Style yet comfort. Zeke can be found most often with a toque or beanie on his head or in his back pocket. In the colder months he will rock a blazer or form fitted jean jacket. On the warmer months he’ll wear a long sleeve with the sleeves pushed up and when he is working out the shirt is usually left behind. Jeans of a dark wash tend to be his go to along with high tops or a simple pair of vans, usual white in colour or orange.

Self-Perception: Zeke believes he should be doing more for his mother and sister. He feels a lot of guilt when he goes off to do his own thing, wanting some privacy. He also thinks he is a good person, and generally free from judging others.
Presentation: Zeke is very family-orientated and puts them first a lot of the time. He also has a tendency to judge others for their opinions, either about him and his family or about other things. He has a tendency to lash out when he believes he is being judged before getting the facts first.

Zeke was born two minutes after his twin sister, and she never lets him forget it. Besides, Nancy and Zeke have always had each other’s backs. Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks, in a tiny apartment with only two bedrooms, the twins learned to lean on each other and grow up quickly.

Their dad skipped out on them when they were younger, having a stronger desire to be a touring musician. However, this didn’t stop the twins' natural affinity for being talented musicians. Zeke quickly gained love for the guitar and several big band instruments. Meanwhile, both twins developed a close bond with their mother, and Zeke became very protective of both women in his life. Taking the “man of the house” role very seriously.

A strong work ethic was instilled in Zeke after growing up with his mother working several jobs in order to make the twins' lives easier. Summer camps, after-school sports, new clothes, instruments… no matter what it was, their mother tried to provide. However, Zeke never felt like he went without, even though the kids bullied him in school, trying to make him feel that way. As soon as Zeke was able, he got a job with his sister in the mall with the idea to take stress off his mom to keep providing. Then he started helping out at the club his mom worked in, which quickly led to his training in pole dancing.

Due to the twins’ closeness, it was no surprise that they came out nearly at the same time, to which their mother was more than supportive and bought the dollar store out of every rainbow item. She even brought in pride nights to the club she works in to help her kids feel more connected and accepted.

Now that the twins’ are ready for college, Zeke is looking to branch out and find something that is just his own. He has plans to find an apartment with his sister, and he never wants to be away from her for long, but he does desire having something that is his. This summer camp may be forced community service, but he is hoping to find his own connection with the world. Or at the very least, have one last hurrah before reality sets in. After all, nothing bad ever happens at summer camp.

Relationships: Nancy Kel - Ezekiel’s other half in almost every way, the twins are inseparable. There isn’t much Zeke hasn’t done without his sister, and not much he doesn’t want to do without her. They have big dreams of playing music and travelling together, but Zeke is starting to pull away to pursue some of his own tasks, and maybe a new relationship.

Demetri Howell - Zeke met Demetri in high school a couple of years ago. Zeke finds the loner rather annoying, especially when he comes into the music shop to ask the most ridiculous questions, but Zeke also can’t stop thinking about Demetri. And then the punk showed up and ruined his music video with Nancy. Pair that with a few hours and jail and combined community service. Zeke can’t seem to get rid of the prick. Nor does he want to.

Education: High School diploma; currently working, but hoping to get into University for music.

Crime: Trespassing - Caught in a condemned house while filming a music video with his band.

Demetri has black curly hair that he wears in a bit of a shaggy mullet, dark brown eyes that seem almost like voids, and fair skin that dimples when he smiles. He opts to wear dark colored clothing over any other type. He can usually be found in blacks, dark blues, greys, or any other dark shades that help represent his existential dread that he feels inside. The biggest exception being the handkerchiefs he carries on his person. Usually having a light blue and mustard colored on on the back left pocket of his pants while also sporting another light blue one tied around his wrist or the front belt loop.

Self-Perception: Demi doesn't have a high idea of himself. Between the bullying he faces for who he is and the fact that his parents don't know the real him, he spends a lot of his time hiding what he feels both about himself and within situations.
Presentation:
Demi walks around with an aura of confidence and ‘I don't give a fuck' attitude. He makes a joke about everything and has a habit of acting as if he's some sort of rebel without a cause.
Fears:
Demetri is afraid of being alone, or the fact that he may very well die alone. Beyond the existential he also greatly dislikes being in the dark.

