"We should just ... not think about it." Kiba spoke up to Danny and Roberts conversation. "Theres no use thinking about it now right?" He said as he began to take a bite of a giant piece of meat. "Hehe it's like a cartoon."

"We SHOULD be talking about this, it's critical for our futurer plans."

"And we can do that LATER, when we're all full." He gestured to the meat in his hand. "When we're all calm and able to think properly, well rested." He then gestured to Phase who was obviously fatigued. "We can do that away from those who don't NEED to know." He gestuires to a couple of in-training near by who were listening in on their conversation. "And lastly, we can talk about this when we have all the info we need." He then gestures to Norn how nodds back

"Do not worry Kiba, I will explain things about the armies tomorrow." She replies.

Kiba smiles as a Tokomon jumps onto his lap, he breaks off a piece of his food and begins to feed the small in training. "So lets sit back, eat, and enjoy ourselves for a bit."

Phase had found his sleeping arrangement lacking, especially considering himself, Gilt, and the other Tamers and Partners would have to sleep in one premade room. It hadn’t taken long to guess at why. Considering that they were brought in a group, it only made sense that they act as a group. That their fates, whether it be good or bad be tied.

He frowned at this but was one of the first to pick a cot and lay down. He pulled his shabby covers over his form, hunched his shoulders, and grew silent. The clanking of Gilt’s armor was something he had grown use to hearing, so when the sound had begun to draw closer, he wasn't shocked to see Gilt.

The Golden Digimon sat down against the wall, his stunted legs stretching out and his arms folded over his armor. Phase stared minutely. “Thanks, Gilt.”

Gilt sunk his chin into his chest and closed his eyes. “Ditto, Phase. Ditto.”

It had taken less than a minute for him to fall into a much-too comfortable sleep.

Robert laid down on a cot and tried to go to sleep, however, he found the cot to be to uncomfortable to sleep and stayed awake until the middle of the night. Groaning he got up from his cot, turning to the left.

"Can't sleep?"

Doru said to Robert quietly to which Robert just nodded his head. Doru said to Robert:

"I can't either."

Robert got up and went out of the room and sneaked past the two Digimon who blew the horns on them, who was sent to guard the room, but was currently asleep, stand up no less! Robert had to wonder how they did that. Of course Doru followed Robert, he wasn't going to let him a walk around alone, after a while they managed to get into the library. Having nothing else to do he decided to read, but realized these they were in the Digimon's writing. Luckily for him Doru translated the words allowing him to read it. He spent a few hours there until he and Doru got tired, thanks to the quick reading he managed to relearn some old tricks, though he had to try them out later.

Thanks to the hours spent they managed to fall asleep, he was going to mess with the masked kid, but felt too tired to do so, but he managed to crawl back on to his cot and managed to fall asleep, but both would be suffering from back pains in the morning.

After diner. Kiba and Wolfy both were about to go to bed before Wolfy realized something. “Oi dumbass you didn't give Norn the egg!!!” He yelled as he noticed the egg was still in his tamers hands.

“Well … yeah.” He deadpanned.

“Well why?!”

“Because I wanted to be there when it hatched!” Kiba explained in a matter of fact way.

“Argh, whatever! Just give it to Norn before we leave town.”

“Okie dokes.” Kiba said as he lay down, setting the egg next to him. “Night lil guy. Night Kamen Rider. Night White hair. Night Beanie Bro. Night Golden Eye. Night Bugman. Night Foxy. Nig-”

“GO TO SLEEP!!” His partner yelled.

“... night Wolfy.”

“You need to learn people's names.”

Outside, on the edge of Nyttliv hiding in the shadows stood a human shaped digimon clad in black armor with gold adornments.

“Hmph, so it seems he’s gained a partner.” The digimon said as he saw the 4 tamers and 4 digimon all sleeping through a window, before fully disappearing into the night.

“I have great expectation.”

