Bast Ragoczy

As Bast carefully took a closer look at Talia's wound, it was clear that although it was a bad wound and she was in a lot of pain, she was very lucky. The bullet was still intact and didn't fragmented inside her. If it had, it would be much harder to take all the small pieces. Luckily, even being wounded, Nephele was quick to go to the forge to get a dagger from there after Bast asked for something sharp.

"This will do perfectly. You have my gratitude, Miss Nephele." Bast said, gently getting the dagger from her hand, taking a glance at her wound. Surprisingly enough, even such a big knife wound, she had already managed to staunch the bleeding. Maybe it was due to her draconic blood?

Bartholomew, on the other hand, even being the primary target of all that attack, didn't seem to be all that affected by it, seeing it how as soon as he got up, he was already asking about how everyone was and if Freyr could help him securing the area outside.

Talking about Freyr, Bast wondered what happened with the male Viera... Was he also hit by the musketeers? He did take out one of them, but soon after the explosion, Bast didn't see him anymore... But just after he thought that, he heard Freyr's voice coming from upstairs as he replied Bart. After Freyr said that it was the explosion, Bast realized that he was probably unconscious until now, due to his heightened hearing. The loud explosion was probably too much for him to handle. As Freyr passed by him, nodding Bast simply nodded back, silently telling him that he had everything under control.

"Oh, don't worry about it, Bartholomew. Everything is under control here." Bast said as Bart left by the huge hole on the guild's door to see if it was already safe outside. Just as he got out though, Talia turned to Bast, saying that she hoped he knew what he was doing.

"Oh, don't worry about it, Miss Talia. Knowledge is my most prized possession. I am very well versed in many areas. Luckily, medicine is one of them. Although... This is far from what I would consider... ideal. We will have to improvise seeing how we don't have medical equipment available here. It will hurt." Bast said, with a smirk as he winked mischievously to her while holding the dagger, indicating he would start.

"Now... Miss Talia, you were very lucky..." Bast said, gently touching the small hole made by the bullet with the tip of the dagger.

"The bullet didn't fragment with the impact. It would be almost impossible to do something only with a dagger if it had. Please, try to not move that much." Bast said, making an incision where the bullet wound was with agile and precise movements, opening the wound just enough so he could get out the bullet with the tip of the dagger. After a few seconds, both Talia and Nephele would hear the sound of a small metallic object falling on the ground. Staunching the bleeding after that wasn't too hard.

"Thanks for the assistance, Nephele." Bast said, nodding respectfully to her as she headed to her room. She was probably exhausted after so many things happening.

"I'm sorry for the pain, Miss Talia. Just be sure to rest a bit. After all, you just saved a man's life today. You deserve it." Bast said with a gentle smile.

"I need to go outside to see if anyone else was wounded. If anything happens, if the wound opens again, you have but to call me. Don't overexert yourself, lest you want the wound to open again..." Bast said as he went outside.

Getting there, he saw a big group, Haley, Ditzy, Neil, Bartholomew, Eilidh and an interesting new arrival, a very tall woman with a reptilian tail and sharp teeth, discussing what they should do with the intruder they captured, which was unconscious on the ground.

"Talia is ok now Bart. The bullet was still intact so it was easy to take it out and cauterize the wound shortly after. Is everything ok around here?" Bast asked, his hands still dirty with blood as he walked towards them.

"Eilidh, my dear, are you wounded?" Bast asked with a genuinely worried expression towards her.

"You don't know how relieved I am to see you unharmed." Bast said, with a kind and sweet smile towards the female centaur. For many other people there, it was the first time they saw him with such a honest and kind smile, unlike the normally mysterious and suspicious aura that always seemed to hover around him.

Freyr

Freyr's head was still spinning when he heard Bart's voice. Getting up and leaning against the handrails as he got down the stairs, he realized that everything was ok. Bast was taking helping Talia who was hit by the musketeer's weapon while Nephele assisted him. Everything seemed to be ok inside the guild.

"I'm... ok. I'm just a bit disorientated from the explosion." Freyr said, replying to Bart. It was just after he looked where Bart was going that he saw how big the hole on the wall was.

Shaking his head a few times, it took him a few minutes to the dizziness to stop, but after it was done, he looked to Bast, who seemed to have already finished treating Talia. Giving him a small nod, thanking him for helping her, he followed Bart, passing through the obscenely big hole on the wall, running.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. The explosion was too loud... The pain was too much for me to do much more besides taking out one of the musketeers." Freyr said to Bart as he got closer to the group. Neil was just finished asking what they should do with the bandit leader and Bart asked who was responsible for the hole in the wall.

His eyes searched for wounded between Magnus, Ditzy, Neil, Eilidh and Haley but fortunately, nobody was badly wounded, but as he looked to Haley, he saw that she had her wings over her ear and was in pain. There was also two strange figures, a very tall woman with a reptilian tail and ominously sharp teeth and an unconscious man whom Freyr presumed it was one of the intruders. Freyr was at guard when he first saw the woman, but seeing as how everyone was at ease near her, he presumed she was an ally.

"Haley... Are you wounded?" He asked, going near her with a worried expression carefully looking her to see if she was bleeding. She had probably facing a similar pain that he faced after the explosion.

Looking towards the unconscious man, Freyr's eyes were cold and hard, filled with rage for a second, before he turned to Haley and the group again as they continued discussing what to do with him.

"I don't think letting him go free is a good idea." Freyr said, with a cold stare towards the man.

"A man like him is better dead." he completed.

The decision was made by Titanica herself when she hurled the unconscious intruder far away.

"Nice throw." Neil tiredly remarked.

"Haley... Are you wounded?"
Freyr

"Huh?!" Haley replied to Freyr loudly. "I-I can't hear much right now, Freyr! Just... tell me later, okay?!"

"I did."
Titanica

"S-She did blow the hole in the wall, but...s-she was just trying to defend our guild. A-and she saved Haley,"
Magnus Eissenhoeff

"I know she meant well but from what I've seen, she was perfectly capable of handling this without collateral damage." Bart replied to Magnus.

"And for that, you Miss need to make it up to us." Bart returned to Titanica. "We are known as The Guild and I am its leader, Bartholomew Barker. Everyone else you see here are members of the guild. You have our gratitude for helping fend off those thugs." He first introduced himself and the rest of the people there. "But again, you still have damaged Guild property."

"For that, we will need gold to pay for the repairs and the materials. However, it does not seem you've any money with you..." Bart trailed off. "It seems you may have to work for us in order to pay us back." The guild leader suggested. "What do you say?"

Neil sighed. "I knew it." Seeing through the indirect invitation and deducing that was Bart's intention all along.

"What is your name, stranger?"

After Titanica introduced herself, the Guild retired for the night. Save for Neil who waited for Yang's group while also keeping watch at the hole. The rest of the night was filled with the sounds of heavy raindrops and the occasional rumbles of thunder.

~@Restalaan (YNG), @Silver Carrot (REB)~

"Thanks, our quest...didn't end well. I'll have to report this to Guildmaster Bart first though. Is he still awake?"
Yang Bethlehem

Neil was frozen still when Yang hugged him, only responding when asked the question. "U-Umm... yeah... No! He's asleep as well as... everyone else on the guild. I, uhh... stayed awake to wait for you guys." The boy said, a bit flushed from the hug.

"The hole's... a long story. I guess we can talk about it later." Neil said about the hole that was once the entrance. "You guys should clean up and rest for now. With your quest not ending well and all."

---THE NEXT DAY---

~@The Irish Tree (NEP)~

You woke up for the morning under cool temperatures. It had stopped raining but the dark clouds did not go away.

You see Neil standing up and... wearing the clothes you found last night. He appeared to be examining it but the look on his face suggested he was actually reminiscing. "Normally, I'd be mad at you for rummaging through my stuff and finding about my secret." Neil began, knowing you were awake. "But I was... dying, to share this." He continued. "I wanted someone to know my situation. To know my predicament. Just... someone I could talk to. But I thought no one's going to believe me. So, these stuff just got to stay hidden."

Neil then sat on his bed. "So... I'm not mad. Well, a bit but... I'm more glad that you actually found this. Makes this a whole lot easier." The boy sighed then chuckled. "Do you even know what you found? Do you know what all this means?" He then asked you, motioning at his strange clothes. "Do you know who these two are?" Neil continued to ask, referring to the two figures on his shirt.

