty said in response to Lucemon's summary, before then looking towards Rex and Gazimon, looking at them for a few seconds before looking back towards Lucemon.

"Eh, Lucemon, a word in private if you don't mind." Ty said, extending his hand to halt his army before then tapping at Lucemon's shoulder and prompting him to follow. They both began whispering to each other, in the distance, away from prying ears.

After a while of the two essentially nodding to each other like a pair of siblings or friends, before both nodding in unison, they came back towards the group and looked towards Rex and Gazimon.

"Ok so, you two, Rex and Gazimon... I promised the both of you some fun on this wild ride, and...well, I'll be straight with you, it doesn't look like that fun's gonna be anytime soon if this is any indication. This place is apparently desined for patience, and, well, you don't seem like the type its looking for. So, after some consideration, me an Lucy decided to give you some fun somewhere else..." Ty said, before looking towards Lucemon who nodded in response.

"To the east of this place lies a domain of darkness known as a Nethercircuit, separated by a river and connected by only a few bridges. Simply put, it is an area of the server that has been corrupted and infected since the death of this world's ruler, and has infected every server, or nation in human terms. Though it is a recent phenomena that has started a century or so ago in this world, the File Lords have already made quick use of it; the server's most ruthless, violent and vile digimon are often exiled to a Nethercircuit as punishment for their crimes. This particular Nethercircuit just so happens to have a Crest held within, and it's likely the same for others as well. As such, we were intending on heading there next after we were finished here." Lucemon explained.

"But we decided, hey, we got someone here who wants some action, there isn't much of it here, and it would help immensely if there was somebody who goes in there first to survey the area and make things easier for us when we're done here. So why not kill two birds with one stone, and have you two go in there first? I have to grab this Crest, and I'm probably gonna need Mikey with me on this, and there's not gonna be much here for you to do." Ty added.

"...Indeed. Normally it would be nothing short of suicide to have a single digidestined pairing to enter a Nethercircuit. Digidestines are something of a threat to the more dominant among them and digimon outsiders are treated as prey. However, The Gazimon race are nightmare soldiers, a family of digimon species that favor the dark and viral over the light. As a result, Rex, by having a Gazimon at your side, at least in theory, should make things easier for you while you are in there. That does not mean you can let your guard down however, the digimon in there are violent nd aggressive after all. But you need not worry, Reapermon shall accompany you there."

"I'll what!?"

"There are digimon in the Nethercircuit that may be too much for partnered digimon to handle right now. Having one such as yourself enter with him should help guarantee his safety." Lucemon told Reapermon, still somewhat surprised that they were sending him in there with the new guy as well. Reapermon looked towards Ty, as if wondering if this was his idea as well, only to see him smiling at him.

"...Very well." Reapermon then said.

"One more thing I need to mention. ...Each Netherciruit has a lord, a ruler that presides over all of that specific territory. Even with Reapermon at your side, The lords of the Nether are too great a foe for you as it stands. This one in particular may look harmless in appearance but do not let it decieve you. Tell them that you are here on Lucemon's orders and you will have safe passage but whatever you do, do not make it angry. If the lord request you do something for him, it is in your best interest to do it. Last but not least, if you hear the sound of bells ringing...run, as far away as you can, as fast as you can." Lucemon explained to him.

"Yep-yep, you just leave this boring temple here to the two of us. ...Oh, eh Mike, are those guys out yet?" Ty asked Mike.

Silence truly was the companion in the forest, normally there would be fluttering of wings or the sounds of bug Digimon crawling across trees. A stream could be heard with running water but it seemed quite a distance away.

The silence would not last long though as a yellow dinosaur with a mark on his left arm and a scar on his mouth was following the group from the treetops, behind him followed a small unit consisted of Gatsumon and a Gizamon who bore the same mark as the Agumon.

The group quickly moved to pass the humans and their partners, before waiting silently before the Agumon drop down. “Pepper breath" He said as he fired a small fireball from his mouth at the group.

How had they already found them? Dorumon responds quickly with, “Dash metal” firing an iron sphere at the pepper breath in hopes to lessen the amount of damage. While he charges towards the Agumon.