Norn Dinohumon

In a room, near the throne room of the castle, the 4 tamers, their partners, Dinohumon, and Norn were all gathered around a table showing the digital world. The center of the map showed a small plot of land that was colored white, while there were 4 larger plots, the north being red the south being blue the left being green and the right being brown, with another plot of land all the way to the right. Norn explained to the group the 6 Big Death Stars and how all of them minus Olegmon and NeoMyotismon, each group controlled an area of the digital world with Tactimon controlling the final, easternmost plot.

“The armies almost have complete control over all of the digital world. Minus a few resistance group like us, as well as Justimon and Beelzemon.”

“And who are they?” Kiba asked as he was looking down at the map.

Dinohumon answered him. “Justimon is a Mega level digimon who has been battling the Big Death Stars since their creation. He's currently in the Aquatic Zone to the south.” Dinohumon continued “And Beelzemon is a lawless digimon who refuses to listen to orders. He's also a Mega and has been going around destroying everything that gets in his way, which happens to mostly be army bases. For a long time they stood as a beacon of hope for most digimon until recently, where resistance groups are popping up everywhere. Last I heard he was wandering the Mountain Zone to the east.”

Norn nodded. “Yes, however the Big Death Star are so powerful that these small resistance groups mean nothing to them. However no matter how powerful they are the big death star have a weakness.”

“Yes, the Big Death Star, despite all working under Tactimon, and all being part of an alliance, refuse to gain help from each other.” Dinohumon explained.

“However that does not mean they don’t have help. Although they hate each other they do gain help from the Three Gods of Destruction. Lucky for us we have been gaining intel on them as of late and have been able to track them.” Norn began. “Gaioumon is currently in the north right?”

“Yes, he is currently training with Dorbickmon in the Volcanic Zone up north. Titamon is is with both Olegmon and Splashmon in the southern Aquatic Zone. And Kuzuhamon was last seen in Tactimons castle 3 days ago along with NeoMyotismon.” Dinohumon explained.

Norn nodded to Dinohumon before looking back at the others. “What do you guys think?”

Kiba looked at the map in thought before his eyes changed to their more serious look, Wolfy dubbing it Serious Kiba, saying. “Our two option in avoiding the Gods of Destruction are to earth go left, to the forest zone. Or right, to the Mountain zone. And I'd rather not start with a place in the mountains and the forest zone will bring us cover”

Wolfy then chimed in. “Yeah but we still have the element of surprise. If we attack the Volcanic zone we might be able to take BOTH Gaioumon and Dorbickmon.”

“We can also go to either the Aquatic or Mountain Zones and gain help from Justimon or Beelzemon.” Dinohumon said.

Norn looked between the three, then at the others. “What do you all think?”

"The forest zone is a sucide option, Kiba."

Doru chimed in when Kiba said he'd take the forest zone. Robert had to ask:

"Why's that Doru?"

To Doru stated in the most matter of fact manner:

"Because, that place is Zamielmon's stomping grounds. He's a specialist at using the terrain, within the forest he might even be able to take on one of the Three Gods. Going in there will get us killed, though he is quite a bit weaker outside of it. I'd say we should go though the mountain zone to talk to Justimon."

Doru looked at that name warmly after all he was a friend of his caretaker Andromon, before... All that happened and Andromon died.

Robert noticed something that Doru reacted to Dorbickmon. It was something complex that name represented a strong hate, but a slight nostalgia. Though no one else noticed it. Robert reacted for a moment to the words Aqua Zone in a negative fashion. Though he hoped no one noticed it. Though Doru did and had no clue what that was about.

[Duthguy]

Dorumon's explanation about how the more powerful members of the enemy army hated each other but were too afraid to act on it and Kiba's comment about them being overheard completely shot down any hopes Danny had for his idea. As a result he spent the rest of the meal somewhat sulking, but not blaming them for it.

Hirschmon who noticed how his tamer felt was glad that he didn't try to push his idea as it would only lead to unnecessary strife in the group"Kiba's right we can plan later, for now we should try and relax." Since he didn't really fit in with the rest of the group Minomon left quietly to hang out with the other in-training Digimon and brag about his brother taking down an attacking Champion.

