From Beck’s perspective, Aava’s reaction to the Volkswagen was… troubling. Was there something wrong with her? Surely she couldn’t have been isolated from society in the interim since Evren last saw her, right? How could she have gotten all the way to Massachusetts if she didn’t know what a car was? She decided it was time to go back to Boston, at least for a few days; the boonies were getting a little weird.
When Aava seemed to be settled, Beck walked around the car to get behind the wheel. She got into the car and turned the engine over, the car coming to life with a low growl that caused a gentle rumble through the vehicle.
Her mind kept returning to the tears, and the power this girl seemed to possess. Beck reached behind the console to a cupholder and retrieved a plain thermos, unscrewed the lid, and handed the container to Aava; it was full of water.

The detective pulled into the lot of a brick municipal building on the north edge of town, and parked in front of a large concrete planter with nothing growing in it. Another female officer was waiting at the door and came to the car and escorted Hayato inside, bringing him down a hallway to a larger open room with cluttered desks and leading him to a holding cell built into the far wall. She put him in the cell and, through the purpose-built slot in the bars, uncuffed him. Wordlessly she left him be, leaving back down the hall. The detective lieutenant followed shortly, now holding a manila folder and an iPad, seeming to flip through images as she walked from one end of the room to the other to reach another door, which she disappeared behind. Minutes later the two cops from earlier lead Evren into the same large room. He’d clearly given up any kind of resistance, being easily pushed by the younger Holt, who uncuffed him and let him into the room Merit had gone into. Holt flashed a quick glare at Hayato before leaving as well with his partner Booth. The female officer returned with grey sweatpants and a grey sweatshirt, and handed them to Hayato through the bars.
An hour passed before the female officer returned and retrieved Evren from the room, leading him over to the cell where Hayato was waiting. With a slight nudge he stumbled into the cell, righting himself with a step and darting his eyes quickly to Hayato. He looked quite different; raven hair gone in favor of short brown locks, skin still fair but now lightly freckled. His face was no longer gaunt, now full and even a bit rosy, with a small birdlike nose. A completely different person, but to the keen senses of a werewolf, still the same smell and energy.
Evren said nothing as he kept his eyes locked on Hayato but took a small, cautious step away from him. His eyes were blown wide, though he didn’t look truly fearful; rather he seemed high-strung, a bit too alert for his own good. The female cop pulled Hayato out of the cell and lead him by the shoulder to the same room, closing the door behind him. The room was plain, with only a simple white folding table and two light wooden chairs on either side. Sunlight was streaming through the blinds on the window opposite the door. The detective was sitting behind the table, now with a small stack of folders but still skimming through something on the iPad. She had taken her campaign hat off and set it beside her on the table, revealing her curly bright orange hair that came just past her ears. She looked up from the tablet and locked it, giving Hayato a sly look as she met his gaze. ”I don’t think I ever properly introduced myself. I’m detective lieutenant Sheridan Merit, with the Massachusetts State Police. Sit down.”

Aava

@Kinjaav

Aava sat in the vehicle, looking around curiously. Her hands touched everything they could, the curtains, the seat, papers that were lying around. Aava's enchanced sense of smell picked up a lingering hint of blood in the air - someone had been hurt here.
The näkki was startled when the engine was turned on. She jumped, looking at Beck suspiciously, curling back into herself.
"Järvelle?" ('to the lake?') Aava asked hesitantly after sulking silently for quite a long time, speaking for the first time with only the two of them there.
The woman looked at Aava before picking up a weird object and opening its lid. Beck gave the cylinder to Aava, and after a beat of examining the object Aava slowly took it into her hands, peering inside.
The girl's face lit up as she could see the small reflection of water inside the dark cylinder. She tried to put her face inside like a dumb cat, only to realise that the hole was way too small for her face to fit in, let alone her nose. Next Aava put her eye against the hole, trying to see deeper inside. She gently shook the bottle, then tried to stick her tongue inside to reach the water inside. Only the very tip of her tongue hit the water, but it wasn't enough.
Disappointed, Aava retreated with a pout and watched the cylinder in her hands with a confused look. There was a faint, red circle around Aava's eye where the edge of the thermos had pressed.
Aava looked a the object for a while before sticking her fingers inside, her face lighting up as she finally got a good feel of the water inside. Pleased, and totally oblivious as to if Beck was observing her actions, Aava raised the thermos above her head and simply poured all of the water on her head. Now there was water everywhere - Aava's blanket was partly soaked, as was her hair and face - the water was dripping on the floor of the van, too. Aava seemed particularly pleased with herself then, satisfied with how the brief contact with water made her feel. Now the thermos was empty, and Aava simply put it aside, looking around for more water with an innocent look on her face.

