Reddo picked up the man's arms while Angelo grabbed his legs. You could tell Angelo was angry, Reddo understood why. There was innocent people in that building and we still don't know if any got hurt. If any did Angelo will probably snap and do something bad. Reddo was happy the man was out cold, She wasn't in the mood to mess with anybody right now. Reddo began to think of random things and remembered Ed in the corner of the hideout. He looked pretty upset. Wasn't he on a plane or something Reddo though to herself. She thought she remembered Ed saying something about needing a plane ticket to go some where. Reddo was about to ask Angelo but decided now wasn't the best time.

Angelo and Reddo finally arrived back at the hideout, Angelo wanted to take him down into the tunnels for interrogation. Reddo thought it was a good idea. Nobody could her his screams if they had to cause him pain. Then Reddo remembered, they hadn't searched him. When arriving in the tunnels she began to dig through his tattered clothes. There wasn't much, only a tome. She handed the tome to Angelo, "Here, he won't be needing this right now. We don't want him to do anything tricky and try to get out of the ropes he was tied with." Reddo knew that he his tome probably caused the explosion. He couldn't just sneak a whole bunch of C4 or gas tanks in there.

Reddo pulled up some chairs. The tunnels were small but they were roomy enough to have chairs and a table. She then poured herself a glass of tea, she got the tea when she went up the stairs to get the chairs and table. She offered Angelo a cup but he turned her down, Reddo knew he wasn't in the mood for any drink other then maybe some alcohol. Now they waited for the man's eyes to open.

Ed saw Angelo and reddo drag a guy in to a tunnel. "Hay you guys" Ed said to them, but they were gone. Ed went after them to figure out what was going on. He finally caught up with them. They had the guy tied to a chair out cold. “Umm what’s going on with this guy” Ed asked.

“Interrogating him for blowing up innocent people” reddo said.

Ed was about to ask what she meant when the guys eyes snapped open.
“Show time” reddo said.

Cole was a heavy sleeper but he was not the type to sleep through a kidnapping. The rope had dug into his wrists and already began to burn his already tender skin. If Cole had been counting the footfalls and voices adequately, there were only two initially carrying him but now there was a third party. Which was an unexpected but welcome turn of events. After all, Cole still had one ace up his sleeve.

Whether it were intentional or not, the jostling involved in his kidnapping must have somehow put pressure against the Tome's button and activated it for Cole could begin to smell the sickeningly familiar fragrance that was usually followed by grisly deaths. The others most likely wouldn't notice it for a while as they had been constantly moving until now, and the dank tunnel air smothered all other aromas.

But Cole knew that it was there, so he wasn't going to go into this interrogation completely helpless. Someone reached into Cole's pockets and took the Tome away, but it was already too late. It had been activated and only Cole knew how it shut off. All it would take now is another careless push, reckless manuaver, or his death to send all of them sky high.

So when Cole decided to open his eyes, he absorbed the situation not as a prisoner but rather as the warden. Two guys, one girl, typical interrogation set up. He knew they weren't part of the Unity due to the fact that the Unity would of sent swarms of troops to apprehend him so he had to assume the next logical guess. Which was the Librarians.

"So, I trust you have a good reason for interrupting my sleep?" Cole yawned, much in the same antagonistic fashion he treated Alex. "Of course you don't though, you three chaps are much too stupid or you would have killed me while I slept."

"I'm going to make this brief. I'll play along, answer a few questions if I feel like it, and then we can all go home. You guys can all go tell your boss what good little lapdogs you are and I won't blow your legs off. I really don't feel like fighting since it's been a pretty long day and I'm tired. I am begging you, however, with bags under my eyes; don't fuck with me. If you do, I will bury every last one of you."

Cole didn't realize that he was threatening the Librarian himself and two of his top lieutanents, so his swagger and confidence was entirely undiminished by Angelo's personal presence.

Angelo smiled a little as his cockiness thinking it was amusing thinking that Angelo was the lapdog and not top dog. Although Angelo believed that he shouldn't tell the guy that he was the librarian for fear he might be a decoy for an ultimatum ambush. "well now that the intimidation threat is out of the way here's your questions. who are you? why did you destroy the capital building? did you hurt any civilians? then finally where would you rather end up, outside the city or on a slow boat to another country all together?" Angelo asked not wanting to test the mans resolve with torture considering he may be right with blowing them sky high part, it wasn't the threat of explosion that worried him but the threat that the explosion would lead to the ultimatum finding one of their tunnels and tracking it back to the original hide out of the librarians. The leader dying for his cause didn't seem so bad as long as his cause could live on at least.

