Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Camp Grounds
Skills:

Demetri was no detective, but it didn't take much to see the look on Zeke's face followed by the desperate sigh after seeing Janelle and her brother. Demi placed the small wooden box he had been holding onto onto his lap, cracking it open and slipping the Celestial bronze eye inside of it before closing the lid once again. He rolled his eyes at Zeke and blew a small raspberry in annoyance. Of Course he was still focused on her. "Right. The Prophecies…" He said, a mixture of annoyance and concern within his voice. It was those same three prophecies that were allowing him to be a bit more courageous; after all no one knew what was in them or who would go. And Demi didn't want to risk this being his last chance to talk to Zeke and gift him something before he goes off on another quest.

His attention turned towards the campfire for a moment. Sitting there silently, arms crossed over the wooden box that he now leaned over, staring at the flames before finally sucking some air between his teeth and looking towards the son of Apollo. "They're part of why I want to pull you away. After all, you've got to let some of the other Apollo kids have a crack at quests right?" There was an uncomfortable silence at the end of his sentence, as if there was more he wished to say. "Besides, I. I needed to talk to you." Demi finally said in hushed tones so only Zeke could hear.

Cassian Rudenko

Location: Camp Grounds
Skills:

Cassian turned to look and see where the voices were coming from. Following the sound as each new one arose, finding no one around save for himself. He wanted to put his hands up towards his ears, block out all the sound and ignore the voices speaking to him. But he chose to stay composed, walking forward and pretending as if they had no sway over him. As they grew louder and louder, Cassian finally saw something. A wisp, or smoke, some spectral body that appeared just in the corner of his eye. He whipped his head in its direction, seeing nothing as an eerie quiet surrounded him.

He stood there, staring into the blank space, waiting for something to happen, until Anabelle spoke up and startled him. Cassian jumped in place, turning to look at her as he grasped his chest and exhaled. "Oh. It's only you. I just saw the strangest thing before you arrived. Some smoke like creature flying around and now...nothing." He wasn't about to tell her about the voices that accompanied it, or what they were saying. Enough campers already feared him, he didn't need to give them more reason why.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Camp Half-blood: Arena
Skills: N/A

Leda shook her head. "Nah, the flames are supposed to reflect the mood - basically they just tell you what the vibe is. Like, if everyone is real down and sad, the flames should be tiny. But if everyone is really feeling things and just letting loose, singing as loud as they can, the fire should be bloody massive and white hot." She wasn't sure why the flames did that, but she didn't think it had anything to do with fire spirits. If she had to guess, it was probably some Apollo Cabin based magic. They were the music heads (and more than a few of them claimed that Apollo was the god of good vibes, from what she remembered).

She wiggled her toes slightly in her shoes. The fire seemed normal now, so Leda figured that it wasn't anything to worry about - probably just a little spike in anxiety or something, nothing more. "D'ya think the gods ever have smores?" she asked Kiera, just to pass the time. They were waiting for the Romans before they could really get on with everything, and Leda didn't hear a parade of feet coming on over, so it was probably going to be a little while. "I bet Zeus makes them on the end of the master bolt," she added with a snicker.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Camp Half-blood: Senate Tent
Skills: N/A

Niah was always the most practical of the trio, Nancy had to concede. She hadn't even really been considered that Leandra was going to be around, whether they liked it or not, thanks to the earlier prophecy. All Nancy had been focusing on was wanting to send Leandra off to some abandoned island where she could terrorize stranded sailors and be a new line of punishment that the gods could utilize. (Also, Nancy was very proud of Niah for her recent growth spurt of sorts in terms of power. Niah's new ability to more or less force oaths on people was already coming in handy. She only wished Niah could've forced Leandra into an oath of silence years ago, it would've saved Nancy's liver as she wouldn't have needed nearly as much Advil to deal with the ever present headache Leandra caused).

Mads had a good idea - stripping Leandra of her rank would more or less guarantee Leandra could never be in power again in New Rome, but keeping her in the Legion would allow them to keep an eye on her. Nancy just wished they had some sort of anti-power bracelet they could stick on Leandra, just some way to keep her from being able to work against them. But this was the best case scenario - the only way they could protect themselves from Leandra without working against a prophecy, an endeavor that rarely went well. Nancy sighed slightly and nodded. "I second that. Let's take a vote, then. All in favor of demotion for Leandra?"

Janelle Gauger

Location: Arena
Skills: N/A

Janelle wasn't too sure what all was going on with the fire and all. Everything was really weird, and she just wished that they'd hurry up and talk about the prophecies already. Of course, she knew that they technically were waiting for the Romans to hurry up already with regards to it, since they were doing something supposedly important but weren't the prophecies kind of majorly important? Everyone seemed to focus a bit on them whenever they popped up, at least from what she could tell that it.

"Ba chóir go mbeadh deifir orthu i ndáiríre. Shílfeá go ndéanfadh na Rómhánaigh deifir le cibé rud a bhí á dhéanamh acu, ós rud é nach bhfuil tuar tábhachtach nó rud mar sin? Dealraíonn sé i gcónaí go ndéanann daoine cuid mhór faoi," she commented to her brother with a bit of a shrug. She really thought that they really needed to hurry up and move on. It was what they were all there for right? Well, partially, it was the part that everyone was more or less waiting for, at least from what she could tell.

Jason Gauger

Location: The Arena
Skills: N/A

Jason laughed slightly at his sister with her comment. She clearly was being a bit impatient with regards to everything, and who could blame her? Honestly he wanted to hear what all of it was about. "Bí foighneach Janey, níl aon tuairim againn cad a bheidh le lua. Beidh sé go maith, ach fan agus bí foighneach, ceart go leor?" he said softly to her with a small laugh. She was being a bit impatient, but things needed to get moving or something like that, at least in his mind really.

