HOUSEN

"No. No no no, this is all wrong", was Housen's response as the situation developed, shaking his head in obvious disappointment. He had barely noticed the deadening of sound around him, if at all, as such things were to be expected when one battled superhuman threats from all over the world. Powers were varied and often nonsensically grouped together, or perhaps there had been two villains at large, still adapting on the fly was a necessary ability. And while it would take a psychiatrist to tell for sure, it was quite likely that he could always hear the roaring sounds of the "white mat jungle" in his head. It was his field, his life, as necessary to him as breathing.

So, over anything else that had happened, the girl's introductions betraying an obvious lack of familiarity with the sacred sport of pro wrestling was what got him the most. The entire scene, however, had helped him understand that he had the wrong person. No one that was actually bad was so happy to play the heel for a crowd, a necessary role in any show, they just slotted into the role naturally because they were dicks. "Alright lil girl, points for effort but listen here...", he started, putting his hands down with a sigh, before the boat quaked and heaved on another brutal impact and he found himself and his would-be rival sailing through the air.

The Phoenix Immortal flew backwards, getting a good look at Babble launching face first and clearly lacking even the most basic of training in breakfalling or apparently much of anything. Well, she was gonna be hurting. Him? He was used to this. Housen sailed as he was without even bothering to pirouette, simply measuring the time he had before impact and adjusting his position accordingly. Tucking in his chin to protect the back of his head, the wrestler smashed into the ground with his upper back to distribute the impact across his powerfully built muscles, a loud clap ringing out as his arms slapped down at the same time to further lessen the blow.

Though the whole thing had looked quite nasty, or would have if anyone had been looking, Housen's toughness ensured that the proper breakfall carried essentially no damage but some slight stinging. Letting the momentum carry him, the wrestler's legs went up and over to complete the backwards roll, seeing him spring back up dusting himself off and no worse for the wear. Another day, another bump. And speaking of normal things for wrestlers, concussions. Very carefully, Housen turned Babble around so she lay on her back, neck straight and head carefully placed should she start twitching. Some water would've been nice but he couldn't just leave her lying there on her own.

"You're alright girl, just your brain rattling around your skull. We're gonna wait this out, get you some help and I'm gonna teach you about pro wrestling when you get your senses back". Now if only he knew where they were or why.

Cadbury
@Pyxis

"Master Morgan~! I don't think this is part of The Game anymore~! This might be something worse~!" Cadbury called out as they hovered behind Morgan, trying desperately to keep pace with him. "But to answer your question, this is New York New York, The Big Apple, The City That Never Sleeps~!" Cadbury beamed in satisfaction, always happy to demonstrate their useless knowledge of the human world. But Cadbury soon realized that Morgan's distraught came from the damage to his designer pajamas.

color=blanchedalmond]"I'm sorry, Master Morgan~! We can pawn off some souls later to have some of my friends on the other side magically restore your PJ's. But to prevent anymore damage...'~Sweet Saccharine Student Senshi (TM)...SWITCH~!!"[/color] Cadbury chanted, and upon completing the incantation, Cadbury's jaw unhinged, revealing uncannily realistic teeth, tongue, roof of mouth, and uvula, as a torrent of brown liquid (chocolate), complete with specks of (candy) corn, spewed from the demon bunny's mouth, 'The Exorcist'-style, to drench Morgan in magic. Cadbury still needed to work on the visuals of that particular spell. The magical transformation also helped to cause the surrounding shadows to magically wait for the transformation to finish before resuming their attack, though honestly, no one could really offer a convincing explain for why the last bit happened. When the chocolate stream cleared, Cadbury had clothed Morgan in a magically protective but still cute-looking outfit, while spiriting his designer pajamas away for safekeeping.

"It should be safer to fight them now, Master Morgan~! We can't let New York fall, it's one of the fashion capitals of the world~!, Cadbury explained, hoping it would give Morgan the motivation he needed.

The man in the Statue of Liberty watched the evening's events with unrestrained glee. He'd set his ability to not work on those with certain levels of strength, but he'd expected to only see one or two, but now, his mind filled with what every shadow in the city saw, he witnessed a whole party of strong opponents! His goal was only to lure out a small number and cut them down so the plan could go without a hitch, but now he'd seemingly attracted a horde! This was perfect! He could get the fight he'd been craving, and get the boss' love for dealing with such a large amount of threats at once.

The issue was that some of them had already seemingly found him out. They were approaching very quickly, so he needed to ready himself for a fight rather quickly. His mouth twisted into an almost aroused smile as he closely examined every single one of the threats, they'd already shown their hands, and that gave him the advantage, because he had yet to show his.

