That's the idea actually yeah. She's caught half way. She'll never live anywhere near as long as an Elf, but will live far longer than a human. The idea is that she's currently 87, but physically about 30, aging about 1/3rd of the human rate. If that's all good then I'll post the CS in a bit

I should stress that Mergoux, while renowned to some extent, is much more of a local legend than someone known world-wide. Hopefully this'll all work out with what lore goes on here and we can keep it rolling effectively and enjoyably!

@Strange Rodent I didn't really mean it'd cut through it, me mentioning cutting was a mistake on my part. It should dent the hell out of it, though, right? Cause axes, especially long axes, crush as well as cut.

I just realized that entering through the north gate is probably gonna be a pain in the ass, isn't it? First the hellish landscape, then a heavily fortified gate just one week after a siege? Sounds like a fun time. Like going through Hell just to find out they've got TSA down there too, just on the way out instead of on the way in.

@Strange Rodent True, but depends on the type of axe doesn't it? Some seem like you'd practically be beating them with a stick. A thick stick, granted, but a stick nonetheless.

@ArkmageddonCat A claymore would be more effective for armor crushing. Only show claymores had sharp edges.

Given the time skip, Skurr's injury will likely be manageable. That is to say, he'll be up and about. Though, he won't be at his best. Things are chaotic on my end, in real life, and my future plans for Skurr had centered on Cassius and the Princess. I'll have to... rethink things before I try to post again. Those who were passingly acquainted with Skurr or who would at least take note of his condition during that week could do me a favor by adding their character's perspectives on him.

Those perspectives, as far as I can tell right now, could possibly include: references to the way he fought as related by witnesses, descriptions of him experiencing delirium and surviving infection, general knowledge about his conduct and competence before the siege by others related to the fishing industry.

Most Axes are constructed using an eye, so there should be steel on every side of the axe. If you strike with the steel on the rear side, it'll hit hard, as it will be carrying the same amount of momentum

I dunno how Annabeth personally feels about Skurr beyond the fact she acknowledges he fought against the invaders, but if it matters she could seek him out for this monster hunt. Being a fisherman good with throwing spears, he'd be perfect as a mobile hunter in the swamps around the fire-fens.

@Zaphander Actually, of all of the Player Characters, she would have been in the best position to see his skills in action since he and she fought at the same gate. While she was concentrating on her own battle, I doubt that she had such tunnel vision as to make her blind to the number of enemies that were felled from behind or diverted to the wall by Skurr's attacks. Also, what is only barely seen in the heat of the moment can be recalled more vividly, and in greater clarity, in hind-sight.

The last she would have seen of him would have been him fleeing along the wall in the company of two guardsmen and pursued by several of the enemy. Under those conditions, she likely would have not held out much hope for his survival. The fact that he lived might be enough to bring him to mind when she's thinking of hunting partners, to say nothing of his skills and profession which you have already mentioned.

Just to let you know, Hawk is not in Tamberle when he's recruiting people to fight the orcs; he's been recalled back to the northern part of the kingdom to fight against the rebels and other threats. Tamberle is located to the far south, if Derra didn't skip town during the timeskip.

@Haeo Mmh, unfortunately El can't really contribute to having seen Skurr in action since she arrived after the battle, but I could say that she saw a little of him while volunteering at the chapel if you want?