Clearly expecting the pepper breath to do more, Agumon was off guard when Dorumon charged at him but not wanting to look weak, Agumon fired off more Pepper breaths at the charging Dorumon. Distracting him while the others would gather round the Digidestined ready to cut them apart from each other.

Dorumon ignored the Pepper breaths, despite them clearly hitting his skin. He winced, but refused to let the Digidestined down. Not after all the trouble he went through to get them here. Dorumon opened his jaws and goes into bite Augomon with a Dino Tooth.

Agumon roared in pain as he felt Dorumon jaws clamp down into his arm causing him a great amount of pain, he would start punching Dorumon to try and get him to let go of his arm but this distraction was what he needed as the rest of his force would drop down right in the middle of the Digidestined and start using very weak version of there attack to get them to panic and run off into the forest scared, splitting them up.

Augomon’s punches, however worked, as he managed to hit one of Dorumon’s burns from the Pepper Breath. Dorumon doubled back, noticing what was happening behind him. Dorumon distracted and obviously not wanting to get the Digidestined hurt called out, “Do not panic. Get to safety!” He didn’t want the kids to panic. Didn’t want them afraid. If they ran off and scattered where he couldn’t find them. He turns around in hopes that Augomon will be distracted by his pain as he stands still, “Metal Cannon”. Dorumon is drawing in power to blast Augomon’s minions away.

Agumon was distracted by his pain, and his next move was going to hurt even more as he grab Dorumon by the tail to stop him from helping though it would leave Agumon open to taking a shot at point blank range since Dorumon could swing his tail round but at the very least it would ensure the children stayed scattered long enough to give Captain Mike and Emperor Ty enough time to gather some more crests. Agumon would have to retreat after the next attack as he could not take another hit.

Dorumon felt someone tug at his tail, he was being dragged back a bit. Dorumon whipped his body into a C and releases his metal cannon at Augomon instead.

Agumon eyes went wide as he took the metal cannon at point blank, the impact sending him crashing through trees and ending with him crashing into the dirt next to a stream, where little did he know one of the kids would end up running to.

The Lost Forest

(Due to the Leave of @Sleepingsilence, I shall momentarily take control of Tristan, and effectively eliminate him from the RP. I have little confidence that I can do this as well as Sleeping, but as the general purpose is elimination, and to show some degree of respect, I will essentially do this not by direct control of the character, but by narrating his actions through the eyes of my own members of Agumon's spy force.)

Needless to say, the attacks from the three of them was enough to be considered a problem. Dorumon was handling the giant orange fire-breathing anthropomorphic salamander, but the kid-sized Golem and...whatever the crap Gizamon is suppose to be, was now throwing attacks at them as well.

In the midst of this chaos, three more digimon, Two twin Petitmamons - a boy and girl - and a single Dracmon in the middle, watched the panicked digidestines as they were attacked by their fellow spies on orders of their boss, Captain Mike, or "General Bloodwolf", as some among the spies called him.

"Sheesh, How come they get all the fun, and we have to sit around and observed?" Dracmon asked, resting his head on his hand in boredom.

"Cause if we try to scare them, they'll just swat us out of the way like flies. I mean, they're huge, even their smallest one's like a giant compared to us!" The male Petitmamon responded.

"Plus, if you tried to attack them, you'd just pull a prank on them instead of trying to scare them." The female Petitmamon added.

"Ey, Pranks can be scary too, you know!"

"Scaring a flock of Bidomons away with a fire cracker doesn't count, Al." The male Petitmamon said, a small mischievous smirk when he did.

"Aw, shut it Jamie!" The Dracmon, known as Al, said in response.

"Where did you even get a Fire cracker anyways?" The female asked.

"...Jessica, trust me, some things you really don't want to know." Al said to the female Petitmamon, known as Jessica. After which there was silence for a bit as the trio observed Agumon's plan to scatter them.

For much of it, it seemed to work well, pretty much exactly as Agumon wanted it seems as Gotsumon and Gizamon worked to scatter the Digidestines.

