You know, all these smart people with lots of power and influence in various ways talk a lot about minimizing points of failure, but the one point of failure they never seem to close is themselves. They design and plan so much around their own presence, and I don’t know if it’s because of paranoia or what, but when they are removed from the equation for any reason, everything falls apart without them. My dad does it, my brother does it. I’m getting the feeling this would be easier too, if that weren’t the case.
