Physical Appearance: Rush has an interesting appearance. Like he doesn't look too out of place in one of those sci-fi movies as an Engineer. Maybe it's his goggles. Maybe it's the nerd vibe. Who knows. Anywho, Rush has a nerd-vibe, like he looks like one of those NERDS who sit in front of their computer all day. Which he kinda does. He has a weak looking build, like he doesn't do too much muscle work - More of finger-work. He's slightly overweight, but isn't too noticeable. He's more thin than anything. Rush stands below average (at 5'5) and weighs 136 pounds. Not too shabby. His limbs (Arms and legs) are longer than average, and so are his fingers, he has a bit of a reach. Rush is Caucasian, he has several different cultures in his blood. American, British, Irish, and Czech, to be exact. Rush's skin is a pale white color, and is far from perfect. He has plenty of scars from incidents gone wrong. The most notable out of these scars is the burn scar on his shoulder. This is an electrical burn scar, and takes up his entire shoulder in a mass of nasty, fleshy, growths. Like a bolt of lightning came down and electrocuted him. Fortunately, he keeps this scar covered up with his attire. For once, one of my characters won't have facial scars. His skin, mostly his face, is plastered with light-brown freckles. His nose, and cheeks are littered with them.

Rush in terms of looks, isn't all that special. He isn't especially good looking, nor is he painful to look at. Rush is in between, you could say. He has a wide face/head. His head is oval shaped. Rush has very big and round cheeks, that are easily the more pronounced part of his head. Rush has average sized lips, that are pink, and poke out a little bit. His nose is very small, and triangle-shaped, the biggest part of his nose is the tip, which pokes forward a little bit. He has rounded ears are that very small. His eyes are small and blue colored, some could say that he has beautiful eyes. His chin is rounded, and his jawline is rather dull/round. Rush is a ginger. Which means in addition to having no soul, his hair is an orange color. It's straight. He keeps it well-groomed, and looking really good. Rush keeps his hair in a very spiky hairstyle.

Attire: Rush in terms of attire, has a Scifi/Steampunk vibe. He doesn't wear anything like lab coats or anything, despite his scientist motif. When out on the town; he mostly wears a large black leather trench coat, that stretches down to his ankles. This trench coat is a little tattered here and there, and most damage has been sown up/repaired by Rush. The main purpose of the trench coat is the several pockets all over it - Mostly inside of it. Rush keeps his various inventions in these pockets. Sometimes he'll be seen wearing other outfits, and in that case, he'll throw on anything as long as it fits. He sometimes will be seen wearing clothes that don't match at all. Rush doesn't care. One thing he absolutely won't be seen without is his massive tinted welder's goggles (They look like this, except black and tinted). They're usually on his forehead, sometimes he'll slide them down over his eyes.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Rush is a very odd human being. He doesn't move like regular people do. He doesn't talk like they do. He doesn't act like they do. He speaks in strange sentence fragments, which tends to leave out words. He never says I or refer to himself in his sentence. He's quick to the point, and rarely uses phrases. He tends to act kindly to associates, and is more than willing to help someone in need if it isn't too much of a chore. Though, he can be quite mischievous. Pulling pranks using his tech. By all definition, Rush is a sociopath. He's cold, unfeeling, and cannot connect to people on an emotional level. He tends to be inhumanly calm, and acts robotic. When he makes decisions, he always chooses the most practical one, rather than a morale one. Needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, after all. Rush acknowledges this, and truly hates the fact that he cannot feel the same way other people do. Which is why he tends to keep himself closed off. Though, he sometimes angsts over it internally.

Hobbies/Interests: Rush's favorite thing in the hole wide world is explore technology, and invent some new technology himself. It gives him purpose and new things to explore. He's freakishly good with electronics, and can spot a tiny defect in a phone. Hell, he even has his own business set up where he helps people with their technology based problems. Other than that, Rush is an artist, he knows how to draw a bit well. He'll rarely be seen drawing however. He puts much attention on playing with his inventions. Rush also likes to get into different social situations and get information on people out of it. Seeing how some people react to some things.

Skills/Talents: Inhumanly good with technology, observant, good at gardening, possesses good hand-eye coordination, and can haul ass when the time comes.

Prized Possession: Rush's first invention; a modified transformers toy. Kept in his dorm-rooms.