However, Gotsumon in particular had seemed to be having a little trouble scattering a particular group of people, among them was Katheryn with her Bukamon, and Tristan with his Gigimon. Gotsumon seemed to be getting a bit flustered, frustrated at the fact that his side of the digidestines weren't scattering from his rocks. Perhaps it was in this frustration that he seemed to throw a particular bigger rock towards the Digidestines, but unlike his little rocks and unlike Gizamon and Agumon, he seemed to aim directly at one of them, Katheryn. Out of what can only be assumed as an instinct of selflessness, Tristan pushed away Katheryn, only for the rock to hit him instead, right in the back of his skull, as the boy then dropped to the ground, face down, and much to the confusion of the trio, never moved again.

"Ouch! A direct hit, that's gonna leave a mark." Al said.

"So much for keeping restraint, that was clearly a normal-sized Rock Fist." Jamie then said, sighing as if bored.

"That must have really hurt...but, shouldn't humans be screaming or moving like they're in pain?" Jessica asked, causing the other two to take notice of this particular oddity.

"...Maybe they just don't react to pain."

"Or maybe Gotsumon paralyzed him?" Jamie said in response to Al's inquiry.

"But Gotsumon doesn't have a paralysis effect on his attacks..." Jessica pointed out before Al then took out some sort of small device from his pocket, and began pushing buttons.

"...Hey, wait...Didn't he have a digimon with him? Where did that go?" She asked, but with no answer, for while Al was fiddling with the device he had, Jamie was focused on something else about Tristan's body, as the device that was attached to his wrist seemingly opened up on its own and ejected off the arm.

"Did that digivice thingie...just come off by itself? Why would it do that, he seems fine to...w-wait, what's that gooey red stuff coming out of his head? Looks like ketchup..." Jamie then asked, immediately noticing that the back of Tristan's head was now leaking blood as a result of the wound. Jessica tilted her head to the side in confusion, not sure how to answer her brother before turning towards Al.

"What cha doing?" She asked him.

"Calling General Bloodwolf through the emergency line."

"Hey wait, don't we need to report to the boss about this first?" Jamie interjected. Al then immediately looked back towards where Agumon and Dorumon are fighting, before turning back to Jamie.

"Pretty sure he'd grill us if we interrupt his fun time with Dorumon over there. Besides, General Bloodwolf's a human right? I'm sure he'll know what this guy's doing." Al said, before then activating the device in question.

"Oi, General Bloodwolf sir, Agents Jessica, Jamie, and Al reporting for duty. The boss is busy right now, so we had to use the emergency channel, sorry about that. Anyways, we've hit a bit of a confusing snag. Everything seemed to go as planned, then one of Gotsumon's rock fists smacked one of the Digidestines heads, and we don't know what the guy's doing. He seems to be just lying there, face first on the ground, not moving an inch, didn't seem to make a sound either. We think he's paralyzed but I don't think Gotsumon has a paralysis effect to his attacks. The digimon with him disappeared and the Digivice apparently jumped off the arm on its own...I guess? Is this what sleeping is for humans, or is he just sick? ...Oh, also, Jamie said something about ketchup coming out of his head, is that normal?" Al said into the device, sending the Voice message directly towards Mike's laptop/digivice.

“What’s that?” Kokomon ask.

He knew he should be following the others behind, but something had caught his eye. A strange log out of place with the large trees that the others seemed impressed with. He was still feeling nervous about all the events that had happened. Anxiety clashing and even though the tightening his chest had faded, the pain was still there. Often the only thing that eased this sensation was to draw. This log seemed different, broken cracks reminded him of stain glass. Stain glass made from bark. A dryad must have made these broken, mossy colors, and put them into the image that it presented itself. That or it could have been a natural programming flaw to look more authentic. Though he tried to push that aside. Taking out his sketchbook and beginning to sketch what was in front him. Conjuring up the silhouette of a jovial, kind face of a dryad. He had forgotten Kokomon was even here or that there were others. Drawing a dreamland to escape the uncomfortable dark thoughts that had begun to surface. Until Kokomon sat on top of his sketchbook.

“We’re going to lose the others,” Kokomon tells him.