"Come on, Nephele. Guess." Neil had a smile on his face. A sad one but expectant to your answer.

The next morning had arrived but no sunlight permeated through the windows. The dark clouds still hung in the sky but it no rain fell from it. Not yet, at least. The lack of sunlight made the morning colder than usual and if the weather continued like this, the Guild will have to operate in cool temperatures for the rest of the day.

"Good morning everyone!" Haley flew across the guild hall. "We had a rough night yesterday and I couldn't hear a thing! I thought I was deaf for the rest of my life!" The Siren continued happily. "Boy did I get nightmares about that! But fortunately, that isn't the case! So I still get to hear me do this!" Haley then hummed a lovely tune to the guild members.

The Sky Is The Limit

~@AzureKnight (VRA & NAG), @Lacroix~

The destination of the Fire Demon Vara and the Ice Dragon Nagare was common and their reactions too were common when they saw the guild headquarters. Sure it was grand and imposing, the stone and metalwork design giving it a Dwarven feel to it, but there was one detail about the building that they could not ignore: There was a big hole into the building that did not seem to be intentional, giving a rather large peek to the hall inside.

From outside, they both could see an orange-haired man holding a board and announcing something. Then a Siren landed beside him and took the board from him. It was then that the orange-haired man turned around and saw the two monsters staring at him through the hole. "Oh! Hello there!" He greeted them, startled.

Emerging through the hole, the man continued. "Uhhh, welcome to The Guild! We are a guild that accomplishes requests for people for a reward. Usually. Welcome again, ladies!" He told Vara and Nagare. "Err, don't mind the gaping hole in our building. It's a... It's a long story."

"So! Can I help you ladies? Do you have a request for us to do for you?"

It was then that Vanessa arrived which put more pressure on the orange-haired man. "Uh, hello there too!" He greeted Vanessa. "Welcome to The Guild! Please do not mind our current appearance. This is all but a result of very unfortunate circumstances."

As Titanica waits for a response, she is approached by a rather muscular person who's grinning to childish glee.

"Oh, you're strong! Are you a dragon! Where's your gold?"
Ditzy

The towering woman looks down at him, still issuing her scowl of seriousness. She bares her teeth ever so slightly to this response.

"I am no dragon." she simply growls.

Yet it didn't seem to matter much to him as he extends his hand out in a friendly and eagar way.

"Wanna be friends? And what's your name?"
Ditzy

Before Titanica can have any chance to respond, the man she admitted herself to began to explain the situation as of currently. Despite her honesty and good-deeds regarding the decision, the damage she caused wouldn't be forgiven according to the guild leader, Bartholomew Barker. The towering titan had a hunch prior that this was simply no ordinary house and that some organization was indeed hiding out, but she didn't know what and why for. Yet she has strayed into their territory and damaged their property in the form of their front entrance and now she needs to pay for the damages by working for them in order to pay it back. The minotaur warrior began to fight on her behalf that she saved the guild from the bandit attack, but without avail.

The Titan is obviously not pleased in the slightest to being forced to join them, growling menacingly at the thought of this man trying to "tame" her, and she can easily leave them without hesitation. After all, they should be grateful that she took time from her travels just to eliminate the bandit threats. Yet despite the man being a bit of an ass, the cast making up the guild didn't seem half-bad. Some even thanked her for the help in saving their guild regardless. And besides, she's been getting bored with the whole 'traversing the lands aimlessly without purpose' thing. She could use some action, although admittedly she didn't think of doing something like this. But how bad can it really be?

Snorting, Titanica's temper began to slowly settle, and at last she came at "relative" peace with the terms.

"Fine." she bluntly answers Bart as she begins to slowly stroll into the guild hall, "But once I pay up, I'll take my leave."

But before she can enter, the guild leader asked for her name. The titan stopped before turning her head to him again.

"Titanica."

The Next Day

The sounds of activity below began to stir the lumbering titan as her plates began fluctuating rapidly in the cool summer air. She had a relatively good night's sleep, but she had to struggle slightly to remember where and why she was. After all, she was not sleeping in the middle of the ocean off Boreal Port anymore. At least there isn't any annoying sunlight penetrating the window that was just a foot away from her face. One massive yawn later and the bed-headed Titanica proceeded down to the main area to find everyone else congregating for the next day. Haley, the harpy she saved yesterday, began to hum through the hall as she recollected about last night.

The next thing she realizes is that two new people happened to stop by the guild, with Bart apologizing towards them for their current appearance. The electrifying feeling of fire and ice began to rapture through her veins as she senses their presence. One of them was definitely a dragon, the latter one in particular, while the former had an underlaying demonic presence. An interesting duo if she says so herself. Perhaps that one person who introduced himself yesterday may get a kick out of the dragon lady. Either way, it's now time that she picks a mission on the guild board on her quest to start on her payment for the damages and to ultimately get out of here. But the question is...

Which one should she take first?

Vară Riemsianne/Nagare

@PaulHaynek

The two girls, having run into each other on their way to the guild hall, stand in silence as they take in the damaged scenery of their new place of operations. Before coming here, the two discussed briefly what life would be like here and what jobs would entail for them. Seeing the guild master stepping out of a gaping hole in the wall wasn't their first guess to say the least...

"Uhhh, welcome to The Guild! We are a guild that accomplishes requests for people for a reward. Usually. Welcome again, ladies!" He told Vara and Nagare. "Err, don't mind the gaping hole in our building. It's a... It's a long story."
Bart

"Um...Hello there. It's nice to meet you again Mr. Blue-eyed Savior." Vară's face wore a blank and innocent expression while speaking. "Uh, so what's with the giant hole in the hall? Was this someone's idea of renovating?"

The dragon girl, more in tune with her surrounds, is able to pick up on the faint scent of blood and iron in the vicinity. There was no mistaking it - there was a skirmish fought here...

"Good Morning, Mr. Baker. We're not much bother by the hole in the wall." Said Nagare as she turned to the fire demoness for a moment. "Well, at least I'm not! Heehee." The ice dragon chuckled a bit in order to lighten the mood. She then listened as the guild master continued.

"So! Can I help you ladies? Do you have a request for us to do for you?"
Bart

Nagare held a finger to her mouth to ponder for a moment. "Excuse me, but is it alright if we asked what may have happened here? I can sort of tell they may have been a battle here. If need be I can assist with helping the injured or repairing damages."

"Welcome to The Guild! Please do not mind our current appearance. This is all but a result of very unfortunate circumstances."
Bart

The girls turned to see another person who has appeared at the guild. It was possible that this person was here to join as well, but they weren't sure. She gave off the feel of something supernatural and otherworldly. Nagare politely bowed to the woman where as Vară simply ignored her.

Vară let out a sigh at the dragon's words. She had come here to make money and gain fame, not to do household chores. At least, in her mind.

"Yeah..helping out moving all of this debris sounds like a swell ide-" Vară cut her sentence short after noticing the guild bulletin board from the giant hole. Her eyes began to sparkle with joy and excitement. Finally, she thought, an actual opportunity to get profit! No more surviving on scraps and sleeping on the ground with nothing but creepy bugs to keep her warm. That was it, she couldn't wait anymore. It was time for the heir to the Riemsianne house to forge her path!.

"Sir Blue-eyed Savior, I believe the best and fastest way to fix the hall is to earn more revenue. I'll due my part of course! Matter of fact, you can leave the most expensive jobs to me!~" Vară mused as she made her way past Bart and through the hole.

Nagare turned to her fellow newbie with an exasperated look on her face before turning back to Bart.

"Please excuse her rude and abrupt behavior. I've only just me her, but she appears to act like that towards everyone she meets..."

@Lmpkio

as Vară made her way to the bulletin board, she noticed that there was a rather tall and built woman looking at it as well. She also noticed that the woman what appeared to be distinct reptilian features, most notably her impressive tail. A lizardman, another dragon perhaps? Truthfully, the fire apparition wasn't skilled enough in reading mana signatures to tell the difference.