"Fine, ach ba chóir dóibh deifir a dhéanamh i ndáiríre ... Cineál balbh go bhfuil siad ag cinneadh a gcuid ama milis a thógáil anseo..." she muttered with a bit of a huffy breath.

"Tá sé go maith, feicfidh tú, ach bí foighneach. Rud corr de ghnáth is tusa an duine a insíonn dom an cineál sin."

"Sea, ach sin de ghnáth toisc go dtéann tú ag luchtú do chinn ar dtús i gcásanna agus nach cosúil go bhfuil cúram ort faoi cad a tharlaíonn."

He laughed slightly at that comment, before he glanced up to see where others really were. Catching a glimpse of Kristin sort of waving at them, he waved back before glancing at his sister again. "So, you doin alright overall? Ahh, and in case you care Kristin sahrt o' waved at us," he said to her, before more or less turning Janelle's head sort of in that direction, and for the most part just sort of waved back at her too.

Marygold Isley

Location: The Arena

Stella seemed rather freaked out by the flames flaring up, and truthfully, she wasn't too thrilled about the fire shooting up either. She looked at her, and was concerned when she freaked out so much from it, "It's alright Stella... If I'm being honest that fire kind of freaked me a little bit too... Stuff like that, well it can too easily go out of control... I've never really cared for flames or fire at all, unless it is in a controlled setting like a campfire or something... I'm not sure what happened or who did it, but if I knew I'd probably be going over and telling them off about it," she commented to Stella with a smile.

Hearing Kristin also then comment about Stella being able to just ask any sort of questions and they'd do their best to answer, and Mary nodded her head in agreement. No matter what, she'd try to help Stella out no matter what. Of course, currently she was trying to think of how things were going to go with the prophecies, and was a bit on edge thinking about what all they could do with regards to everything. Prophecies weren't good, and she really wanted them to already talk about it with everyone and all.

Stella was thankful that the fire had gotten back in control before it could do any harm, and before she could really freak out fully. She did offer Marygold a small smile as she tried to reassure her that it was fine, and that she didn't life fire either. It did make sense to her, that her fellow sibling had never liked fire unless it was super controlled like it had been. She did chuckle a bit as Marygold said that she wished she had known who had manipulated it, and that she would tell her off. That did make her feel a bit better at that point and some of the color returned to her cheeks at that point.

"Thank you Marygold. I've never really liked fires either, not even little candles sometimes. Maybe it was spirits, or something." She willed herself to relax a bit at that point and then she stretched her fingers. She hadn't realized that she had been clenching her fingers so tightly at that point, and she flexed them a bit. She didn't want to ruin the day that she had been having at that point, and she was sure that she had questions for Marygold, but she could ask her them later. She could tell the mood of the campfire had shifted due to the out of controlness of the fire, but maybe not just because of that.

Camp Grounds:

Annabelle tilted her head to the side slightly as she listened to Cassian as he started to speak and studied him some more very closely as he explained a creature that he had seen and looked confused. "Looks like you've seen a ghost or something, would you like to go to our cabin and I can brew you a cup of tea?" Annabelle offered Cassian giving him a friendly smile, as he started to get the same chilling feeling again and the voice whispered into his ear. "She doesn't even believe you, and thinks you are going crazy you should hurt her." The Voice spoke up again cackling evilly

Kristin Reynolds

Location: Camp Half-Blood, Arena.

Kristin looked towards Jason and Janelle as the two of them waved back towards her and smiled some before turning her attention back towards Mary and Stella as she sat down nearby. "Fire in general isn't really fun either to be honest." Kristin said as she turned towards Stella wondering if she had contact with her parents yet since she had gotten to camp. "So, did you manage to get in contact with your parents yet Stella?" Kristin asked her, she hoped that she was able to. "If you haven't yet we could do an Iris Message for them right now while we wait if you'd like?" Kristin offered.

Kristin was kind of hoping that the Romans would be able to finish whatever it was that they were doing, they were definitely taking a long time to finish what they were doing as well to. But then again they were very busy with all of their internal politics and they always took for every to get things to go through as well to. She eyed Mr. D, Chiron and Rosie were still in their spot talking to each other still.

Kiera Donovan

Location: Camp Half-Blood, Arena
Skills: N/A

"Isn't it also controlled by Hestia or something?" Kiera asked Leda looking towards her girlfriend, she remembered seeing the Goddess of the Hearth at the campfire quiet a few times, she thought about trying to see if she could talk to her at some point. Before turning towards Leda and giggled slightly at the last comment about having Zeus using his Master Bolt to cook up some smores, though the last part made her think of something else.

"I don't think anyone would want something cooked on Zeus' Master Bolt." Kiera said laughing slightly as she looked over towards Arthur and Andy. "Lets go and check up on Arthur and Andy." Kiera said as she got up and made her way over towards Arthur, Andy seemed to be really quiet as she looked at Arthur. "Hey how are you guys doing?" Kiera asked Arthur as she sat down next to him.

Madalyne Crane

Location: Camp Half-Blood, Roman Area, Senate Tent
Skills:

Madalyne turned to look at Nancy when she agreed with her proposal which made her relax some, it was the only logical way that she could think of to keep Leandra close but still keep her at arms length. It was a far better fate than what they had given Waverly, forcing her out of the Legion to fend for herself. She wasn't sure if Waverly was killed or eaten by a monster by now at this point, demigods rarely ever survived being alone places like Camps Jupiter and Half-Blood were able to protect them from the monsters.

Madalyne then raised her hand in voting yes for stripping Leandra of her current rank and position in the Legion. There were ten senators always not including the two Praetors like her and Nancy, they just needed a simple majority for the vote to pass, as five voted for yes, and four voting no. She looked towards Niah she knew that her friend would vote yes for her proposal to strip Leandra of her duties.

Andy smiled at Kiera as she joined them. She liked Kiera. She was also the last left from Arthur's school days. So she knew how important Kiera was to Arthur. "Hi Kiera. I'm alright." Saying that was a whole lot easier than the truth. There was so much to the actual truth she didn't know where to begin. Kiera would learn soon enough that Arthur and Andy were going to be split up soon. Andy had no words to explain how much she hated that too.

