Day 1

A few weeks ago you were either asked or forced to fill out an application form to a place you didn't even know that existed- Fairytalia Academy. A couple days later, you found an e-mail from the said Academy.

Dear Mr/Ms,

We're happy to inform you that you were accepted into our academy. As you may know, our job is to raise young descendants of famous fairy tale characters into what they are meant to be- their parent's replacements. We expect you to be obedient and to listen to all members of staff. If you break any of the rules, your parents/ carers will be notified.

Rules:
Like any other school, Fairytalia has a set of rules, which you are expected to obey.

  • We will not tolerate any kind of bullying. Even if you're meant to become a villain, you can't hurt other descendants.
  • You have to show up to every lesson on time.
  • You're not allowed to leave your dormitories after 8 pm. Anyone who is not in their dormitory after that hour will be suspended for suspicious behaviour.
  • You need to be in your uniform when you walk around the Academy.

The uniform:
The uniform will be given to you in the Academy during your first beauty classes.

On August 28, we will send a carriage for you. Inside you'll meet your classmates. Hopefully, you'll get along.

We will be anticipating your arrival,

Sincerely,
Hans Christian Andersen, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm

And just like that, you found yourself sitting in a carriage with both interesting and peculiar strangers.

Robyn sat silently with her back against a cushioned carriage seat, one hand resting on the regal fabric of the cushion, the other resting on her leather messenger bag. She tucked a few dark raven-coloured strands of hair behind her ears, her eyes scanning the carriage to see a number of different students - some looking like they're about to burst at the seams with anxiety, others looking curious and eager, and some looking rather shifty. Robyn put a hand below her lip, feeling the grazed cut that she had been graciously given by a ruffian she'd
rough-housed with in an alleyway behind her old school. It gave a dull sting when she touched it.

She realised that she probably looked a little shifty herself, with a graze below her lip and a bandage patched across her nose, along with her peculiar crimson eyes. Sinking slightly into the edge of the seat against the window, Robyn opened her leather bag, digging through it for her phone, which happened to be within the midst of a pack of cigarettes and headphones. She took the opportunity to take out her phone and heaphones, but paused and considered whether taking out a smoke before she even arrived at school would leave a good impression on any of the students she would soon call her classmates. Robyn slipped the headphones into her ears and scrolled languidly through playlists.

The carriage must have rolled over a speed breaker, because she sprung up out of her seat slightly as the carriage jolted.
Her finger slipped, and her phone began playing through smooth jazz playlists, but she decided that there was never a bad time for jazz, and laid back against the oak wood of the carriage seat with a lengthy yawn and an apathetic expression on her face. She tried to avoid too much eye contact with the eccentric crowd around her, and shut her eyelids.

"But mom, I don't want to go to that place!"

"It's for your own good Johnny. And, your father wishes it." Belle bent down to pat the young boy's head and he looked up, wielding his best 'pleading eyes' in hope to convince his mother to cancel the enrollment form. "Don't be like that. You'll be fine and you can just send an e-mail whenever you want."

"I know..." Johnson grumbled, his expression turning grim. He then shook his head and then sighed, "I'll just do my best for you mom!"

"That's a good boy, Johnny."

Johnson boarded the carriage after a short farewell speech to his parents, which was mostly directed at Belle. He really didn't want to go to this Academy. The last thing he wanted was to become like his father. He was a hardworking dude and all but he was just so... hot-tempered. Grandpa Maurice and the other servants told him about how his father was way back when he first met Belle... and it wasn't exactly the most ideal type of person. He wasn't exactly striving to be his mother either... he just really wants to be himself. The guy who loves talking to others, playing with others and sparring with others. Is that really too much to ask? Guess being "royalty" isn't as good as they say it is.

He leaned back on the seat, adopting a more casual and relaxed posture as opposed to some of the people who were inside the carriage. He took out a small cake and began eating it. It was a goodbye gift from the chefs. One last taste of home, they said. As he ate the absolutely delicious strawberry cake, he looked around to his classmates. They seemed interesting enough - at least he'll look forward living with them. Half of the reason why he goes to school is to see his friends and do whatever stupid things came to mind. He couldn't exactly invite them back to his home or else his dad would completely flip it. He didn't like his friends coming over. Johnson never found out why.

His eyes caught three interesting students. One was on a wheelchair, the only person with disability in the whole carriage. Johnson couldn't wait to talk to her. It was his first time seeing a person on a wheelchair that was about his age! She looked distant though. Well, he'll just have to see what he can do. The other one was a girl with headphones on. That one had scars and a bandage! Probably one of those delinquent types. Ooh, he can't wait to ask her about what kind of fighting techniques she's got under her sleeves! There was combat class and all but that isn't all he was looking for. The last one was a male who had these two animal ears. It was an odd sight but it definitely interested him.