Hayato Nijimura

Hayato was brought into the holding cell, For the time being he would be held until he was brought into be interrogated by these so called cops.Being placed right beside Evren was quite nice for the short time he was inside of the cell, Looking at said wall imagining he was inside the same cell shoving his thumbs into his eyes. His hands grabbing at the grey sweats he was wearing, "Watashi wa koko kara deru no o matsu koto ga dekimasen, watashi wa anata no ashi o hagashite, anata ga issho ni itaso no josei o zugaikotsu fakku suru yō ni anata o mi saseru tsumoridesu" (I can't wait to get out of here, i'm gonna tear off your legs and make you watch as i skull fuck that woman you were with) He spoke with a big shit eating grin on his face. Standing up and staring at him wanting so badly to kill him right there and then. But for now he would have to play nice and not kill him just yet.

Suddenly being brought into the interrogation room, Having his hands cuffed to the table waiting for the female cop to speak. "So what is first? Why i was in the forest attacking those two? Or why i was in my jocks?" He said laughing watching the cops surrounding around him. He had a smug aura to him and his mindset it would seem to the two cops that he was not going tell them much.

Beck kept an eye on Aava as she started driving to the hospital. She didn’t respond to her inquiry except for a neutral, dismissive grunt, a bit like a parent trying to ignore their kid. She paid attention to the road for a while but laughed lightly when Aava tried to put her face into the thermos. ”Thirsty?” she asked, fully aware of the futility of making conversation.
When Aava just poured the whole cup out over herself, soaking the blanket and the seat she was sitting on, Beck flinched slightly, glad she had stopped at a red light. She was about to scold the näkki in frustration, but held back when she saw the innocent expression on her face. Aava had no idea what was going on, and that was… scary, in a way that was hard for Beck to imagine. So she kept her composure and turned the air conditioning off.
Redhaven’s hospital was on the northeastern end of the town proper, closer to schools and residential areas than the more stark business district that had rolling hills and dense Appalachian woods on three sides. In such a small town the hospital looked huge and bustling, with a few cars in it’s lot and some people milling about near the doors, even an ambulance returning with dimmed lights.
Beck parked in the hospital lot near the ER entrance and immediately realized that Aava needed clothes. The quiet (albeit odd) drive had given her some time to think about this ridiculous situation, where she’d wound up volunteering to help a naked water demon get a concussion diagnosis. Then what? Take her back to Evren’s cabin? Beck turned off the ignition and got out of the car, opening the trunk and rummaging through an open duffel bag. The cabin was probably the only place for her.
She retrieved a pair of fluffy pajama pants, an oversized tee, and some old flip flops. The women weren’t the same size, but the pants at least had a drawstring tie. Beck shut the trunk and returned to Aava, opening the passenger door and getting a look at the situation. Well, with the water’s help at least most of the blood was off her face now. Drying her off seemed very much above Beck’s paygrade, so she didn’t even bother addressing it.
”Clothes. Clothing. Get dressed.” she said, hoping maybe one of those phrases would ring true. When it seemed the words hadn’t been understood, Beck ste the change of clothes in Aava’s lap and tried something else. One by one, she gestures to what she herself was wearing and then to Aava. ”Shirt. Pants. Shoes. You too, in that.”

