Temporal mechanics for roleplayers

Thanks.
I just think it feels a bit choppy roleplaying wise to wait too long when someone's talking directly to your character and you're both waiting for the next major event in the sequence. But it's like post too quickly and no one else feels like they're getting a turn, post too slowly and you're suddenly having to account for every interaction your character should have reacted to at once and it paradoxically slows time down to a crawl.

And his worldbuilding is amazing. I suppose we'll just trust that Clark is having a great time in Warworld until he comes plunging down to Earth at the right moment.
<Snipped quote by Lord Wraith>
Well that escalated quickly. Gee Thor, you miss one lousy boat job and now we're all suffering for it.
Can I presume this is happening at the same time as the Fire Troll attack?

An alternative option would be collaborating on a post, but at this stage in the event it might be best to let everyone make their entrance before working on that.
Apologies for not posting today. Been having a very hard time. Don't wanna go into the details but, I shall work on a post when I'm off work tonight and present something tomorrow. Once again, my apologies.
Times like this, I really wish I could figure out how to get my phone web browser to work nicely with Roleplayer Guild so I can log in on there.

Frost Industries @Stormyx is also New York centered and would allow the telepaths to find each other, which could also get Emma Frost to know about the Martians.

Frosty is rich and can travel around places like Metropolis and to Gotham etc.
Will she though?
In all seriousness, I am down for collabing/getting involved. Still catching up, just wanted to slip a post in today that I've been promising for the last 5 days or w.e

He also learned to lift weights appropriate for his age as he got older in the circus when hanging out with their Strongman. Thomas helped him condition him even more once he became Robin. He may not consider Dick his son yet, but he'd be damned if he'd lose another one in this war. ◼ Espionage & Stealth Dick was taught the basics of espionage & stealth by his mother when reminiscing about her glory days as a thief in Paris. Thomas honed these skills when he started training him. He would not let Dick be the reason they ended up getting caught by criminals. ◼ Skilled Combatant He's nowhere nearly as skilled or as lethal as Thomas when it comes to fighting, but he's been trained to keep up with him and not get himself killed in the line of fire. He is however an excellent marksman when it comes to throwing weapons thanks to training with the knife throwers at Haly's Circus. ◼ Investigation Dick has always been able to read people because of his circus background, but his time with Thomas honed this ability to make him a proper detective. T H E S T O R Y S O F A R... Born to the fantastical Haly's Circus, Dick's life has always been one of thrill and wonder. He was doted on by everyone in the Circus and it truly felt like he was being raised by a village. From as long as he could remember he always wanted to be part of the show and fly on the trapeze like his parents, John and Mary of the Flying Graysons. But until he was old enough to take his position in the skies he started his Circus career as one of the clowns. He learned a lot about showmanship and keeping the attention of the audience with them. As he got older he started being taught by the other performers and game attendants. He took a liking to knife throwing the most. The circus family always commented that with his passion and natural affinity for the circus that he'd end up running Haly's one day. He wanted that more than anything and even Haly himself seemed to want it for him. When Dick was eleven he finally joined his parents on the Trapeze. The world couldn't believe a child so young was so talented. John and Mary were amazing, but only Dick could perform four flips in a row. This put Haly's Circus on the map, catching a lot of fame and attention, but not all attention was good attention. A year later the Joker was drawn to Haly's and tore through the circus in what became known as the Haly Circus Massacre. In one gruesome night his world shattered and his dreams were destroyed. He barely had time to process what happened before he was adopted by Thomas Wayne. The press caught wind of this and claimed that he was only adopting the young Grayson to make up for his wife's crimes. Richard had shut himself in his new room and was unaware of the media circus going on or the revelation of the Joker was. He just knew he wanted to make her pay for what she had done. One night Richard fell asleep in the library reading books. He awoke to see Alfred walking out of a hole in the wall where the Grandfather Clock used to be. When Alfred left the room he opened the secret passageway and found himself in the Batcave. It was then that he realized that his new adoptive father was the Batman. He convinced Thomas to take him on as his protege and partner by saying that the Batman needed someone to balance him. He struggled to find a name for himself until he recalled what his mother called him when he joined the Flying Graysons. He was her little bird. Her little Robin. To honor his parents he took on the mantle of Robin to make sure kids wouldn't lose their parents and family the same way that he did. For the past year he's been pushing himself through training and patrolling the streets of Gotham so he could honor his resolve and not be a burden to Thomas. During the day he attends Gotham Academy and has started to finally open up again due to the influence of the kids at the school. P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) Thomas Wayne is one of my favorite iterations of Batman so when I saw Micki get approved for him I immediately wanted to apply for a Robin sheet, but wasn't sure if I could. Now that the offer is on the table I had to go for it. Dick Grayson has always been my favorite Robin and I wanted to explore his life through this story and see how differently things could go with him raised by Thomas instead of Bruce. I want to have Robin form the Teen Titans in this story as well and hope that this sheet will inspire others to make characters for the team and would be interested to see even Marvel characters join to see how that dynamic plays out. Outside of that the ideas I have for this version of Dick is to explore his life at Gotham Academy and flex his detective skills with the Detective Club and for them to get into hijinks and explore their growth and feelings as teenagers when facing things that they shouldn't have to. I want to give his story that Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, and Scooby-Doo vibe where there will be both fake and real monsters and ghosts while exploring that dark side of Gotham. @Half Pint I'm withdrawing my sheet.
I like that launching a player-based organization is a goal. That's a broader view than I had for my concept. And I had mentioned to Half the other day that I don't like the optics of a player competing with a GM.
Plus it allows me to channel the time to working on the character summaries and the database that's been tossed around.
<Snipped quote by Bounce>
Thank, though I didn't mind competing with a GM. I'd love for you to join the team when it's formed if you're up for it.
<Snipped quote by King Kindred>
In my experience, there's no scenario where a GM wins a competition that someone looking at the thread doesn't come away with the perception that the judging was rigged to begin with.
Not saying that my sheet would have won, just that I don't like how it looks to the casual observer (that we hope applies).