She decided to greet her new guild mate, and establish her presence. "Hello there, my name is Vară Riemsianne, the next head of the Riemsianne house of fire demons. Perhaps you've heard of my clan, wouldn't surprise me.~ Worry not, for with my blazing abilities I shall bring glory and fame to the guild!" Vară continued to go on without any regard for basic social ques...

"By the way, what manner of being are you? I'm having a hard time telling. Are you a dragon, a lizardman, or a newt perhaps?

She then turned back to the board, trying to decide what job to take first.

Finally, after such a long journey... She had arrived! The great guild of adventure! Oh, what sort of adrenaline pumping endeavors awaited her from now on? Would she finally feel that thrill that makes one's blood rush through their body? The ecstasy of a task fulfilled, and the promise of mounds upon mounds of shimmering gold? Well... Vanessa had to admit to herself that the first two would be quite hard considering undeath, but she was sure that she'd figure something out along the way. Instead, she focused on the other things. Ah, this magnificent architecture! Such a powerful and imposing building, sending shivers down her ethereal spine!! A bastion for the brave, for those that venture deep into the unknown for the sake of others! The place for heroes to arise! Ahhh, just like in her Vajonian novels!

Still, there were things that needed to be done first, and one of such tasks was finding the man in charge. The one that was the cause of her arrival to this grand building. The origin of her new purpose. Yes, that one man! Balthazar the Broker! Thankfully, she was careful with the letter, stored inside her rather fancy coat. The ghastly woman stuck a hand in there and extracted the envelope, glancing at the nam-oh, wait. His name was Bartholomew Barker. Of course, of course! Bartholomew Barker, who had requested lord Blackbourne to join him in his adventuring guild! And she was here on his stead, as the late good sire was unable to attend because of... permanent life termination.

The ghost held the envelope between her fingers, the last reminder of who she once was, and from where she came from. However, this was a new beggining. Not as a human, but as a monster and, as such, she had to give a good impression no Bartholomew! Yes, sir! Vanessa produced her cane, made sure to be fully physical as to properly interact with others, and took a deep breath. And then, she avoided the grandiose main entrance to see what happened on the side... Woah, that's a big hole, alright. Vanessa's golden hues examined the wreckage until a man's voice reached to her.

"Uh, hello there too! Welcome to The Guild! Please do not mind our current appearance. This is all but a result of very unfortunate circumstances."
Bart

This was the moment... The phantom's lips slowly curled into a confident smirk, spending some moments in silence to add some tension to the scene. And then, Vanessa began with her introduction. "Alas! Such misfortune can only be met by a blessing of the same caliber, my good sire..." Her voice boomed out loud at the first word of her statement to catch the eyes and ears of her new crowd, then it lowered its volume for what followed while remaining clear. "... and for that, I have taken upon myself to become a servant of Fate itself!"

While the needlessly elaborate prose flowed out of Vanessa's mouth for the whole guild to admire, she slowly stepped into the guild and walked towards Bartholomew. The hand that held the letter went to rest on her chest while the other, holding the cane by the top half, swiped the air in front of her and remained extended on her side. "And thus, I have arrived in the stead of Lord Blackbourne of Varjo! Lady Vanessa Blackbourne..." Finally, she reached the man she was looking for, and offered an elegant bow: placing one foot behind the other, keeping her hands in place and then bend over her waist slightly while lowering herself with her knees. "... at your service, sir Barker."

It was worth mentioning that, while this happened, the Phantom was pondering if she should pick up Bart's hand and kiss the back of it like she read so many heros do in her stories...

As Titanica scans the board for a mission, she suddenly feels a wave of unknown heat slowly gravitate towards her. When she glances to her left, she sees a slender woman wearing a crimson dress and sporting features of a demon. No doubt this is the culprit of the demonic essence that she sensed at the front entrance, one who requested to be in this guild on her own terms rather than being forced into it. That feeling rattled down her spines as Titanica snorts bluntly and continues looking at the board, not bothering to say a word to the demon fellow. Of course, her avoidance for social congregation shatters as soon as the demon opens her mouth.

"Hello there, my name is Vară Riemsianne, the next head of the Riemsianne house of fire demons. Perhaps you've heard of my clan, wouldn't surprise me.~ Worry not, for with my blazing abilities I shall bring glory and fame to the guild!"
Vara

The disgusting voice of overwhelming vanity unleashes a face of utter confusion and abhorrence over Titanica as she forces herself to look down at her. It reminded her of a rival she faced all those years ago, a queen who said to be a ruler of three realms and one who wielded thunderous power to unleash utter devastation on an electrifying scale. And like this Vară person, she too had an ego but of such a magnitude that utterly annoys - or rather, infuriates - the living hell out of her. If it isn't obvious already, Titanica despises people with such boastful qualities. She has to pull herself back considerably to keep herself from smashing the demon's head in and keeps her cool. She simply acknowledges her statement with a sigh and continues to search for a job. That is, until Vară asks about who she is.

Well at least she stopped boasting about herself.

But like the figure who asked that very question just last night, Titanica bluntly replies:

"None of the above." while still looking at the board.

Suddenly, she manages to pick out a certain job at random. She carefully examines it as she reads it's description:

Merchants are a common sight in Boreal Port and while there's a good deal that are out only for money, which she absolutely hates, there were some that definitely sought to serve the freshest goods out to the public. The name seemed familiar to her as well. Perhaps he once arrived at the Port sometime in the past, but she wouldn't be able to recall what he looks like. Either way, this job should be a nice introduction for her to embark on.

She announces her decision to Barth for acknowledgement.

"I'm taking this job." she blurts out as she pokes a hole in the paper with her claw, claiming it as she begins to walk towards the exit.

She'd prefer to complete this mission on her own but, knowing her recent luck, she'd expect others to follow close behind.

Bast Ragoczy

After all the confusion from last night, things finally calmed down a bit the next morning. Despite the calmer atmosphere, the damage that the guild building suffered was still there, fruit of both the intruders and a certain monster girl who was now working to pay off her debt looking at the request board the moment Bast arrived. After taking a quick glance at her, analyzing her, he resumed walking. Regarding the captured intruder, Titanica, the new arrival, threw him far into the woods. Bast doubted he made it through the night but that wasn't his business anymore.

That morning, Bast woke up quite late. While on his way to the guild hall, he was greeted by an excited Haley, flying across the guild hall, while talking about how he was partially deaf yesterday and how she was glad when she found out that it wasn't for life.

"Good morning, Miss Haley. Quite the... eventful day we had, wasn't it?" Bast said with a chuckle.

Strangely enough, that day it wasn't Neil who came to show them the available requests, but Bartholomew. The strangeness of that fact was noted by Bartholomew himself as he talked.

Amongst the available requests, a good deal of them had something to do with Varjo. While in other occasions, Bast would have no problems attending them, Bartholomew himself asked him to 'stay low' regarding Varjan business and in the other hand, Bast himself wanted to avoid Leyanne and Joshua's attention, at least for now. Barbaric as they might be, they still weren't enemies Bast would like to face without proper preparation.

"Bartholomew, my good friend, I think It's for the best if we avoided anything related to Varjo for now. Especially in my case." Bast said with a serious expression, looking at him. Bast was certain that Bartholomew understood the circumstances behind Bast's choice very well as he pointed towards the 'Just Business' request on the board.

"Talking about yesterday... Did Eilidh wake up yet? Sadly, I wasn't of much help to her yesterday." Bast said with a smile. But before he could say anything more, more new arrivals appeared through the big gaping hole. A fire demoness, a female ice dragon and a female phantom.

"So many new faces! Although I'm starting to feel a bit outnumbered, right Bartholomew? Not that it's a bad thing though." Bast said, looking to Bart, laughing, referring to the fact that the new arrivals were all women.

"Bartholomew is a wonderful host and most of us don't bite. Most of us." He said again towards the new arrivals with a laugh and a welcoming smile. The demoness seemed to be already fitting in quite well, instantly going towards Titanica to talk with her.

Freyr

Freyr was honestly happy when he saw the monster woman who was responsible for... a good part of the damage suffered by the guild building, throw the captured intruder to the woods. The strength he threw him and where he flew made it obvious for Freyr that it would be improbable for him to survive the night. Haley on the other hand was temporarily deaf, unable to hear anything that Freyr said or tried to say to her. Instead of insisting, he simply looked at her with a concerned expression.