Demetri's family was always a bit more well off. His mother was a museum curator in their town's public museum while his father worked in the automotive industry. His father was always trying to get Demetri to learn about automobiles, how they worked, how to fix them, all in an attempt to make Demi a little more masculine. His efforts were, however, always in vain. Sure he wore leather jackets and his black Docs with blue laces, but he also sported black eyeliner he stole from the local Walgreens and on occasion black eyeshadow to smoke out his eye. He viewed clothing genders as a suggestion and didn't care what section they came in.

It was because of his father's constant pressure alongside bullying that happened back at school that Demetri began to lash out and grow into a more punk aesthetic. He viewed the way he dressed as a form of expression of his true self while combating the norms of those around him, he'd rather be bullied for who he was than be fake like those he saw within school. It drove him to search for new forms of self expression which lead to music, art, and when those didn't help remove the building aggression, skateboarding.

Relationships:
Ezekiel Kel: Was always a grade above Demi in school, but he enjoyed seeing him around. When Zeke graduated, Demi began making more frequent trips to the store he worked at at the mall, always needing help to tune his guitar or to buy a new string. Sometimes even being bold enough to ask about music preferences.

Nancy Kel: Was also a grade above him in school and seemed to always be nearby whenever Zeke was. Even at the music store in the mall she'd be on the same or near same shifts as Zeke, making it harder for Demi to get a bit of time alone. She seemed cool, but not why he was there.

Education: Demi has a high school education. Having decided to take a gap year after graduating to enjoy a spot of life before returning to the world of Academia.

Nancy has bushy brown hair, helped into shape by a series of perms. She has dark brown eyes and an almost olive undertone to her skin. Her build is skinny and lean, the sort of person whose ribs are just a little too visible. Her nails are often chipped and short, both resulting from an unfortunate habit she has of biting them when stressed. In terms of fashion, Nancy dresses in outfits that are considered fashionable for the time period, but a bit eclectic and strange at the same time. She wears irregular blazers and button ups, bowler hats, unusual earrings and vests. While not against skirts and dresses, she's far more likely to wear shorts or pants. Nancy has a bit of resting bitch face, but the alternative is a mischievous grin.

Self-Perception: Nancy isn't really sure who she is at the end of the day. If she looks past all of her bullshit, she doesn't know who that person is that remains. Sure, she's funny and clever, she is extremely loyal and has a bit of a short fuse - but to a certain extent, those things feel fake. She feels sometimes like her life is a role she's meant to play, that it doesn't truly belong to her. Does she like things because she genuinely likes them or because she's supposed to? For instance, does she enjoy music because it is a genuine passion of hers, or does she enjoy music because her twin brother does? Or because her absentee father was a musician? Does she enjoy archery because she likes it or is it just her talent at the sport deceiving her into thinking it's a passion of hers? Who is the real Nancy?

Presentation: Nancy is a stubborn, somewhat hardened individual. She laughs and she smiles, and she hangs out with folks and spends time doing things she enjoys, but there's almost an aura of hidden pain behind her actions. This is the most exemplified by the way she hates touch - that only a select few people are allowed to hug her, to hold her hand, without a verbal assault ensuing. She's quick to anger, and once enraged, she can take things too far.

She is a little out of sync with the world, yes, but she is funny and clever. She is fiercely loyal and speaks her mind. She fulfills her promises. Her dry wit and sarcasm endear her to her friends, to those chosen few she allows herself to get close to. She is judgmental, but not catty. And at the end of the day, for all of her faults, she is a good person.

Fears: Nancy is claustrophobic and has a fear of drowning. She also is terrified of losing her twin brother, Zeke - whether through death or just from him pulling away.

Nancy grew up in poverty alongside her twin brother, Zeke. Their single mother raised the twins after their father walked out, citing his growing music career as more important than his family. She had been young when it happened, but old enough to understand - old enough to harbor resentment towards him, for the little seeds of anger to grow in her young heart. Anger that she claimed was directed at her father, but really belonged to herself, as she hadn't been good enough for him to stay.

Despite that, however, she really did have a good childhood. They didn't have tons of money, but her mother made sure that they never really went without. They went to camps often, where Nancy discovered her love of archery, of photography, of music. Her mother encouraged her to pursue her dreams and passions, to be herself. When the seizures started, she received the medical care she needed, with both her mother and brother learning what they could to help her to manage the condition. And when she was failing math class her senior year, her mother helped her after her shift, teaching her trig in a way that made sense to her.