He looks towards the pathway the trees were creating. Indeed he was losing them. But he was hoping that if he stayed behind that all of this would fade to black and be a weird dream. Kokomon looked at him and he looked back.

“I am really not,” Kei mumbled, “a hero.”

Kokomon takes a second.

“I think Dorumon has high expectations, but we cannot runaway from the threat,” Kokomon tells him.

“I know,” Kei replies, he stares at the grass, “I know, but I’ll just bother everybody. I’m younger than them and this whole entire time, I have behaved like a baby.”

Kokomon says nothing just stares at him. Kei looks away.

Rachel had already been walking ahead of them. Her eyes, narrowing at what could happen to them. It wasn’t like this was simply easy to figure out. They didn’t really know exactly where they were going. They had just gotten separated from everyone a bit ago.

Sunmon bounced behind her, “Hey Rachel, how much longer do you think until we’re over there.”

Rachel felt a vein pulsed in her forehead, twitching. Just why was her Digimon asking her? Didn’t he know exactly where they were, “You’re not around too much here, are you?”

“Well, not really.” Sunmon muttered to himself, “I don’t really know this area. I was too busy trying to find you.”

Rachel sweatdropped, “Well ain’t that lovely.” She remarked sarcastically, “Just our luck.” She stretched her arms out, yawning before realizing Kei and Kokomon were a bit behind her. She turned over to them, “Hey, we really need to keep moving!” She told him, crossing her arms across her chest. They couldn’t dawdle in a situation like this.

“Reicheru-san,” Kei calls out, he looks at Kokomon, then back at her, he gets up from the ground. He didn’t want to be made fun of. Just a stupid kid. He walks a bit closer to Reicheru, he supposed he hadn’t met her new friend now. Kei looks up at her, “Sorry. I uh.”

He scrunches up his face, “Do you still think this is all still a dream? Or is it really real?” Kei pauses, “Oh hello. Do you know Kokomon?” he ask her new watch friend.

She looked over at him, blinking at the nickname. Ah, yeah, Japanese name she had to remember that. She didn’t know too much about Japanese culture, but she knew they had honorifics. She decided that was fine, but the kid was pretty young once she thought about it, very young in fact. It made her note that she’ll have to help him if needed. She wasn’t fond of kids, but she knew it was pretty traumatic even more for him.

She sighed, shrugging at him, crossing her arms across her chest, “Unfortunately. It’s probably real.” She stated, “I don’t know about this whole prophecy thing, but it’s pretty bad they just slammed us into this world. Almost sadistic, really.” She paused, stopping herself. Damn, she shouldn’t be saying things around this kid. It was only going to get him even more freaked out, “Sorry, I really shouldn’t be saying that. It’s just that these guys strike me as pretty crazy if they just kidnapped us here.” Dorumon was a odd one and while Rachel still didn’t trust people from this Digital World, it wasn’t like they had much of a choice but to follow in order to survive.

She looked down at the other Digimon, “Oh no, I don’t know him. Hello Kokomon.” Meanwhile, Sunmon was hiding behind her leg, “Hey, introduce yourself. It’s alright.” She told him before Sunmon hopped over to Kokomon.

“Hi, I’m Sunmon.” He grinned nervously, being a little shy. He wasn’t good at interacting with other people.

That was something Kei could have agreed with this. This could have been done in a much different way and thinking about it, he was still anxious, but he was also growing irritated with the situation. If Dorumon wanted their help then he needed to make more of an effort. Balloons don’t sooth over the fact they were taken from their homes.

“Hi,” Kei told Sunmon, “I’m Kei and this is Kokomon.”

Kokomon smiles, “Hiya Reicheru-san.” imitating the name that Kei had called her. Kokomon looked impressed with himself that he had paid attention.

Introductions aside Kei nodded his head. There was no point in being mopey. Reicheru-san was right, they had no other choice. That’s fine, but he was going to give Dorumon a piece of his mind.

“We should catch up to the others,” Kei told her, “I have somethings to tell Dorumon if he wants our help.”