With a thunderous laugh, he made a beckoning gesture with his hand, his own shadow consuming him in a cloak of darkness. Across the city, every shadow, those who'd killed their targets, those who had failed to, all of them that remained, all looked over towards Liberty Island, their forms changing from humanoid to bloblike in an instant. Some recoiled back for a second first, some jumped into the air, but no matter what they did beforehand, after a moment they fired into the air as if shot from a million cannons, violently smashing through everything in their paths.

The observer climbed to the window of the Statue as the sun was covered by thousands of his creations, casting all of the island into shadow. They began to slam into him, as soon as they did they were added to his cloak. His laughter became louder and louder as the form poking its way out of Liberty's crown grew larger and larger, finally falling from her in a heap and crashing into the water below. The final shadows crashed into the massive beast, which stood, its head equal to Lady Liberty's.

"I'm here! Over here!" his voice roared, echoing through the massive shadow beast cloaking him and being sent, distorted, to the ears of everyone who was within eyesight. "I want this fight just as much as you do! I've been waiting for this for years! Literal YEARS!~" The head of the shadow monster ripped back as he laughed wildly, then it crouched down, its hand entering the water and its eyeless head focusing on the city before it.

"Here I come! Give me what nobody else could!"

The monster's weightless form cut through the water towards the city at a speed far too fast for something three hundred feet tall.

"GIVE ME A FIGHT TO REMEMBER!~"

Maulusk

Maulusk tilted his head slightly as he observed the various shadowy denizens of New York raising their head and focusing on a central location. Usually the citizens of an area tended to be doing their own activities, sure perhaps they engaged in similar thoughts, but they never tended to do the exact same thing. He slowly straightened his head as he lowered down his map and observed the denizens over the location he wished to visit.

After all, if the entire population was focused on a destination it was surely a destination the Maulusk wished to visit. He watched patiently as he observed the trajectory of one of the shadows. It remained humanoid only briefly before transforming into the gooey blob that the Maulusk had noticed the ones he had dispatched transformed into. His brow narrowed as he began to slowly fold up his map and gingerly open his duffle-bag. There was going to be no need for a map where he was going.

Slowly craning his head Maulusk looked briefly to those around him and offered a free tentacle. He kept his attention focused on them briefly before he aimed his boat hook at one of the humanoid shadows. As they were metamorphosing into the blob, Maulusk hooked into the shadows with his boat-hook. With the shadow preparing to ‘go home’, Maulusk pulled on the hook to make sure it was secure.

It was.

With that the Maulusk began flying off to Liberty Island utilizing the shadow to his own advantage. As they were traveling through the air, Maulusk began changing out of his cardigan and tie. He quickly let go of his tie and allowed it to fly off and hopefully land somewhere near. As for his cardigan it was dropped near a boating vessel, alongside his trousers, shoes, socks and his duffel-bags.

Due to being hooked on and carrying the extra weight, the Maulusk’s shadow did not merge as soon as the others. It was flying close and wanting to merge with the giant abomination that was the Shadow of Liberty Island. Maulusk did not wish to get that close and proceeded to unhook himself above the bay area. Maulusk held out his boat hook and harpoon far away as he tucked himself in and began to somersault a few times in the area, stopping when his head was directly facing the water.

KEEERSPLAAAASH!

Completing the Swan’s Dive into the water, the Maulusk had entered his preferred hunting grounds. Swimming with a swaying like motion he proceeded to pursue the Shadow as he held out his harpoon and began hacking away to hit the shadowy tendon as if he were carving marble. He wanted to have a secure spot for later, and it would serve as a simple and effective test.

INTERRACTIONS: CADBURY - @Stern Algorithm And the people on the boat. I'm a bit confused because there is a lot happening.

"Not part of the game?" Morgan looked at Cadbury before groaning when they opened their mouth after their incantation. Morgan was still not used to that. He could always give Cadbury a few pointers about making their magic look pretty. Functional and cute, that was Morgan's two favorite things. "Thanks, Cadbury, we're gonna have to move fast if we want to save one of the fashion capitals." And if Morgan also wanted to go to next years fashion show. Still, it almost felt like a drag being here. If this whole ordeal was not part of one of Cadbury's game, then what was the point? Besides saving New York anyway.

With a sigh, Morgan opened his book and flipped through some pages until he found the one he was looking for. "If this is as serious as you say then we have no choice but to use this. He placed a hand over the book and closed his eyes, concentrating on the energy. The wall of undead began to dissipate as Morgan's form began to glow bright pink. Just within seconds, Morgan's body had been consumed by a large sphere of light. His body had been replaced by a twenty feet red fox with a cute pastel pink around his neck.

In his fox form, Morgan grabbed Cadbury between his teeth and pushed passed the horde of shadows that were now turning into black blobs of something before shooting up in the air and towards the big French lady by the sea. With a set location now, Morgan raced through the city, weaving through cars and buildings until he found himself by the ocean, just miles away from the Statue of Liberty. There, he could see a large form where that thing was consuming all the now blob shadows.