His mind began whirring on who they were from. Which fairy tale character was their parent? He heard that there were going to be villains too! Villains! Hey, he might get lucky and meet the descendant of Mister Gaston! His mom and dad usually told him what a horrible and narcissistic man Mister Gaston was but still! He finished his cake before he knew it and he let out a sigh, placing the container inside his bag and then just leaning back on the royal cushions. He wasn't excited about some of the classes, but at least there were other good things about this place.

Maybe... this wasn't such a bad idea after all?

Victor was beyond uncomfortable in such a sardine-like position. He didn't want to make eye contact or touch anyone, and this fanciful carriage was filled with nothing but eyeballs, bodies, and bags. His backpack rested on his lap so that Victor had a reason to curl himself up as tight possible, his knees locked together underneath so as not to bump in to any others.

A disaster was coming though, and he could feel it with every second. Victor would soon have to remove his jacket in the increasing heat of the carriage. Outside, before they had arrived, the air was just cool enough to warrant such clothing, but all this body heat on one small space does not feel very cool.

Cautiously, Victor began to unwrap himself. He spread his knees apart and placed the backpack in between them on the floor of the carriage. Next he started to pull the jacket off over his head. Victor thought this would reduce the amount of space he took up, but his shirt caught on the jacket and lifted itself almost all the way up his chest. Embarrassed, he yanked the under shirt down and with a red face stuffed the jacket in to his pack.

He stares at the big jacket barely fitting inside the already full backpack and empathizes with it for a second. Soon it would be able to be unpacked and be put away in his room. Victor looks forward to this. He closes the pack, sets it back on his lap, and puts his head down on it like a pillow. He'll pretend to be asleep but is really just listening to everyone, hoping to learn about them through their conversations.

The carriage rolled up besides Nils’s brick house and he got in. He wasn’t exactly eager to go to the academy to him it just seemed like a big waste of time. How hard could being the new Practical pig be? He just had to build stuff and not be lazy. But his dad told him that he had to go to the academy, so he was going to the academy.

The carriage itself was extremely luxurious. The cushions were soft, made out of expensive fabric and were fit for a king. Speaking of which, there were probably some future kings and queens in the carriage with him. He looked around at his future classmates. A boy with large dog ears. Nils’s first thought was that he was the son of the Big Bad Wolf but he looked to wimpy for that. On the other side of the carriage was a girl with long black hair and a bandage on her nose. She certainly wasn’t a royal. Next to him sat a boy that was eating a cake. Nils’s stomach rumbled. He hadn’t eaten anything today since his uncles, Fiddler Pig and Fifer Pig, had eaten all of his food. Nils shuffled closer to the boy. "You’re sharing, right?"

Johnson had finished observing the people around him. There were really no other interesting people. Ah but of course, those were only from physical appearances. Who knows, maybe the others would have interesting histories, personalities or some other things that would lead to an interesting conversation! He shifted in his seat and then fixed his jacket. Okay, time for this to be a relaxing ride. He reached inside his bag and pulled out his book. It was a human-made fairy tail book about multiple fairy tales. He had just opened his book when he heard a voice beside him speak.

He looked to his side and saw another boy. He was asking for some food too. He looked at his bag and then to his book and then to the boy. Oh crap, he finished his food all by himself. "Oh... uh..." He then let out a nervous chuckle and rubbed the back of his head. It was obvious that the cake is now gone and inside his stomach. "I have an extra cheesecake that I nabbed from our kitchen when they weren't looking." He dug into his bag and took out another container. It held the food in question. It was of relatively smaller size than the previous cake but at least it was there. He then gestured for him to get it. "The name's Johnson..." He paused as if debating whether or not he should tell him his last name. Then again, what was the harm with that? It wasn't like his last name became the official last name of his family... in the fairy tale books at least. "Johnson Le Roux. What's yours?" He was going for a handshake but his hands were currently occupied with the book and the container in them. Well, hopefully, the guy didn't mind the lack of mannerisms... then again, when exactly was he a stickler for rules?

Amy White-Charming and May White-Charming

May and Amy were sitting in the corner of the carriage, not bothered to engage in a conversation with anyone just yet. The former was drinking some apple juice while staring blankly at her phone. Her head was rested on one of the fancy cushions and her suitcase was neatly tucked underneath the carriage's seat. She didn't seem to notice anyone come in due to her focusing on her phone. After a while, she muttered something under her breath and put away her phone. She casually carried on sipping her juice

The latter, however, stayed away from the cushions and instead leant against the carriage's cold metal walls. She was using her suitcase as a bookstand. Instead of reading her book, Amy was just staring at May. She didn't understand why her mother and father send them here. They were both obedient and they both had qualities needed to become Snow White. Well maybe except liking apples, Amy hated apples.

