Ah, New Bark Town-- a town where the wind blows and tells of impending change. The lot of us have lived here for what seems like forever; we've outgrown our humble homes and have decided to spread our eager wings at last. It's time for us to leave our nests and depart for a brave new world. Johto's much safer than it was before, y'know. Team Rocket's nothing more than a legend, a fab that came and went. Sure, there's word of a band of hooligans that cause trouble here and there, but there always seems to be something up with someplace no matter where you go.
So, this is our story. It's a tale of determination and perseverance, adventure and intrigue, friendship and love, jealousy and betrayal, and lust and ambition. While we might remain together for our journey, not all of us have the same goals in mind. Some may want to strive to become Champion, while others might want to settle for becoming coordinators or rangers. No matter what happens, we'll stick by each other's side until the end. At least, that's the plan.
This roleplay focuses on a group of longtime friends from New Bark Town in the Johto region. They've all decided to leave home and explore the country, hopefully finding their purpose at the same time. With both friends and Pokemon at their side, they seek to make their mark in the world, no matter how big or small that mark may be. However, this journey will not be all sunshine and rainbows. These characters are no longer children, and thus their dreams of success may differ entirely from one another. Yes, some may want to be famous trainers, Champions, even coordinators-- but others might fall under bad influence. Contrary to popular belief, Johto really isn't a safe place. Newly formed gangs have been terrorizing green Pokemon trainers and journeymen as they travel from town to town, even going so far as to kill them or hold them hostage for money. And yet, something far more insidious lurks beneath the surface...

1) First and foremost, do not ghost. If you need to step away from the roleplay for one reason or another, let us know.
2) You must be accept both in the IC and OOC. I enjoy banter with my roleplayers, along with plotting ships, silly escapades, and so forth. I don't like it when people are silent; if they are, I get the sense that they either don't care about the roleplay or aren't having fun. Posting frequencies should also be once to twice a week.
3) I prefer high-quality roleplayers with high-quality characters. I'm not asking for novels for posts or wonderful literary prowess, though I don't want to have an aneurysm when I read your replies. Please, take your time in crafting good characters and decent posts.
4) You begin with two Pokemon maximum. You are not allowed to choose evolved Pokemon, psuedolegendary evolutionary lines, legends, or shinies, or fossils. Those may come later.
5) You may only begin with one character. These starting characters must all have spent a couple of years in New Bark. They do not have to have been born or raised there. These friends have been together for about three or four years.
6) Characters are expected to be around eighteen to twenty five years old. It just makes sense, cause they're supposed to be friends and all. Take into consideration that Johto is based on a Japanese region when creating characters.
7) You cannot make enemy characters. That's for later on.
8) Fill out all portions of the sheet. Please do this. It's there for a reason. You may also add color to the sheet and format it however you so wish.
9) Most importantly, have fun! I prefer if my fellow roleplayers were having an equal amount of fun all across the board. If you're bored or want to move on, please let us know. Communication is key.
