Lucas was up first, ready to show what he's got, to make up for his embarrassment earlier. He stretched a little and took off his shoes, and when the teacher said go, took off. However, once his feet left the ground, both his arms and his legs transformed into laser cannons below the elbows and knees respectively, facing away from him. "Full burst!" he shouted, his cannons unleashing four blasts at the same time, giving a little extra power. This caused him to rocket forward at an amazing speed, crossing the 40-meter mark and changing back, skidding on his feet a little. He figured the four cannons, and the little extra boost probably cost him about 5/10 uses.

Haley let out a sigh of relief as Xavier saved her from having to say anything else. She looked over at the massive boy who was late to class, Isn't he a big one. She thought to herself before realising she was still bright red. She covered her cheeks with her hands and took a deep breath to calm herself down. She figured that she would go with the first pair so she could get it over with quickly. But she was thrown off when Lucas was the other to be in the first pair.

She looked away from Lucas and waited for Xavier to shout before she sprinted at full speed. She was most likely ahead of Lucas being as "fit" as she was. That would be until Lucas shoots himself forward using his cannons. Haley was bewildered by how fast Lucas was going, he had literally just shot past her.

Haley skidded to a halt when she crossed the finish line, kinda disappointed at how creamed she just got. Tho she new she had other events to prove her true strength, Running wasn't really her thing anyway. She had briefly looked at Lucas before pinking up again and heading back to the rest of the students, standing a little ways away from them.

Lucas put his shoes back on and jogged over to her, grabbing some water along the way. "Hey, sorry for showing you up like that, I didn't think it would be you I was going against. I just kinda wanted to show you what I could do, that I wasn't just an idiot who rammed his head into a desk and embarassed himself." he said, genuinely feeling bad.

Haley shook her head at Lucas. "T-there's no point being here if you aren't going to give it your all. And don't worry, I'll j-just have to show you up in one of the other tests. Desk face." She smirked and was a little red as she said this. She hoped she didn't hurt Lucas with her little desk face jab, it was more intended as a little joke.

She then looked at the next set of students get ready to do the 40 meter sprint. This is going to be interesting. She thought wondering how everyone would use there quirks to cross the line as fast as possible.

"As long as you're not upset." he said, smiling at her

Augustus was the next race wanted to keep running and the reason for his athletic body swimming and he knew that at least swimming and riding would be easy but he almost never wants to be.

He thought for a moment of his swimming at the Chiemase and went into the forest, but also climbing in the climbing park.

Then he finished, he went into the start formation and focused the target.

He began to jump, and ran as if he were a wild beast.

He ran the first 10 meters in 0.75 seconds, the next 5 meters in another 0.75 seconds, the next 10 meters in a and a half second. as when he suddenly tripled his speed at 30 meters, and the 40 Metters in total in an extremely fast speed. He rushed even further because he was too fast, and ran to the others and shouted:

Fenrir steps up to race against the young Augustus and it is almost funny. Where Augustus is the 'pinnacle' of success, tall and clearly athletic through training Fenrir is the opposite. Clearly he has trained, but he is more lean muscle designed for endurance, speed, rather than pure strength.
As soon as Wraith lets them start, Fenrir takes off at a brisk pace slowly building speed and momentum as he looks at Lucas, the Cannon, and Haley, whose quirk remains unknown. Their race was a quick one and after a decent jog 7 second jog Fenrir passes the finish line and shyly walks towards the pair. "H-Howdy, just wanted to congratulate you guys on your race."[/color] The big guy smiles softly and holds out a hand. "I didn't get to introduce myself earlier, but I'm Fenrir your new classmate."@LeamonZest89@Azure Flame

Haley smiles back at Lucas then watches the next race. Again it seems unfair as one gets easily outpaced by the other. She watches the large boy approach and puts her arms behind her back again. She manages to smile at him as he introduces himself. "Thank you. Looks like we were both the slower out of our pairs. Her smile grows as Fenrir introduces himself "Nice to meet you Fenrir." She then shakes Fenrir's hand. "I guess we'll both have to step up our game for the other events!" She turns back to Lucas. "And you better not hold back. I'll know." She wouldn't know, but she wants to make sure he gives it his all.