And while her brother has a strong sense of what he wants to do in life, that same certainty has eluded her. She got a job at the mall in high school because it was the right thing to do. She graduated school instead of dropping out because it was the right thing to do. Now, facing down court ordered community service at a summer camp, time seems to be slipping through her fingers. She thought she'd know by now who she was supposed to be - to be someone more than just Zeke's sister, someone more than an abandoned daughter. Learning about wicca has helped, allowing her to better understand the forces in the world around her - but she still hasn't found her path quite yet.

Maybe she'll finally figure it out. Camp's a magical place, after all.

Relationships: Zeke - Nancy's twin brother. They've been through everything together, and for better or worse, they are inseparable. She cannot conceive of a world without him in it. Her life would feel somewhat directionless without him in it. He is also one of the only people she really trusts to be there for her in the case of a seizure - to keep her safe in one of the most vulnerable moments.

Demi - he comes into the shop quite often, usually to talk to Zeke. She's pretty certain he has a crush on her brother, but Nancy hasn't said anything. On some level she's afraid that if she mentions it to her brother, he'll fall in love with Demi, and the two of them will go on to be happy together. A future where Zeke would spend very little time with her.

Aster grew up the son of a single parent in New York, a financial analyst on Wall Street who frequented Paris for work. It was there he met a woman who stole his heart, gave him a son, and then passed away shortly after childbirth. The early years were difficult for the man, but his job afforded him regular escapes from a home haunted by memories of his love and the child who looked so much like her. Aster was raised by his baby sitter for the first part of his life, on whom he blames his son's more effeminate tendencies.

Now, Aster has enrolled in UBC and plans to pursue a major in communications and a minor in fashion, with an interest in stepping into Public Relations. Marco DePablo: A breath of fresh air in a campus of the blind, deaf, and dumb, Aster never considered an alternative where they weren't friends. Marco is sensible, fashionable, and clearly has excellent taste if he sought out Aster's friendship and is happy to trade conversation over their shared subjects, especially if they're looking at working on projects together.

Emily Richardson: Aster considers her more an acquaintances than a friend, but Marco and her are basically attached at the hip so closeness is expected. Self-Perception: Marco thinks that sometimes he doesn’t really deserve Emily, since she’s much more outgoing than he is at times. He does think that he is friendly and he is caring, but sometimes he wonders if that is just because he knows if he doesn’t present as such that he might get in trouble.

Presentation: Marco presents as friendly and charismatic, and as reliable. He makes sure that he doesn’t let people judge him by his skin color, or their perception of his skin color. He also makes sure to present as fashionable and knowledgeable about fashion as that’s the career path he wants to go into.

Fears: Losing Em is the top fear of his life. He’s always been with Em as long as he can remember and losing her would devastate him. The other fear is people thinking he’s just nothing more than his skin color and attacking him for it.

Marco was raised by a struggling single father, whose career was stalled by the fact that he was stuck with a baby boy after a short love affair. His father did truly love him, and worked hard, but Marco was half raised by Em’s mom, and the two have been close since their early childhood when they met in preschool. Em always defended Marco, and Marco was always there to help Em look presentable, and shower her with love.

Marco grew up with an interest in fashion due to both of his parents, and decided to go into fashion design as a young teen, and also realized he had feelings for his life long friend. They started dating and even got into the same university together. However, things went sour when Marco was accused of a crime that he hadn’t committed and no one was on his side aside from his family. Thankfully he wouldn’t have to do the community service alone, since his beloved decided to join him.

Relationships:
Emily Richardson - Marco’s world, love, partner, and life long friend. They met in preschool, and became fast friends. Em’s mom would watch Marco while his father worked several jobs as a single father, especially as he got busier as Marco got older. They started dating in their early teens, and have been together ever since.

Aster Luixe- They met in college, and while Marco thinks the guy is well dressed and well put together, his people skills could use some help. That’s where Marco comes in. They’re friends, and Marco hopes he can help soften some of Aster’s jagged edges.

Education: Marco currently, or up until recently, attended UBC. He was majoring in Fashion, and was looking to design clothing. It is up in the air if he gets to continue his education.