"Just worried." She added. That was the best that she could do. She couldn't even start to explain what was going on with her Aunt. She knew Mads wouldn't want it spread around that she was a werewolf. But if pressed she could say that there had been a vision that Mads would die. She tightened her grip on Arthur's hand as she felt her eyes start to burn a little. She didn't want to cry. Not here not now. She wanted to cry when she was alone.

Location: Senate tent

Niah weighed the options taking her time to vote. She wasn't always the last to vote, but this time she was fine being the last. The idea of stripping Leandra of her rank and booting her back to Probatio made the most sense. She couldn't think of a way to keep Leandra under their watch other than that. Since she couldn't she nodded and raised her hand. The vote was now six to four, the majority won.

"I suggest she be given two legionnaires as escorts." She would have added that it would be ideal if they weren't from the same cohort as Leandra but that was unlikely to happen or work out. "Maybe hopefuls for Centurions as loyalty is vital in this operation." Two would be harder to manipulate than one. Even better if they could rotate out the escorts semi-regularly.

Ezekiel Kel

Location: Arena -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel looked away from Demetri when he put the eye away, ceasing the temptation Zeke had to throw it. His eyes wandered over to Janelle and Jason again. He wondered what they were talking about but Demetri’s tone caught Zeke’s attention and he looked back. Demetri didn’t look too pleased about the prophecies or maybe it was because Ezekiel’s attention was divided. Zeke didn’t really care either way. Demetri knew how Zeke felt about their “relationship” and publicly speaking wasn’t on the list of acceptable behaviour.
It fell silent between the two of them and Zeke looked back at the fire, seeing that it was under control again. He moved his guitar back onto his knee to start playing again when Demetri spoke up. Zeke huffed a sigh, looking at the demi-god with dull brown eyes and black hair.
”Unless I’m forced, I’m not going on another quest. I’d like a break,” Zeke told Demetri. Demetri wanted to talk though. When did he not want to talk? Ezekiel looked around, not seeing the Romans anywhere near the fire. He sighed and stood, setting his guitar aside. ”Fine, let’s take a lap but we aren’t going far.” Zeke wasn’t going on the next death mission but if his half-sister or current crush was going, he sure as Hades wanted to know about it.

Arthur Stanford

Location:Arena
Skills: N/A

"Today has been... A lot. " Arthur admitted to Kiera as she approached the two of them. He wished he had better words, but he just didn't. His head was aching, he felt like he could cry at any moment, and a real part of him was just absolutely terrified of the reality before him. "What about you? Have you been doing okay, or have things been awful for you too? " Arthur normally tried to play his feelings a bit closer to his chest, but it was just too difficult to manage that right now.

Arthur didn't want to be dramatic, but he honestly had no idea how to contain himself right now. He just felt raw, like the world he was starting to get comfortable in was moving out from under him. He was sick of friends dying, he was sick of being sad, and he was sick of not feeling safe. If he lost Andy from this, that would be it for him. He didn't know what he would do, but he knew it would be self destructive, dangerous, and would have severe consequences for everyone who'd hurt him thus far.

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Camp Grounds away from fire
Skills:

Demetri watched as Zeke went to place his guitar down. Confused for a moment until the words finally rang in his head. Zeke had agreed to go off and talk. Suddenly Demi's stomach was riddled with knots as nerves twisted inside him begging him to run. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. He had to see at least this much through. Demi stood up, leading Zeke a bit away, just enough to where the campers became shadows in the light of the fire, making it that much harder for any prying eyes to observe their conversation. He was quiet during the walk, taping his finger against the wooden box now sideways and held before him as he walked.

When he finally felt they had moved far enough away, Demetri spoke. "I know you're not happy with what I've just done. It's too public and I want to apologize first and foremost." His cheeks were stained pink with embarrassment, hardly keeping eye contact. "I didn't really need help with the eye, it was just an excuse to pull you away. Something campers wouldn't question. I…" Demetri’s voice was caught in his throat for a moment. Finally looking up to meet Zeke's eyes. "I realized that I've known you for over a year now. We've been friends for at least half of one or so...and yet. I don't even know your birthday and I've missed Christmas with you and…"

Demetri’s voice trembled for a moment. Realizing he was stumbling his words, nothing was coming out how he wanted it. He took a deep breath, letting out a shaky but steady breath. "Anyways, I worked at the forge to make you a birthday present, and I have a late Christmas gift here for you too." Demetri pulled out the eye from the wooden box. Leaving the antiquated copy of the Iliad and the collapsible watch guitar inside. He held the box out towards Zeke for him to take. "Pull the dial on the wristwatch. Oh and uh, happy belated birthday and Christmasyou jerk."

Cassian Rudenko

Location: Camp Grounds > Hecate Cabin
Skills:

Cassian noticed Anabelle's careful inspection of him and his words as the voice spoke up again, causing him to turn and face where the noise had come from. He began to study her himself to see what her final verdict was. His expression softened as he noticed she didn't think he was crazy, shoulders slumped and he nodded towards her. He could tell she knew something was off, and perhaps the Hecate cabin was exactly where he needed to be. "Yeah...A cup of tea sounds really nice right about now."

Cassian allowed her to lead the way towards the Hecate Cabin. Keeping an eye out for his unwanted specter. "Do we have a lot of ghosts wandering the campgrounds? Are they usually...Malicious?" He let his question cling to the air for a moment before he continued forward, figuring he should mask the questions with something less ominous that made him appear less concerned and more intrigued . "Oh, and what kinds of tea do you all carry? Is it a loose leaf? Sachet? Or do you make special brews to open third eyes?"