Rachel smiled at his comment, resting her hands in her long black short sleeve sweater, “Yeah, I got a bone to pick with him myself.” She rested her hand on her hips and sighed, “Let’s keep going. The last thing we need is to get lost more so than what we already are.” She knew that damn dinosaur had something. Purple dinosaurs were always suspicious just look at Barney. Dude in the costume was apparently a drug dealer.

Kid got a little bit of bite, she noticed. That was good. Showed her that he wasn’t much of a delicate kid despite being the youngest of the group.

Storming passed the hall of trees Kei convulsively rehearsed out loud to open air, “Next time you take people you have to explain clearly what you want from them. You can’t just expect people to help you because you….you...you look...like a sad puppy.”

Kei nods his head at his own convictions. While a minute ago he felt emotional vertigo, now there was agitated storm brewing inside of him. He points at the air to no one in particular, “You listen here Dorumon. If you want our help, you have to tell who is involved, why we’re fighting and why we truly have to help you. You….know what...you can’t just give the droopy...dog eyes at us and expect us to feel sorry for you.”

Kokomon stares directly at Kei. What is he doing? Has his master already lost his mind?

“What are you doing?” Kokomon ask Kei.

“Yelling at Dorumon,” Kei replies quickly.

“He’s not here,” Kokomon looks around, “they are up ahead.”

“In my mind, I am yelling at Dorumon in my mind,” Kei replied.

“Why are we mad at Dorumon?” Kokomon asked.

“Would you like being taken and locked up, not knowing that someone took you somewhere with potential danger without saying goodbye to your family?” Kei asked Kokomon.

“Probably not,” Kokomon replies, “Okay. What’s a droopy dog?”

“It’s when someone gives you a pity look and wants your forgiveness,” Kei replies.

He’s absorbing everything Kei has said. Now he’s mad at Dorumon and he’s not sure why. But Kei seems mad. So, it’s natural right, that he should be mad too?

Wow, this kid was weird. Rachel scratched the back of her head nervously. Not that she wasn’t thinking about how she was going to tell off Dorumon. He definitely had a backbone for sure. Very fiesty kid. Honestly, she was glad that she got lost with him and not any of the others. He seemed like the easiest one to get along with, honestly.

“Why do people argue out loud, Rachel?” Sunmon asked curiously, looking a little nervous. For such a small human, he was really feisty.

“To let out their emotions.” Rachel assumed, shrugging, twirling a lock of her brown, curly hair, “Kei, are you going to give Dorumon one heck of a chew out that I won’t have to?” She asked, chuckling. She wanted to mess with him to lighten the mood. She couldn’t stand everything feeling so damn dark.

“Why would he want to chew out Dorumon?” Sunmon asked.

Well, so much for lighting the mood now. She was getting annoyed.

“Well, he fucked our lives over pretty much.” She shrugged, “Could get us all killed.”

“What do you mean by fucking our lives over?” Sunmon wondered, looking confused, “We can’t die, the prophecy probably doesn’t say anything like that…”

“For the love of all that is good, you’re really an airhead, aren’t you.” Rachel twitched, sighing to herself. And this timid, odd little Digimon is her partner? Are these people for real?

When Reicheru pointed out he was arguing with nobody Kei flailed his arms around a bit nervously. Feeling the heat of his cheeks he had a bad habit of behaving weird in front of others. He must have looked like a mess crying then yelling at the air.

“Aaa, I am sorry Reicheru-san,” Kei said nervously, “I...must look weird. I am sorry.” He looks down at the ground a bit. He really wasn’t made for interacting with other people, is he?

Kokomon watches Kei.

“Kei? When are we going to get snacks?” Kokomon ask.

“Eh, I’m not going to judge you for that.” Rachel shrugged turning back away from him before continuing to walk along, “No need to apologize, Kei. It didn’t bother me at all. It just took me by surprise is all. She sighed, “Besides, we should worry about more important things at the moment.”

“Like saving the digital world!” Sunmon piped up.

“Nah, to get ourselves back home and back to safety.” She stretched her arms out, “Didn’t think I was going to play the heroine role here, but guess it’s been thrusted upon me.” She sweatdropped, looking down at Sunmon who looked happy that she said such things, “Yeah, I just admitted I have to deal with you. Are you happy now?”

