The upgraded Torch uses electromagnetic fields to grant a protective shield and enhanced strength to whoever holds the weapon. While it's not enough to fly, SoL can also leap a great distance. Its mostly used as a mace type of weapon for close quarters, but it also acts as a solar powered light source.
Personality: Honest, Calm, Calculating, Blunt, Optimist
Appearance: [see current avatar]
BRIEF Bio:
His mom was a hero in the 90's leading up to his birth just after the new millennium hit. After he was born she was Lady Liberty for quite a few years longer. He knew his mother was a superhero around his 14th or 15th birthday, but it was kinda just something they didn't talk about. She was a successful entrepreneur and owned an apartment complex in Bayside on the far side of Broker (inspired by Brooklyn). Judah was mostly raised by his uncle Sam when his mother wasn't around. His dad was nobody his mother deemed important enough to find. A retired vet, Judah's uncle Sam (who also lived in the complex) inspired him to join the US Army for a couple of years after high school.
Judah had been going to community college on the other side of the 'Bay when his mother was found dead. After finding her latest invention (she was a bit of a tinkerer, as she had an engineering degree), Judah decided to be a hero himself and solve the crime that nobody else in the superhero world seemed to care about. With his military training, his uncle for guidance, and the weapon of his mother Judah was ready to accept his role as the Son of Liberty.
Storylines:
Sinister Foes - SoL will run through a gauntlet of street level baddies while teaming up with Liberty City heroes in the process.
A New Alliance - SoL is gonna be trying to make this a reality one hero at a time.
Who Killed Lady Liberty - Who benefited from her death? Why are the active members of the old Alliance remaining silent?
Notes: He's basically a more street level Capt. America type of character with a touch of DC's Stargirl. It always killed me Cap had street level powers but was a global hero because of his status in the military and the Avengers.
