PROFILES & THREADS

A.k.a. how to get shit going.

To get started on the Guild, you'll want to do two things after registering a profile. The first thing is creating a thread in the Introduce Yourself section, a visual of which has been provided below. Simply click on the section and then click 'New Topic'. Write what you want, within reason, and then post.

The second step is setting an avatar for your profile. This can be done by clicking on your profile, in the upper right corner of your screen, just to the left of the logout button and then clicking edit. This will take you to a sort of 'behind-the-scenes' type area where you can change various things such as your nickname and signature. For the time being, however, you will simply scroll down till you find a section that says 'Edit Avatar'. Upon arriving at this section, click on 'Choose File', select a suitable image from your PC and open it, then click the 'Save Avatar' button.

Once this is done you can simply return to your profile and carry on with your day.

And, as always, a visual has been provided below.

Oh, and one more thing, making an avatar is VITAL if you want to be able to create a bio on your profile. It is required along with making an introduction thread, so do keep that in mind.

EDITING

A.k.a. how to get your shit fixed once it's got.

While editing a post is very simple, some newcomers to the site may still run into trouble every now and then. As such I've made this addition to the guide in order to help the aforementioned individuals get a better grasp of the basics of the Guild. For the purposes of this demonstration we shall be using Mr. Trollge. Our friendly neighborhood, and definitely not psychopathic antichrist from outer realms unknown, memer.

Now to get started, you'll want to make sure you've already made a post somewhere or other on the forum. Be this in an introduction thread, roleplay thread, etc. Once you have, simply return to that post and look in the lower right-hand corner for a series of three buttons. These are--from left to right--Edit, Quote, and @Mention. Those last two are useful but irrelevant to the scope of this tutorial, so we'll just focus on the Edit button for now.

Obviously you'll want to click it, as shown in the handy visual aid below.

With that done, you should see a box somewhat similar to the one you'd usually make new posts in pop up where your post just was, only this time it should show the contents of the post you want to edit as demonstrated below.

Once you've reached this point simply make your edits and click save.

That's it, you're done, and so is this most recent of additions to the guide.
