The Unstoppables! Premiere superheroes of the Fallout Universe's comic books, The Unstoppables are are force to be reckoned with, Their lineup includes the spectacular Grognak, Manta Man, The Inspector, The Mistress of Mystery, and of course, The Silver Shroud!

Hey, so, this is an idea I had that inspired me to come back to RP Guild after a bit of a hiatus. I haven't fleshed out terribly many details as of yet, but here's the gist -- Fallout Universe, in and around the Commonwealth area, just after the time of the Sole Survivor(we can discuss which ended was chosen in the posts below). Every character would be a superhero of some kind -- you can choose a 'canon' Unstoppable like Grognak or Shroud, a 'non-canon' one like Nuka Girl or Vault Boy, or even make your own if you can manage to keep in with the sort of 'theme' Fallout creates for The Unstoppables. We'd probably travel across the Commonwealth, solving problems where need be, and taking down tyrants, damn it. Maybe we'd vacation in Nuka World.

As far as 'superpowers' go, I'm a little on the fence. There is precedent in lore for them, ala Mama Murphy, but whether or not I allow characters to have them really depends on the mood of the group, and if I do, they probably won't be frightfully powerful.

So... How about it? Superheroes in the Fallout Universe. Lemme know if you're interested!

Sign me up for this. I'd prefer the Institute ending, just so that there's still a prevalent threat in the Commonwealth, instead of having an ensemble cast of superheroes help old ladies across the road. The BoS ending could work for this too (don't @ me BoS fans), though it might be more of a "vive la révolution" thing.

Mama Murphy isn't the only psychic in the series. The Ant did have the ability to communicate with animals. In F2 there are beings who can speak with beast. So on and so forth.

Can't forget The Forecaster from Fallout: New Vegas! It might hurt to use his powers, but hell he got paid decently for them.

Might be interested in going for a blonde-wig wearing Super Mutant Grognak that is totally obsessed with the series of comics.

Interested. Have a char sheet idea? Thinking of being "Big Iron". He will be dressed as a Desert Ranger armor(Like the Vet Ranger armor with the green lenses and Desert camo.).

@Mara Yeah, after taking some time to ponder, I think it'll be The Institute ending. However, with their Elder dead, and incredibly valuable airship destroyed, larger groups of the Brotherhood are coming for retribution.

@Raddum That'd be awesome, dude! A lot of Fallout roleplays that I've seen don't let Super Mutant characters fly, but this sounds radical.

@Cairo Glad to have you!

@Thecrash20 Sounds great.

Probably wanna wait for at least a couple more before I post an OOC. How do we all feel about the inclusion of superpowers? What kinds of powers do we want to allow, if we allow them at all? Only stuff that's been seen in game or do we want to open it up a little more?

Which is something I'll never understand, as they've always fit into the main wastelander society of Fallout. Some of my favorite characters from the series are Super Mutants (Marcus, Fawkes, Marcus even more when he comes back in New Vegas... Can't forget Grandma Lilly.) and I feel like there's wasted potential there in a lot of roleplays.

As far as actual superpowers go, I'm not against it. Though I do think it'd also be hilarious if some "powers" weren't actually a power, but rather an abuse of in-lore technology.

Like a guy with the power to go invisible might have a tampered Stealth Boy, or something. Allowing him to stay invisible for longer periods.

I wonder if you'd allow me to bring in a Beastlord. I have one that I made for another Fallout RP, and the GM vanished and never got it going.

Like Raadum mentioned I think they shouldn't be "Powers" just special items that we abuse on the regular. Like the Stealthboy example and I was thinking for my Char a Revolver that is the most accurate when fired from the hip. All old western duel pose.

I'd like to change my opinion to that there should be powers if we're these legendary Characters or we can have an Item that explains it too.

see and the powers in Fallout were extremely limited in the first place. Mama Murphy dies of OD due to her powers.

Technically, she dies because some asshole Sole Survivor encouraged her drug addiction instead of convincing her to get clean.

I'm assuming this is basically going to be Wasteland Whisperer/Animal Friend taken to a new level.

I like that idea.

Yes. I made the original character for a RP set sort of around Fallout 4 year, so I rewrote some lore of the beastlords. They were such an interesting chance for their own revival in F3 or even F4 and it was never brought up. It's one of my favorite factions in the older games and decided to bring them back in my own way.

@Thecrash20 That is largely what I was thinking most characters would have, though I don't really consider that a 'power' in the typical sense, y'know? I guess in terms of powers I was more thinking of like, super strength, super speed type deals for certain characters. Like, Grognak just straight up wouldn't work if he wasn't super strong, or a Supermutant as the case may be in this RP.

On top of that, I think every character kind of has to have something special about them, whether it's a piece of gear that only they really know how to use, insane physical attributes, or specialized training of some kind, because without that, they're not really Superheroes, are they? At that point, they're just dudes in costumes waiting to get geeked.

@AngelofOctober I can picture it now. THE ANIMAL FRIEND!

@Burning Kitty Glad to have you, Shroud!

Also, in terms of characters, it might be neat to have someone be The Mechanist or the AntAgonizer or something. Just a random thought.

@Mara Well, yeah, but I didn’t imagine most of our characters dying at the hands of random raiders that turn out to be just as skilledas they are.

Interesting thought I had. What if the Silver Shroud was like Colossus from X-Men and could turn his/her skin into Silver?