She quickly retracts her hand and puts her arms behind her back. She really isn't a fan of the short sleeves.

"I'll try not to, though there isn't much else my quirk can really help me in." he said with a chuckle, rubbing the back of his head. "Plus, if I use my cannons too much, I'll pass out from exhaustion."

Meruem stepped up to the starting line, severity replacing the humor-filled gleam in his eyes. When it came time to use his Quirk, he could never be too careful. There was no margin for error. He quite literally could not avert his gaze from his goal. If he did, he could end up crushing some unknowing pedestrian. He didn't want that, not even a smidgen of him wanted another accident to haunt him.

A calming sigh left him and once his heartbeat had slowed to serenity he gave the sports hall a look around. Behind him, though far off, was a fence of multi-layer steeled walls. U.A's security measures were most likely a double clause product. On one hand they wanted to keep the public and villains out, on the other, they had to protect the public from their dangerous students as well. Good, Meruem thought to himself. That'll come in handy, now I won't have to hold back.

"N-No harsh feelings, a voice beside uttered. The boy was a sturdy youth, average in all its glory with a pointed chin and too-narrow eyes. Massive, alien-looking boosters protruded high from his back. "It was just a bad matchup. I genuinely feel bad for showing you up. You made that huge speech and everything. God... Man I'm such a jerk."

The guy looked guilty but prepared. Meruem only shook his head. "Don't be. Cause I don't plan on losing to ya. The power of gravity is out of this world.

Taken back, the boy only smiled and got into ready position, Meruem followed his lead, head low and eyes pinned on the steel walls behind him. The moment Mister Walker had called "Go!", Meruem had felt the heat of the boy's engines ignite. They sent him flying towards the finish line.

His own eyes went black, a trail of dark energy sizzling from the sides. Adrenaline surged throughout as he twisted the laws of gravity and reflected its underlining rules towards himself. He felt his perception of the world turn, and before he knew it he was shooting down the track, as if falling through the air.

3 Seconds Later

It became apparent that he'd lose two seconds later. The boy's engine was just too powerful and the application of his Quirk hadn't been quite right. While it had left part of the steel wall levitating from its lack of gravity, he had only recently started to gain ground on the youth. Quickly he contemplated his options. He hadn't want to reveal too much of his Quirk at once but the guy hadn't left him much choice.

The blackness of his eyes faded as he released his hold on the wall, sending it massive pieces thundering to the ground. Then just as quick they were obscured with ink again, his gaze now on the boy. The boy's engines burned and yet he was slowing considerably instead of zooming across the finish line. Mere feet from the goal, he looked bewildered, shock taking hold of those sharp eyes. While that occupied him, Meruem went with the momentum of his inverted fall, hit the ground hard, rolled back onto his feet swiftly, and darted towards the finish line.

Problem was, the moment he had passed the boy, his laws of stasis had ended. In no time the boy realize this and ingite his engines again, Meruem knew there was only one thing to do. So he looked upon Haley, his only rival so far, and like an entity of gum contracted the forces between them; slinging him towards her. It was all so exhilarating, using his Quirk, showing up his competitor, and now, being pulled towards Haley at speeds that would surely have her being pulled towards him. He smiled so widely, laughing all the while as he cross the finish line moments before the jet-engine boy.

His eyes fade back to their lapis blue once he released his Quirk. He skidded across the earth once, his heels deep into the earth, then he hopped up from the force, and anchored himself into a run that had slowed to a steady gait. He stopped near Haley and patted her on the shoulder once. "Thanks! I would've lost without you."

Meruem turned from her, looking expectedly at Mister Walker for the results of his race. Surely the Ghost-Hero had seen his long-shot victory. It was only then that he realized the mess he had enacted on the steel wall behind them. He rubbed his neck with a "I didn't do it" expression on his face before smiling, admitting the fault of his destructive Quirk.

Haley let Fenrir's hand go as Lucas spoke to her. Her smile persisted, she was happy that she was talking to people. She much preferred talking to people then people just looking at her. " Well. I guess you'll just have to use your quirk carefully." Haley then watched as the next two people lined up, it looked pretty clear who was going to win but who could know for sure. Lets see what Meruem can do.