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Camp Half-blood: Arena
Skills: N/A

"Eh, yeah - in the same way pretty much every hearth is," Leda explained. She wasn't being dismissive of Hestia, or at least, she wasn't meaning to be. She was pretty much just used to seeing the changes in the fire corresponding to the mood of the campers and she didn't think much about its connection to the Last Olympian. Her eyes darted up towards the sky and she didn't doubt that Hestia was up on Mount Olympus right then, likely attempting to stop the fighting between her siblings. That was one thing Leda didn't understand about Hestia - how she was always content to remain behind, giving up her seat for a younger god, it wasn't something Leda would have ever done.

She followed her girlfriend on over to Arthur and Andy, knowing that Kiera was rather close to Arthur as they had come from the same school. Leda was good friends with both of them - having befriended Andy first and that naturally led to a friendship with Arthur. However, as soon as Kiera started asking them how they were, the two more or less let on that they'd been having a horrible day. Leda raised an eyebrow. "You two wanna talk about what's bothering ya or nah?" she asked. She didn't know if this was the prophecies or something more. Her gut was telling her the latter.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Camp Half-blood: Senate Tent
Skills: N/A

Nancy was not surprised to learn that four of the Senators in the room were absolute, total idiots. She didn't doubt for a second how Niah would vote. If Niah had voted against the proposal, it'd only be to come up with a harsher punishment for Leandra (which Nancy wouldn't have been opposed to). There was no universe in which Niah sided with Leandra of all people. With Niah's vote, the die was cast and Leandra's fate was sealed. Nancy bit her lip slightly though, considering Niah's proposal of giving Leandra two guards more or less. She was worried about Leandra's powers as a daughter of Cupid. "Whoever we send, they'd need to be able to deal with her silver tongue," Nancy pointed out.

"Unless you can make some sort of spell against that?" Nancy suggested, looking at Mads. She didn't want to stress Madalyne out or spread her too thin, but they did need to be reasonably confident that Leandra couldn't just use her powers on the guards, escape, steal something else, and cause the second downfall of the Legion in less than a year. Nancy had half a mind to watch Leandra herself, just since she was confident she was impervious to Leandra's schemes (whether that was true or not, who knew), but she needed to lead the Legion. Madalyne was going to leave on a quest. Rome then fell to Nancy.

Janelle Gauger

Location: Arena
Skills: N/A

Janelle was starting to get a little bit bored just sitting around waiting to see what the prophecies were partially about. Now she was a little annoyed with herself for just not asking more about it earlier when she and Cassian had more or less been wandering around and encountered Chiron and Rosie earlier. Then she'd have more of a clue as to what all would be going on, at least maybe just a little bit. That would be nice now wouldn't it? Then again, all they were doing currently was just sitting around doing nothing.

Though a part of her did wish that she could see what was going on in the world around her. For instance, she was a bit curious as to what Zeke was up to, but she wasn't sure if they should talk or something now. Maybe after the prophecies were revealed she'd seek him out to go talk to him? It was a thought, something that she could go do afterwards. Or maybe she could go do that now? It was a thought, though she wasn't exactly saying anything to her brother now, staying relatively quiet waiting for something to happen really.

Aaaaaaand his sister was back to being quiet and mentally sticking around in her own little world, and he wondered what was going through her head now. It was near impossible to ever tell what was going through her mind, though he did glance back over to where Zeke was, figuring that she was probably thinking about him in some way, and when he saw him heading off with Demetri, he figured that she might want to know. "Tá do bhuachaill ag siúl amach le Demetri," he commented to her with a bit of a shrug.

"Ní hé mo bhuachaill é!" she protested in response.

Jason just laughed a bit at his sister with her protest. It was a bit obvious (at least to him) that she had a bit of a crush on the guy, and the fact that she was protesting and saying stuff to deny it just added fuel to the truth that was that. "Tuigeann tú go bhfuil sé níos soiléire gur mhaith leat an fear mar gheall ar do agóidíocht." he pointed out to her with a bit of a smirk to her, and she made a bit of a scowl which made him laugh even more at the entire thing.

Mary just gave Stella a smile in response to her comment about having a fear of fire. That sort of thing wasn't too uncommon she would think, sure it wasn't as common as a fear of heights or spiders or something like that, but it wasn't too bad she thought that way at least. Currently there wasn't all too much going on, with the Romans not really showing up anytime soon, that sort of just left them sitting around the fire sort of just waiting for the Romans, since the Romans got on her nerves for the most part (well, Leandra really).

"An Iris message would be pretty easy to do right now... Since otherwise we are literally just sitting around waiting for the Romans to all decide to show their faces finally. That is if you wanted to," she added to Stella, going along with what it was that Kristin had been saying about it. They were doing nothing, and personally, she was getting a little bit bored, so helping Stella to send off an Iris message would give her something to do in the meantime.

"I haven't had time to call them yet, so if it is alright I'd like to do that. I have the coins to make the call so I might go find somewhere to make the call, if that is alright?" Stella paused a bit as she looked around the fire a bit. She was bored as well, and it sounded like that until the Romans appeared not much would happen. She wasn't looking forward to seeing that girl from earlier again, as she had been very rude to her older sister, and herself.

"Do excuse me." Stella got up once she got the approval of the others and wiggled her way out of her seat and then out of the arena. She found a nicely light area with the help of a prism, she soon had a rainbow being formed from the light and mist and then she tossed the coin into the water. "Oh rainbow messenger goddess, please deliver my message to Kenneth Herbalem." She paused and then smiled as she soon saw the familiar face of her father.

"Stella? Wh...what is going on? What is this?"

"Hey dad, it's me. I'll explain everything."

Hecate Cabins:

Annabelle looked towards Cassian for a moment and shook her head slightly, spirits weren't common here really. "There shouldn't really be any kind of spirits or ghosts on camp grounds other than in here." Annabelle said as she headed towards a nearby cabinet grabbing some stuff to make tea along with some cups and a tea pot as well. "It usually also depends on the type of spirit, some are obviously harmless, others can be a bit mischievous while there are some that tend to be violent like Eidolons for example" Annabelle said as she started to get some water to get ready and boil.

