Yes, I am making an Elden Ring thread. Why? I dunno, maybe cause I need to talk about my builds or the current meta. But the video-game thread is too broad for this cause I just want to talk Elden Ring or just souls games in general. Anyway, I think I'll slap a fancy multiplayer password any schmuck can use in the title so ya goofs can play together or some shit. Or invade people, it makes no difference to me. Lol

I beat it and did a second playthrough, though I didn't finish that one. Great game, but I'm really waiting on some actual DLC. I did a str/end build first time, and dex/int the second.

My first was a Dex/Fai, now I'm going outside my comfort zone and trying Str/Int with emphasis on Int.

Great game. I stopped playing when I hit Godskin Duo because it just sounds like a huge pain in my ass.

But definite GOTY. Had a great time playing it and I'll probably pick it up and finish the play through off. Maybe go NG+ once DLC comes out.

I hope Elden Ring inspires some more games like it. That first play through exploring around and gradually figuring out how to survive bullshit is quite the experience.

I found myself caught in the Glow Shrimp Mining Cave (that's not its actual name but if you've been there, especially early on, you know what I mean) and figuring out how to get through it was quite the journey.

I found my favorite way to play was to venture into areas where everything could fuck me up quick and see how far in I could get. Ended up by the bridge to Radaghan where all those dogs and knights are fighting. And the Caelid Divine Tower. Those guys stole my lunch money so many times.

The one cave system in the north of the lake area. With the vampires. Oooooooooo I went in there way too low level. Good fun.

I played the game as a high int/dex spell sword using carian greatsword and stuff which would be notable other than as soon as I got the dark moon greatsword I respecced to use that and my spells and pretty much cheesed the fuck out of the game with weapon arts and magic. I was gonna try out a strength/faith build since I never even found Goldmask or that storyline in my playthrough but then I didn't and haven't played it since.

I stopped playing due to going through a backlog of other games but have plans to return to it again after figuring I'd do a type of RP build of Siegmeyer/Siegward. Dub them as Siegreed. Then a few other RP type builds that I might just implement into the various other builds I need to rework a little after the various updates. Think last build I was working on used fist weapons.

Heavy Caestus would be fun. Or just like Heavy Lordsworn Sword and Brass Shield. Full tryhard knight.