When dinner was over and the group was shown their shared sleeping arrangements Danny simply laid down in a random bed. While he tried to sleep he kept thinking about his family back in the "real world", something he had forced himself not to do during the day, there was just too much going on that required his focus. Hirschmon had trouble sleeping for different reasons, tomorrow he would have to say goodbye to Minomon something he knew would break the kid's heart. Eventually though they both fell asleep.

The next day in the throne room the whole group was studying the map and making plans."Since they won't help each other we could always go after weak enemies near each Zone's boundary first while figuring out which area is most advantageous considering the fighting-styles of the Digimon, while also improving our teamwork, you know hit and run." Like Danny's previous suggestion it was more of an idea than an outright plan and would no doubt come with it's share of problems. Hirschmon was the first to point a glaring flaw in his partner's strategy. "What will we do if there are border patrols? I doubt we can evade those constantly."

The Throne Room had become a cluster of what he had decided to call “idea vomiting.” Everyone had their own thoughts about which way was better, whose idea was wrong and why, and between all of that was prideful armor that rebutted any chance at being the mistakened.

Phase would rather stay away from that. Unlike the others who had found themselves huddled, he had shied away. Found him a nice sturdy surface to lean against in stoic contemplation. The Forest Zone, Volcanic Zone, Aquatic Zone. None of them sounded especially pleasing. However, Justimon and Beelzemon were potental allies, and strong ones at that.

He could get behind recruiting them.

Gilt stood close by. “We should stick with them. For now at least. Until you regain your strength.”

Phase tilted his head in defeat. He had thought about it last night, about removing himself from the others. “Yea,” was his only reply.

[Crimson Lion]

Kiba stared at the board intensely. “As much as I'd hate to say this, we all agree that we are too weak to do direct battle with a Death Star just yet.” Kiba said as the others left pled to him. “We all agree that we need allies, and Justimon is in an area that has 3 major enemies. That only leaves the mountain zone that's controlled by Gravimon, where Beelzemon is said to be.”

Norn spoke up. “The mountain zone is quite dangerous, Gravimon is an exceptional tactician and his army is one of the more powerful armies. Not only that but Gravimon is considered one of the stronger of the Death Stars.”

“Then we also take Beanie Bro’s idea, and start near the borders. Make as little commotion as possible while also gathering intel on the mountain zone. Our main priority should be to both recruit Beelzemon and gain experience. If Gravimon really is that powerful then we should avoid him at all costs.” Kiba paused before looking down at the egg in his hands. “As we are now. We would be better off fighting low level guys to gain experience.”

Wolfy nodded, “Border sentries.”

“Yep.” Kiba said with a smirk.

Dinohumon took this time to speak up. “I would say this plan is foolish … however there have been reports of battles on the border of the Volcanic and Mountain Zone. Apparently those is Dorbickmon army don't like Gravimon that much. We can use that as a cover to battle both armies while still staying on the down low.”

Kiba then turns to the others. “So we’re all in agreement on going to the Mountain Area?” Everyone agrees in one way or another. Kiba sighed in exhaustion. “Good. All this thinking is making me exhausted.” He says as he walks over to a chair.

Wolfy then stands in front of his tamer with arms crossed. “When the hell are you giving that egg back?”

“Hmmmmm, maybe when we leave.” He says in a happy tone as he began polishing tyhe egg with a handkerchief.

Norn steps forward in between the 4 tamers, “Everyone please get ready. You all will depart in one hour. If you need anything just ask and we will provide it from weaponry to supplies.”

[Shiyonichi]

"Well do have a Laptop and some extra batteries I can use? Oh and a bunch of other electronics."

Robert quickly wrote up a list and handed it to Norn.

"Doru have anything you want? Like fur care products?"

Doru looked at Robert and said.

"I could use something to shut up smartasses."

Robert just shrugged and then thought about Gravimon, according to Doru this guy was supposed to be as smart as Tactimon he wasn't sure this was the best option, but the other options sounded just as bad. A Digimon who knew the terrain like the back of their hand was just as bad, after all that meant that this guy could find them quite easily and the Aqua zone... Robert shuddered at the thought of all that water. It also had two BDS and one of the Gods, so that's a no go. They just had to worry about if Beelzemon would help them or not, cause he sounded like he might just shoot at them.