Reddo smiled to herself at the man's remarks. In the position he was in he had no right talking like that. If it was up to her she'd kill him and make his death as painful as possible because he even risked killing and hurting innocent people. But, it wasn't up to Reddo, she also was not in a position to do anything stupid and rash, she does what Angelo says when he says it. He was the leader after all. Reddo sat back down in one of her chairs and poured Ed a cup of tea,

"Here bud, have some tea while we wait and see what happens here." Reddo said with a smile while she held out the cup. She would of course have called him Eddy but if Angelo decides to let the man loose then he didn't need to know any of our names, they were taking a risk even showing their faces to this man. Reddo was now waiting for the man to answer Angelo's questions.

Cole looked dully at Angelo as the questions droned on.

"First of all, that wasn't a threat. It was a promise. You want to know who I am but I want to know what it matters to you? I'm the guy that fucked your mother and left the ugly bastard child that's asking a million questions if that satiates your curiosity. Also known as Cole. Why did I blow up the capital? I dunno, again, what's it to you? I thought you Librarian types didn't like the Unity anyways. Maybe I was just bored."

"Where would I rather end up? Certainly not tied to a chair, sweetheart, if that's what you mean."

Cole's usual polite demeanor had given way to something with a reptile's heart. This was the side of Cole that murdered shopkeepers, exploded hotels and construction sites, and lied to Justicars.

"Oh, I'm sorry. You must be expecting something more subservient."

His tone transformed again into a surprisingly real sounding hysteria, perhaps aided by his psychopathy and broken mind.

"Please, oh please Mr. Librarian! Let me go! I'm just a poor child whose sis got shot by the mean ole Unity officers! I never meant to hurt anyone, I just want to go home to mommy and daddy and tell them how sorry I am for murdering all those people! Please, oh please, let me go or whatever shall I do?"

"Better?" Cole snarled as he wiped his alligator tears on his shirt.

Angelo laughed a little grinning at him "oh you are so much of a tough guy huh? ill admit despite being in a cave and "promising" to kill us if you don't have your way its actually cute. Now make no mistake, we hate the unity as much as you but you think we would try destroying a building with innocent people inside, we kill those that are the ultimatum not those that have nothing to do with it. Even the alligator tears almost makes me think your slightly insane, now I can tell everything I need from you so ill give you one chance. If you ever say you aligned yourself with the librarians I will make sure you die in the most painful way possible. If you make any attempt to kill innocent people then ill make sure to send you a message about it. By the way im not a librarian im THE librarian"

Angelo warned and he pistol whipped him in the head knocking him out and Angelo turned to redo and ed and said "get him out of here and make sure he doesn't find us" Angelo said as he walked out of the tunnel to leave redo and ed to deal with the rouge fraction that had no sense of decency or for that matter any brains when it came to choosing and picking his targets. Making sure to drop the time into one of the tunnels as he left

Being injured was...not fun. You were stuck in the hospital, with not a lot to do, just waiting to recover. It didn't help when half your face was covered in bandages, and it hurt to move your mouth, or scratch an itch, or anything else you would take for grants. If Alex didn't miss his guess then he was missing an eyebrow or two as well, which just didn't look good at all. And hospitalization didn't leave him much leeway to do anything, given how recently the surgery was.

He didn't get visitors really, which he supposed he was fine with, even though it only left him watching tv or otherwise just resting. He had no family to come visit, and he didn't have much friends outside of professional work, whom he wouldn't want visiting him if they were busy, or he didn't expect anyone to show up just to see him. It wouldn't even a critical injury at that, thanks to quick action and skin grafts. It was just an annoyance (If only the doctors could see the same thing)

On the plus side, it did give him time to think, and plan ahead. Obviously the Librarian was a big issue, but more pressing was this serial bomber Carton. He was erratic, irrational, and couldn't be trusted. He'd made that as clear himself. But with the Tome he had, he was untouchable as long as one didn't have the element of surprise or persisted in being vulnerable to explosions. He would have to ask the tech department if they had some way of dealing with that, since he had the sneaking suspicion that Carton would strike again soon. Whatever his motive was, it more than likely would keep him going. Alex grimaced as he smiled. Next time, he'd be ready.

As Cole was knocked out, the Librarian had chose to ignore one minisculr detail. Cole's Tome had been running since even before the interrogation in Angelo's possession. The sickeningly fresh vapor had not only seeped into Angelo's clothing and belongings, but into his skin itself.