Aava

@Kinjaav

Aava looked at the woman, dumbfounded, as she was presented with some more coarse linen. Beck was talking, too, making sounds with her mouth that Aava couldn't comprehend. Her understanding of language was too fractured for her to try and make sense of the language. It seemed nothing like Finnish - weird soft phones but still a lot of consonants. Lots of small words that made no sense.
The woman seemed mildly frustrated as she begun gesturing at her own clothes, trying to make Aava understand. The näkki tried her very best to cooperate, nodding along and taking the pants in her hands, trying to put them on like sleeves on her hands. It looked damn funny, probably, and kind of desperate too. It had been a long long time since Aava had been in a possession of any clothes at all, and those times she had long forgotten. Furthermore, the näkki was quite sure that even then she hadn't worn anything as ridiculous as "pants". Why would anyone wear such an uncomfortable cloth?
"Evren on ystävä. Öö... Evren... Friend. She takes care of my," Aava tried to explain as she was pulling the shirt over her head and struggling with fitting her wet head through the collar. Aava was quite proud of her progress, so she continued.
"Pants... These bastards," she proclaimed with the same tone of voice the wolf man had used when the police had been interrogating him. That was all Aava had heard, and he had sounded so angered at the words that they must've meant something negative. And pants... They really were something negative.

“Neither, actually.” Merit replied, reaching for a manila envelope. “I’d just like to know what the Yakuza are doing so far out from a city center.” She opened the envelope and pushed it towards Hayato. Within were several printed pictures of Yakuza mugshots and tattoos, each dated and with a location written underneath. Most were from Boston and the surrounding neighborhoods, taken within the last year but there weren’t any from within the last two months. She then opened the iPad, and on it was a picture of Josuke’s tattoos and she swiped to a picture of his face, barely cropping out the deep wounds on his neck.
“A werewolf gangster kills his partner in cold blood and assaults the witnesses on dashcam.” The detective announced nonchalantly, locking eyes with Hayato. “He’s on ice down at the morgue. When the coroner autopsies him in a few hours, that’s the story the press and the investigators will tell.”
She locked the iPad and gave Hayato an evil smile. “Or something else can happen.” The detective crossed her arms on the table. “You tell me exactly who you are and who you’re working for, and maybe you and your friend won’t end up with your headshots in my little collection here.”

Hayato Nijimura

Looking at the picture given to him grinding his teeth when he saw the picture of Josuke's body, "I don't snitch, So you can threaten my all you like i ain't gonna talk" He said with a more smug aura then before. Lending back on his chair knowing that nothing would happen since the Yazuka would believe him once he kills Evren and shows his innocents to his group. But it would seem he would be wrong, Tapping his fingers on the table with annoyed look on his face.

"I did not kill my brother, It was that freak in the cell i was with" He said referring to Evren, He knew what he saw and was willing to get Evren in jail or in Hayato's hands. Wanting nothing more but rip off Evren's head and the cops would turn their heads. Although he knew that would not be the case and he was not going to rat out the Yazuka. Because if he did then he would be big shit and killed or tortured, "I saw him and that women killing my friend" He spoke avoiding the question of why Yazuka were in this town.

She rolled her eyes at Hayato's adamant declaration that he "didn't snitch." "I didn't see that. And I'll make damn sure no one else will see that unless you do exactly what I tell you to do." the detective replied cruelly.
Merit took a moment's pause to sigh and continued, apparently bored of taunting the lycanthrope. "Think for a second. Will your organization put it's neck out for you, on your word, when the state police are involved? In a shitty little American state way outside their stomping grounds? Risk and reward; that's all organized crime is, no matter what they told you those tattoos stand for." Sher leaned back in her chair with her hands behind her head. "You're just not the one with power in this room. But I have good news for you; I want to make you a deal. If you tell me exactly who you are and what you're doing in Redhaven, I won't just let you go home to your organization, but I'll make sure your brother's body gets released to whoever needs to come get it. You never make it onto the record, your brother gets released to whoever you say he gets released to, this all goes away. I want to work with you here.
From another folder she withdrew a yellow legal pad and slid it across the table with a pen. "So how do you want to go home, cowboy? As the Yakuza who cracked the state force to work with your organization, or in a box after you die alone in prison?"