[Duthguy]

Danny spent some time thinking of what supplies to ask for for and eventually came to a conclusion. "If possible I would like a map of all of the zones, a guide to edible plants and mushrooms and some rations, and unless the digivices have some communication function cellphones or something would be handy."

While his partner was thinking of what to take along on their journey Hirschmon quietly snuck out of the throne room in search of Minomon. It took about five minutes before he found him. He asked the other in-training and fresh Digimon to give the two of them some privacy.

When they were alone the rookie sat down and faced his little brother. "Listen I know you want to come along, but you have to understand it's just too dangerous." Minomon couldn't believe what Hirschmon was saying. "B..but you even trusted me to protect Danny when Kuwagamon was attacking." "Yes and you did a great job, but that was just a single Champion what if an Ultimate or Mega attacks you. In fact if you come along you'll be most likely just a burden."

As soon as Minomon ran crying out the room Hirschmon regretted saying the last part but it was the truth, feeling both guilty and relieved he returned to the others.

Norn explains to the Tamers the various features of the digivices from their ability to store things as data to being able to communicate with one another. “The digivice can even repair broken things.” She said as she picked up a pencil, breaking it in half. As she did this the two new ends of the pencils let out a small wave of ones and zeros that lingered in the air. She then took out a digivice and held it above the 2 halves of the pencil. Soon, the floating data converged back to the pencil and mended the two pieces making it one again. “The bigger the damage the more time it'll take to repair.” She told them as she began to show them the other apps the digivice had.

Underground, below the castle, the 4 Tamers and their partners stood at what seemed to be a train platform, an empty railroad in front of them as a brown robotic digimon approached them. “Ah Guardromon. Is the track complete?” Norn asked the new arrival.

“Yes yes Lady Norn. The route has been made and we'll leave post haste.” The digimon now named Guardromon said as he stood on the railroad tracks. The mechanical digimon began to glow as data began swirling around him. GUARDROMON DIGIVOLVE TO … LOCOMON!!!!! he yelled as the light settled, revealing a big blue train replacing the digimon.

“Woah what the?!” Kiba asked

“This,” Wolfy started. “Is digivolution. The process of a digimon changing into a stronger state. Locomon here must be skilled enough to go in between Champion and Ultimate.”

Kiba whistled as he looked up and down the train. “... so, can u become a train to?” He asked Wolfy.

“No idiot I turn into a motorcycle.” He said sarcastically as he boarded the train.

Kiba nodded as he was about to board the train. “Neat.”

Wolfy stopped him. “Hold up!”

“What?”

“Give the egg to Norn.”

“B-but, we bonded.” He said holding the egg protectively.

“I don't care! It's to dangerous to bring a-”

*crack*

“... did you say something?”

“No …”

*crack crack*

The two looked down at the egg, the egg looked back … or more specifically a green blob with a pacifier was looking up at Kiba confused, covered in egg shells. “Pa … pabu?”

“... I'm keeping him.”

“Oh no your not!!!”

“It called me Papa!!!

“It was saying Pabu!!!!”

“Papabu! Papabu!”

“You're not helping!”

“Let us go son!!!!” Kiba yelled as he jumped into the train.

“Pabu!!!!”

“I hate you.” Wolfy said as he dredged into the train with the others.

“Bye Norn!!!” Kiba shouted from inside the train.

“Good bye tamers. Please come back safe!!!” She yelled as everyone boarded the train before departure.

The train ride was normal as everyone was doing there own thing with their own digimon. Kiba, Wolfy and the newly born Pabumon all sat near the front of the cart.

The train ride was uneventful (for Kiba anyways.) until the train came to a sudden and powerful stop. Disorienting all the passengers on board. “Woah what the heck was that?!” Kiba yelled.

“T-the tracks, they're being destroyed?!” Locomon yelled.

Kiba was about to say something to his fellow tamers until he looked up and saw that (insert whoever wants to go first) had already exited the cart. “Man, this always happens.”