"We have all kinds of tea, what is your preference?" She asked him as she finished getting it ready and waited for the tea to be ready, motioning for him to take a seat at one of the tables. The presence around Cassian was gone now after he had entered the cabin like it was never there anymore.

As Demetri and Zeke left the area for a little bit, they both would feel a chilly presence near them as a voice spoke out to Demetri only for him to hear. 'He doesn't even like you, he loves that blind girl.' Lauryn started to approach them, though she looked a bit off, as a slight golden hue to her eyes were easy to spot. She had an evil malicious grin on her face. She was holding a celestial bronze sword and instantly took a few swings at both Zeke and Demetri, managing to give the two some nasty cuts on their arms. In the corner of Stella's eye she would notice that Lauryn from the Hephaestus Cabin was trying to attack Zeke and Demetri.

"No problem we'll be here if you need us." Kristin said towards Stella as she watched the girl heading off to make contact with her folks and turned towards Mary. "So what do you want to do now while we wait?" Kristin asked Mary as she noticed Jace making his way over towards Jason and Janelle, Jace resting his arm over Jason's shoulder and looking between the two of them. "What are the two of you talking about, also some of us were going to mess with the Hermes kids wanna come with later?" He asked the two of them and giving his half brother a smile.

"Whats wrong if I may ask?" Kiera ended up asking Andy as she sat down and looked between her and Arthur as he heard him, she looked down for a moment feeling sad that she wasn't really there for him. Since they were from the same exact school together before ending up coming here. "Do you guys want to talk about it?" Kiera asked the two of them, she was more or less focused on today really after realizing that she was going to be going on her first quest soon.

"Leda and I kind of know what the quests were announced by Rosie earlier were." Kiera said looking at the two of them, she wasnt sure how they'd react to her mentioning that she'd also be going on one of these quests due to her being the only child of Poseidon in Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter didn't have any as far as she knew.

The other senators within the room nodded in agreement that they'd need to keep an eye on her at all times when one of the centurions spoke up. "We'll discuss and pick which ones to keep an eye on her." They said as Madalyne relaxed somewhat and nodded as she looked towards Nancy asking if she could do a spell or enchant something to keep her quiet. "I'll see what I can do." Madalyne said before turning to look at the rest of the Legion before standing up.

"One of the quests that was brought up, 'To find the sword, the cursed, the storm, the garden, enter the maze one shall fall to the pit, and defeat the bane of fates.'." Madalyne said pausing for a moment and looked towards Nancy for a moment letting out a slight sigh, she didn't want to have Nancy run the Legion on her own. "The cursed one is me, due to my condition i'll be going on this quest i'm not sure how long I will be gone. So I will be stepping down as your Praetor for the time being, if anyone has a suggestion for my replacement we may put up an emergency vote for my temporary acting replacement." Madalyne announced, she knew that you can still run the Legion with one other Praetor but usually it was two a lot of the time.

Ezekiel Kel & Demetri Howell

Location: Outside the Arena -- Camp Half-Blood
Skills:

Ezekiel glanced around the camp again before walking off with Demetri. The walk was quiet and awkward. Zeke was starting to wonder what the point of this was. Surely Demi didn’t want to walk with him and not talk. Zeke turned to question him when Demetri started talking. He listened to Demetri and rolled his eyes. He didn’t see much reason in apologizing. Demi would likely do this again.

It kind of caught him off guard though when the reason why Demetri really wanted to see him was to give him a gift for Christmas and his birthday. Ezekiel hadn’t received many presents of the years, just from his mom and a couple from his half-siblings when they could exchange gifts. Demetri handed Ezekiel the box though and he took it, staring at it a moment before opening it up.

”My birthday is December 12. I’m sixteen,” he added, encase Demetri didn’t even know that. He hesitated in opening the box. What if it was some prank and the box was empty? Demetri spoke about a wrist watch though so Ezekiel stole his courage and opened it up. What lay inside was something Ezekiel hadn’t anticipated.

There was a watch but there was also a book. The prequel to one of Zeke’s most treasured possessions. Zeke had always wanted to read the Iliad but he had come to camp and couldn’t afford his own copy. Zeke ran fingers over the cover before opening it up and read a couple lines before he shut it and looked at the wrist watch.

Pull the dial? Zeke shrugged and pulled on it. He nearly dropped his book when the watch transformed into a guitar. At first, Zeke was more shocked than anything. He had a perfectly good guitar, why would he need another but upon closer inspection he saw why this one was different.

Ezekiel ran his fingers over the carvings, noticing several scenes from the Odyssey placed around the guitar. He shifted his book under his arm to rotate the guitar around. Once he looked it completely over he looked up at Demetri.
”Why?” Zeke had no idea what to say. He was battling between being happy and waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Why? Why?! There was a lot that Demetri was expecting. Refusal, or anger, maybe even disappointment, but being asked why? That wasn't on his list of reactions. He opened his mouth to speak, closing it instantly as he realized he hadn't quite had the answer to that question. Or at the very least he had no way of articulating it. A small chuckle escaped, then another, a bit of nervous laughter coupled with the strange situation before him. "Really? That's your reaction is why?" Demi let out a long sigh before giving Zeke a smile.

A part of him was glad that he hadn't seen Zeke smile just yet, after all had the son of Apollo simply given him a smile then Demetri would've likely melted on the spot right then and there. "Like I said, I missed my best friend's birthday and Christmas. I couldn't very well have left it at that. And besides...You've done a lot for me already...it's the least I can do for you." Demetri cleared his throat, getting rid of any sappy sentiments that may threaten to make him tear up. "Figure this way you can take your music on the road. It's Celestial bronze so it'll be sturdier than a normal acoustic, and collapsible so you aren't carrying any extra weight."