The next day, things were noticeably calmer. The big hole on the wall was still there, but the one responsible for it was there too. She had accepted to work to pay for the damages. Arriving on the hall, he met Titanica, the very one who was responsible for the damages, Bast, Bartholomew and the others. Neil was strangely absent, a fact that Bartholomew himself said when announcing the new requests. As Freyr walked towards the board, a cheerful and happy voice called his attention. It was Haley, flying through the hall, happily talking about how she wasn't deaf anymore.

"Good morning." Freyr said to Titanica and Bast as he passed by them, walking towards the board and taking a look at the requests before telling Bartholomew that he would choose the one entitled 'One Man's Trash'.

"I'm glad that you are better. I'm sorry for yesterday. I couldn't do anything to help you since I was unconscious for a while..." Freyr said to her, looking down.

[color=8dc73f]"Well, the important thing is that you're ok now, isn't it?" Freyr asked, with a warm smile towards her.

"Are you going to stay here to rest a bit or are you going out on a mission too?" Freyr asked, waiting for Haley's answer.

Before she could answer him though, some new arrivals appeared through the hole on the wall. A phantom girl, a fire demoness and a female ice dragon. Bast was quick to talk to them just after Bartholomew. Despite the man's politeness, his sharp tongue still made Freyr a bit cautious around him. Even though he proved to be quite helpful taking care of Talia's wounds.

"Welcome to the guild. Just like Bast said, any question you might have you can ask either Bart himself or Neil." Freyr said, looking to the new girls with a short bow. It didn't look like they would have much trouble adapting themselves, seeing as the fire demoness was already talking with Titanica and the phantom girl, with Bart. Looking at the phantom girl as she kneeled down in front of Bart, Freyr couldn't help but to think that she was similar to Bast in the way she talked and acted... Maybe it was worth keeping an eye on her.

Sleeping like a log once again, Magnus did his usual routine in the mornings of trying to brush his massive mane of silver hair, only to give up after having to wrench the stuck brush out of the thick nightmarish locks. ...Maybe he should get a haircut, but scissors scared him. Perhaps he could ask someone to just cut it off with a knife, but that would look odd. Sighing, he felt at a loss as he went downstairs, his usually curly hair as curly as usual. Clapping his hands against his cheeks as he descended the stairs, Magnus fully woke himself and smiled. Today was the day that Kyle would finally fly!

Hurriedly jogging down the stairs, he bade a good morning to everyone he saw, eagerly heading to the cabinet where he had stored the flowers and feathers for the quest that he'd had on his list for quite some time. The Sky is The Limit...a fitting title for what he hoped would be the birth of humans being able to fly. Beaming to himself, he excitedly wondered about all the possibilities that it possessed...if they had a postal service like that, then he'd be able to send letters to his Mother and Father back home, as well as his sisters, cousins, aunts, nieces, twice removed grand nieces that existed somehow...and that Gazer that used to pick on him as a kid. Shaking his head before he lost focus, he went to go find Talia, hoping that she was feeling better. After all, she had been shot just the other day. Even if yesterday was scary...he did get to meet an amazing woman that shot laser beams from her mouth.

Peeking his head over Bart's shoulder as he talked to the newcomers, Magnus read the mood a bit and departed soon after, feeling like greetings could wait for later that night. A fireside gathering tended to be how he met most people new to the guild on a personal level anyways, and they seemed...fine enough. Smiling, he gently ran a hand on the cobbled stone and wood of the walls as he ascended the stairs. There used to be so few of them, and now this place was even more lively than it ever had been. Not even brigand attacks were able to break their spirit!

Seeing that no jobs would take him in the direction of Mahigan, Magnus had resolved to keep his initial promise first, since he didn't know how fresh the flowers needed to be. Gently knocking on Talia's door, he wondered if she was up yet. "Talia? A-Are you up? We don't have to travel today if your shoulder still hurts...O-Or I can carry you there."

Awakening to a dull, throbbing pain in her arm, Nephele gingerly touched where she had been stabbed. The wound had thankfully healed a bit, but it was still quite tender to the touch, causing the dragoness to wince slightly. It was then that she noticed Niel standing there. Her ears perked up at his words, and she sat up straight in order to answer him properly. She felt guilty now, having rummaged without permission, but his words made her realize it wasn't only about the invasion of privacy. Something had always felt off about Neil...and now, it made at least the tiniest bit of sense. Closing her eyes, she thought on how to answer him.

"...I don't know who the two on this tunic are. However, I have a fair guess. The strange magical tools you've been seen to have, the odd music sung by no bards, and the garments that are foreign to all lands that I've read about." taking a deep breath, she leaned against the headboard of her bed, smiling at Neil. "So that's it, then, I'm guessing. That you come not from a foreign country or hamlet, but from a realm entirely different. I read a book about this once...of a hero that comes from another world to prevent a great calamity. Tell me Neil, how did you get here?"

Now standing up before Neil, she offered a kind smile to him. "...I'd be happy to be your confidant. I can't imagine this would be easy to discuss with anyone. So...tell me all that you wish. I won't be going anywhere too far today while I recover."

Yang Bethlehem

Yang nodded and yawned, exhaustion catching up to her. With that she too agreed that she needed the rest. After the entire ordeal, she needed to sort her head out.

"Alright, good night then." She waved and head towards her room, not even bothering to change and went straight to bed.

After the night, and the morning came. She automatically woke up, took a bath and cleanse herself. Once then, she sat in the room to meditate for a long time. When she did finished the session, she slowly moved to remove the kinks in her body from sitting in one position too long.

With that, her mind a good clearer and calmer. She went down to see what the new day brought.

"Good morning to all of you." She bowed her head before looking around for Bart. Yang noted that Neil wasn't around, though she suppose he had other task to attend.

Yang strolled and reported her actions to Bart, with a deep bow and remorsefully said. "Forgive me, guildmaster Bart. I failed in my quest, it was an utter disaster."

She reported everything that happen, from the old woman, then the scuffle with the guards at the town when they're searching for clues, all the way to the death of the old woman.

"I have no excuses for my failures, I'll accept all responsibility and punishment for it." She then kneel on all fours deeply with her head on the floor as she awaited the decision of Bart.

She closed her eyes bitterly, perhaps what made it worst was that she felt that she failed the old woman.

Ditzy Stoneclub

Ditzy looked a bit disappointed when the large woman didn't respond to his request but her giving him a name made him smile again.

Once that was done, Ditzy went to sleep and rested peacefully. Once the morning came, he woke up, washed his body and face slowly, before coming down.

He noted the weather seemed a little dreary than normal, but he suppose that meant it won't be too hot like normal days.

I can't play in the rain though, Papa said to be careful about that. He thought to himself before looking around on what to do.

His eyes caught the quest and trash, Ditzy hummed thoughtfully as he wondered why would it be called one's man trash when the request had hardly anything to do with trash. Not to mention it was two people as well, so it should be two man trash!

Maybe its the man trash instead? That thought came across him before he nodded firmly to that, that makes more sense. Still doesn't explain the collecting part though.

Collecting things seems easy, Ditzy hoped he can do that one well.

Just as he was about to volunteer for it, a new voice made itself known through the wall. Ditzy turned to it and his enthusiasm grew as more people appeared.

@AzureKnight Vara & Nagare

He exited the building and saw all three new arrivals. With a happy innocent smile, he extended a hand first to red-headed woman first before noticing the light-blue hair lady, then extended the other hand. Leading his arm crossing over each other.

This didn't dampened his enthusiasm at all as he looked at them.

"Hello! I'm Ditzy Stoneclub, want to be friends?" He asked them sincerely as his curiosity burst with new people."So which village did you come from?"

@Lacroix Vanessa

Ditzy tilted his head as he heard the ghost looking lady introduced herself, and he slowly processed the information before he greeted the new arrival.

"Nice to meet you, Lady! I'm Ditzy!" Ditzy liked the ghost lady, she didn't seemed bad and was so lively compared to some of the ghost lady he met.

@PaulHaynek Bart

After all the introductions with others was done, Ditzy turned to show Bart the job he's taking.

"Ditzy thinks he can handle this!" Ditzy showed the quest he's taking.

