NAME: Miguel Trejo

AGE: 38

BACKGROUND: Miguel had a pretty troubled childhood, living with his alcoholic father and drug addicted mother. Being abused mentally, psychically, and emotionally by his parents. Quickly finding comfort in his criminal friends. Soon committing various crimes that got him into juvie. But this didn't deter him from continuing his criminal life. Finding himself imprisoned for armed robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon. During his time in prison, he found god and tried to turn a new leaf.

Being released from prison for good behaviour, he started his training in becoming a priest. Living in an apartment, the only memento of his family was his grandfather's trench knife. Miguel started a relationship with a woman named Janet Karris. Although this relationship soon ended because Miguel could not further his relationship with the woman.

Miguel tried his best to help the sick and dying at the start of the disaster. Escaping from the hospital once the sick had overrun the building. Currently living his life by helping people as best he could. Teaching the lessons of the bible, to those who want salvation.

I'm still not 100% sold on the karate thing. Even if she covers herself in her racing leathers as a way of defense/protection, she'll likely struggling with the heat instead as the months roll on in the RP. Summer in Virginia Beach is supposed to be hot and humid, with temperatures close to high 80s Fahrenheit. Additionally, I feel it'll probably be uncomfortable wearing the same outfit constantly, both in terms of cleanliness and general comfortableness due to wearing leather racing gear all day. Considering how central this is to the character, I think I'll have to decline Flea.

Personally, I'm hesitant to accept because of his background. Biographies such as his tend to lead to edgy-like characters that the player(s) try write being all rough and tough. But considering you wrote in that Trejo is trying to turn a new leaf, I think I'll give him a chance here.

NAME: Jon'Deaux "JD" Jones

AGE: 28

WEAPON(s): Tire Iron and a large chain with several padlocks on the end of it (for long distance head bashing)

BACKGROUND: JD is a mechanic and has been since the age of 10. Having never known his mother or father, he grew up in a run-down orphanage on the wrong side of town. I could go into all the ways life has screwed JD over, but really there's no need to. JD adopts an almost insane level optimism when it comes to any situation, and if you were to ask him about his past, he wouldn't talk about how hungry and cold and dirty he was all of the time, he would talk about Marlon.

Marlon was the hopeless lover of Ms. Patti, the orphanage owner. He would visit almost every day to bring the lady flowers, candies, toys - anything he could get his hands on to make her happy. He even brought her JD after finding the newborn baby wrapped in a dirty blanket and thrown in the dumpster next to his mechanic shop. Every day since that day, Marlon made it his sole responsibility to ensure that JD grew up to be an upstanding young man. Though never officially adopting the boy, he was the one who gave JD his name, and gave JD a home after he turned 18 and could no longer stay with Ms. Patti. Marlon also gave JD his job and was teaching the boy about cars and machinery as soon as he was old enough to hold a wrench.

JD's family - Marlon, Patti, all of the orphanage kids - is the only thing that means anything to him. He dedicated his life to giving back to his community, the people that raised him when no one would. After watching them all get torn apart by zombies during the onset of the apocalypse, he hasn't been the same. He was at the orphanage with Marlon when it happened, helping Patti feed the younger children. Even though he wasn't able to save everyone, he was able to escape and find refuge in the old car shop.

He's spent most of the apocalypse in Marlon's shop, isolated and growing crazier by the day, but recently he's run out of food and places to loot. With nowhere left to go, he sets sights towards the city. But JD is hardly the person he was before, who would be? These days, he's skittish and paranoid, more likely to run than fight, but not afraid - or unable - to stand his ground. He was gentle once, but the scar cleaving his face in two, straight down the middle of his left eye, is a reminder of why he no longer trusts others.

It's crazy how simply writing a character profile can make you fall head over heels for a character who's name you didn't even know an hour ago.

NAME: Alena Sokolová

AGE: 22

BACKGROUND: Born in Olomouc, Czech Republic, Alena's biological parents died in a flood when she was four years old and she was adopted by a gamekeeper and a butcher. Her adoptive father's vocation led her to the outdoors and heavily influenced her decisions regarding her future, eventually leading to enrolling in a bachelor’s gamekeeping program at the Mendel Universty in Brno at 21.

In 2010, Alena got the opportunity to take a semester abroad, choosing the United States. She was out on a three-day deer hunt in the woods of New York with one of her professors, Dr. Mason, when the outbreak happened. Despite having ran out of supplies by the end of their planned outing, which the apocalypse had extended indefinitely, the two promptly turned around and fled back into the woods, reasoning that avoiding cities would be a safer bet and set out South where winters would be more easily survivable.

Trekking across New York, Pennsylvania and clipping the edge of Maryland, staying out of the way and only approaching smaller settlements to resupply, they eventually found themselves in Virginia when their luck turned away. With their medical supplies slowly depleted over the months, and after a bout of ilness left them dangerously low on water, they reluctantly decided to enter Virginia Beach in hopes of restocking on specialized supplies the small towns either didn't have or that had been picked clean by others. This unfortunate decision led to the death of Dr. Mason at the hands - well, teeth - of the infected, leaving her to find her own way out of the city.