With the sound of Xavier shouting the race had begun. It looked like it was going the way she expected it to, then suddenly Meruem was looking at her and she could feel a massive pull. She staggered forward and fell onto her knees. She then locked her foot in place with a piece of rock and looked up at Meruem. When the effect stopped she released herself and stood up. Did Meruem just do that? She wondered not being sure if she could blame him for it. Then she heard him basically confess that it was him. Thanks! I would've lost without you. These words rang out in her head. She had no idea what to say, be she was pretty sure she was angry. She'd just been used to help him win the race and she didn't even get to resist or anything. Meruem quirk was strong there was no doubt about that, his ego might have been stronger tho.

She dusted herself off and looked away from Meruem. She had to beat this guy, be it now or later. She wanted to put this guy in his place.

When he saw her lurch forward, Lucas reached over and grabbed her hand to help hold her back, not realizing she had stopped herself. "Are you okay?" he asked her, also not realizing he was still holding her hand.

Fenrir would calmly pat Augustus on the head while smiling at Haley and Lucas, "You really need to work on your cannons my friend and it is nice to meet you as well miss." At the mention of stepping up his game Fenrir looks up at Lucas, "How much will a shot from your finger take out of you?" He asks calmly when he hears the sound of an engine and his head turns to the race.

Fenrir silently nods as the race begins, taking in the setting and the fun. However, when Fenrir most or less hears Haley fall onto her knees he turns on his heel and looks down at her "Are you alright Miss?" There was a lot of concern in the big guy's voice, but also a hint of some primal anger. This would be about the time Meruem would slid into the scene and with not much effort Fenrir would pick him up by his collar lifting Meruem a good couple of inches of the ground, "What were you thinking?!" His pupils have slowly dilated and his eyes shifting to a soft red.

Haley nodded to Fenrir. "I'm fine. Just a little annoyed." She then realised that Lucas was holding her hand and she let out a squeak. She quickly pulled her hand back and went a little pink. "T-thanks for the thought tho guys. It m-means a lot." She would then be confronted with Fenrir picking up Meruem and holding him by the collar. Tho she was kinda happy to see this she also knew it wasn't right. "Hey Fenrir put him down! Lets not turn this into a fight." She then put a hand on Fenrir's shoulder.

She wouldn't admit it but she was kind of interested to see what Fenrir would do to Meruem, and how Meruem would respond to this "attack". This is bad... I know he's a bit of a dick but this is probably over the top... But still... She thought to herself.

The commotion behind him had suddenly begun to overshadow his own thoughts. Before he knew it, he was being pulled upwards by his collar. A tall, ginger-haired fellow with the lean frame of a swimmer was the culprit. Meruem, not so weak himself simply grabbed the man's wrist with a firm touch. "Oi, what's the issue?" he asked.

He looked pass the men and towards Haley; a roguish smile on his lips. "She not as fragile as you guys think. Her name is in my book so she's strong.That little pull was nothing for her. Even I can see that much and I'm airy as all outdoors. Now let me go, kay."

"S-sorry!" Lucas said, realizing he'd held her hand too long. Then he saw Fenrir pick up Meruem and said "Hey, no need to go that far! Remember, we're here to be heroes!"

Heroes must be able to fight but this is not the time for that.

"That's quite enough!" A powerful, booming voice echoed as Xavier seemed to have grown upset with what he observed. His body had changed subtly, the grey of his body no longer there, instead replaced by a vivid and almost pastel white and an unnatural blue. His face, once long and boxy was now jagged and wider, distorted almost. His teeth had gone from human and omnivorous to needle-like and bared in his disgust. His hair was spiked out and waving in the air.
"Fenrir! You will place your fellow student down or you'll be thrown to the curb! Meruem! You- you! If you ever risk the health of a fellow student for a test of your skill I will personally see to your punishment." He let out, his voice now shrill, ghastly and sending a shiver down the spine of the weak willed. The area seemed to be significantly colder but was steadily getting back to how it was before. Xavier took a moment to breathe in and out, closing his eyes in order to calm himself.
"I'll calculate your mile run from this, let's just skip it for the baseball throw. I'm sorry, but I suppose that old temper of mine is still there"