One man's trash

"Oh, can Ditzy go play at Valoran forest after this? There's new goblin friends there!" He asked Bart eagerly like a child asking his parents permission. "I'll come back for dinner, pinky swear!"

Eilidh made her way (carefully) down the stairs, was surprised to see that there were yet more new arrivals. A fire demon, an ice dragon, and a ghost! What's more, the ghost claimed to have some link to Varjo, yet..was here? On the other hand, this was a blessing. Varjo likely weren't too happy with the guild and it's rebellion-leaning members at present. Something to make those barbarians happy would certainly keep the peace. Even so, she wanted to know more about this ghost, and whether or not she could be trusted, so she decided to introduce herself.

Vanessa would notice that she was being approached by a nine foot call chestnut-haired Centaur woman whose abdominal muscles, biceps and breasts all seemed to be competing with each other for the title of 'largest, most eyecatching and least covered-up part of her upper body'. The most noticeable aspect of the Centaur by far, though, was the bottom half. It was a horse, and quite a large horse at that. Eilidh had to stoop down just to offer Vanessa a handshake.

"Greetings. My name is Eilidh Chiron. Welcome to the Guild."

"...I don't know who the two on this tunic are. However, I have a fair guess. The strange magical tools you've been seen to have, the odd music sung by no bards, and the garments that are foreign to all lands that I've read about. So that's it, then, I'm guessing. That you come not from a foreign country or hamlet, but from a realm entirely different. I read a book about this once...of a hero that comes from another world to prevent a great calamity. Tell me Neil, how did you get here?"
Nephele Francine Megalos III

"Heh..." Neil snickered. "Hehehe... Hahahahahahaha!" He laughed heartily. You get the feeling you were just duped. Fortunately, that did not seem to be the case. "So you have stuff like that here, too? Books about otherworldly heroes, I mean."

"Sorry to disappoint you though, Neph, but I'm no hero. I don't have any special ability or cool power to help people, much less prevent a great calamity." Neil continued. "I don't even have the basic qualities of a hero. Like being brave and selfless and stuff."

"As for your question..." Neil sighed. "I... I really don't have any idea." He began. "Just... it was just another summer day, you know? School ended a week ago and I was in the middle of enjoying the Spring break. Hung out with friends that day. Pizza for lunch then some Mexican stuff for dinner." His eyes were closed and a smile on his face. "After all that, I was going to be in for some Counter Strike. Gonna play til' midnight."

"But... I fell asleep on the bus home. Err, a bus is some... a kind of vehicle by the way." Neil continued. "Next thing I knew, I was in this... beautiful meadow in a hill." He chuckled. "First I thought I was in some... cool dream or something." But then his face soured. "But it was no dream. I wasn't waking up. The realization began sinking in... Jeez, it's like... it's like being trapped and-and... like drowning. I think I was having a panic attack or a mental breakdown. Maybe both."

"But survival instincts kicked in before I lost it completely. I surveyed the situation I was in." Neil sighed again. "Soon, I figured out where I was. Got lucky. Some gambles paid off. Then, I've gotten myself some local clothes and a case to put my stuff in. Then... well, all this."

"...I'd be happy to be your confidant. I can't imagine this would be easy to discuss with anyone. So...tell me all that you wish. I won't be going anywhere too far today while I recover."
Nephele Francine Megalos III

"Thanks for the offer, Neph but I'd rather you be something else." Neil replied. "A helper to be more specific."

"I was sent here somehow. There's gotta be a way for me to get back." Neil declared. "If you can and have time, Neph, can you do a little snooping around regarding my situation? You know, magical interdimensional stuff." He requested. "Bast and Rebecca look like they know a thing or two about magic. I'm going to talk to them about this. Maybe the others too."

"Well then, I guess that's enough talking for now since we've got a plan now. Thanks again, Neph." Neil said. "While I prefer for this to be a secret, you can blab it out to anyone as much as you'd like. I have a feeling we're gonna need every help we can get with this."

"Right now, I'm going to go with Talia and Magnus to see this flying machine. Back where I come from, we've got all sorts of these things." Neil then asked. "What about you, Neph? You said you're going to recover so you'll stay here?"

~@The Irish Tree (MAG)~

"Talia? A-Are you up? We don't have to travel today if your shoulder still hurts...O-Or I can carry you there."
Magnus Eissenhoeff

The door opened to reveal Talia the Cyclops, looking worse for wear though. Her eyes were droopy and she looked like she could barely stand up. "Hey Magnus." Talia greeted you with a smile. "I'm up but I don't think I can travel today. Looks like I've come down with a fever or something."

"You should go ahead and take the flowers, Magnus. Kyle's waited long enough." Talia said. "Maybe invite some people to see Kyle's invention come to fruition? I bet it's going to be quite the spectacle." The Cyclops suggested with a smile. "Just tell me all about it when you get back, alright? I wanna know every single detail." She requested. "I wish there's some way to capture it all. Like a painting or something."

"I wish that Arletta girl stayed around for this." Talia added. "Would've blown her head off her body. Hehehe."

"Well, the important thing is that you're ok now, isn't it? Are you going to stay here to rest a bit or are you going out on a mission too?"
Freyr

"Going out, probably." Haley answered. "Time to stretch my wings. don't you think?"

"I have no excuses for my failures, I'll accept all responsibility and punishment for it."
Yang Bethlehem

"My, oh my. Was it really that bad?" Bart could only sigh at Yang's report. "Well, we can't avoid those kind of days, Yang. We just have to accept what happened and hopefully avoid them in the future."

"But if you really want to make it up for it, you'd do your extra-best in your next request." He told you. "Do an extraordinarily good job that the client might be so impressed that he's pay more. You know what I mean?"

"Sir Blue-eyed Savior, I believe the best and fastest way to fix the hall is to earn more revenue. I'll due my part of course! Matter of fact, you can leave the most expensive jobs to me!~"
Vară Riemsianne

"Excuse me, but is it alright if we asked what may have happened here? I can sort of tell they may have been a battle here. If need be I can assist with helping the injured or repairing damages."
Nagare

"Hey, I know you two. I invited you guys to the guild." Bart remembered. "You guys are a little late... Well, really late to the party but better late than never, right?"

"To answer your question, Nagare." The guild master addressed Nagare. "Long story short, some hitmen came last night targeting me. You see, while I was shopping for supplies in Ambran with a friend, said friend found out we were being scammed. Me and my friend then tussled with the scammers but ultimately we got away. I'm guessing the hitmen was an attempt at payback."

"Welcome to The Guild. And yeah, that's the name of the guild. At least for now." Bart continued. "You guys can start doing requests now or just take it easy for now. Although, I think Vara already has decided."

"And thus, I have arrived in the stead of Lord Blackbourne of Varjo! Lady Vanessa Blackbourne... at your service, sir Barker."
Vanessa Blackbourne

"Of Varjo?" Haley the Siren repeated Vanessa's words. "You invited a guy from Varjo?!"

"Hey, I can explain!" Bart quickly replied. "Blackbourne might be one of the Varjan Tribes but he's one of the good ones. As good as you'll ever be in Varjan lands anyway." He explained. "I offered him a chance to leave that kind of life behind along with his family. But..." He trailed off while looking at Vanessa.

"Oh, oh gods..." The Siren muttered as the realization sunk in. "M-Maybe it isn't what it looks like, right? Right, Phantom girl?"

"Vanessa." Bart began. "May I know as to how your family is doing?"

Titanica had left for her chosen quest so Bast needed to catch up to her in order to strike up a conversation.

The kaiju was already outside of the guild when Bast had caught up, stopping her. Being outside, any words in this conversation was going to be private.

Oh, goodness. It seems that quite a good deal of people were already part of this guild. How delightful! Such a mixed cast is sure to bring only the most exciting of adventures! As she straightened herself from her bow, more people began to come by, and the guild's building began to be filled with life! How gorgeous! It was clearly a good choice to have come to this place. And, with the flow of people began some new introductions.