Thirty seconds at the construction site.

A few minutes for the hotel and Capital roof.

Two seconds for Alex.

And now a few dozen minutes of travel and almost ten minutes in Angelo's pocket.

If he had not struck Cole so hard, perhaps the outcome would of changed. If Cole had not been on the verge of death already from the acts of the previous day, it wouldn't of mattered. But Cole's body was worn ragged, and already on it's last straws. It was a box of gunpowder that just needed one spark. Angelo unknowingly provided that spark.

Cole's life ended with that blow to the temple and so did everyone else's life in the sewer. Perhaps Reddo and Eddie may escape with just severe burns and mutilated limbs which was certainly reparable by today's technology. But Angelo, the leader would have no such luck for he had held onto it for far too long.

The tunnels suddenly roared into another onslaught of flames and a certain rebel leader was most certainly reduced to ashes. Thus ending the Legacy of Cole.

A man, who in one day, both blew up part of the base of the Ultimatum and the seemingly untouchable Librarian himself.

And was finally reunited with Silvia. So perhaps it was a happy ending for him, though we cannot say for sure the same thing about what's left of "The Librarian".

Reddo's sight went a bit blurry and the room began spinning, there was blood in her eyes and in her hair. Fire was spreading and some of the dirt had caved in. Reddo got to her knees and looked around, she saw the man's body under some dirt his head was covered meaning he suffocated or died when Angelo hit him. She was guessing it was when Angelo had hit him due to the fact the explosion went off.

Reddo had no time to be happy, only to look for her friends. She forced herself to her feet. Her legs had burns and so did her feet. It hurt to walk and she had a slight limp. Pain shot through her head and body with every step. Reddo moved some of the dirt aside and slipped to the other side of the dirt wall. the fire wasn't as big as she thought but that's mainly because the tunnel was stone and dirt, not wood. The tunnel had a few more caved in parts. Ugh! Where the fuck are they!? Reddo thought to herself as she looked around the tunnel, They couldn't have gone far. She thought.

Finally She saw Angelo's upper torso sticking out from under some stones. She moved the stones aside and saw his legs, one was in okay condition but the other looked smashed and need a long while to heal. "Come on bud, lets get you out of here." Reddo spoke as she leaned Angelo against the wall. He was out cold and his pulse was slow. He had large burns and cuts on his torso, face and legs. Reddo then saw Ed, he was propped up against the wall as if somebody sat him there. He was breathing heavy and had a very fast pulse. Reddo limped over to him, "Eddy! Get the fuck up! We need to get Angelo out of here. He's hurt really bad and needs medical attention fast! Besides the guards might be here any minute!" Reddo screamed in Ed's face and slapped him a couple times, he then opened one eye let out a long breath. Reddo helped him to his feet.

Ed had most the burns on his stomach and right leg, nothing as bad as Angelo or her. He was the farthest away. Ed could walk without a limp and that was a good thing. "Help me move this stone!" Reddo yelled as she pointed at a large stone that was blocking the path they need to take Angelo through. Ed of course helped her then put one of Angelo's arms around his shoulders, Reddo did the same on the other side of Angelo. Ed and Reddo then began to take him back to the hideout.

Something was off. A ripple that reached him from beyond. A disturbance...and then he knew instantly. The Jester knew of the sin committed on this night. Cole. Cole Carton was dead. Blown by the machinations of his own choice. Something must have happened for him to...and then Jester narrowed his eyes, the only indication of his building rage. Angelo Ortega. The Librarian. He had driven Cole to such extents in his final moments....how annoying.

The masked man glanced once more into Evie's willing eyes before briefly considering the choice to end her life as well. One of his catalysts had perished, and it would make no difference for this one as well. He could always just start over, rinse and repeat...and yet....perhaps a hidden blessing caused by his own ambitions? The girl before him was willing to learn; with Cole gone, he could now focus on one.

For some reason, that mere thought alone greatly amused him.

"Excellent." Jester closed the distance between their faces and met her crimson eye with his own, shining with new enlightenment. "Something wonderful has occurred Evie. Something that will allow you to achieve even grander things in this life....from now on, we shall meet here on this very hill top. Each and every night, you will mature into the being you so desire. The one I've been waiting for...."

Jester gently stroked the girl's face tenderly, lifting her bangs up to witness her hidden eye. The color mattered not to him; only the reflected passion to become his pupil. "Dear Evie...let us begin your training immediately now so that you can become the hero of your dreams." He leaned close enough for their faces to meet in passionate embrace. "My precious catalyst...."