@Cio

Beck listened in quiet surprise to Aava’s new vocabulary… it wasn’t quite intelligible, but at least some of it was English. What was this woman that she could pick up languages so quickly? Was it just mimicking? Was she some kind of wendigo? Were there wendigos in Scandinavia?
”How about we go inside so the doctors can take care of your head?” Beck asked, gesturing to her own head and trying to incorporate some of what Aava had said; perhaps that would help her understand.
She led, or perhaps coaxed, Aava towards the hospital, letting her follow of her own accord but putting a gentle hand behind her shoulder when they passed the nurses smoking near the door. The room they came into was empty, thankfully, except for the receptionist behind a long desk.
“Hi, um, she needs to see a doctor. I’m pretty sure she’s concussed.” Beck explained. “Her name is Aava.”
“Do you have her insurance information?" The receptionist asked without looking up.
Beck rolled her eyes. "She was assaulted less than an hour ago by a crazy person who threw a rock at her head. I'm a vet, I reported the crime and talked to state police about getting her medical attention. Can you help me or not?"
Seeming a little annoyed, the receptionist finally looked up and was visibly very surprised at Aava's appearance. She tried to play it cool as she turned her attention to a very impatient Beck, and pointed to a few upholstered wooden chairs against the wall. "I-I'll see what I can do. Just wait over there."
Beck shrugged, feeling like she was wasting her time with all this. She walked away from the desk and took a seat, assuming Aava would follow her lead.

Hayato Nijimura

Hayato thought for a moment of what he could do, He was sure his brothers in arms would figure out he ratted them out and then he would just be dead. Taking the pen and pad and starting to write down almost everything, Why the Yazuka is here because their is a big gun deal going on with The Russian mafia. His name and rank were also written down on the legal pad, He was a dead man anyway since he was caught by the police. However he was not going to delved into much of the Yazuka business just what he was asked.

After he was finished he looked at her still holding the legal pad in his hand, "If i hand you the pad with the information you need, You can grantee my safety and the proper burial of my Otōto (Little Brother)" He said to her wanting to live another day. He was afraid what the Yazuka would do to him if they found out he squealed on them, And what his lycanthropy brothers will do when they find out what happened.

Aava

@Kinjaav

Aava wasn't very cooperative as Beck tried to coax her into the strange white building. Aava grunted and pouted and even tried to nibble at Beck's hand, agitated, but in the end the woman managed to drag the näkki into the hospital with all her limbs still intact.
The algae haired woman let Beck do all the talking, following her to the reception with what could only be described as a resigned look. Aava stood there slightly slouching, looking at the clean white walls and sniffing the odd air. It was all very weird. Aava decided to stick close to Beck even though their already nonexistent relationship had been damaged slightly by the whole dragging into the hospital.

After the two sat there their time, waiting, a nurse showed up.
"This way," the man motioned friendly, seeming to pay no mind to Aava's weird appearance. Well, maybe he did do a double take, but the nurses must've seen some crazy shit in their time working at a hospital. Especiallyn in the ER.
Beck and Aava were guided behind a curtained space that had a bed the man motioned Aava to sit on. To the näkki this all seemed way too white and clean and strange, so the girl simply stared at the nurse with a confused look.
"Please, sit down," the nurse requested when Aava didn't comply. Turning to Beck, the man continued: "Are you her guardian, or.." He didn't seem all that briefed in on the situation.
All the while there was Aava, hand wandering to touch all the tubes at the side of the bed curiously, bringing her sharp teeth closer for a test bite.