(You may now digivolve into champion level. Just make sure it looks cool. The enemy is currently 1 Drimogemon.)

Robert quickly exited the cart. He saw what basically amounted to was a giant mole with a drill wreaking the track's and stopping them from getting to their destinations. Dorumon got infront of Robert and fired a Dash metal into it's face, luckily it was fur instead of a protein armour shell, so the Drimogemon was staggered by the the metal cannonball impacting the side of the cheeks crying out in pain. The Drimogemon charged at them, but Robert hacked the ground under them causing them to raise it above the charging Drimogemon. Dorumon jumped off with Robert's his arms around his neck holding on to dear life while in midair he yelled out.

{Metal cannon!}

A short pause was made before Doru fired a high speed ball fired into it's back. Causing it to cry out the to cry out in pain as the Doru landed.

"You are really heavy haven't you ever heard of something called the gym."

Doru said to Robert in a very sarcastic tone. However, after he said that the enemy Digimon dug into the ground. Tunneling under it. With Robert and Doru having no clue where he went, until Doru realized where it was going to end up, right under them. Doru head butted Robert out of the way as the mole drilled from the ground before screaming at them in a low grizzly voice.

{Drill crusher!}

Doru was gazed by the attack, but it was still from an attack from a stonger Digimon and a level above him, which caused Doru to sail into the air with red coding spilling from the wound like blood.

"Doru!"

Robert screamed with genuine worry in his voice. Robert hacked the ground raising walls by rewriting the axis of the floor. Robert ran to his partner, lead on his side with a red gash on his of the side of his rib cage. Robert looked grabbed his digivice from left pocket remembering what Norn said about repairing objects, as the Drimogemon started to crumble the fortifications Robert layed out between them.

(Mind if I take the First Digivolution?)

As they were traveling inside the living train Danny noticed that his partner seemed to be upset about something. "What is wrong?" Hirschmon explained what happened between him and Minomon the other day. "And we didn't even get to say goodbye or anything like that. Plus Kiba taking Pabumon along defeated the entire too dangerous part of my reasoning."
Before Danny could say or do anything to cheer Hirschmon up Locomon seemingly hit the emergency-brake due to an attacking Digimon. Once again Dorumon was the first to go on the offensive.

Unlike the small purple dragon Hirschmon decided to stay closer to Locomon in case either more enemies would show up or something happened to endanger the humans and baby Digimon. He still kept an eye on the battle just in case Doru needed help and when he got injured decided to step in. "Swarm Attack." While about half of the small beetle shaped missiles hit their target, they only seemed to annoy Drimogemon and alert him to the presence of other opponents.

Drimogemon angrily dug up a fossil and with a shout of "Crusher Bone" threw it at the second rookie Digimon to attack him that day. Not wanting any of the humans to get hurt Hirschmon didn't even try to dodge, despite the danger. As a result the bone not only pushed him several feet back but also clearly damaged him pretty badly as his chest started to leak out data, though it wasn't quite bad enough to force him to degenerate.
(Fine with me.)

The Drilmogemon turned it's attention to the walls that Robert put up, it could deal with the insect like Digimon later, but it knew that the he could deal with it later, it wanted to finish off the Purple dinosaur and his pal. It lowered it's body and charged at the walls while screaming.

{Drill Crusher!}

One by one the walls came down and Robert knew it, turning away from Doru he faced the direction of the mole like Digimon. He knew he couldn't really do anything. The Digimon would simply crash right though any more walls and with Doru injured he couldn't raise them to the air to avoid him, but he had to do something. He wasn't going to let it hurt his friend. Wow that was a bit uncharacteristic of me, he thought to himself.

Doru opened his eye's to see Robert with his back turn to him. He groaned out in pain as he realized that there was a nasty gash across his ribs. He tried to call out to him, but his voice was drowned out by Drilmogemon crashing right into the stone and dirt fortifications. Not again. He thought to himself he couldn't just lay here as his friend sacrificed himself for him. Just like, Ryudamon. He had to get up he wasn't going to let it hurt his friend.