"Welcome to the guild. Just like Bast said, any question you might have you can ask either Bart himself or Neil."
Freyr

"I shall keep that in mind, good sire. Hopefully, we'll be great friends and steadfast companions." The phantom smiled at the Viera as her golden hues scanned him. It was uncommon to see a monster man so, while her features remained with that confident and amicable look, the surprise was evident. Not only was it the first thing she had seen a non-human male, but said man was also pleasantly handsome. Her eyes focused on his for a couple of moments before another voice took her attention.

"Nice to meet you, Lady! I'm Ditzy!"
Ditzy

This short greeting was met with a contained bow in the shape of a nod, Vanessa keeping her hand on her chest. Her eyes lingered on the muscular male for a small while as she attempted to figure out what he was. Thinking about it, two monster males? That was certainly a rare sight. It'd be unbecoming from her to ask such a simple question after introducing herself as a member of the noblity, after all! However, fortune smiled upon her as someone else came to greet her arrival: a centaur woman. Quite a sizeable individual one could say, both in the centaur and woman aspects. If these were less civilized times, this woman would be praised as a goddess of hunt or something akin to that.

"Greetings. My name is Eilidh Chiron. Welcome to the Guild."
Eilidh

Oh, how polite of her, to kneel down for a handshake! Under that amazon exterior was someone of class? Vanessa had to be honest with herself and admit she was expecting a less coherent sentence and perhaps some smacks on her collarbone to show her superiority. To such a greeting she could only reply in kind and, figuring that now was the correct time to do so, the phantom held the centaur's hand firmly and turned it so that the back was facing upwards. Then, she leaned forward and pressed her lips on her own thumb, which had been carefully placed as to not accidentaly lay a kiss on the woman's skin. "My many thanks for this warm reception, young miss..." However, there was something else that needed to be adressed.

"M-Maybe it isn't what it looks like, right? Right, Phantom girl?"
Haley

"Vanessa. May I know as to how your family is doing?"
Bart

And so, the situation had been adressed. She took a step back from the centaur to adress the siren and Bartholomew. Her gaze was cast downwards to the floor for a few moments as she worded the sentence in her mind. Her eyelids closed and the phantom sighed. What they would be thinking was plain in sight now, so she decided answered that. "... That is correct, sire. As of this moment, you are speaking to the last of the Blackbournes. The harbringers of our demise were a band of brigands, and only I was blessed with a second chance in the path of life. However!" The phantom shouted all of a sudden, dexterously twirling her cane on her hand before tapping it against the guild's floor, as if to signify a literal period on what she said. A hand went to her hip and the smile returned, perhaps brighter than before. Her tone shifted back to the one she used when announcing her entrance. "T'is not the yesterday what matters, but the today and the tomorrow! I've come here to take upon your invitation to my late father Arthur, sire Barker, and aid you in your noble endeavors! As of this moment I, Vanessa Blackbourne, declare myself a member of this glorious guild!" Perhaps it was an overdramatic gesture, but the phantom clearly wanted to avoid her own story bringing down the atmosphere.

Bast Ragoczy

Bast was silently watching as the new arrivals quickly began to present themselves. The ever so curious other members of the guild were eager to know more about them. Amongst the new arrivals, one in particular called his attention. Her name was Vanessa Blackbourne. Even though she mentioned Varjo upon first presenting herself, it was obvious to Bast that she was a proper lady. Especially how she greeted Bartholomew. Polite, graceful, dominating perfectly the social etiquette that every noblewoman was expected to know and especially sharp and clever while doing so. Charming and beautiful, but also incredibly dangerous, Bast knew well the type of woman who knew that words could be sharper than any sword. It's safe to assume that he was pleasantly surprised with the thought that the new arrival could be rather similar to him.

In the corner of his eye though, he found the one he was searching for, Eilidh, getting down the stairs to greet Lady Vanessa. Bast couldn't hide his smirk when he saw how perfectly Eilidh greeted Lady Vanessa. Her surprised expression indicated that she was expecting something a bit... different... from Eilidh.

"Lady Vanessa! I'm delighted to meet such a refined noblewoman! Albeit my time right now is limited, I thought I could at least stop to introduce myself properly. It would be rather rude of my part to not do so. I'm Bast. Bast Ragoczy." Bast said, walking towards Vanessa after she stepped away from Eilidh and finished talking with Bartholomew and Harley, making a flourished bow in a refined greeting.

"Since I came here to introduce myself, I could as well invite you to have a nice tea or maybe drink a good wine and talk for a while on our free time. I somehow feel that we might have somewhat similar ways of seeing the world." Bast said, tapping his cane as he looked to the woman, carefully analyzing her reactions almost if he was studying her with a mysterious, mischievous smile.

"Now... If you will excuse me, my companion is already waiting for me outside the guild and I'm afraid that if I do not go to invite a certain centauress to go with us, she might as well run away from me. Once again, pardon me for having to leave like this." Bast said, with a polite bow and tipping his top hat before walking towards Eilidh.

"You are especially charming today, my dear Eilidh! I am deeply grateful for letting me have such a wonderful sight this morning!" Bast said with a mischievous smile, provoking Eilidh due to her clothes.

"I'm deeply sorry to have distanced myself from you these last days... I had some personal matters to attend to and after I returned, I'm afraid that I couldn't protect you or be of much use when the intruders came..." Bast said, looking to Eilidh.

"Would you accept accompanying me to this request? I would greatly appreciate your company." Bast said, extending his hand towards her with a warm smile.

@PaulHaynek @Lmpkio @Silver Carrot @Lacroix

Freyr

Freyr smiled when he heard Haley saying she would leave on a request. He was glad to see that she was ok, especially after what happened yesterday. It didn't matter how much he thought about that but he could never see the cheerful Haley fighting against anyone.

"I'm glad to see that nothing serious happened with you yesterday." Freyr replied with a smile.

"I... It's better to me to let you go then. I don't want to take much of your time." Freyr said, with a small bow before walking away. He was still rather uncomfortable near Haley and he didn't know how to react to her words or how to face her.

The feelings he had for her, although they were slowly fading, he still didn't know how to face her. On his mind, it was foolish and immature of him to let his feelings take control of him like that. He became simply infatuated with the siren, not even realizing that it could be just because she was a siren and those feelings were probably not even true feelings, just his reaction to her charm as a siren.

As he walked away, Freyr couldn't help but to keep an eye on Lady Vanessa. Even though she was quite polite and had a rather pleasant smile when replying to him and seemed to be a kind and polite woman, he couldn't overlook the fact that she came from Varjo, and Freyr knew very well how people from Varjo were... To Freyr, it was worth keeping an eye on her. He knew it was too soon to say anything about Lady Vanessa, but being cautious was always good. But the second Bart replied to Haley's words after Vanessa said she was from Varjo, Freyr couldn't help but to feel a bit guilty for being so wary just because she was from Varjo. Before going for his mission, he should at least apologize to her. Freyr was sure that she had noticed how... cold his eyes were when he looked at her.

"I-I'm sorry for your family, Lady Vanessa." Bast said, looking to the phantom.

"I do admire your strength though... It takes a lot of courage and strength to keep going forward after losing everything... I, more than anyone else, know this feeling." Freyr said, with a comforting smile. He wasn't that good in expressing his own thoughts and feelings but he hoped that he didn't leave a bad impression on Lady Vanessa, especially after looking at her with penetrating eyes when he knew she was from Varjo.

Vară Riemsianne/Nagare

Nagare responded to the greetings of each guild member with a smile and bow. She noticed especially the Goblin boy who extended a hand to both her and Vară in a rather adorable fashion

"Hello! I'm Ditzy Stoneclub, want to be friends?" He asked them sincerely as his curiosity burst with new people."So which village did you come from?"
Ditzy

"Oh..um...hello, nice to meet you as well Mr. Stoneclub! My name is Nagare, although I’m afraid I lack a surname. I hope we get along! I hail from a small mountain village far to the east.” Replied the ice dragon with a friendly shake of her palm.

The fire demoness looked at Ditzy with perplexed eyes, she didn’t run into goblins very often. Ditzy, what a weird name, she thought. Well, he seemed to be a decent young goblin, so she returned his hand gesture with a gentle handshake.

“Hello, I am known as Vară Riemsianne, heiress to the Riemsianne clan of fire demons. Bear witness and be amazed at my dazzling prowess Mr. Goblin!” She proclaimed. She began to manifest vividly colored sparks around her sleeves as an attempt to make herself look more radiant.