And then he pulled away. "Now then. Face me. Draw out your Tome...and strike me down."

Ed took Anglo to a table in the hide out and reddo went to go get a medic. When he arrived he checked all of Anglo’s wounds and shook his head. “He will live. But….”

“But what” reddo demanded.

“We do not have the medical supplies to mend this leg and if we do not get some he will never walk right again.”

“Is there nothing you can do” ed said.

“with the simple first aid kits that were in that truck… no. I would need hospital supplies” the medic said sadly.

“well then we will get you hospital supplies” ed said with a smile. “Reddo are you wanted for being a rebel”

“no I kill everyone who sees my face”

“Oh lovely. Well I need your help”

“Last time I heard that the next thing I knew I was dressed like a hooker”

“Well then you’re going to love this even more. You get to be my girlfriend”

Ed and reddo walked in to the hospital, reddo was playing up her wounds. “My girlfriend and I were cooking out and the propane tank exploded. I thank she is heart bad.” Ed said in his most desperate voice. It worked and they were pulling her away on a stretcher be for he could blink. It was to bad Anglo had not kept a low profile then he could have done the same trick with him.
Ed waited outside the operating room. He waited till all of the staffs attention was on reddo then he entered the bathroom where there were no security cameras and put on a mask. Then he opened the air duct and crawled in. he searched till he found the storage room and dropped down. He looked at the list of meds he needed and began packing. Then he began on the other things that didn’t help Angelo like morphine or high value meds. Then he crawled back in to the air ducts retraced his tracks and returned to the bathroom and removed the mask. Thousands of dollars of meds stolen and it just looked like he had taken a poop.

He left the bathroom and waited for the operation to finish.

“She will be fine” the doctor explained “you just need to make sure she gets lots of rest”

Ed nodded and pushed reddo out in a wheel chair. “Well looked at that we got meds and a wheel chair” ed said.

“Hay I was thanking” reddo said in a dazed voice “we should build a big cannon and shoot the ultimatum with it”

“Are you high?” ed asked. The doctors must have put her on something.

“No I am right here on the ground”

“yep definitely high”

"Wait, what!?" Reddo said when Ed mentioned they were going to act like a couple. "No, definitely not!" Reddo yelled but she was already in the hospital and ed was already giving the Excuse he made up. Reddo was put onto a stretcher and taken into an operation room. "I fucking hate you!" Reddo Yelled as the door shut.

"calm down miss.' One of the nurses said as she put the face mask on her. After a while Reddo began to feel dizzy and finally drifted off to sleep. All her dreams were about fire and death. The memory of her best friend being killed played over and over in her head, but she couldn't wake up. No matter how hard she tried to tell herself "wake up" she couldn't. she had full control of her body in the dream, as the memory began to play over and over she fell to the floor and began crying. She couldn't stop. She wanted to end it here but knew she needed revenge.

Then her eyes popped open and the dream faded into the back of her mind, all she could think about was stupid things like ponies and cannons and rainbows. next thing Reddo knew her vision became like a retro 8-bit videogame, then Ed was pushing her in a wheel chair. "Hey,I was thinking. "We should build a giant cannon and shoot the ultimatum with it." Reddo laughed, and spoke in a dazed/slurred voice.

"Are you high?"

"No, I'm right here on the ground." Reddo said looking at Ed confused.

"Yep, you're definitely high." Ed said with a smile. Reddo then began to make air plane noises as Ed pushed her back to the hideout.

She walked in the dark, useless spaces that left house's seperated. Her boots clacking on the cement ground and her eyes, seemingly gleaming as she walked in the dark. As she continued walking she suddenly heard a rumble? She turned looking at the direction she heard the noise as she noticed smoke upon the air. She titled her head hearing people walking a tad more faster or running. She shrugged, turning walking towards the sound of the boom. Though she decided not too get in trouble and turned around continuing too walk through the shadows and as soon as she walked home she turned noticing a few walking towards the hospital or maybe? She could only see through the little spaces of the alley way. As they walked they had unique appearances like her. She didn't care that much..and continued too her home.

As soon as she reached home there..was a back window it seemed unnecassary, though there were no houses behind her house at the moment. She lifted the window and slowly climbed through the window of her house. Sighed she settled down her backpack on the kitchen counter, walking towards the living room as she turned on the lights. Plopping onto the couch staring at the ceiling. The house itself looked oddly clean and organized for a 14 year old too be living in.

