@Fury Panda I figured. It'd be hard to not notice some huge 400-foot tall monster when looking out a window, especially if it just happened to bust one of these windows and pull a human through it with its claws alone.

But, yeah. My key thoughts on it are a few things:

1, if it was a huge monster, we probably couldn't beat it.

2, if it could fly, we might be able to fight it, but the likelihood of the group actually surviving and none of them getting kicked off the train is like... Zero.

3, if it's grounded on the train, then the group can knock it off to the city below for a slightly easier win. Maybe it crashes into a building before the Dream Hour ends, and when the group arrives they end up seeing the damage. The most logical thing in my mind.

But @Fury Panda could also throw us for a loop. Who knows!