Vara noticed all of the other interesting characters in the guild, she planned to show them all what it meant to be the next fire clan heiress. Although, Bart’s explanation of what happened last night left her a little shaken.

"To answer your question, Nagare. Long story short, some hitmen came last night targeting me. You see, while I was shopping for supplies in Ambran with a friend, said friend found out we were being scammed. Me and my friend then tussled with the scammers but ultimately we got away. I'm guessing the hitmen was an attempt at payback."
Bart

I..I see...Well, it’s unfortunate that I couldn’t have arrived sooner then. I would’ve sent those bandits packing in a heap of smoldering cinders!~” She said as confidently as she could.

“Goodness, I’m glad that everyone’s alright. You all must be really strong!” Happily replied the dragon girl.

After looking at the job board, the demoness decided that she would take the quest labeled “Just Business”. Saving a noble, what better step is there to gain fame and wealth!? She also noticed that the reptilian woman poked a hole in the sheet indicating that she would also be going on this quest. She thought she would lecture her as to how to better address a noble, though it was mainly just because she was still curious about her. She also noticed that a gentlemanly fellow seemed to also have interest in the same quest. Though she wouldn’t admit it, have more people along for the ride made her feel safer.

“Mr. Blue eyed Savior, I’ll be taking this quest if you don’t mind. Consider the merchant as good as saved!”

Nagare looked to the board and noticed that Ditzy and the man with leporine features took the quest labeled “One Man’s Trash”. She decided to also take the quest, having her spirits lifted by the goblin’s sincerity. She also wanted to learn more about the other man, not being very familiar with his kind.

“Excuse me, I believe I’d like to take this quest. If you don’t mind of course.”

Magnus looked alarmed as he heard Talia speak, his heart sinking a bit as he rested his brow against the door. "...But...its not just Kyle's dream to see that fly." he said, turning to look at her. "You helped him a ton with making it, right? I-Its only right that you're there to see its maiden voyage."

Clearly not wanting to just...abandon Talia here, and get to see her work with Kyle while she couldn't, Magnus had an idea, eyes going wide. "...Talia, do you think...we could have Kyle fly here? That way you could see it! And-And then everybody can see that you two are geniuses!" he said, smiling a bit. "...That'd work...right?" he said, sounding desperate to just get...something working for Talia. It wasn't fair...she was a hero, saving Bart like she did, so why did she have to suffer by missing out on seeing Kyle fly?

Taking a deep breath, Magnus looked down at Talia, looking liable to cry. "E-Even if he can't make it to here in it, I'll make sure he promises to take you for a ride in it if he can. When you're better, you'll get to fly higher than any cyclops ever has before. So...just, rest. Alright?" Magnus said, gently putting his large hand atop Talia's head, and gently patting her hair. "...I won't blink while he flies. I'll tell you all about it if he can't fly here, but...just watch out the window. You just might see Kyle. O-Okay?" he said, doing his best to smile at her, to let her know that he'd do exactly as she asked, and that this would all work out. Somehow, it would. Waiting for Neil at the front of the guild, Magnus wondered if anyone would want to come see the flying machine with them, and cleared his throat.

"E-Excuse me, but um...a-anyone want to come with me and Neil to see a Flying Machine?" he said, sounding more than a little shy around all the new people. ...It was awkward now, since he'd completely missed his chance to introduce himself, not having foreseen Talia becoming ill.

A slight tinge of pink overtook Nephele's cheeks as she realized her mistake, and hurriedly said: "O-Oh, no, I wasn't implying that I expected this to be the case, I was just...going off of an example," before listening intently to his explanation. A lot of it went over her head, like what a "Pizza" was, what "Mexican" implied, and what "Being in for some Counter Strike" meant, but she imagined those must all be foods from Neil's home. Counter Strike...sounded bitter, maybe even a little salty in terms of flavor. She was glad he explained what a bus was, at least. That word meant little, without the context of it being a vehicle. The pain of remembering his old life was obvious to her, and she felt...somewhat similar. At least, in terms of suddenly being placed somewhere alone, and left to fend for herself. Her mother had just...vanished one day, after all, leaving her a small village's un-thanked guardian dragon.

At his statement of wanting a helper, she couldn't help but nod. "You may count on me. I may not be a mage by trade, but reading books is a specialty of mine. I'll research at the guild's library while I recover today. And...erm...I'd rather not "blab" about this to everyone just yet. They may think I'm delirious from last night if you aren't there to also explain it. Good luck with the flying machine, Neil," she said, shuffling to the door. "My apologies, I'm going to need to borrow this tunic a while longer. My dress needs cleaning and drying." she added, before leaving to go do...a single piece of laundry, as well as research anything on magic that can pull items or people from other dimensions.

On the way out, she heard Magnus speak of some "Flying Machine." While this did pique her interests, her promise to Neil was more important at the moment, leading the dragoness to silently pass on the open invite, walking off to the library in her ridiculous outfit. Or rather, just a tunic, and a perpetual fog below her lower body. Though she was covered, being seen without something over her knees on made her uneasy.

Eilidh watched Vanessa with a bemused, eyebrow-raised expression. Did women greet other women in this manner in Varjo? How odd. To Eilidh, this was known as a greeting a gentleman gave a lady, but then again, on the plains and grasslands, among the Centaur tribes, a greeting was incoherent shouting and some smacks on their collarbone to show their superiority, so it's not as if she could judge other culture's greetings too harshly. Speaking of Vanessa's culture, she then started to go into more detail about who she was, and Eilidh listened. So she'd started human and had become a Ghost after being killed? Was...was that how Ghosts worked?

Bast then introduced himself to Vanessa, and made pleasant chatter, which Eilidh listened to intently as strong feelings of many different kinds welled within her. She'd deny to herself that she was jealous, but she'd be lying. They were very similar and clearly compatible. Bast even said as much. It just served to remind Eilidh how un-Ladylike she was, with her build, warrior ways, and traditional Centaur garb (There weren't many dressmakers who could create an XXL Lady's dress sturdy enough to survive a muscle-flexing, with enough chest girth to hide a medium-sized dog, and still have it look somewhat dignified).

It was therefore surprising when Bast bid Vanessa good day and approached her! Vanessa would able to observe the way that Eilidh was blushing and pausing the same way diplomats do when asked a difficult question. She would pause in this way no matter what Bast said. The signs were not 'easy to read'. The signs were fighting to see who could push themselves into everybody's face the most painfully.

"No, no!" Replied Eilidh hurriedly. "I wasn't much help when the intruders came either! When I returned to the Guildhouse, the battle was essentially over. But,...it's true we haven't been around each other these past few days. Of course I shall accompany you!"

Yang Bethlehem

@PaulHaynek Bart

"Understood, guild master Bart. I'll do my best." Yang raised her head and stood up as she sighed, it seems that Bart was kind enough to let her go off the hook for now.

Though it would seem that in between, she missed almost everyone introduction. She shrugged her shoulders at that and let it go for now, plenty of time to be acquainted with them later.

Her mood was still quite in the rut as she wondered if she should take a mission, that was until Magnus offered to accompany them to watch someone fly.

@The Irish Tree

It seems ridiculous and outlandish but she doubt she can get anything done in her mindset right now.

Ah well, better to watch something until I'm calm.

"Yeah, sure! Sounds fun!" She smiled, though a little forcefully as she tried to cheer herself up even as she walked next to Magnus and patted his shoulders lightly.

"So we're gonna toss that machine off a cliff?" Yang jested and stretched her neck to the side at that. "I sure don't mind being the first to do it!"

With that, Yang will be heading out with Magnus and Neil party.

Ditzy Stoneclub

"Oh..um...hello, nice to meet you as well Mr. Stoneclub! My name is Nagare, although I’m afraid I lack a surname. I hope we get along! I hail from a small mountain village far to the east.” Replied the ice dragon with a friendly shake of her palm.

"Nice to meet you, miss Nagare!" Ditzy widened his smile as he enthusiastically moved his hand but kept a light touch on her hand, not daring to use anymore strength. He also then tilted at Nagare lack of a surname. "Oh, how come you don't have a surname?"