“How about we trade? You give me the pad and I’ll give you this.” Detective Merit withdrew a cheap-looking flip phone from her shirt pocket and slid it across the table to Hayato. “Go ahead and call whoever you have to call to pick up that kid from the morgue. No questions asked, no strings attached, completely untraceable and scrubbed from the record.”
She took back the pad and read over it carefully. “Think about the climate, Hayato. People don’t worry about the mundane; in a world where you could get eaten by a hundred-year-old satan spawn, your average Joe won’t be too worried about influenza and reckless driving. Do you understand that?” She looked up again to meet his eyes.

@Cio

Beck grabbed Aava by the shoulders and pulled her back from the equipment. “For the time being.” She replied, letting the näkki go again. She wasn’t too afraid of getting bitten, honestly; that kind of fear fades away quickly when you’re working every night tracking down covens. “Her name is Aava. She’s mostly non communicative, she got hit in the head with a rock.”
“Mostly?”
“She’s… something. Maybe a siren? The point is that she’s hurt and I told the state police I’d get her looked at.”
“The SAC doesn’t exactly transcend communication. Unless you want to get her an MRI, you might be wasting your time.”
“So what? You won’t do anything for her?”
“I’m just being honest. There’s probably no point.” He replied. “If she’s nauseous or in pain give her over the counter medications, if her condition worsens bring her back. Make sure she gets rest and doesn’t experience another head injury. But we can’t cure a concussion”
Beck grimaced; she supposed she knew that. “Alright. Whatever. We’ll just leave.” The nurse waved them off as Beck tugged Aava by the hand and lead her back through the halls and finally into the parking lot. With a frustrated sigh she stopped just outside the door, blinking in the morning sunlight. She cast a slightly harsh look at Aava. “What are you, man?”
A weak but hopeful cry rang out from across the pavement. “There you are!” A familiar figure came around the building; a young man with freckles and a mop of light brown curls, wearing tattered clothes.

Hayato Nijimura

Hayato looked the police officer dead in the eyes, "Thanks" He said taking the phone turning his body so his side was facing her. Speaking with a yazuka lieutenant about picking up the body. Of course all of this being spoken in Japanese so the policewoman could not know about the other subjects he touched upon with the lieutenant. Once he was finished with his phone call he placed the flip phone on the table sliding it towards the police officer.

"What now? Now that I've ratted out on my people, Do i get to walk?" He then asked the police officer, Although with these cops their is always a caught. So a thought in his mind was that he would have to do more then write the doings and names of his Yazuka brothers. And even at this moment he felt like shit for betraying them.

The detective retrieved the phone and stared silently at Hayato for a few tense moments, like a predator stalking prey. ”You know, we have vampires here in Redhaven. Lot of ‘em. It’s hard to see your hometown get ravaged by monsters. One in particular has been really troubling me.” she took the folder from the bottom of the small stack beside her and opened it. Inside were pictures of dead faces, each dated from within the last few months. ”No bites, but it’s a vampire behind it; heavy blood loss and comparatively small wounds. Weirdest part? Every corpse we find has ruptured eardrums. Serial vampiric murder; imagine what people would do for whoever caught ‘em?”
She slid the evidence back into the folder and set it atop the legal pad. ”You know, not to burden you with what’s on my mind. We’re done here. I’ll keep this,” she ran her fingertips along the side of the paper. ”and you just think about what I said. Think of it as being let off with a warning.”

"Doesn't sound like i have the choose to walk scot free, I know you would want me to run little errands for you. So when do you want me to do this? And where can i find the suspect?" He asked her straight faced knowing well about the police and doing favors for them. Tapping his fingers on the table waiting for her respond to his question.