“Of course I am!” Sunmon cheered happily, bouncing happily, “Means that you’ll save our worlds.”

Get me out of this anime cliche. Rachel thought to herself, groaning mentally to herself.

She seemed nice like Kyasari-san earlier. No one has really made fun of him yet, at least he didn’t get the feeling. Despite him being a baby upon their first meeting.

“Thank you,” Kei mumbles, “For not making fun of me that is. I get made fun of a lot, so it’s good not to be. I know I do odd stuff, but I promise I’ll…”

He really had no choice. Couldn’t really make a promise based on a task forced upon him. Yet, here he was.

“To help save the world too, but I am mad because we needed to know that beforehand, I’ll do it, but because…..I want to,” Kei mumbles that didn’t come out as he wanted it to come out.

“Oo, I like the sound of that, but on the way, snacks,” Kokomon throws his hint out once again.

“People tend to let out the negativity out of their lives and onto other people.” She crossed her arms across her chest, “Granted, that doesn’t give them the right to do such things, but you won’t have to worry about anyone messing with you.” Because she’d kick the crap out of them if they did, “Don’t worry, I don’t intend on watching a friend of mine get hurt. It’s not like me to sit back when someone’s getting pushed around.” But it has gotten her into bad situations, but that was okay. She was still going to do it, regardless.

“Ah, I got a sister I really love back in our world.” Rachel nodded, “I wanna get out of here to be there for her. I can’t be dying if she’s around. She needs me, after all.” She turned over to Kokomon, “We really shouldn’t be worrying about snacks when our lives are on the line and we don’t know where we’re going.” She sighed. Man, they are really doomed, aren’t they?

“Can’t save the world on an empty stomach,” Kokomon retorts, “Food is important to keep up one’s strength.” Kei looks at Kokomon.

“Where did you get that from?” Kei asked Kokomon.

“Hopmon,” Kokomon says happily. It sounded wise to him.

Coming through the clearing now the group becoming visible, though they were scattering away as a loud explosion could be heard. As the two of them reached the clearing, they caught the end of an orange Dinosaur attacking a Dorumon, grabbing him by his tail. Something like a beam came from Dorumon’s mouth and the orange dinosaur was blown away through the clearing of the forest.

Rachel put her arm in front of Kei as she saw the orange dinosaur being blown away through the clearing of the forest. Her eyes widened at the sight, startled, “Okay, what the hell just happened?” She covered her face before looking over at Dorumon. Was that orange dinosaur being blown away done? Or did they have to worry about that thing trying to kill them?

“Ah, that was an Agumon.” Sumon squeaked, “And if Dorumon is actually fighting him, he must be an enemy.”

“Well no, I thought he was on a nice little stroll.” Rachel remarked sarcastically, “We shouldn’t just rush in though. What if he isn’t done yet?” She pointed out. She didn’t want all of them dying already.

Witnessing Agumon’s attack was the first realization that this wasn’t a dream. It was like slowly connecting the dots together. Kei looks at Reicheru, “What about the others?”

Rachel looked around, trying to see if she saw the others, taking a few steps forward before looking around, seeing nothing really. She looks like she’ll have to go and see for herself. That would be pretty dangerous though.

She gulped, “Well, I can’t see them, but I’ll take a look at them.” She looked at Sunmon, “Let’s go!”

“Ah, but you said it would be reckless to rush in…” Sunmon began before she was cut off by Rachel.

“Don’t think we have much of a choice at this point, honestly.” Rachel sighed, “Dorumon might chew my head off, but I’m not intending on just rushing while he’s helping. I’m gonna try to navigate around. Let’s hope there isn’t any other ones running around here intending on hurting us.” Sumon popped on her shoulder.

“I’m going to help,” Kei utters quickly following after Reicheru. Even if they couldn’t see the others they had to be here, somewhere, right?

“I’ll help too,” Kokomon says with a bit more enthusiasm than the situation should call for.