"Oh, pretty!" Ditzy eyes seemed to sparkle along Vara demonstration of her power, looking a bit out of it as he was so engrossed in it that he blanked out for awhile before he asked with barely restrained glee. "Can I see more sparkles?!"

"Ah, Ditzy is not a goblin. Ditzy is a hob-goblin." He remembered and then pointed to the mismatched horns at the crown of his head, one was smaller and the other was a lot larger. "See, one is bigger than the other!"

"Oh." Ditzy nodded along as he listened to Vanessa story before he hummed in thought and then spread his arm apart.

"You can hug Ditzy if you want, Mama often do that when Ditzy is sad." Ditzy offered, not really understanding what happened but Ditzy can tell that the lady seemed a little sad at that. So he tried to offer what he can as help to Vanessa.

@13org Freyr

"Ah, Ditzy is on this quest too!" Ditzy grew excited as he approach Nagare. "But I hope we won't take too long to clean the trash, Ditzy wanna go and play later."

He also waved to Freyr eagerly as he didn't realized that he was also on the job as well. "Hello, mister rabbit! Ditzy didn't heard your name but he remembers your face! Let's do our best on this job!"

Bast Ragoczy

"Perfect! Maybe with this you can forgive me for leaving you alone?" Bast replied to Eilidh with a charming smile, studying her reaction. It was always amusing to see her blushing but this time her reactions were a bit... different from the usual. A bit more difficult to read. Bast wondered if it was because he spent some time away from her or maybe it had something to do about how he greeted Vanessa...

"Shall we go then?" Bast said, gently taking her hand.

"Miss Titanica was heading out for the same request we are going to take if I'm not mistaken. We should meet her right outside the guild. This request will also be a good opportunity for us to get to know her a bit better, since apparently she will be staying with us for a while... At lest until she pays for the hole in the building" Bast said, laughing.

After walking a bit, they finally met Titanica who was already outside walking.

"I believe you're Miss Titanica, right? I'm terribly sorry for the delay." Bast said with a discreet greeting.

"I'm Bast and this is Eilidh. I believe you were the one responsible for that hole on the guild's building, right? That was quite the powerful explosion!" Bast said, laughing amicably.

With her quest in hand, Titanica begins her trek onwards to the start of her part-time job alone. Yet as the titan barely passes through the busted door that she erected, two figures approach her from behind. She turns to look at the two persons, while breifly exhaling a light snort, seeing a human male with white fuzzy hair and the same large female centaur that she noticed yesterday during the skirmish. The human was the first to engage, apologizing for the delay and confirming that he heard her name from before.

"I am." she responds neutrally before asking back, "What is it?"

He introduces himself as Bast, as well as referring the centaur as Eilidh, and mentioned about the hole they just passed through. Titanica looks up to see the damage she did last night, briefly issuing a mental flash-back from the night before, watching as her blue breath burst through them with ease. The same whole that forced her to be in this very place, pathetically paying up for a weakling that she could easily ignore or burn away into ash. A flare of anger shook her form for a short moment before she restrained herself.

"Yes..." she remarked, going along with it, "Yes it was."

She then looks down at the two.

"Now what is it?" she asks with upmost emphasis, "Are you embarking on a quest as well?"

Vanessa Blackbourne

Bart and Haley both look at each other before the former nodded. "Well, we're happy to have you, Miss Vanessa. Welcome to the Guild."

Haley the Siren then shrugged. "Suit yourself, Vanessa. I hope you enjoy your stay here although considering recent events, it may not be as quiet as you'd think." She remarked. "Now I gotta run, I need to catch up with Freyr and the others." She then flew away through the hole in the building.

"There they go with the quests. Speaking of quests, will you be doing one right now?" Bart asked you. "You can pick one and just catch up with the others. You can also just stay here for the time being and relax, take a look around our headquarters. Although, the events of last night made things a bit messy around here. Gonna have to clean up and get that hole fixed too."

"It's really up to you, Vanessa."

The Long Road Home

"My apologies, I'm going to need to borrow this tunic a while longer. My dress needs cleaning and drying."
Nephele Francine Megalos III

"Oh, don't be silly and strut around with just a shirt. Here, you can take my pants too." Neil insisted. Now, you did not have to cover your lower body with just a cloud of fog.

"But thanks, Neph. Thank you." Neil said earnestly as he left the room in his adventurer garb.

------

Visiting the Guild's small library, you see that there were a couple of sections that could at least give insight to Neil's situation. There was the fiction area and there was only one novel there that told of someone crossing worlds: 'The Outsiders' which was about a group of warriors that come from another world but you will need to read further to know the exact details

On the nonfiction area, there were no books about any world-crossing although you did see a book titled 'Myths Debunked: Some Misconceptions About The World'. Perhaps you would see there something about crossing worlds and dimensions? The title, however, may imply an unfavorable truth. There was also 'Planes Of The Gods: A Guide To The Dimensions Of Known Deities'.

Which will you read up on first?

The Sky Is The Limit
~@The Irish Tree (MAG), @Restalaan (YNG)~

"What? Talia isn't coming?" Neil said after finding about that the Cyclops will not be joining in the culmination of Kyle's project. "You know what? You know what? I-I think I'm changing quests." Neil suddenly said. However, he looked distracted and had something in his mind. "You guys go on ahead. I'll... I need to see something!" He then rushed back to the guild.

------

Magnus and Yang reach the cliff where Kyle was working on his flying contraption. "Oh, hello again, sir!" Kyle noticed while he was looking out the cliff with a pair of binoculars. "Have you gotten the materials?"

Yes, the guild members had.

"Oh, you are kind-- thanks. Thank you for bringing me these materials. I'll be cooking up a batch of adhesive in no time." Kyle took the Morning Flowers and went to a cooking pot nearby. "Ah, pray tell, where did you find these flowers? It seems you found them really easily." The inventor asked. "Also, it looks like dear Talia isn't with you. Where is she? She might miss the machine's maiden voyage."

"Also, who is that girl with you, Magnus? I recall it was Miss Dupain who was accompanying you the last time we met."

Just Business
~@Lmpkio, @13org (BST), @Silver Carrot, @AzureKnight (VRA)~

The four guild members made their way towards George's last known location. There on a hillside, the guild group would find a small enclosed barricade made of wagon parts, crates, boxes and other wooden objects. "You! You four over there! What are you doing?!" A man called out from the barricade with a thick accent. The man was balding and wore a red formal top and dark red trousers. "Get over here! Come, come!" He yelled at the guild members. "Hurry! Before bad guys come back!"

Upon entering the barricade, the man was quick to speak to the guild members. "I do not know who you are but I need help. I am humble businessman George Costava but some people not like my humble business so they try to kill me." George explained before the clopping of hooves was heard. "Here they come! Get ready, you all!"

Several horses entered the vicinity with warriors on top of them. They appeared to be mercenaries of sort based from the quality of their equipment or maybe they were just well-off bandits. Their most equipped member was the first to disembark his horse. "There he is! Get him!" He pointed with his trident before charging. Four other warriors disembarked and joined him wielding varying kinds of weapons.

Some other warriors rode to the back of the barricade in an attempt to surround the position. This group was lead by a warrior with Eastern clothes with two blades on him. With him were four other warriors and they disembarked their horses to charge the barricade from behind.

Things have escalated quickly, haven't they?

One Man's Trash
~@Restalaan (DIT), @13org (FYR), @AzureKnight (NAG)~

The group had returned to the busy and bustling Ambran. Like all other days, the town was loud with lots of people even under the dark, cloudy sky.

The three of you passed by the residential areas and spotted a very peculiar and unusual scene. There were two people in formal, high-end clothes rummaging through... garbage? One was a man and the other, a woman. Both of them were old, both of their hairs were already white and both of them really did not have any business scraping through trash whilst looking like minor nobles.

"A veritable treasure trove!"

"That's a perfectly good boot!"

"Oh, just ignore us!" The old man told you when he noticed you.

"Yes, don't mind us! Pretend we're not here." The old woman added.

"Unless you are those guild fellas." The old man continued. "Uh, honey? How do we know if the guild people we requested have actually arrived?" He asked his apparent spouse as he resumed the rummaging.

"Don't worry, hon. We'll know them when we see them." Replied the old woman, not stopping the search through the waste.