But May could always eat the apple for her.

Skyler Fitzherbert

A short haired brunette sat on one of the seats inside the carriage. She had her arms folded and for some reason, she was barefoot. A large kit bag covered in various pins and stickers was draped over her shoulder and her suitcase was nowhere in sight. She was eying everyone in the carriage sceptically. The brunette had a notebook on her lap and from time to time, she would note something down with a blue pencil.

Griffin had been surprised when his father announced that he was sending him to school. His father had never been big on book learning. So this sudden announcement came as a shock until his father explained that this school was supposed to be good at turning rebellious trend into what their parents wanted them to be. Griffin had no idea how the school would do that considering all things his father had done to him trying to get him get him to follow in his footsteps.

As far as Griffin was concerned that was never going to happen. He didn't care what the school or his father did he would never be his father. He saw being sent away as his first chance at freedom. He would learn how to function on land and then he was going to make a life of his own. Griffin saw the school as a perfect way for him to learn what he needed to know.

His father put him in a row boat with a few belongings and one of his best men. The man stayed with him until the carriage arrived. Griffin knew it was just in case he tried to run but what his father didn't know was that wasn't his intent. Not yet anyway. He was dressed in a big hat with a feather, red coat with old fashion buttons, white shirt with puffy tie like thing, black short pants, long white sox, black boots.

When the carriage arrive he climbed in without thinking. He assumed it would be empty. But it was full. He smirked to hide the fear that filled him at being trapped in a small enclosed space with a bunch of strangers. "Who wanted to sit next to the pirate?"

Score! It seemed like Nils would get something to eat after all. Nils grabbed the cheesecake and proceeded to stuff his face with it. He finished it in under four seconds. The boy then told Nils his name. Johnson Le Roux. Nils didn’t recognize the name but it did sound somewhat royal. “Nils Bäcker. Vanquisher of wolves and builder of brick houses!” He gesticulated dramatically and wiped away what was left of the cake around his mouth. “So, Johnny. Who are your parents?”

There's something soothing about drowning. At least Mortimer thought so. As she stared out at the dark ocean depths, devoid of fish and men alike, she felt a calming sense of solitude. There wasn't a living thing in sight. While most might resent loneliness and its cold grip on the heart, Mortimer embraced it. The salty water filled her mouth and lungs, taking away her ability to breathe. In that moment, she gave up her humanity, and became one with the ocean. And, as her eyes began to slide shut and she began to lose consciousnesses, she felt at peace. She felt happy. She felt free...

Mortimer jolted from her sleep as the carriage she rode in hit a bump in the road. She was dazed for a moment, before taking a moment to gather herself. It took her a moment to remember where she was. Her father's royal carriage was much smaller than the one she was in, and the terrain she saw out her window wasn't the familiar seaside kingdom she was used to. Then her memory came back to her. Her father was sending her to a school to make her more fit to be a princess. She wasn't completely sure why though. He had his son, Mortimer's younger half brother, to take the throne, and, with her conditions, it wasn't like she'd be the first choice to marry off. It didn't really matter why, Mortimer thought. She was going whether she liked it or not. And she certainly did not.

She pulled herself from thought and tore her eyes from the window onto her spiral notebook, which was opened up to an unfinished sketch, a little something that Mortimer had been working on before she fell asleep. It depicted a copy of Fairytalia Academy, as shown in the brochures, only with a few additions. Surrounding the school was a large fence, the top of which was barbwire, along with numerous guard towers with spotlights and snipers. Just beyond the gate were a number of faceless, unfinished figures being pulled along in chains by what would be fairies holding whips. In the middle of the drawing sat Mortimer, sitting outside the fence in an uncomfortable-looking wood wheelchair. She wore a torn up, dirty school uniform and looked disheveled, with messy black hair and circles under her eyes, which were looking directly at the viewer. In her hands she held her notebook, upon which were the words Welcome To Reeducation Camp.

