Ascension's Monster Tamers

Welcome to a fantasy roleplay heavily inspired by monster taming JRPG adventure games. Where a teen is tasked with saving people with their ability to command fantastical creatures of the world. An absolutely mad idea in this world of warriors and mages. Your character will be able to grow. They'll become more capable in combat over time but the monsters will be the main focus. Think of them as conduits of power. With three available to you at all times you can have powerful combinations for battling foes and attaining new stronger monsters to add to your team.
If you happen to have a good idea for a monster you can make one too.
The World
A world that is fairly constant in its various temperatures. The very air itself brimming with primal essence. It carries over day and night just like the norm of planet earth. However there are no other lands other than these lands. However as a young adventurer you will not know much about the world. Likely born from a simple nomadic family you are not a citizen of anywhere and thus must earn it.
It takes about 48 hours to get from Nero to Gaia on foot.

Each Territory is broken into elements. Darkness is Nero, Light is Vrondi, Fire is Fotia, Earth & Wind is Gaia, Water is Tearia.















































Appearance:
Age: 13 Inventory: Pendant from his mother that allows for the healing of wounds, the worse the wounds, the longer it takes to heal. Bag with simple supplies for travel. Magic focus staff to help him cast magic as he isn't quite strong enough to do it himself. heavy single edged dagger. A small spell book for beginner practicing mages. He only knows a couple spells so far, and is working on discovering the rest. abilities/ spells: simple fire manipulation, spellbook: double down- double a target's defense or attack but it halves the other trait. spellbook: faux wings- creates fake wings that makes ones body and things they touch much lighter. Useful for jumping higher and gliding from place to place....or riding a small dragon while flying. goal: Wants to go on an adventure to prove himself capable of studying under the Magoi at his young age. Food source: Carnivorous Size: Large dog (at current age) Natural abilities: Heightened and senses and awareness, speed, night sight, flight, barbed tail, spikes from the tail can be slung out at enemies, spikes regrow frequently, scaled areas off decent protection. Spikes are poisonous though not to itself. Its wing spines can be used to cut down foes. Can rattle its tail spikes as a warning. Magical abilities: transformation between its true dragon form, half dragon form, and descendant form. Her half dragon form is essentially her descendant form with her wings on her arms and her tail. Can learn elemental magic.
