Minor Heal only heals a little bit of damage at a time. It helps with nasty scrapes, cuts, and bruises, but couldn’t do much for a broken bone or a deep tissue laceration.

Most of the analysis skills will take some focus to use--I know I kinda threw them out there like they were automatic passives, but I tried to only do that when the player mentioned "watching the others from a distance" or otherwise seemed to be actively thinking about the mechanics of something or doing the associated action, like Ash's Alchemy. In the midst of a battle, using an analysis skill would basically take up your "turn." In other words, just seeing something once isn't enough to learn about it unless you're also taking the time and effort to really examine it.

@Zeroth ok, that makes sense. So it's not automatic you actually have to make an effort to observe the spell.

A related question. Does observing a spell with Magic Analysis make it easier to learn that spell yourself? In fact is it even possible to learn another creatures spells? I'd completely understand if you didn't want Pixie's learning Mana Bolt since it would take away from what Wisps are known for.

Magic Analysis does make it easier to learn the spell, but only in the same way that understanding of a subject makes further study of that subject easier. You won't automatically learn a spell by analyzing it.

You CAN learn other spells from any creature or, later on, maybe even any "class." The EFFECTIVENESS of those spells, however, and several other factors, will determine how useful those spells are to you and your "role." For instance, Jason the Slime has learned Stone Shot. A Slime doesn't have as much MP as a Wisp, so Jason can only use Stone Shot twice before he runs out. A Wisp that learned that same skill/spell, however, would be able to use it 3 times because they have more MP. However, Stone Shot itself is weaker than Mana Orb and requires that one actually has a stone in their inventory to shoot. So the functionality of the spell might depend on whether or not you're in an environment where stones can be easily acquired.

It's just like real life--you can learn any skill you put your mind to even if you're not "naturally talented" at it. But Bruce Lee does not fear the man who knows 10,000 kicks. He fears the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times. And he'd probably shit his pants at the guy who has practiced one kick 10,000 times in 10,000 different applications.

I understand the concept but I'm going to disagree with you when it comes to support classes. As someone who is likely not going to be fighting on the front lines, I want the most varied toolbox of 'kicks' that I can get, while also practicing the most useful ones a couple thousand times. Also, as a man with 0 kicks, I feel I should at least learn the most basic one.

Right now, the level of power wouldn't be too different between a slime and a wisp. But more magically focused creatures would obviously gain passives like "Magic Damage Boost" or something over time as well as raw stat changes, so yes certain creatures would be more powerful with the same spells even if they also had the same MP pool.

As for varying your toolbox and such, that's perfectly viable too! Raw power, versatility, specialties...any and every option, within reason, will be available!

By sheer coincidence I finished reading the mange version of That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime and startred the mange of I'm a Spider, So What today. Also the death is based on something I went through, though nothing as dark as what I used here, and in either September or October this year I will be cancerfree for 5 years

Goals: Danny has only two goals and one of them is more secondary. He wants to live a long life and if possible somehow get a body that is immune to all diseases and poisons.

Past Life:Despite being better suited to become a Goblin this former handyman/gardener choose to become a Wisp. His reasoning while flawed and mostly subconscious was simple. As a being of energy his new "body" was unlikely to be ravaged by the disease that claimed his life once already.

As a human Danny's life was mostly average, he wasn't a great student or super popular but he did okay at school and had a few friends. Still not coming from a rich family he dropped out after college and looked for a job.

A couple of years later a routine check-up revealed he had lymphoma though the doctors were confident that they found it in time. At first it seemed they were right and that he had made a full recovery, but during a post treatment check up it turned out the cancer spread to his brain and most likely fatal. Mot wanting to go through chemo again, and even with little hope of survival, he choose to simply kill himself.
Abilities:

• Mana Orb: a simple blast of magic. At the moment it only does as much damage as a strong punch on average, unless the enemy is weak to magic. As it gets stronger it becomes a generic, non elemental energy blast.
• Lesser Force: like telekinesis, but only at arm’s length, and it isn't very strong. A Wisp could use it to pick up food, but not to throw a heavy rock, for example.
• Levitation: allows the user to float about three feet off the ground continuously. To rise higher requires effort equivalent to physical climbing, and the Speed is never faster than a brisk walk

Appearance: Just over a foot and a half when standing, Mei is far less intimidating than the typical Dire Rat. Her dull umber fur appears to be shorter than most, but remains coarse and unkempt. What makes Mei easier to identify would be her left eye. Although cloud-like in opacity, she suffers no impairment in vision from it.

Goals: To conquer the world

Past Life:
Mei's history begins in a small urban area of the Fujian province in China. Her parents were tailors that ran a small business in a small town, and were just two plain faces among the billion more worn by the citizens of the same country. It had seemed that Mei would be thrust into a life of mediocrity that would plague him for her entire life. After all, she was not physically strong or large, and though her teachers had always considered him an exceptionally gifted child, it was not nearly enough to save him from her banal existence. Yet fate works in mysterious ways. In many aspects, being born into such an average life let him bare the fruit of her talents - at a very young age she learned that she yearned more; more of everything - power, wealth, influence. Ambition burned inside him, and at the age of twelve she ran away from home.
 
But how was a young boy like him, weak, alone, and talentless supposed to conquer the world on ambition alone? After living like a rat on the streets for several months, the answer came to him while watching a local gang terrorize a nearby shop owner. Power and strength were nothing but an illusion. Life was such that there is always someone stronger, or faster, or smarter. Knowledge and information was where true power lied, and if you didn't have that then all you needed was to seem that you did. And so, ten years of lying, cheating, and blackmailing her way through an imperfect system of government, she, as young as she was, found herself in charge of the heart of the local criminal underworld. But there had to be more, even she recognized that all her hard work only made him a big fish in a small pond. She needed to learn more, but alas, a bullet through the skull had ended her life.
