Favorite is Thanksgiving and that's 100% a fault of my grandmother. Since I was born, she has hosted every year and while I'm far from the most comfortable person in any public gathering, even if it's a gathering of my family members, the food is always amazing and the joyful atmosphere is nice to just kind of exist in. However, these past few years have been hitting me differently. It becomes less about seeing my family and eating great food and more about the fact that even as the wonderful elderly woman that she is, grandma still insists on helping to prepare. To better put this in perspective, I still receive cards from her every Birthday, but a few years ago her handwriting had begun to fail and this year was the first I received that was typed. I love her very much and have become acutely aware that one day, I'll be eating Thanksgiving dinner somewhere else.

My least favorite is New Years. I'm sorry but today is about to be tomorrow and I have to work in a few hours. Please let me sleep. Also I'm broke now because Christmas just happened and the lights just came down. Didn't we just do this?

What is the most expensive meal you've ever paid for and was it worth the price?

Most expensive meal was when I took my friends (Who are all completely broke) out to eat at the restuarant I work at. Great time, great food and the server was cracking jokes with me all night. Overall I'd say it was worth it but at the time seeing the check was like a dagger to the heart.

What was the closest you think you've ever been to death?

about 11 years ago. i drank way to much water and use it as mouth wash because at the time i was dealing with a bad dental issue and cold water calm down the nerve i did that for 36 hours straight no eating. I went to bed and i woke up in the hospital my mom told me i almost bit my tongue off. i had seizure so bad i crash my hip bone so bad they had to put it back together like it was a puzzle.

I was like 12 years old playing Wii bowling with the rest of my family, and like many other prepubescent children, had far too much energy and couldn't sit still. This led to me screwing around too close to the TV, getting told to back up, backing up, and then tripping over my dog, and landing wrist first, and breaking my Radius.

TL;DR I broke my arm playing Wii bowling.

What is the weirdest thing you do or believe (that you're willing to share with the class) ?

I dress up as a pirate for Halloween and I have every year since I was 14. When I do this, I method act and remain in character until the sun rises the next morning. During university, I met and hit it off with a girl, as a pirate, and her in costume too. After we parted for the night, she acknowledged that she would never recognize me out of costume on campus. We could run into each other a dozen times and never know. We decided that it was best that way...

What was the most embarrassing thing you've ever (intentionally) said to someone?

Typing this out hurts me physically. Maybe emotionally too.

I recently read a reprint of the stephen king book 'the body' which that old movie 'stand by me' was based on.

I'll admit.... it wasn't that bad. It was a decent read.

What movie do you wish was never made and why?

Toxic fanboy alert: the entire Star Wars sequel trilogy. I grew up a massive Star Wars nerd. I lived and breathed Star Wars and was incredibly excited for bold new content, but the end product was just so tonally 'off' and so lacking in a sense of wonder that it actually turned me away from the IP for a few years until the Mandalorian reeled me (somewhat) back in. I distinctly remember the feeling of sitting there in a cinema in Shanghai with my popcorn and just having a moment where I thought, "wow, this is actually not that good. I don't really care at all." I actually haven't even watched the thing that they call Episode IX when the idea that I wouldn't see a mainline SW film the night it came out was once inconceivable.

What's a place you're interested in visiting that you think almost nobody else would be?

I was struggling to pick a place open to the public so I hope this answer doesn't disappoint. I'd like to one day visit my father's house and see how things are going there.

Black Friday, because fuck a pseudo-holiday to consumerism, quite frankly. It'd also force marketers to be a tad more creative.

will since I just found out a rumor I heard growing up is actually true. I think I would go back in time before my mom had me and make sure she did not take any diet pills or do anything that would cause harm or me being born disabled. because i am like one in 20 people in the world with a odd brittle bone disorder
