So I actually was quite motivated and made an aesthetically pleasing OOC for you. Also revamped your Character Sheet as promised. lol I'll send it to you when you come back online.

I'll also update 'The Ranks' list too once the roles are filled in and you've decided on what roles your keeping and replacing. I'll make it visually appealing also--to include a small images of the characters and what not. :)

WHOA WHOA! Hold on!

Lol. Okay so I just noticed the thread exploding with new stuff and am glad to see that a reboot is finally in the works. HOWEVER! As far as the time skip is concerned and the events leading to the defeat of Cypher and his group...

I have some things to say about that. I still have to read through all the ideas you two were tossing around but it literally hurts every time I read someone else moving my characters and changing their stories for me. No offense taken of course as you both didn't know If I would return.

That being said, Cypher is not the blood thirsty maniac that everyone seemed to make him out to be and those two kids were NOT from his group. They were from another group lead by another player.... I forget his name but i'll go through the thread and find it later. You'd have to leave out the whole search party thing because the kids would have instead given up the other group which I have no idea where they were... (Cypher was just about to begin a search for them himself in my last post).

Just to throw these major points out there before I continue through this torturous read:

1. Cypher's group is defeated along with the major antagonists in the group.
The triplets for starters were actually a quadruplet... Cliff, Brand and the chick i forget her name. Shea i think? They were the first three pillars... Earth, Fire and Water. The fourth is obviously Wind. Through some events which will now no longer matter and will never be explained, their fourth brother essentially is made up entirely of air. (Same thing would have happened to Brand during the war). The war sees them all killed off.

The Doctor is killed.

Sky, the woman in charge of caring for the "working class" population... those of Cypher Vale's group who were by nature non-confrontational and did not participate in any fights. She survives and is integrated into PL.

Frazz or Fritz or whatever his name is. Boy with the power to make sparks of light appear survives. His power evolves as Cypher predicted into the ability to super heat and compress volumes of air causing the oxygen to ignite and explode upon violent depressurization. (Thats what the small sparks of light were: tiny explosions.) He solely responsible for the death of Brand and the unnamed "Air" brother. Frazz is integrated into PL. He's also responsible for injuring the Third Harpy Clo which brings me to my second (and third) point.

Also want to state that Cypher's group was supposed to be joined by the aforementioned second group lead by the player. We were collabing. They would have been in the fight and would have been defeated as well.

2. Cypher Vale doesn't have a son. He has a daughter which turns out to be Clo.
During the fight events lead to this discovery and I would have explained the how and why in some flashback post. Of course we never got to that point but she is in fact his daughter. She is one of the major reasons Cypher ends up losing the battle and eventually he admits defeat and intends to surrender... It would have been at this point that the Triplets would have turned on him because, if anyone remembers, they have beef with that radiation dude (The guy who killed off their entire half of Cypher Vales group). They intend to finish the war, severely injure Cypher and cast him aside and continue the assault with a faithful few. They are killed off and survivors are integrated into PL.

3. Clo is injured... critically.
Frazz's explosion to kill off the remaining elemental siblings would have killed [insert name of important friendly character here] as well. Clo being the Harpy that she is sees the threat and tries to save him. She succeeds, saving the would be victim from harms way by wrapping him/her and herself in her wings. The explosion tears her left wing off and burns and scars parts of the left side of her body (Not her face thank God). What would have made this more emotional for herself is the fact that she would have just recently come to terms with accepting her wings. If you guys remember, she used to have issues with them: the fact that they set her apart from "normal" humans. The fact that they were pitch black and not bright like her adoptive sisters. They would have helped her embrace who she was and slowly she would have begun to use them more often instead of walking everywhere.

