Depth perception is kind of a problem for me. Why don’t you save me the trouble and tell me how you look?

Why don’t you lay your past on me? What are you even doing here?
"I was born and raised here in Gravity Falls! When I was born, I came out different from other kids; I was black and white in color, with weird but adorable black eyes, and only four fingers on each hand! The doctors were confused, but my mom and dad accepted me anyways: I was a healthy baby all things considered! 

But I wasn't like other kids. As I grew, it became clear I didn't see colors aside from black and white, either. But where people pitied me, I found a gift: I noticed some things much easier, like the silly creatures that wandered in the woods, and the strange happenings in the shadows. My parents tried to tell me it was because of my strange birth making my mind work a lot faster, but...

I'd have dreams, too. Dreams of a lot of weird, mysterious things. I saw triangles; And creatures beyond anything I knew! My brain wandered 24/7: I was always thinking of the mysteries of Gravity Falls, and trying to uncover secrets within my home. But everyone always shunned my creative mind; Trying to tell me I was having issues in my head. 

My parents took me to one of those talk-docs for therapy. They gave me some kind of medicine; When I took it, I felt so weak. My brain felt like it slowed to a crawl, and everything my life revolved around seemed to start leaving me. I couldn't handle that; So I started lying about taking my medicine. I kept my creativity away from my parents, not wanting to risk having it taken away again: I love my mind, and I should be able to use it how I please, right?

Even to this day, I don't truly know much about Gravity Falls: What caused my strange appearance, what those creatures in my dreams were... But I've had a feeling, recently. And dreams. Dreams of people coming to town. Something big was happening, and I was going to be a part of it. Them too, I think. 

The symbols in my head, what do they mean? There's a bunch of them in my dreams, one of them resembling my own eyes... Is it fate? Is it some sort of sign of an event to come? Well it could come on along, then! Because I'll embrace whatever happens if it means I keep to get being me, instead of a shell of myself!"

Sid is considered to be suffering from birth defects: As cover for Gravity Falls when she rambles on about things she shouldn't.
Sid is entirely black and white in color, sees entirely in black and white, has four fingers per hand, and seems to be very flexible. Between her dreams and view on reality, she seems to connect with Gravity Falls in a personal way; She's more self-aware in a lot of regards than she lets on.
Sid wishes to figure out the cause of her odd birth, while also embracing her own gifts whenever possible.

I have no idea what you're talking about. This is a perfectly normal girl that had horrible birth defects that affected her mind and body. Nothing unnatural here. She's just a loon.

Yeah, but you know the extents of it for the most part. I'll behave.

I have lived in Gravity Falls as long as I can remember. We moved from California when I was around three years old to take over the Mystery Shack when the last generation was ready to retire and we have been here ever since. My dad took over as the new Man of Mystery, my mom got a job at Greasy's Diner and for a while life was fairly simple. Just normal life in a small town, being homeschooled, hanging with family or friends and helping out where I could at the Shack, which by helping...I mean, using what my dad called 'the cuteness factor'. That all changed when I was about twelve years old though, my mom suddenly got sick and eventually passed away. My dad was devastated and the loss changed him in many ways. He lost his charm and pizazz, wallowing in himself and just in a slump as depression set in. It seemed that I was the only joy in his life so I tried to stay cheerful and be there for him as much as I could. I took over more responsibilities at home so he could worry less and stay healthy. He ended up finding someone to take up the Man of Mystery mantle but still owning the place so we could live there and make a profit off the shop. He ended up getting a job a few months later working odd hours as a security officer which means our time together became limited, lonely even. I found myself as the cashier in the shop more often than not just to keep myself busy. If I wasn't in the shop then I was making my way through the woods, taking in the peaceful atmosphere. Sure, I swear I have seen some weird things in there but it wasn't like anyone would believe me and who could I really tell? I barely know most of the people in town even though it is a low population and being mute kind of limits who will listen to you. Sure, some try to understand but most do that polite smile and just try to get away as soon as possible. At least that is how it feels most days.

People around here are a bit strange though so maybe I read into it too much. No one seems to see what I do or care. It is like they live in a bubble, not willing to accept or talk about the weirdness that goes on. More often then not, weird glitches will pop onto my phone or laptop screens and while you could blame the signal....it just doesn't seem that way. Sometimes I swear there is an image in the static. There are a lot of myths and legends about Gravity Falls though which is exactly why even without a spot on the map, people flock to it. It could just be something along those lines that are subconsciously giving me those thoughts when it happens. I have to hear a ton of them at the Mystery Shack after all and some of them are just made up on the fly or altered to give a 'wow' factor. I might just start writing a few down, checking them out to see if they are real. If there is magic in this town, then I want to be able to learn more. All knowledge is good knowledge after all.

I want to be able to speak and maybe one day I will find a way.
I communicate with my family via sign language
I tend to carry around music so I can play things to match my mood
I can play the piano but it makes me nervous to play in front of other people
I will always have something to write with...now paper...that is a different matter
I enjoy spending time in the woods. It is peaceful and I don't have to deal with how to communicate