Ezekiel looked back at the guitar when Demetri smiled at him. He looked over the crashing waves and rocks, the ship Odysseus was on and the sirens even. The detailing was incredible. Demi had done this? Put in all this effort for him, just because Zeke worked on his eye and gave him a kiss? And don’t even get him started on the pristine copy of the Iliad.

”Bullshit,” he said and pushed the dial back in. The guitar shrunk back to a watch and Zeke set it and the book, regrettably back into the box and handed them to Demetri. ”And what exactly comes attached with these presents, hmm? You want to come talk to me now whenever you want? You want to hold hands,” Zeke sneered. ”And when exactly am I ever going to get to hit the road with my guitar and not constantly have my life threatened?”

"Hey it's Celestial Bronze, maybe you can walk them over the head, though I don't recommend it. My last 'quest' had a ton of downtime during travels. Ya know...between all the fighting. Figured...well…" Demetri looked towards the familiar wooden box, now being handed towards him. He placed his hands I'm his pockets, shaking his head at Zeke. "I won't take them back. They're yours now. And we already hold hands, it's just when we're alone though. And I can come bother you anytime I want, it's kinda what I do." He said sticking his tongue out at Zeke.

"There's no conditions. No rules or strings. Just...a gift. Nothing more." A part of him knew there was more to it. Even though he didn't want to admit it to either himself or Zeke. But the conversation felt as if it was beginning to get too serious, too emotional. Something he needed to change and quickly. A sneer made its way onto his lips as he looked at Zeke. "But a kiss wouldn't be so bad of a thank you." He teased, clearly not meaning what he'd said wholeheartedly.

”Of course,” Zeke said. He looked back at the box, he really wanted to keep the items inside. He sighed, bringing the box back. Finally, his own copy of the Iliad and a brand new guitar. The one he currently had had been used when it was bought but Zeke didn’t care. It was everything to him and it still was. This, this was just something else.

Ezekiel looked up at Demetri when he mentioned a kiss and he glared. ”You really are pushing your luck.” Zeke opened the box, confirming the items were still inside and didn't magically disappear. He was still waiting for that to happen and would likely be waiting for that to happen for a while.

”Well, thank you… I guess. I didn’t get you anything so,” Zeke shrugged, feeling awkward. It was still so strange to Zeke to have someone like Demi care this much about him.

Demetri smiled when Zeke finally accepted the fact that he wasn't going to take back the items. Thanking him, in an awkward fashion that could rival Demi's own self. He took a step closer towards Zeke, feeling a bit safer now that there wasn't the threat of him shoving the box into his chest and leaving. "You didn't have to get me anything. It's October 20th by the way. I'm also sixteen." He gave the blonde boy a dimpled smile. Glancing over towards the light of the campfire. "Next Christmas, let's share some Hot Coco together, that can be your gift. I'm certain that spot looks beautiful in the winter snow too."
Now he was pushing his luck.

Ezekiel watched Demetri’s feet inch closer to him. His eyes followed up legs and torso until they landed on Demetri’s face. Zeke glanced at the missing eye, itching to fix it as was his habit but he knew there was nothing more that could be done. Zeke shifted his gaze to the other eye and frowned.

”Sure, if we live that long.” Zeke made a habit of not looking too far into the future. Call him pessimistic but the life expectancy of a demi-god was not high. For some reason, the date of Demetri’s birthday didn’t surprise him. With the dark look and black hair that covered half his face, Halloween seemed like Demi’s time to shine. Of course, being able to shift into whatever he wanted helped that theory along.

Demi wanted so badly to reach out and touch Zeke. To place his thumb underneath his chin and lift up his face and tell him to cheer up, to not be so pessimistic. But they were in public, outside, with campers nearby. Even if they only saw a silhouette it didn't matter. Zeke had a reputation to uphold. "We'll make it that far. I'll make sure of it." a part of him wanted to swear on the River Styx. To show the gods they could beat the odds. But that was a dangerous game to play, and Demi already knew what he would do if anything happened to Zeke.

Demetri fidgeted in his stance, shifting weight from one foot towards the other and playing with the ball inside his jacket pocket. A part of him wondered why it couldn't be Celestial Brass? At least Brass was self cleaning when it came to germs. He let out a small sigh as he looked towards Zeke's hair, watching how it glowed in the light of the flames, even from this distance. As if the light itself was attracted to him and forces to make his hair shimmer like golden silk. "Oh, um, weird question. Any chance you guys have brown contacts at the infirmary?"

Ezekiel gave Demetri a skeptical look before he looked towards the fire. One couldn’t ensure survival, especially a group of people who constantly put their lives on the line. Sure, Zeus might fight a little more for his flesh and blood but he may also make sure the death created an epic tale.

He still didn’t see anyone from the Roman camp. It was starting to irritate him that they were waiting around for their cousins to finish with some meeting. He shoved one hand into his pocket, holding the box in his other hand.
Zeke frowned at Demetri’s question and looked back at Demetri. ”Uh, no. Why?” Needing a coloured contact was more of a beauty concern rather than a health concern.

Demetri kicked the ground a bit, scuffing the front of his shoe with dirt. He hadn't expected Zeke to care enough to ask a follow up question. It was bad enough that his ADHD brain had caused him to change tracks so quickly and blurt out a thought in his mind he hadn't wished to articulate. His fingers continued to fiddle with the enchanted eye for another moment. "Don't tell anyone. But I shift my eyes everyday. Unfortunately the enchantment they placed on my new eye uses my natural color...I'd rather hide that."

Ezekiel rolled his eyes at that explanation. ”I thought we'd discussed that Demi. The eye colour doesn’t matter besides, I’m starting to prefer the blue,” he said with a shrug. He looked back at the fire, wondering why he just said that. Did he even really care that much? Well, Zeke was hoping Demi was going to shift into someone else to make this easier but he hadn’t.