It was a work in progress, definitely, but Mortimer liked how it was turning out. Once she was done gazing down at her artwork, she raised her head to examine the other students. She had been one of the first ones to get in carriage, and had fallen asleep shortly afterward, so most of the people around her she hadn't seen before. Not that it really mattered, for she didn't have any interest in the other people. The only two she found even remotely interesting was a wolf-eared boy and a beat-to-shit girl, and even they brought out the slightest bit of curiosity. Then, however, the carriage came to a stop, and the doors opened to reveal a young boy. Mortimer knew it before he even opened his mouth. From his out of style work boots, to his short pants, to his horrendous coat, to his pierced up face that practically begged for facial hair and a black eye. He was a pirate. One of the self-proclaimed masters of the sea, who claimed have conquered the ocean blue, when they only ever glided across its surface. Mortimer made no effort to hide her glare.

Victor's ears twitched in Nils's direction when he called himself the "vanquisher of wolves" and he knew this was the son of a pig. Not surprising considering how loud and obnoxiously he devoured Johnson's offering right beside him. This also probably meant a difficult relationship between him and Nils. Parent's problems seemed to be hereditary. Everyone else was quite silent apart from some phone clicking and...pencil scratching? Victor raised his head just high enough to peak over his bag and see who was the artist among them. The young lady in the wheelchair had a sketch forming in front of her, but he could not see it from this angle. For a minute Victor tried looking at her eyes to try and catch its reflection, heart racing at the thought that those deep, determined pupils could look back at any moment.

Then the cart stopped. The single door on the carriage, left of Victor, flung open and a young boy who looked like he needed a peg leg started to step in. When he asked for a seat, Victor started to shuffle himself to the right closer to Johnson and Nils. That sardine feeling was coming back. Then he made a small nod to the new window seat he had created to his left.

Victor scanned the children to see what they might think of this, and saw the girl in the wheelchair glaring in his direction. His eyes shot down, and he began to set his head back on his bag as to hide the red that was surely lining his face. Did she catch him staring? Did she know the whole time?

Griffin was curious about the glare the girl gave him. Either she recognized his stupid outfit, which was possible his father was well known enough for her to recognize. Or she had a problem with pirates. The second raised interesting possibilities. She presented a challenge he wasn't sure he could resist. He raised an eyebrow sarcastically. He stepped into the carriage. He purpose crowded the girl that glared at him.

He paused when he noticed the picture she was drawing. It was a good one. Sad though. It was a picture he himself could have drawn if he had the skill. Maybe they had something in common. He wouldn't show her any pity. He wouldn't want any in her place. "Nice picture." He said softly. He brushed his figured brushed the cheeks of the girl in the picture before he moved on.

He moved to the window seat the one boy had created. He was grateful for the window. He already felt trapped. At least with the window near he would know he could escape. Not that he planned to. He nodded to the other boy as he took his seat.

Johnson stared at awe when Nils practically devoured the cake. Whoa, he thought that savoring the taste would be the best since he seemed so hungry. Oh well, not that he'll say anything. "Nils. Nice to meet 'ya." Vanquisher of Wolves and builder of brick houses? Practical Pig's kid maybe. And then Nils had to ask about his parents. Well, he guessed it shouldn't really bother him all that much. He flipped the pages of the book he was holding and then stopped.

He flipped the book so the pages would be facing Nils. "Beauty and the Beast." He read out loud before putting the book back on his lap. "Basically, Belle and Adam." His tone seemed to change between his mom and his dad but it wasn't very obvious.

He looked up to see someone dressed as a pirate step inside the carriage. A... pirate? Captain Hook then? He was the only one he could think of. The other person beside him made space for the pirate by scooting over to them. It was that wolf-eared boy - obviously the child of Big Bad Wolf. Oh wait. To his right was the Practical Pig's son and to his left was Big Bad Wolf's son... well, that was interesting. He turned to Victor and held his hand out. "Heya. Johnson Le Roux, your name is?" Might as well start this with at least introducing himself to anyone he can.

As Johnson's hand reached out towards Victor a protrusion of brown fuzz extended out from behind his back. Both ears and now a tail perked up on Victor as his eyes turned towards Johnson's introduction. It took a noticeable moment before he even moved. With Johnson's hand still hanging in the air, Victor began to mumble something. It seemed he was thinking very carefully about what to say, a concerned look growing on his face as he turned to the floor of the carriage.

"I'm..."

"I'm Victor..."

Victor looked up and away for a moment to make a quick scan of the carriage. He caught the pirate's boots, the twin's sitting side by side, the bare feet girl, messed-up-face-chick, the dress wearing young lady, and then the wheels of that artist's wheelchair made him turn away quick. Victor did not want her to glare at him anymore. Finally he looked back towards Nils and Johnson only now noticing a hand still hanging in the air. Beginning to fall now maybe?

"...Oh, I'm so very sorry."

He reached his hand out and shook Johnson's with a remarkably firm gripped shake and reconstituted composure.