"Doesn't sound like the normal run of the mill vampire, Sounds like a elder vampire, Or a vampire that has some sort of eye fetish" He said speaking from personal experience with dealing with vampires. "Could be a leader of some vampire convent, The no bites could be a blood mage perhaps" He said thinking and speculating what cause could be.

Detective Merit’s face fell from a false pleasantness to pure irritation. ”I want you to do it right now. I want you to walk out of this station and look in every fucking nook and cranny for this monster. I need someone to keep looking, and you should thank your lucky stars I can need you, or I wouldn’t have wasted my time here.”
She hit a button on the office phone beside her without shifting her gaze. She pulled the legal pad out of the pile and removed the paper Hayato had written on, and put it in an empty folder. ”So find this creature for me, and maybe if you keep it quiet I won’t fax this to ICE. Here.” she returned the flip phone to him just as the female cop from earlier returned. ”No one is pressing charges, we’re done here. Could you escort Mr. Nijimura to the door?” the detective asked her calmly.

Aava

@Kinjaav

Aava grunted back at Beck at the harsh question, pouting in response. Her sour face turned into a hopeful smile next, however, when she heard a familiar voice.
"Evren??" Aava asked, looking at the approaching figure with a hopeful smile. Leaving Beck's side, Aava began clumsily sprinting at the figure, the loose pants making her efforts a bit more difficult. It must've looked goofy, a long haired, big eyed creature with a big t-shirt hanging on her petite frame. Not to mention the Rapunzel-esque, messy hair dragging behind her on the ground, gathering all sorts of sticks and leaves into it.
"Promise!" Aava recalled, grinning.

Vanessa Poirier

Nessa was in her apartment, nursing her wound from earlier. It was healing, but it was going to take a while. She'd have to remain very careful for the next few days, because she wouldn't be at her sharpest physically. Escaping potential threat might prove difficult, so it would better if she laid low for the unforseeable future.
That also meant she'd have to cancel some of her meetings for the next few days, take some time off. Dealing blood under the grid was dangerous even in a small town like Redhaven, and doing it while recovering from an injury was stupid to say the least. Still, it didn't mean acknowledging this made it any easier for the workaholic that Nessa was. Besided, she had nothing else to do, and just sitting around... that would make her bored beyond words.
Sighing, Vanessa limped to her bathroom to retrieve a first aid kit to switch the bandage on her leg and clean the wound again, hopefully nudging the healing process along. Getting a wound infected was the last thing she wanted.

"So, everyone already knows you two have been together since childhood, when did it turn into... Well, into something more?"

Their host was, a middle aged woman with too much money and enough time on her hands to create a nearly R rated interview television show, and a successful one at that. Her unnaturally blonde hair was a stark contrast to Savannah's own.

Before Savannah, who had been answering most of the questions all night, could speak, Nikki grinned and quickly responded.

"Oh I know that one. I think it was the point when Savannah texted me a video of a woman crushing a watermelon with her thighs, asking for me to do that to her head."

Savannah went pink in the face, their host laughed and nodded. "Well, I think that would certainly do it, a bold move I think."

"Heh, I'm just happy it worked, I was terrified to be honest, and didn't want her to reject me. I mean, I would have lost a childhood friend, my only friend at that point."

"Sooo, you asked her to crush your head like a watermelon?"

"Yep."

"C'mon, it seemed like a good idea at the time!"

_______________________________________________________________________________

The tv switched off with a noiseless press of its remote, Leaving Nikki in the dark room, holding a sleeping Savannah closely. Even after 3years, she still doesn't know if a vampire needs sleep during the day, mostly cause her lover's sleep schedule was turned on it's head even before becoming a so called, creature of the night. Savannah stirred slightly at the sudden lack of noise, gripping Nikki tighter in slight, still asleep panic at the sudden change. Nikki ran her fingers through the vampire's hair, almost immediately soothing the creature who had it's head in her lap, and it's arms wrapped tight around her waist. Nothing has changed really, Savannah was as dependant on Nikki as ever, the overly emotional vampire needed a rock, a port in the proverbial storm so to speak. And though years had passed, Nikki knew Savannah still wasn't over her sudden lifespan increase.