Robert's Digivice grew hot just like how it did when it first reacted with Dorumon, however instead of changing color, which was good since Robert quite liked the color, the D-terminal's screen opened. On it a line of letters ran across in the letters of the digital world. To Robert he had no idea what it meant, but it was translated into English by the D terminal.

Digivolution.

A torrent of green code spouted from the D-Terminal flowing past Robert and towards the fallen form of Doru surrounding him and a creating layer after layer of green code making an egg like cocoon. A larger and thicker line appeared around the middle of the cocoon and a red hexagon with a golden three pronged crown. Inside the cocoon Doru stood in the middle before all of his outside parts where absorbed into his digicore. Leaving nothing but it and series of line meant to be a virtual skeleton used in computer animation. Green lines of code appeared on the surface of the digicore which absorbed parts of the inside of the cocoon then it reconstructed Doru into his champion form. Doru's voice called out inside the cocoon though he wasn't sure if he was the one taking or how he was talking.

Dorumon digivolve to...

The virtual skeleton of his arms became longer before his digicore filled them in with data revealing that his claws had become more pronounced and a bright red. The legs became more muscular also ending with an enlongated scythe like claws. His tail became less fox like and becoming long and narrow at the tip becoming lizard like instead. The bat like wings on his back was originally a few inches long and was more for decoration than anything, was changed to a full wing span akin to feather less bird. His head became more more fierce with sharp golden eyes and a crown of spikes at the end of his head and his ears became more like thin swords. It resembled a wolf, over his more puppy like face in it's original form. A collar of fur covered the base of his neck and his fur became more compressed together and a darker shade of purple with lightning like streaks of the original shade all over it, with the tips of his paws, mouth, and tail along with the underside of his wing colored white. The same mark that appeared on the cocoon appeared on Dorumon's interface, however, due to the coloring only the crown could be seen. At the end of his transformation, he shouted out the new name of his form.

Dorugamon!

Drilmogemon crashes though the wall hoping to charge in and run over the human and his Digimon, however, three red gashes appear on his back. Screaming out in pain he looks up to the sky to see Dorugamon flying above it, three claws out stretched out, with Robert on the back of Dorugamon. Robert looked at the Digivice which opened up to an app that showed the changes that occurred in between each form and Robert realized exactly how much a Digimon changes once they Digivolve.

Dorugamon, a beast dragon champion level Digimon, it is considered such a heavyweight that most Digimon run from just the sight of it's shadow. Due to the interface it is presumed to be an evolution of a prototype Digimon.

"Well I guess you are not a motorcycle or train, but a dragon is simply much cooler don't you think, Doru?"

Doru gave a grin as best as a purple dragon could.

"Well then time for some payback!"

In a separate car from the rest, the train ride was surprisingly smooth. But even that hadn’t consoled the sheer weight of their responsibilities. There were actually beings whose lives rested on them. Countless and countless numbers of them. In his hands, which hung between his spread legs, rested the Digivice Norn had given them.

He had told himself he was prepared. Reassured himself too-many times that he would experience life and save the Digimons’. But if he was allowing himself to have fun while on this world-shattering mission then was he carrying it out justly? He wasn’t too sure anymore.

Gilt remained silent by his side but just his presence was oddly comforting.

Then a feeling pulled his gaze towards the back of the train, away from the others who gathered ahead. There he saw the scarred face of Liollmon and on his back, Nyaromon rested peacefully. Phase stood up but just as he did the train jostled violently, sending himself and the others in his car careening.

He was toss backwards away from them; Gilt went flying, and Nyaromon and Liollmon’s stability was deteriorating when a sudden and bright blaze flared outside, impacting the Locomon with force and shattering its windows.

Phase came out of his daze only to see Gilt’s white mantle shifting as he leapt out the shattered windows. He gathered himself and ran out too. There he seen it; a orange leather-skinned Digimon just as tall as the Locomon with an oversized arm. In its grasp, oppressed on the hard railways were Liollmon, whose fangs were bared with pain and fury.

“Let him go. Now.” Phase commanded, his hand finding his pockets as they shook.