Power Class: Cerebral

Power: Techno-Mind. Rush has a very powerful mind, being able to process a hundred times better than a regular mind, which an even greater affinity to technology. Whenever he's near technology, he can sense it, along with instinctively know everything about it (How it's made, how to take it apart, any damage, etc, etc). What is the most powerful about this ability is that he's capable of mentally forming "blueprints" for other devices. He can potentially create anything as long as he has the resources for it. This isn't just limited to electronics, Rush's power extends to all technology, new and old. Rush is known to develop technological tools to protect himself and allies, as well as to disable enemies. He has also developed a control over electronics to a powerful extent. He can freely alter digital systems of any active electronic in his vicinity. Changing functions/system and retrieving information out of them. Such as hacking an iPhone with his mind, or changing the streetlight from green to red. He can do that and more. Hell, Rush can even code complex programs. Such as making a super good hacking program.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Rush's over reliance on technology is a huge weakness. Without the proper equipment or resources, the Technomind is useless. Especially in places like the woods or... Then again I don't think he'll be going anywhere near there. Now, while Rush is very capable of building some super amazing things, the problem he has is getting the stuff to make it. He's going to need some high end resources to make the really cool stuff. Rush probably will never get access to them to begin with. Rush's most dangerous weakness is a EMP. If exposed to one, Rush's power will shut down, and Rush will temporarily be sent into a coma for a few hours.

Ethnicity: Half-black, half-white , though most of his skin is now an irritated burnt red color.
Physical Appearance: Skeleton looks like he lives in a gym. Easily the most physically-fit member of the Skulls, he has a massive bulk with a barrel chest and a six pack that makes all other six packs jealous. Being wanted by the police makes doing that last set at the gym that much easier. There is no point in describing Skeleton’s face because you’ll never see it. Skeleton’s face, back, shoulders, and hands are covered in terrible burn scars. His skin in those places is an unhealthy purplish red, dotted with rough boil-like blemishes. His body is a patchwork of scars as well. A terrible ropelike scar trails down his back, and his wrist has been slit open several times (not of his own doing). He used to have a tattoo on his left shoulder, but the burn scars have made it nearly imperceivable.

Skeleton's voice is low and gravely, like a blues singer. There is a very mild southern draw to it that's only identifiable if you're paying close attention. His voice is slightly raspy, like a smoker's voice.

Attire: All of Skeleton’s skin has clothing covering it. He wears a pair of long camo cargo pants tucked into a pair of black combat boots. Around his waist is a chain belt with a heavy silver skull buckle. He wears a white tee shirt on his top half, and over this is his black leather jacket. The jacket has spikes on the epaulettes and is always zipped up. On the back of it is a sugar skull, the logo of the Skulls. Covering Skeleton’s head and face is a skull balaclava, which is where he gets the nickname “Skeleton” from. Covering his eyes is a pair of black polarized Oakley sunglasses. The balaclava is shaped in such a way that it covers all of the skin that the sunglasses do not. The mouth of the balaclava is made of a mesh that allows him to drink through it. Skeleton doesn’t eat when Skull peons are around, and the only people who ever see him eat are his closest friends. On his head is a black half biker helmet with a row of spikes trailing down the middle of it. On Skeleton’s hands are a pair of gloves designed to look like a skeletal hand. They are SAP gloves, with pieces of metal in the knuckles, similar to brass knuckles.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Skeleton is a cruel villain with a bit of a heart. He believes that being honorable in combat is the way to go, and that petty acts of violence and backstabbing are cowardly. Skeleton doesn’t kill civilians and won’t resort to petty crimes or terrorist attacks on civilian buildings to achieve his goals. He is known for being particularly cruel to those foolish Skulls who harm innocent or unarmed people. He refuses to participate in terrorist stunts, but is known for leading attacks on the police. That said, however, enemies will be dealt with swiftly and mercilessly. Skeleton is exceedingly cruel to those who present themselves as a threat, and has absolutely no problem with crushing usurpers. Interrogation is part of his skill set; he is extremely charismatic with a pipe or a nine-iron in his hand, especially with all that leather and all... those... muscles…
He’s not the smartest tool in the shed, though; Skeleton gets by on forced charisma, not intellect or wit. Unlike Whisper, Skeleton doesn’t plan things very well. He’s more of a full-charge kind of guy, like Southern generals in the Civil War.
Skeleton loves pushing his body to the limits. Many times, Skeleton will take on as many dangerous opponents as he possibly can, in order to challenge his body and mind. He gets extremely bored fighting normal mooks, and so will always go after the best of the best on the battlefield. He’d charge a Navy SEAL team head on if he knew it would give him a challenge. He has been known to occasionally deactivate his power just so he could level the playing field with a worthy opponent. Socially, Skeleton is cold and pretty antisocial. He rarely has conversations with other Skulls unless they have proved themselves to be worthy of his friendship, a rare and treasured distinction. Even with his friends, Skeleton is rather cold. He’s not going to be flaunting around his innermost feelings anytime soon. Skeleton is officially diagnosed with PTSD, a psychological illness associated with traumatic events, especially combat. His scars are a testament to this. Skeleton has trouble sleeping often, and occasionally people find him very depressed. At some points, people believed him to be suicidal, but it would be deliciously difficult for him to commit suicide. He copes with his PTSD through sleeping pills and beer.
Hobbies/Interests: Anything physical, really; running, exercising, fighting, playing sports. He is known to spar other Skulls in MMA. Every morning, he is said to do an extraordinarily difficult workout to train his body for that day. His love of fitness, however, cannot outweigh his love of alcohol; Skeleton is an alcoholic. He also enjoys driving and collecting both cars and motorcycles. He’s a novice mechanic.
Skills/Talents: Skeleton is freakishly strong, and is unmatched in hand-to-hand combat. He is a blackbelt in taekwondo, and used to compete professionally in MMA before he got banned because of his power. He is fairly agile (at least enough for him to get out of his own way), and has good cardiovascular endurance. Basically, a physical powerhouse.
Prized Possession: His Skulls jacket, probably.
Quote(s): Skeleton’s catchphrase is “weak”, which he spits as if the word burned the tip of his tongue. “Weak” is the worst insult that Skeleton could possibly use against something or someone.
History/Bio: Skeleton doesn’t talk about his past. If you ask him about his ubiquitous scars, he will simply say something to the effect of “I was too weak, and this was my reward. I am stronger now.”