Though once her parents left the authorities approved that I can live by myself, though they would provide me food and supplies until I am old enough too get an actual job. Kurai sighing once more, feeling lonely inside her little home. Intrigued by the explosion near, somewhere near the catherdral or so she thought. She wanted too go but the authorities would punish her so many times! She sighed once again and sighed, laying onto the couch until she was finally allowed too do something.

Angelo soon woke up in a why bed feeling drowsy and weak but more then anything else he felt a crippling pain in his leg and he gripped the bed side growling loudly trying not to yell but that didn't stop Angelo from spouting out multiple curses to the ultimatum sin the doctor came in and tried to calm me down but Angelo grabbed his arm putting it into a death grip in pain asking him to knock Angelo back out or to fucking kill him Angelo pressed but thankfully he just knocked Angelo out again making Angelo fall asleep

Every little touch the Jester placed on her face sent her heart skyrocketing. As he pulled back, the reality of who she was talking to once more hit her.

"Hee~" A grin spread across her face and she blushed, her weak knees caving in and causing her to fall. She sat there, on the grass with her legs sprawled out under her. "Hee hee hee~" The girlish giggle once again escaped her lips. THE Jester was gonna train her and he was so gentle and cool and mysterious and and and and.... Oooohhhh the thought itself just made her roll back and forth on the grass in happiness as he stood there, waiting for her to do ask he asked. He wanted to spend time with her, called her his 'catalyst,' whatever that meant. She was happy as a cannibal gumdrop in candy land. At last she picked herself up and nodded to him.

"Okay! I'll show you what I've got!" Her tome had already formed around her previously, her dark cape and skirt flowing in the wind. She pushed her bangs out of the way of her eyes so they didn't get in the way of her battleing. She fanned her fingers apart and held her arms wide open, four blades forming in each palm in a shimmering array of red and black energy. She threw her right hand out, peddling the knives out horizontally at the Jester before her left hand peddled vertically. Making, almost appropriately, a sort of cross shape. When those were thrown, Evie took the time to press her arms into an X shape over her torso, where two long, curved blades formed in her hands. She ran up to the Jester, hoping the knives before had distracted him enough to get a clean blow in straight across his chest.

When arriving back at the hideout Ed put Reddo in her bed. Of course she was to hyper to fall asleep. "Eddy! I want some candy!" Reddo yelled as Ed was almost out the door. She was like a little girl again. She had nothing mean to say, nothing horrible on her mind and she was actually smiling for the first time in ages. "Eddy!" Reddo yelled in a whiny tone out the door. She could walk but with a little limp. "Eddy, I want my candy now." She said walking out into the main hall in front of Ed. Lucky not very many people were there.

Reddo had her angry face on. Her arms were crossed, then she began laughing so hard she couldn't breath. She fell to the ground and held her stomach taking gasps of air every few seconds.

Finally after a good minutes she stood up, and skipped to the kitchen. "Reddo, what are you doing?" Ed yelled following her.

"Getting candy. Duh, what else would I be doing stupid." Reddo replied while flicking Ed's head and laughing. Reddo opened the cabinet and got a big bag of candy out. She unwrapped a sucker and put it in her mouth. "I'll be in my room." she announced singing a little and skipping back to her room.

"oh of course, candy" ed mutters sarcastically to him self rolling his eyes. "how could i have been so stupid" but all the same he fallowed her to the kitchen. reddo pulled out a big bag of all sorts of candy.
"so.... we have a stash of candy?" ed said "i wasint awhere a group of rebels fighting for justus needed a stash of candy"
"don't questan the candy, eddy" reddo said "ill be in my room" then she skipped off.
ed picked up a piece of candy and called after reddo "you still high, just happy we fucked over the hospitable, or have you been taken over by a 6 year old"

Jester was not fazed in the slightest at Evie's girlish gushing, only standing in patience for her first move. Seeing the knives form a cross-like pattern, he launched forward and dodged the hurtled weapons with accurate speed and precise grace. The way he moved was too fluid...almost unnatural to an external observer. In the heat of battle though, Evie would have only noticed such a thing if she was absolutely focused on this dual.

Seeing his new student lunge in for a strike to his chest, the masked man effortlessly caught her hand in his grip before the knife making contact. "Tell me Evie, how goes your studies?" He asked the question randomly. "What do they teach you about the origins of my precious Ultimatum?" His Ultimatum? "One more thing....what do the children think of me?"

As he asked away, his free hand began to crackle with power as a large surge of energy spilled from his palm.