Looking around as the dust settled, it seemed like the others were not here. Only a handful maybe, in the bushes. Was it safe now? What if there was a second attack? Further exploring the surroundings Kei paused as he saw a shoe. Tristan was lying face down in the dirt, with the back of his head bleeding slightly. Kei could feel a squirming in his stomach.

“Reicheru-san,” he calls out, as Dorumon seems to be confused looking around for which direction the kids had went.

Rachel was running back over to him, taking the scenic route that she had planned beforehand before hearing Kei’s voice in the distance. She quickly ran forward before she panted.

Her eyes widened at the sight of Tristan. She looked over at him before she covered her mouth with her hand, trying to keep herself from freaking out, “Oh God…” She breathed. Did that dinosaur do that? The one that Dorumon fought earlier? It had to have been him.

Sunmon felt tears going down his face, “Oh no, one of the children has died. This isn’t...this isn’t supposed to go like this…” This was horrible. What could they do? How were they going to tell the others?

He couldn’t stop his body from shaking he couldn’t tell if he were really sad or if there was another emotion bubbling from within. Torisutan didn’t get to say goodbye to his family, his family didn’t say goodbye to him. They didn’t know, they didn’t know that today could have been the last day. Dorumon just took them and now and now and now. Kei turns his head to glare at Dorumon though tears are blurring his vision. Dorumon’s head is low in that sad droopy looking face he gave earlier explaining nothing.

Dorumon looks sadly at the Digidestined. He didn’t want this to happen. He told them to run. What was he supposed to do now? What about the other Digidestined, he told them to run, he didn’t know they would run in different directions. Things weren’t going the way they were supposed too. Wiping a tear for the Digidestined Dorumon went to reach for the human’s arm.

Whap!

Dorumon was hit much harder on the head by the same book earlier. The tiniest Digidestin was glaring at him fiercely with angry tears in his eyes.

“This is your fault!” Kei shouted, “You took us here. You don’t get to make that expression or that face when you’re the one who took us here! You never explained this world to us. You never asked us! And now look!”

Dorumon was taken aback that this human boy was fiercely shouting at him. Shame and regret panged his chest. Rubbing his head where it stung, also where he had been burned from Pepper Breaths earlier. Dorumon says in a solemn voice, “I know it is, but I can make it right.”

“How?” Kei asked, “Tell me how. Because right now everyone is out there in the forest. Lost. They could get hurt. And Torisutan parents, his family, what about them? Can you give them that back?”

Dorumon looks to the ground. The longer they were here, the other Digidestin may have gone too far. The boy was crying and yelling and Dorumon couldn’t tell if he were angry or sad.

Rachel watched Kei smack Dorumon in the face in the sketchbook, watching the kid get angry at Dorumon. She clenched her fists, shaking, gritting her teeth. She couldn’t utter any crying, but she was angry. She didn’t like feeling this fucking useless. She hated being useless more than anything in this world. She was angry that this kid had to die. She was angry at the enemy for hurting him. She was angry at herself for not being strong enough. She needed to do something to make sure nothing happens to the others. She could do something about it. She needed to take this as something that she needed, no that was absolutely unable to happen again.

She wanted to tear their damn boss apart for doing what he did. He was partially responsible. If he wanted a battle, she’ll fucking give him one.

Dorumon, as much as she wanted to yell at him too, she finds herself unable to. She knows he’s suffering as well. This was hard on him as any of them, and that, was punishment in of itself.

Something suddenly went off on her digivice, her eyes widened before she noticed that Sunmon was being encoded with light. Was this….?

When the light faded, it showed a Coronamon. That’s what it said in her Digivice anyways. Did he just Digivolve?

“Whoa, I digivolved.” Coronamon grinned, “Which is awesome. See, Rachel, we can really get stronger. My digievolution happened. Just like your heart wanted.”

Rachel’s eyes widened, not believing this, but it happened, and she nodded, “We’ll do more than that, I promise.”

“I like that fighting spirit in you.” Coronamon grinned, punching his fist into the air.

She looked over at Kei, “Let’s go after the others. Let’s find them and make sure they’re safe.” She rested a hand on his shoulder, “It’s what Tristan would’ve wanted.”