So not cute. Ugh. Could seriously use a bit more color and some flare to it. What a loser.

Morgan summoned a wave of undead over the ocean and hopped on it before moving towards the island. Not too far away, he could see a few more people approaching the island. Some looked rather peculiar while others looked normal. Either way, the determination in their faces told him that they were all heading towards the same goal: to kill this fucker that ruined their day. Morgan was specially pissed, he could have been done planning everythig right about now and now here he was in the fox form with Cadbury between his teeth!

The biggest jerk ever!

Now, with less distance between him and the true enemy of fashion, Morgan moved the wave to the nearby boat. Careful to not step on the people- or what seemed to be people- already on the boat he let Cadbury down from his mouth. He knew how much they hated being stuck in there for more than what was needed.

"Hello lovelies, I am Morgan and this here is Cadbury." The large fox looked down at the people on the boat as he sat down in his fox form. "Hope we can all have a fun time killing this little bitch that ruined my day. Or night. Whatever." Morgan's large fox eyes were rolled before looking up at the large shadow. "That this is incredilably ugly.

Babble
On the floor at Liberty Island...

Even in unconsciousness she could feel the sound around her. Sounds ebbed and flowed like waves in the ocean, some small and some much larger. Bang! Crash! Shattering clatter and resounding disaster. The sounds of shadows ripping through the buildings surrounding her, the noise of people dying all around dwindling as the wind whistled with their approach. Housen said some stuff, moving her around too as was evident by the shuffling of her clothes. And that music, synth tunes choked and garbled through speakers in an offense to her core.

Luckily unlike in movies or books or whatever unconsciousness doesn't last longer than a few seconds. If it does then that'd be a case of serious brain damage, possibly a coma. Her eyes fluttered and she suddenly sat up in a violent surge, back straight like a razor. The ground under the two quaked as she pumped a short surge of high-decibel sound into the space beneath her. The vibration from the beat was powerful enough to kick her up to her feat from sitting, the effect also shattering the concrete in a ripple pattern centered directly on where she previously sat.

Her head swam like a school of fish in the ocean. It hurt but not like 'A ceaseless onslaught of suffering raining down on me in a constant roar for eight long years' hurt, just a 'I just hit my head on something hard' kind of hurt which in comparison was basically nothing to her. What was annoying though was the swimmy-ness of it. It made it harder for her to focus, stumbling a bit as she took her first couple of steps after crash landing. Moving past Housen she approached the statue which was now devoid of everyone now that the guy had turned into that huge shadow thing over there. Her eyes were trained on the source of the music. Those speakers needed to die.

_
With each step a stagger she stumbled until she was at the foot of the statue itself. Looking up she could see it like a beacon, tunes mingled with static pouring from the ledge and diffusing out through the air. Through the ground and up the stone she transmitted a signal of her own. Though sound was like water in that it wanted to spread wherever it had the power to reach she could focus it, concentrate it like into a single flow like a river. She created a focused pathway which fed sound both to and from the speakers, the vibrations of their plastic against the stone telling of their exact location. Like lightning on metal the stone would prove a conduit for her sound to reach the speakers.

As she honed in on them she concentrated on their form. She had mapped the full form of these devices inside and out as the vibrations filled every millimeter of their physical being. With a mere thought she suddenly amplified each and every vibration in these devices manifold. Purposefully staggering the intensity of the vibration ever so slightly for each individual component the pieces these devices comprised of all simultaneously jerked away from one another. Metal, plastic and rare earths all ripped free from one another with the force of the sound inside them and rocketed away. Parts smashed into the side of the statue's crown, embedding themselves into the stone like shrapnel from a bomb, while other parts sailed clear over the island and rained down into the waters of the bay.

She had destroyed every part of the sound system this villain had used to play his silly synth music simultaneously. With the echo of the shrapnel's shatter fading past all that remained was blessed silence... Aside from the cacophony of noise that giant shadow monster was making. Also the organic functions of the wrestler who had dropped in.

Sigh! So much for a sweet new base. Looks like folks weren't just going to leave well enough alone.

David Bowie

"My my. It looks like we've got a predicament on our hands. Take me up, will you?" The rifle tilted itself upward. Rui grabbed the handle of the bayonet and with a bit of force, slid it off the barrel. When it did, the paint appeared to chip off until what was left was just a standard, black piece of metal and plastic hanging from a perfectly normal nylon strap to Rui's shoulder. The two peered out of the boat's windows and up at the behemoth as they approach Liberty Island almost conveniently just in time to fight it.

"Come on. Let's go. That must be the thing that's interfering with my dinner." The knife drags Rui out of the boat and the skinny Asian male jumps off the side and rolls off onto the island. Whatever it was, if it was made of magic, then it would be no problem for the David Bowie Knife with its particular anti-magic properties. Rui, lifted the knife and without hesitation, jabbed it into what he believed was the ankle of the large shadow beast.