"Very nice to meet you. You said you were Beauty and the Beast's child?"

(Please note that this is my first time roleplaying in this site, forgive me if my "style" is off or my posting may be short.)

Connor has been in the carriage this entire time. Although he's been ignored, he could care less really. He watches the other students interact, mostly because he's bored. At least he'll be able to know more about the students of his year. Wondering who he'll be roommates with, he rolls his neck. Once he finishes doing so, he goes back to watching the interactions going on. He's been sitting away from everyone else and is sort of glad to have not been noticed so far.

Going to this school was both a decision on his part and his parents. He hadn't been forced to gladly, or else he'd have had a miserable year. In fact, him and his parents had spend two hours discussing this. Various topics, like if he really wanted to do this, what to take and things of the such. Eventually they settled on some clothes, a notebook and a couple pencils (even though the school probably had PLENTY of those), a laptop and a phone, and a few other things. You know, along with some standard backup school supplies.

Getting bored of watching, he pulls out his phone and scrolls through some things. Checking a nifty website called the TCF, he scrolls through his 30+ alerts and gets them sorted out. He responds to them in almost record time and slips away his phone. He looks up and around, because apparently he is no longer bored of this. He takes note of the wolf boy, probably the son of the Big Bad Wolf or whatever he was called, and the girl in the wheelchair. Wonder why she's in there... but he doesn't look for too long as that's appear creepy.

(Please don't expect all my posts to be this long. I just have the time ATM.)

As the carriage neared the Fairytalia Academy, a loud voice boomed across the department in which the children sat in. “Good Morning everyone! I hope you enjoyed the ride. My name is Jacob Grimm and I’m the Vice Principal of Fairytalia. In five minutes we will arrive at our destination, so I wanted to inform you how today is going to go,” the man cleared his throat and carried on.

Our attendance officer and your Fine Arts teacher, Marie-Catherine Le Jumel de Barneville, Baroness d’Aulnoy, will be awaiting you at the school gates. She will lead you to the school’s assembly hall where the principal, me and my brother will be explaining the school’s purpose and where we will answer your questions. Later on, you’ll receive your timetable and the information about your dorms, which includes the list of your roommates. Once it’s 7:55, your beauty class teacher will escort you to your class. I hope you’ll enjoy your stay

-Conner-
Conner listens to the announcement intently. It was important to know what was going on after all. He questions the need of a beauty class a bit in his mind, although he does generally know the idea behind it. He shuffles his feet absentmindedly, not knowing what else to do in the carriage. He decides on looking out the window, because why not. Not like he had anything better to do. He lightly taps his fingers on the side of his head, not noticing why he's doing.

He then stifles a yawn as he had gotten no sleep the prior night. He isn't even sure why, he wasn't overly stressed by anything. He had gotten his stuff together quickly and layed there in bed. For hours and hours, he later there and yet, no sleep. He rubs his eyes and stifles another yawn. No point in sleeping now, he should have slept later. Oh well. He goes back to looking out the window. To bad there was classes today, or else he'd crash on his bed.

“Beauty and beast, eh? Well, I think it’d be a bad idea to piss you off then.” Nils looked closely at the book. He never liked reading very much. But a book like this, with lots of pictures, he could probably enjoy reading. Johnson then turned and introduced himself to the dog boy who was apparently named Victor. He seemed like a huge wimp. Nils was about to introduce himself as well but before he could do so, there was an announcement. “Aw, c’mon! We’re going to have class on our first day?”

Johnson smiled at Victor as he said his name. It took a while for the guy to speak. Odd. Wasn't this Wolf's child? Wolf was pretty loud from what he has read and heard. But this guy seemed shy and there was this nervous energy around him. Huh... maybe that's why he was being sent to the Academy. Johnson just gave him a big grin. "Don't worry about it man." He commented, pertaining to his apology.

For someone who looked shy, he had a pretty firm handshake. Something he could appreciate. He then settled his hand down on his lap once more after the shake. "Yup, they're my parents alright." He said with a nod. Even if he didn't like his father, there was no use denying it. He just had to accept that fact. "And you're Big Bad Wolf's kid?" He asked, just to be sure. The ears really gave it out.

He then turned to Nils and then smiled. "Don't worry, I don't have my father's explosive temper." Well, he had a longer patience than him at least. He had his mother to thank for that. He then looked up to where the speaker was as they announced something. He sighed and leaned back.

"I mean, I'm fine with going to class. But beauty class?" He grimaced. Well, nothing he can do now. The last thing he wanted was the school sending his mother an e-mail of how he wasn't doing well in classes.
