Nah, that was what Aeron placed on him to drain his supernatural energy. It's an Anti-Magic sigil that Aeron casted on him.

Nah, it's an innate ability within him that he was unknowingly born with. He is a demi-god, and didnt realize he had demi-god abilities till now.