”We should head back. Thanks again… bitch.” He glanced at Demetri again, giving him a bit of a smile before turning to head back to the fire. As he turned around, he saw Lauryn approaching them with a strange look on her face. Zeke felt a chill surrounding them but he didn’t think much of it. The closer Lauryn got allowed Zeke to see a glow to her eyes and then she was raising a sword. Zeke raised his arms to block but she just cut into his arms and into Demetri’s.

”What the fuck Lauryn?!” Zeke reached into his pocket, pulling out his sun medallion. Zeke tossed the box to the side, pushing the center of the sun and held his sword in front of him. Zeke stepped to block Demetri as well, not even thinking about it as he did it.

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Camp Grounds away from fire
Skills:

Demetri looked away from Zeke, blushing slightly as he complimented his eyes, his real eyes. For the briefest of moments, he contemplated shifting them back, letting his natural color shine through. But as that thought crossed his mind, the air began to chill and a shudder ran down his spine as a voice began to whisper in his ears. Demi turned to see who had spoken, seeing only Zeke in front of him for the moment. He was used to his mind telling him such things, used to the anxiety and denial, to the self hatred. But this...this was different. Before he was able to say anything, Lauryn attacked the two of them, slashing their arms.

Zeke acted quickly, preparing for a fight and getting in between him and Lauryn. Demetri’s heart fluttered at the sight, his breath getting caught in his throat as he pressed away any thoughts that the voice was right. It was clear that Zeke cared for him. Lauryns eyes were still glowing, the sword in her hand, and Zeke was placing himself on the line. He tried not to think of how quickly the box was tossed, focusing now on what to do. He didn't want to hurt Lauryn, but he didn't want Zeke hurt any further than he had been. Panic began to settle in as Demi took one step back unsure of how to proceed. He just wished Lauryn would stop.

As soon as the thought crossed his mind, his shadow began to elongate, stretching underneath Zeke's legs and towards Lauryn. The shadows began to collect, forming an umbral mass that swirled and wrapped around her, holding her tightly in place. "Zeke, I...I don't know how but...I got her. Get your stuff and go find Andy or other children of Hecate. Maybe they can help with whatever is wrong with her."

Cassian Rudenko

Location: Camp Grounds > Hecate Cabin
Skills:

As Cassian entered the cabin, he felt a calm wash over him. The presence, whatever it was, was gone now. He looked back outside, through the doors, but not daring to go out. His attention was returned back towards Anabelle, listening intently as she told him about various spirits. "These, Eidolons, what exactly are they? What do they want?" He asked as he made his way across the room. Running his fingers across some of the furniture, looking at the books and occult paraphernalia that decorated the place. He couldn't know for certain, but these Eidolon's sounded similar to what he had seen. Mischief was one thing, but the feeling he got off of thar creature...it wanted pain.

Cassian took a seat where Anabelle had motioned. Tapping his finger against his chin while his other had repeated the motion on the table. "Given my nerves I'd say I'm a bit inclined to go with an herbal tea. Perhaps a Chamomile or something with Lavender in it." He paused, mouth partially agape as he thought of what to say next. "Is this cabin warded against Eidolons and other spirits? It feels...quiet in here. In comparison to moments ago outside that is."

Andy took a deep breath, at first, it looked like she might clam up then she said in a rush of words almost all at once. "I just found out I had biological family and now we're going to go on a quest and something terrible is going to happen to her and Arthur and I are going to be split up and I'm going to watch it happen and there is nothing I can do because it is a stupid prophecy."

It probably didn't make much sense. The tears that had threatened to fall earlier did now. "Leda you know a lot, what do you know about the Doors of Death and Tartarus?" Maybe one of the people who had taught her so much here at camp would have an idea of how to save Mads.

Location: Senate tent

Niah hated that Mads would be off without herself and Nancy. It wasn't right that their best friend would go on the most dangerous quest of her life without them. They had been a group for years and now it was being taken from them. She kept her face as serene as she could and glanced around at the Senators trying to decide who she would recommend for promotion. A few she outright rejected because they had voted against stripping Leandra of her station.

What if they were able to bring Mads back though? Could she take her position back? She looked at the other Senators deciding which she believed would make a good Preator. She didn't want to think of them as a replacement for Mads. She paused on Daneilla, the girl looked sad that Mads was stepping down, which gave her hope that she could trust her opinions.

"I think Daneilla might be a good choice." Niah said. Between being a daughter of Fortuna, which they could use some luck, and a fifth cohort, something probably a bit unexpected coming from her. Niah felt of the Senators Daneilla might work best. Niah was just hoping no one thought to vote for her. She'd do it as was her duty, but she wasn't excited about the idea of it.

Arthur Stanford

Location:Arena
Skills: N/A

Arthur was about to explain himself, but Andy seemed to have a grip on doing that, so he was happy to remain mostly nonverbal. It was honestly painful to try to process his feelings into words for the benefit of other people, and he really didn't have the mental energy to try to do that right now. A part of him understood that they fundamentally cared about him, and that that was why they were asking, but sometimes the care of other people felt like a burden rather than a relief. It was because people cared about him and Andy here that he couldn't just leave, he had to stay, or they'd be hurt.

Arthur squeezed her hand back, not wanting Andy to be upset, but it was everything he had not to go into an emotional meltdown right now. All he could really do was enjoy the fact that, at least for now, they were both together. He wanted to feel every second, as much as he could, but he knew that as the night grew longer, he would feel worse and worse until it was too much. Breaking down in front of all their friends didn't at all sound fun or particularly great for his reputation, so he was gonna do everything he could to keep that from happening.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Camp Half-blood: Arena
Skills: Greek Mythology

Leda's eyes widened, hearing the outpouring of emotion coming from Andy. The poor thing had a lot going on. It was really easy to see how little Andy was in this moment, as she cried about her family and being separated from Arthur. Then, Andy pressed for specific details on Tartarus and the Doors of Death. Leda bit her lip for a second, trying to think through how much actual information to give - she didn't want to scare Andy further, but she also didn't want to keep things from her. "We call Tartarus the Pit," Leda began carefully, as more information came to the front of her mind.