Kiba looked back at the area near the second car, Seeing the giant yellow digimon have a hold of Liollmon. "Wolfy, I need an attack on that guys arms ASAP!!!"

"ON IT!!! [Blue Blaster!!!]" A stream of fire shot out of Wolfys mouth and was heading for the joint in The giant digimons arm.

"[Hyper Heat!!!]" It yelled as a stream of fire blasted out of its mouth, the two streams of flames collided, equally pushing eachother back.

"Damn, their equal." He said as he took out the digivice. "Cyclonemon, a one eyed champion level dragon man digimon!!! His long arms can stretch like roipe and his mouth can shoot a fiery blast. Be careful!" He said as he read the description. He then looked to Phase. "Hurry and get Gilt to save him! I don't know how long Wolfy will last!!!" He said as he saw his partners blue blaster beginning to waver.

Phase twisted his gaze over to Kiba. Once again the calm-eyed youth came in handy. He shot a thumbs up in the air for Kiba to see, both out of assurance and gratitude. A laser show of blue and rusted orange showered overhead. Him and Gilt was stuck dodging what little plasma was scattering to the ground.

Gilt was suddenly overhead, his claw pulling his mantle around as a shield against a mess Phase hadn't noticed incoming.

Phase would thank him later. In the meantime, he doubled his speed and rushed over to the squirming Liollmon. The Digimon's snarls had turned to roughened, crusty growls. Its captor looked more like leathery tree-trunk than an actual arm. He gripped Liollmon by the golden, thick circlet around its neck. Phase pulled hard once, grunting with effort.

"Gilllllt!" he uncharacteristically screamed. There was a dark feeling gnawing at him now, kicking him into urgency as his energy dipped.

Liollmon's head nudged against him hard. Too hard as if pushing him away. It opened its maw as if to speak but nothing but growls came out.

"Gilllt!" he yelled louder this time. Where are you?

He stood, taking a reprieve before finding Zubamon holding onto Nyaromon's form, who flailed, half-scarred by a plasma splash. N-No, nothing good is going to come from this situation. It dawned on him, very slowly but so strong that it had pinned him to the railway, that something horrid was about to happen.

"Pr-Pr- Zssk!" The voice cracked and fell dead.

Whose voice was that? Whoever it belonged to had grabbed his attention like a gunshot in pure silence. Though it was barely audible in the chaos. He found Liollmon's mouth parted. His voice was so hacked, that he gathered the image of a shattered axe just hearing it. "Pru--uooo-tect..." Liollmon's head pointed towards Nyaromon.

Then time became trapped in a gel. It moved so slow that Phase had not even attempted to move, too stop the quickly rising Liollmon. He was lifted so high, as high as that Digimon's massive arm could go. Then he was slammed faster than should have been allowed into the railway. A sickened, meaty squish! resounded. And no sooner than when it ended, did Phase find his voice.

"NOOO!"

He raised to his feet, so much rage bottled up that he had to shield himself from the red he saw. When he opened his eyes, he felt himself scowling so very hard. "I'm going to gut you." he snarled now, unfeeling to the now burning sensation in his pocket. A shrill ringing cut the air, a bright light fell over his form. Then Gilt glowed just as bright, until only their shine was illuminating the world.

Dorugamon and Robert saw Cyclonemon attacking the others rather they couldn't have missed him. They looked at the Digimon that was attacking the others, but they could deal with it after. The other members on their team weren't that weak, they could take care of themselves, at least until they dealt with the Drilmogemon, at least that's what they thought. The Cyclonemon raised it mutated arm and with in it was Liollmon. For a moment they were silent as they realized that Kiba wasn't the only one that brought a Digimon from the castle, there were two others that came with Phase.

"Doru-"

Robert said, but before Doru understood what he was going to say and rushed towards the Cyclonemon. With their speed and flight they could get there just in time and slash open the ugly mutant hand, they could catch him and get him out of harms way. They could save him... If there were no other outside interference that is...

{Crusher Bone}

The Drilmogemon threw a fossil at the pair. Due to focusing on the Cyclonemon they were hit and sent spiraling out of control, Doru recovered just before hey hit the ground, but it was to late and all Robert saw was an arm on a red bloody ground.