Hayato Nijimura

&

James "Duckie" Markham

Hayato looked at her before he was being escorted out of the room, "I will get you your white whale, But then you will be under our thumb don't forget who runs this town" He spoke smiling as he was lead out of the room. Having his handcuffs being taken off his wrists, Being given his clothes and somewhere to dress properly he got dressed looking over at the other police officers especially the female police that escorted him.

Winking at her and pulling out his cellphone, Standing in front of the police station speaking with one of his associates. Talking about if anyone had seen any vampires that has a MO of a dry corpse with no bite marks and ruptured ear drums. From what he was told their was a figure seen at the same time and day of these corpses but no identity just yet.

------------------

A figure came walking over towards Evren, Aava and Beck tipping his fedora towards them, "What's the ruckus?" He said looking over at Aava and Evren. "Who's the dame Beck?" He asked the hunter pointing to Aava. The skeleton was now making his presence known to the three. Looking over at Evren, "Long time no see old timer" He said laughing referring to Evren being way older then James.

A cigar in the side of his mouth that was lit, And the toxins being breathed in even though the skeleton had no visible lungs. His suit looking too big on his thin skeletal body.

Evren welcomed Aava with a hug as Beck huffed and stooped to take a seat on the curb, clearly a little weary. She offered Duckie a half-hearted wave but didn't say anything. "Yes, I promised!" Evren exclaimed, happy to hear she was starting to pick up some new words; it made him happy to see the näkki acting more like herself.
"(Aava, this is James. He's a bit of an outsider, like you and I. He's a friend.)" he explained in her native Finnish before turning his attention to the boney ghoul. "This is who I was talking about, her name is Aava, she's a näkki from Finland. We knew each other... ah, four hundred years ago. I suppose I am an 'old timer.'"
Beck threw her arms up in an overdramatic huff. "What the hell is a näkki? I thought she was some kind of wendigo!" she said, crossing her arms and looking petulantly at the three, before narrowing her gaze at Evren. "What are you even doing here? You got arrested and now you're just here with a whole new face. I hate that and I hate having to clean up after your mess every time you get hungry or make a bad friend."
The shapeshifter shifted uncomfortably, shame evident in the dark blush across his cheeks. "I'm sorry to burden you. I never meant to bring you into this, but I'm deeply grateful for your help -"
"You're always 'so sorry' and 'so grateful.' I'm sick of being roped into all of your drama when you can't even watch your own ass, much less someone else's!" Evren flinched sharply when she yelled and his face drained of color. Beck sighed and took a second to calm down. "God... I like you, Evren, but you're a mess. I did this for you, we're square, and I'm leaving."
She walked off in a silent rage, getting back in the VW and driving off without so much as a glance. Evren was white as a ghost, mortified but feeling quite certain she was right about him.

Aava

@Kinjaav@Eviledd1984

Aava squealed as they hugged, relief filling her. Soon she was introduced to someone who looked like a walking skeleton wearing a fedora, but Evren was sure to clarify he was a friend. Not like Aava would've attacked the man anyway - he had no flesh for Aava to munch on.
Aava jumped when Beck began raging at Evren, ranting something in a language Aava was only just beginning to pick up. Aava pouted, staring daggers at Beck as she left, holding on to Evren protectively.
Friend sad...
"What the hell? I hate that... I hate! Bad friend Hannelore. Those bastards," Aava huffed and puffed, looking at Evren with solemn determination. Then she turned to the skeleton man as if to ask for support or to convince him that Beck had been wrong about Evren.
"Evren on hyvä ystävä! [Evren is a good friend!] Hannelore... Woman... Was wrong, so bad," Aava tried, the words heavy with a Finnish accent.
