@Dark Cloud Forgot to say, thanks for the compliment! I do like 'em a lot, but at the same time, I worry about the consequences of TWO half-blind characters, neither of whom likely have good motivation to invest into Wisdom, ya know?

@Torack so in short here is my bare-bones idea for my character: He fought in that long terrible war, conscripted as a young man without choice as any of able-body were to join the war effort against the elves of Tenas. He had been but a part of his hamlets local militia at the time. (its what I got so far still a work in progress tho)

@Torack Howdy boss.

So, one of the several character ideas I'm considering involves playing an Aven boyo(from Amonkhet). My only issue is I'm not really interested in possessing a flying speed right off the bat. It also aesthetically fits the character idea for his wing(s) to be damaged and non-functional. Would it be reasonable to forego the Aven's natural flying speed entirely and instead acquire a land speed of 30ft (Avens have 25ft land speed, 30ft flying speed, by default)?
If this would not be acceptable, I understand, of course. It is not paramount to my participation.

I've chosen to go with something a lil more simple - ultimately decided I like a Lizardfolk Warlock concept I've got brewing ^^

Is anyone making a support/healer character? The main idea I want to use isn't that but if we don't have one I can make one (never played one before so while it's not my first choice it might be fun!)

If so I would be open to maybe discussing if my character might know your pally, a dwarf prolly would have fought the war too especially a pally of a different god.

But it's not really my business to tell you what I think, in the end it is your character. Excited to see how our party will look in the end. :D

I'm busy on an aasimar ranger-feywalker so I'll attempt to play a support character I'll be picking up Goodberry and have have Healing Hands, so we have a healing spell or two, but a healer character would be better.

If we need a more supoortive/healy role, I'm definitely open to filling it! I'm rather indecisive when it comes to picking a DnD character so I wouldn't mind the direction :P