4. Clo leaves PL.
Having lost one of the wings she'd just learned to love and witnessing the death of her father (and taking part in it in a way) she becomes emotionally distraught. Not only that but the death of [insert important friendly characters here] along with those who lost their life in defense of PL weighs heavily on her mind. She steps down from her position as Harpy, no longer feeling that she deserves the position and after a long talk with her sisters and Ravenia, she decides to leave. I would have had her come back much later in the story to warn them of a threat... whatever threat I would have come up with but with a 5 year time skip underway, now would be a good time to bring her back... or maybe I can have her wait. Also the war between Cypher and PL being the first during this 5 year time gap, she would have been absent for all conflicts that came after it.

And that covers it for my characters I believe. The summary you put together is fine the way it is. I'm completely okay with the way you described Cypher and his "Zealots". The whole capturing and torturing Ravenia though is out of the question. It would seem more likely that the leader of the other group would have done that to her instead.

OH MAH GOSH EXIT!
Hi, friend!
I didn't know you would be returning so we were just trying to see about some ideas to jump kick the roleplay.

We can definitely change it up to where Cypher's group isn't the bad guys.

Now there are some parts that I'm confused on about the 4 elements and a whole 'nother group and the doctor dying.
wut?

Okay, what happened with the 4 elements? Where did they come from? What third group? I didn't see that in the roleplay? And which doctor died? Tobias? Was there a second doctor?

My brain hurts.

Truthfully, I want to make the revamp as simple as possible.

I think if we could just get our facts straight on the key main parts of what went down during the 5 year time skip it would make the revamp as simple as possible.

I did not mean to offend anyone with moving people's characters around.
Last time I had read through the roleplay the only thing I saw was Cypher's group making their way towards PL. I didn't see any mention of a third group. Unless someone created a secondary thread with my roleplay?

FRAZ [Actual Post]
"Boy!" Cypher squinted at the child through heavy lids and weary eyes. He was barely nine, about his height when he was the same age and probably just as frightened too. He'd been given the odd nick of "Fraz...", a result of his rather peculiar ability. "...What the hell are you doing busting into my tent like an idiot?" He dropped his arm, placing the gun down to rest in between them, the muzzle still pointed at the kid.

Would probably be around 14 or 15 now. Lives in PL.

SKYLAR [Actual Post]
Next there was the woman Skylar put in charge of those who were not able to fight but placed their skills to use elsewhere. In a way she had the most to organize having to consider individual jobs to hand out to those who couldn't find their own work, distribution of supplies when Cypher was too busy to handle the task himself and other things. She along with Doc kept tabs on everyone's health and made sure people were well fed. She worked with the triplets to keep up to date with threats and was sure to keep her people informed and as always, she organized lessons for the children with Cypher.

Would have survived the war and now lives in PL.

CLIFF, BRAND and SHEA [Actual Post]
"It's not.... it's not just her." His eyes moved from the girl on the ground to the three standing behind her: Cliff, Brand and Shea. Triplets... most likely the last on Earth. Blonde with blue eyes and fit bodies to match. Together they would have been poster models back in the day, all beautiful creatures cursed with being born in the wrong time. While Shea was the easiest to pick out being female, Cliff and Brand had been nearly impossible to distinguish until Brand grew his hair out into a pony tail. Now, Cypher hadn't any problem at all calling the brothers by their proper name. He stared at each of them waiting for an answer. They each exchanged a few glances before Cliff opened his mouth.

Triplets who were actually quadruplets. Their names were hints to their powers. Each of them had complete control over one element. Cliff had Earth, Brand had fire and Shea had water. Their unnamed fourth brother (or maybe sister just to keep the girl to boy ratio even) had power over air. All of them are dead.

DOC [Actual Post]
Their doctor, aptly named Doc, had the impressive ability to multiply living cells assisting in anything from healing organic tissue to growing foods at an incredible rate. It only took him an hour or so with the girl to get her body back to a healthy state. However there was also a downside to this ability, a rather dark use that well suited a specific purpose. Information was the greatest weapon a man could have and at times, it took... pressure to get that information. Normally the human body could only take so much but with the Doc at Cypher's disposal, new meaning was added to the word "endure". People always tried to hold out but in the end they broke... every time.