"The Underworld, it's down deep and all... The Pit's deeper. That's where monsters go when they die. I only know of two demigods who ever survived the place, by leaving through the Doors of Death." She looked at Andy and Arthur, trying to gauge their reactions. She didn't want to think about those two kids ending up in Tartarus, by they were children of the Big Three. The Fates probably had huge things in store for them, now more than ever. "If you're thinking about going to the Doors of Death, you have to promise me you won't try it alone - swear on the River Styx," she added sternly.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Camp Half-blood: Senate Tent
Skills: N/A

Nancy nodded. She wasn't surprised to hear Madalyne step down as praetor - and she had no right to feel sad about it. Nancy was going to step down one day, once things were calmed down, so that way she could follow Diana. Mads had to follow the prophecy - she had to focus on surviving. She wouldn't be able to run the Legion from the Pit and keep New Rome safe. She was about to make a motion that Niah should be the new praetor, when Niah went and recommended Daniella, daughter of Fortuna, Centurion of the Fifth Cohort. Maybe they could use some luck on their side. And as much as Nancy hated to think about optics and the more silly parts of politics, picking someone from the lowest ranked cohort after demoting Leandra probably would be a good idea.

She stared at Niah, studying her face. She would love for Niah to be praetor. But if Niah wanted to be praetor, why would she have nominated Daniella? Nancy trusted her friend's judgment. Daniella clearly wasn't crazy too, since she had voted in favor of demoting Leandra. Nancy gave Niah a slight nod. Maybe Niah wasn't ready yet to be praetor. Or maybe she was planning some sort of scheme that being praetor wouldn't give her the time to do. "I second Daniella's nomination."

"Stella... we know you had to go somewhere, but where are you? We've tried calling your cell but nothing. We've been worried." Kenneth looked worried as he spoke to his daughter, and Stella noticed a new patch of silver in his hair. She felt guilty but she couldn't really feel too bad. She had needed to be at the camp, to understand and learn how to control her powers.

"Dad, is Otou-san around? I want to tell you both at the same time."

"Yes, he's here." Soon the face of Stella Otou-san, Taka, appeared in the mist.

"Stella! Oh thank spirits. You're well!"

"Yes, I am Otou-san. I'm sorry to both of you... I promise I was not ignoring your calls. I've had to have my cell phone off since we started traveling. It turns out it is dangerous for me to have them on..." Stella was about ready to give her father's a brief explanation of what was going on when something else caught her attention. She recognized Zeke, and Lauryn, but not the third person. However, Lauryn didn't look right, and she was attacking. "Sorry! I'll tell you later!" She cut off the message and dropped down to the ground, and put her hands on the ground.

"C'mon..." Stella focused, like she this morning. The first time, nothing. The second time, nothing. It was like the plants didn't want to react to her. She frowned and focused a third time, and that time was the charm. The vines rose out of the ground and joined the shadows that wrapped around Lauryn. "You two okay?"

Hecate Cabin:

Annabelle nodded as she started to prepare the tea that Cassian wanted and looked towards him as he asked what Eidolons wanted, and she gave a slight shrug. "They come from the pit and last I heard they were agents of Gaia, but she's long since gone now after the war with the Giants a few years back." She said as she started to pour the tea for Cassian and made her way over towards the table while he explored the cabin and shook her head. "No the cabin isn't since there isn't really a need for it at the moment." She told him as he gestured to take a seat.

Kristin Reynolds

Kristin looked towards where Stella was, and getting the glimpse of Demi and Zeke in the distance, then over towards Mary. "I'm going to see whats going on." Kristin said as she made her way towards where they were seeing that Lauryn was being held down by shadowy tendrils, and plants. The cold pressence around Zeke and Demetri quickly faded, as Lauryn looked completely confused the golden hue was gone as well to, she tried to move her arms and legs and started to struggle against the bindings on her legs and arms.

"What the hell is going on and why am I being tied down?" Lauryn asked looking over her shoulder to see Stella was using her powers against her for some really weird reason. "I was wondering the same thing." Kristin said looking to see Zeke and Demetri were hurt as well, where there was blood coming down their arms.

Kiera Donovan

Kiera listened to Andy as she started to speak and looked down feeling bad for her friend as she went over and sat down next to her and pulled Andy into a hug, and looked towards Arthur seeing that he was eerily quiet as well to and hugged him to. "Hey it'll be alright." Kiera said trying to reassure the two of them as Leda started to talk about what she knew about the two subjects, sometimes she wondered if Leda was a child of Athena to since she knew a lot.

The Pit sounded really dangerous and that only two demigods were ever able to survive down in there she thought about what to say, she wanted to help but she and Leda were also going to be going on their own little quest as well. "Prophecies aren't absolute, they can be changed right?" Kiera asked looking over towards Leda, she wasn't sure but she had a feeling that there were a lot of variables and different things that could happen to.

Madalyne Crane

Location: Camp Half-Blood, Roman Area, Senate Tent
Skills:

Daniella looked a bit surpised when Niah looked towards her and nominated her to take up Madalyne's position as she looked towards Madalyne who had to nod. No one else at the moment was volunteering for the position of New Rome's next Praetor. Maybe it was after the fall of New Rome, no one wanted the position and wanted to keep Nancy and Madalyne in their positions still. "If no one else wants to volunteer i'll take it."[ She said, as Madalyne nodded looking over towards the other senators and Alexandra as well.

"Alright then, put in the votes for Daniella as Praetor raise their hand." Madalyne said as she raised her hand to vote yes and looked at everyone else in the room, as the Senators started to raise their hands. Only two of the senators voted no for her nomination, she was glad that at least Nancy won't be handling the position alone by herself either. "Daniella will start her duties starting tomorrow morning then. If there isn't anything else on the docket we should go meet with the Greeks."
