Maybe, just maybe you should research the source material/inspiration base before jumping to conclusions! No, Konosuba isn’t an “unexpected” or “off the rails”. If you took its comedy writing and isekai concept away from it, it’s just a stock anime about a fantasy world that is a little whimsical and light-hearted.

It's honestly not all that difficult to watch the first few minutes of episode two of the series to get the approach, tone, and style that Hero uses as the core of their concept. If you are joining something you owe the creator enough to see where they are coming from beyond the premise. That's just my perspective on it, tho.

The setting is fantasy, so no superpowers per se as everything is 'cause A Wizard Did It (aka magic).