Doc's particular ability also allowed him to crank up any one person's sensitivity to pain as explained later in the same post. He dies during the war.

THIRD GROUP [Actual Post]
The sun began to drift out of the sky to end another day. Long shadows were cast upon a lonesome town, a couple miles outside of the decimated city. It had chain link fence all around it, barb wire on top. An old military base. A lone man walked down the street, until he reached a house that sat on the corner. He let himself in, not bothering to knock. The man slunk through the dark home until he found another man, who sat on the old couch in the living room, listening to an old radio full of static.

The first man cleared his throat. "Sir, we sent a couple scouts to check on the group's progress. Sasha was taken."
The man on the couch was silent for a moment before he spoke. "It doesn't matter," He finally said, "Trojan Horse will work. We will wait for the first report."
"And what about the others?"
"I don't think they'll be a threat to us. We will keep our eyes on the prize, William. The city."

THE TWO KIDS [The following snippet is taken from a PM between myself and Metronome]
So Russian guy was part of another group of survivors. It was a large group with numbers in the hundreds, all ruled under a leader who's more like a tyrant.

The leader found out about the city and decided that he wanted to go take it over, and got his loyal followers behind him to make an army, but he needed a way to get information on the city before he could attack.

So he got a couple of the kids together and coached them on what to do: go into the city, get a look at the place, take notes, find weaknesses, ect. And who is gonna turn away a couple kids in need?

The zombies were part of the plan as well. The tyrant's guys ran around making all kinds of noise to attract them, which was why is was such a large herd.

The russian guy found out about this plan and decided that he couldn't let it happen. So he stole a map to the city and headed out to warn him. But tyrant's lackeys found out about it and ganged up on him to beat him half to death. They left him there in the desert thinking he was dead and that their plan would still work.

Think that's everything.

Wowzer! Exit! Hey! Glad to see your input! I hope that means your planning to join back into the revamp once it comes to fruition!

But I also was not aware of a third group. I do however remember the quadruplate that were employed by Cypher, I just don't remember them being elementals. But we all helped to create this vast world we have come to know and love so it makes sense that we may have forgotten bits and pieces.

So now that we have Exit here as well, hopefully, some changes need to be made then in regards to how the conflict went down between PL and Cypher's Group and unless someone jumps back in to tell us what happened to their character(as Exit did), we need to decide the fates of the other characters. And if the roleplayer doesn't come back to reclaim their character, the character could always just become an NPC, if they survived of course.

But Exit, are you confirming that Cypher Vale has died?

And if so, this mysterious third group you spoke of, could be the new antagonist, since I don't remember them ever truly coming to fruition.

I'm the one that created the two children, Libby and (forgot his name), and I had originally intended for them to the spies(kinda forced into it) for Cyphers group. However, I did NOT create this mysterious third group Exit spoke of, however, the idea isn't a bad one and could be easily moved over into this revamp.

And I think there were two doctors. PL had Tobias. And I think Cypher's group had their own NPC doctor. But I'm not 100% sure, so don't quote me. Lat I remember tho, Tobias didn't die.

But all that stuff on Cypher and Clo. Nice! I'm glad you came back to wrap up what went down for your two characters during that time period. Also, I remember the Radiation guy kind of being the catalyst that started the entire conflict between C-Group and PL. I wonder what happened to him and where he is at this point, that is if he is still alive.

I really hope we can rally at least most of the old gang back so they can tell us where their characters are at.

NOW....In terms of my own characters.

The two kids, Libby and (whats his name), I'm not sure what happened to them after I left the RP. I think someone else took over them for me. But I can't remember who.

Sun, I imagine he is dead. I want him to have perished in the battle. Though once this starts back up, I may make a reincarnation of him. We'll see.

