So I suggest keeping your roleplay group down to 4 people would be about right. And then as you get more comfortable and have actually managed to complete a story in somebodies world. Then you could add a member.

The whole "picture is worth a thousand words" thing is rather valid; it just doesn't have the same character to it. What I'll probably end up doing is finding a "relative approximate" and then mention below what is different.

I can't even write music in a non-musical form without pulling half my hair out, so I'll probably use the same system of "approximate" as well. I doubt I'll find true satisfaction with either whichever course I take, but I do thank you for the suggestions.

It takes two words to mention what something is. Then a couple words to describe the color and length.
Maybe a full paragraph to describe one picture.

Music, you don't have to actually write the music, just write down what instrument you like and a famous performer who uses that instrument. Then with only that you have multiple songs that somebody can go and find and they can all represent your character.

Try it before you knock it. :)

Tattoos/Scars/Piercings: Kull's eyes and mouth have distinct scarring from fistfights, permanent cauliflower ears, several white notches crisscross his chest and arms, presumably left by various bladed weapons.

Day To Day Attire: A full set of bronze armor (faceless helmet, pauldrons, breastplate, armguards, gauntlets, greaves, the works), a maroon cloak emblazoned with the insignia of a black bull, a twenty-two pound double headed greataxe, a pair of gauche daggers at his waist, a pair strapped to his calves, and one on each bicep plate. Six daggers in all.
He's very fond of wearing crimson war paint, in streaks across his face.

Strengths: Immense strength to wield his axe, a sharp wit to lure opponents into meeting with it, and the stamina to fight all damn day.

Relationship Status: Married

Personality: Kull is an abrasive, overwhelming, and incredibly intense man who has no concept of what an indoor voice is and no off-button. He's of a wild, brave nature, meeting every challenge in the only way he knows how; by beating it down with his axe and/or screaming profanity at it. He's quite creative in his lunatic insults, but it's rarely personal. It serves as a psychological aid and weapon for Kull, enabling him to work himself into a war frenzy while intimidating his opposition. As a professional warrior and captain of the guard (he was a former mercenary as well), he lives solely to hone his skills in combat, and to help mold an environment free of scum. He's drastically impatient and highly critical, despising any course of action short of stalking right up to the bad guy and strangling him.

Despite his faults, though, Kull is truly a good man at heart. Sometimes good guys don't wear white and act nice, after all. He strives to make the lives of innocent people better, and is more than willing to sacrifice himself to a noble cause. His loyalty is undying, for all his lack of social skills. He knows how to have a good time, and can be surprisingly understanding at times. He tends to be greedy, not much for sharing food nor glory, but he's always more than willing to share (profanity laced) encouragement and advice. When it comes to animals, he seems to have a soft spot. Kull gets along well with most creatures, until he kills and eats them for protein. Hey, a man's gotta eat!

Habits: Kull tends to shudder, jerk or twitch with frenetic energy whenever he feels like he's about to get a chance to fight. He often tosses around loud, creative expletives, especially during combat.

Hobbies: Fighting, Training, Fighting, Training, Fighting...
Fears: Failing to protect innocents primarily, though Kull also gets frightened quite badly by ugly women.
Likes: Fighting, cursing, his wife, his axe, toasting food over a fire, and drinking brandy.
Dislikes: Ugly women, cocky villains, teenagers, the elderly, training (he hates training, but does it anyways with great determination to stay in fighting shape), and riding on horseback. That shit makes his gooch sore.

Parents: Alive, and living back in his home world.

Siblings: A sister, who works as a taxidermist.

Childhood: Kull went through the old Spartan glut, you know. Training as soon as he was of age, fighting wild animals bare-handed, killing men on a battlefield when he was a teen. Sure, there are some nice old stories of his feats and adventures, but he's not here to tell history. He's here to make it.

Adulthood: Served as a mercenary for several years, and then joined up with the Empire of the Crimson Throne. He helped them win a critical battle and was thus promoted to Captain. He'd conked a fuck-ton of baddies, got hitched with a woman as crazy as he was, you get the idea. He never had any silly dramatized moments, no whiny tears in the rain. He never even had any rivals, or a nemesis. Whenever an enemy jumped up, Kull simply knocked them back down. Needless to say, he's very good at his job.

Special Moments: First off, when he proposed to his wife, Nyva. He stood up during dinner, chopped the table in half, trounced it into the floorboards, knelt before his woman, and thrust up her grandmother's ring. Kull had dug up her grave to get it. Luckily Nyva was chill about such things.

The second moment? Certainly it was a conflict that occurred shortly after Kull became a captain. A neighboring kingdom had been evacuated weeks prior, when news of an encroaching army came. Kull and his best friend, Burfrem the Guildmaster, stood at the gates of the city with the intent of protecting it for as long as they could, to buy some time for the last few civilians to get out. 300? Cute. No, it was 2.
The two men held off the entire army for a full forty-five minutes before being overwhelmed, but the enemy warlord chose to spare them for their ridiculous courage and skill.

Yes. It really happened.



Current Events: Kull found himself transported to a new realm. He hadn't had anything better to do, luckily, being on paid vacation and all. Being a Captain has benefits.

World

Climate: It varies, as does the real world. Deserts, tundras, grasslands, you name it.
Ruling(s): Deep within the heart of the largest continent on Grailus, known as Calboria, there lies the empire of the Crimson Throne, reigned over by a fair monarch who holds sway over most of the known world. Basically, medieval fantasy president roleplayer dude whom I see no reason to mention.

History: Oh boy. Oh boy. Like a dozen or so past king/emperors, who changed their titles all over the place. As the capital, it's been attacked shitloads of times. Really, it's a huge mess, but at least the leaders were all fairly nice. No hitlers so far.

Notes: Kull doesn't intend to divulge any specific information about his realm. It's all rather typical random-assed POC junk, and he doesn't want to risk letting any cosmic entities get an idea of where he's from. Kull tends to make enemies easily.
