That sounds like a lot of fun. How does it work?

A lot easier than olden days, admittedly. There’s a lot of 3D mapping tools that exist and just give you a generally really good layout of land. There are also other things you can use to specifically ping landmarks and digitally relay borders to computers from the real world. It’s pretty neat.

Hopefully, anyway. I find it very fun though. Soon I’m going to have to learn how to do things primitive way anyway, because just having the skills would be handy.

What's a situation where you could end up needing that?

Broken equipment. Or any time or place where the stuff just doesn't work.

Making maps by hand has to be another sort of study entirely, right?

Not entirely, but it is unique. And, if you ask me, kind of cool.

Seeing what kinds of people and cultures are out there is probably the best part of travelling. Every single one is unique.

My favorites are the ones with unique plant life. It's amazing seeing what's really out there.

I also like just general geography. The shapes and such of the landscape can really tell history all on their own.

I could give you a list, if you really wanted. But the most fun places don’t have names at all to recommend.