Robert realized something, he was angry. He was angry at the Digimon that killed Liollmon, he was angry at the Digimon that prevented them from saving him, he was angry at Kiba for bring in a defenseless Digimon endangering it for no reason, he was angry Phase for allowing them to come with them, he was angry at himself for not being able to do anything, and finally he was angry at their entire group for being arrogant. They should have left the Digimon back at the castle they should have let them into their battle! This was their fault! They were arrogant, they thought they could take care of whatever was in the way! They thought that they were heroes going on a road trip of adventure and fun, but this was not that. They weren't heroes they weren't in a comic book, they were in a war. Robert clenched his Digivice, however, sudden shouting broke him his thoughts.

"Robert!"

Doru shouted at him causing him to flinch. Doru continued.

"Calm down! Listen up Liollmon's core is still intact, it takes more to destroy a Digicore, trust me I know, but we need to get to him before Ugly over there devours it."

Robert was silent. It wasn't time to be sitting around, it was time to fight!

"Right, but we can't get to him without getting though land narwhal over there."

Robert's worry was answered by a glow coming from the area. He didn't want to admit it, but the Masked Kid would be dealing with it. They just need to be focused on the molerat.

"Doru, let's let him handle that, we should be dealing with our pest problems."

Doru went wideyed for a moment.

"Are you sure?"

Robert nodded. Not believing that he was actually going to say this.

"Let's trust him on this."

With that Doru went into a drive before readying his claws.

{Dino Tooth!}

Doru slashed the Drilmogemon across the back once again, leaving a series of x shaped scars like a well cooked steak. Doru came back around and slashed it across the face and then did another turn and across the ribs, before firing a cannonball into the side of his face.

The Drilmogemon was sent staggering back after the cannonball struck his face.

When he saw Hirschmon get knocked back Danny rushed over to his partner, not wanting the beetle to get hurt any worse. Normally his feelings might have been enough to trigger Digivolution, but he was also completely sure that Dorugamon could handle another Champion on his own. Danny thought back to what happened to Kuwagamon after he was defeated and felt relieved that Hirschmon, despite leaking code, didn't start flickering. "You're gonna be fine, I think." If he had noticed the second attacker Danny would be even less sure of how Hirschmon was doing, especially since Cyclomon seemed to be after Digicores.

Thanks to Dorugamon yelling that Liollmon's core was still intact he picked up on the presence of the Dragonman at the back of Locomon. Danny's confidence that they were gonna be alright dropped significantly as he doubted that the Champion on their side could handle both opponents, and he wasn't too sure about Wolfy and Gilt defeating what he presumed a Champion on their own.

Ignoring the risk of causing further damage he dragged Hirschmon back inside. "What are you doing? I have to help them." At first Danny's thought was to tell the injured Digimon that he was in no condition to fight but he didn't think Hirschmon would take that too well, though he did stop pulling. "In that case stick to ranged attacks, you're not going to be much help otherwise right now."

"No, no no no no no!!!" Kiba yelled as he saw the data leave Liollmons body. Kiba fell to his knees in shock I have captured your knight. A foreign voice said as Kiba looked at Liollmons core. My plan ... failed. My plan didn't work. I messed up. I got a piece killed. I'm gonna lose. IT'S CHECKMATE AND I'M GONNA LO-

"OI KIBA SNAP OUT OF IT!!!" Wolfys voice called out to him as a bright light began to cover Gilt. "Kiba, give me an order dammit." He said as he shook Kiba out of his thought.

"U-um yeah. UH, Wolfy, secure the digicore. We have to get that out of the way before Gilt and Cyclonemon fight."

Wolfy nodded before rushing forward, the liught from gilt stunning the cyclonemon providing him cover as he grabbed the digicore before running back to Kiba. "Got it." He said as the light around Gilt began to fade.

"Good, now provide long range support for Gilt. It looks like he's ready to fight." Kibas voice was shaky as he said that, the light dimming enough to reveal Gilt.