Eliza and Geoffrey both integrated into PL from Cypher Vale's group I think, since they were both very weary of him from the get-go. I really liked that aspect of their relationship with him. They relied on him, because he provided protection, food, and shelter, but at the same time, I were very uncertain about his motives and he seemed very, devious. And Cypher knew they didn't really trust him. I would of liked to have explored that dynamic more, since they were the few that didn't have that Zealot mentality like most of Cypher's followers had. If I remember correctly, Kaiden, the boy with the hawk, had that zealot mentality, a sharp contrast from my character Eliza. Though, I'm not completely sold on playing 5 yr older versions of them, so I may just keep them around as NPCs.

But once this takes off, I'll definitely be doing the story recaps, like I used to do.

I think I mentioned this before, but if we are gonna revamp this RP, I think we should include a new role.

From what I remember, we had...

Mother, The Humans, The Blessed Ones, The Warriors, The Harpies, The Gatekeeper, and what I didn't know, The 3rd Unknown Group(That the two kids were from). From What Exit said, I think Cypher's Group is no more.

I think we should get rid of the Gatekeeper position, and replace it with a new role. Perhaps, The Half-Dead. People who died, but came back as the Dead, however, they are a bit different because they still retain their memories and speech capabilities and they can behave like regular humans, but...they have a 'hunger' to eat flesh that they have to suppress. Some live in what civilizations remain, but they are kept under tight watch and most hate them for who they are and what their innate cravings want them to do. But they have the added bonus of being unable to be killed, unless their brain is destroyed of course. And since they are still technically dead, The Dead don't attack them.

But thats just an idea. One I think should be limited to only 1-3 characters.

Sorry, that was ALOT. More than I thought I had to say. LOL

Oh yeah. Cypher was definitely making his way to PL but there was a third player in the mix lol. Crazy stuff happening behind the scenes that was easily missed if players weren't careful with their reading.

Anyways if you want to simplify the conflict, in it's most basic form:
Cypher joins [Third Group] and the combined might of both forces assault PL. PL and it's defenders emerge victorious having suffered losses of their own but successfully repelling and defeating the enemy. Carefully selected survivors from the invading force are integrated into PL.

And that's that. Just wanted to make sure the finer details were squared away so that there was no confusion with my characters and their direction. I hold that stuff close to my chest mainly because I brainstormed those shitty ideas and I'll be damned if they're tossed to the side a year later for something else (especially if those replacement ideas are better lol). No offense taken again and please don't take any either!

Well. That was a shit ton of information that I read on both of your half.
Now your information makes sense, Exit. Like Angel said,we can easily make the third group the bad guys who created the 3 Day war. I also have no problem with parts of the groups being integrated into PL. In fact, that could really work out for an attack that may happen inside the Lands during the 5 year time skip.

Angel, love that idea of the Half-Dead. Kind of reminds me of Ghouls from Fallout. I say that we make an actual city in the ruins somewhere close to the lands. Almost as if they're creating a bartering system. It gives the people a place to go without having to travel across the Red Wastes.

Nope I havent. I've never even heard of that before. I just thought the idea of Half-Dead would be an interesting concept/role to explore in this 5 year time skip. So much has changed. Why can't some of the dead change too, you know?

But what is The Girl with all the Gifts? Is she a zombie or something? lol

Ugh it's such a good book (which is dumb for me to say considering I've had it for so long but haven't gotten around to finishing it).

Without giving too much away? She is but she's intelligent and she builds this relationship with a some major characters and things happen and conflict arises between herself and them and stuff and it's a great read. You "Half Dead" is nearly spot on with what she is (not too much a of spoiler since it's explained what exactly that is early on).

That sounds very interesting. And thats why it is a concept I think could be interesting to explore in this new Revamp. I was so excited last night, that I made a revamped and improved OOC and Character Sheet for Rose. I'm not sure if she wants me to show other people yet tho. There are still a few things not included. Like locations(including new ones) and the Rank List needs to be revamped too.

What's has happened with which characters you would like to keep.

I plan on keeping Ravenia obviously. I plan on making the 5 years very hard on her so she's a bit colder and much more calculating.

I'm trying to decide if I want to keep Tank. I think I will. He didn't really make much of a debut before I got caught up in everything.