Kei looks at Dorumon than Reicheru. Sunmon’s evolved before their eyes. So it is true? All of this is true. Real as well.

Dorumon tucks his tail behind his legs, his ears droop, “I’m sorry I failed you as a Guardian of the Digidestined. I have to get Tristan’s Digivice so that way I find the next candidate for the crest.”

Kei looked at Reicheru. Then back at Dorumon.

“How does that work?” Kei asked.

“Well the Digivice will create a portal to this world, but not yours. It gets the Digidestined here, but it can’t take them back,” Dorumon tells Kei as he removes the Digivice from Tristan’s wrist. Dorumon looks sadly at the body.

“So, we’re going to get another, Digidestined?” Kei ask. He didn’t like the idea that Toristan could so easily be replace. This world is callous.

“Yes,” Dorumon responded, “I will speak with them and convince them to come.”

Kei didn’t like those prospects. Dorumon speak to the person he was going to bring into here. Dorumon, the one who tried to smooth this over with balloons and thought he was doing a good job communicating with them.

“Anyone can speak to them?” Kei asked.

“Yes, in a way,” Dorumon replies.

“I’ll do it, I’ll speak with them and I’ll tell everything they need to know,” Kei told Dorumon.

Meanwhile Kokomon looks sadly at the Digidestined who didn’t make it. Poor thing, he felt bad, he wasn’t sure what to do. Noticing Coronamon Kokomon with respect simply says, “Congratulations.”

“Thank you, but I couldn’t do it without Rachel’s strong determination. Hey, I feel a lot less scared now and it’s all thanks to you.” He scratched the back of his head, “Just don’t do anything rash, Rachel.”

She sighed, knowing fully well that someone like Kei probably didn’t like how replaciable Tristan was, and she couldn’t blame him. However, she did see Dorumon’s point as well. It was what they needed. As grim as that really was, she understood it. They needed someone to fill the slot and that, unfortunately, meant that someone else was going to get involved in this.

“Kei, let’s make sure we find the others.” Rachel turned to him, “And let’s make sure someone doesn’t share the same fate as our friend just did.” It was hard to call him friend, really. She didn’t even know him.

“That’s why we have to,” Kei pause, “Bring the other person in. The right way. To find the others. And keep everyone from…” he didn’t want to say it so he simply trailed off. It’s when he noticed Seven standing up from his hiding position. Oh. Oh that’s embarrassing. He probably saw what happened with his artbook again. Kei turned his attention away from Seven. Looking at Reicheru, “We...have to be.” he shook his head she’s the who’s Digimon evolved, “After this. You should...guide us.”

Mike looked up from his map forming as the the New flag pulsed though. "Agumon was reporting that all the kids had started moving out of the hotel. He was going to follow them though the lost forest to keep an eye on them" Mike told Ty calmly.

Though his eyes went back down to his compter when he noticed the emergency line ringing. "Hmmm, that's odd and kinda worrying" Mike said to himself first though Wolfy look over at him after straighten out his fur. Wolfy walked over to Mike and saw the emergency line ringing. "That is a cause for concern, you don't think Agumon got into trouble do you?" He asked Mike who simply said "Well, that a worst case scenario if it is". Mike then answered the call to be greeted by the face of AI the Dracomon who told him the situation.

Though the moment, he mentioned Tristin. Mike felt his blood run cold, it was a good thing, it was a video message, it meant they could not see Mike expression which ranged from angry to upset to annoyed before finally settle on great anger as he stood up from his laptop, pacing angrily and yelled out at the top of his voice "GOD FUCKING DAMMIT" as he punched the wall hard, leaving a crack in the wall and him with bloody knuckles.
He picked up his laptop and sent a reply to the trio trying to remain calm but his anger could be seen "Retreat from the scene, Grab Captain Agumon and the Gatsumon who killed the human. That action going to put us it a dire situation, reunite with army"
Mike then looked up to the front of the army and yelled at Ty "Ty, get you ass back here immediately. Something dire has come up and honestly whatever plan you and Lucy have will be affected by it"