Do I look like Skeleton to you?

Peter Osten was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His father was a major in the US military. He was a tough, hard man, one that had no problem with liberal discipline. Skeleton spent most of his childhood days with scars covering his buttocks and the tops of his thighs. The beatings made Skeleton tough, but also made him begin to resent his father, especially when he got beaten for doing nothing wrong.
When Pete was nine, his father lost his right leg in the Persian Gulf War. He was honorably discharged from the army, and the family moved to Mendel, where Pete’s parents both got jobs. Pete discovered his powers on a middle school playground two years later. A kid pushed him off of the monkey bars, and he tumbled to the ground with a thud. He should have been injured, but there was not a scrape on his body. The kid jumped down from the monkey bars to punch Peter, and after about four punches was sent on a nice long trip to the ICU. At the time, meta humans were very poorly understood, and so Peter was put into anger counseling. All anger counseling did, though, was give a civil person a reason to be uncivil. For years after those classes, Peter would get himself out of messes by saying “I have anger issues. I go to therapy for it”. Peter’s father still hit him if he ever did anything bad, something which also drove him to turn down a dark path.
When Peter was twelve, he met Damian Sparks, and not long after met Kylie Evans and Amber Kiyoshi. The four of them became a sort of street gang, drinking beers in dark alleys and smoking pot and playing cards and occasionally beating up people who dared walk into one of their hangouts. It was a charmed life, prowling the streets with his friends, and he began to lose grip on what was important in life. He failed the eighth grade. The night he got the failing report card, Peter’s father gave Pete the toughest beating of his life. He punched and kicked and spanked and smacked him with a paddle and told him he was weak. Peter’s father, however, didn’t understand his son’s potential. How could he? The doctors couldn’t figure it out, and Peter’s father didn’t know anything about the Academies. But that night, Peter decided that he’d had enough of his father’s cruelty. He fought back, and his father received a nice two-month stay in the hospital with half a dozen broken ribs and a shattered humorous. This messed with Peter a ton, and he began to fear his abilities. He attempted to learn to control his power with the help of the other soon-to-be Skulls, and soon discovered through experience that he could turn the power off and on.
When Peter was seventeen, the Race Riots happened, an event that would change his life forever. Peter was in a way part of the starting incident for the fighting. He and Damian saw a meta human woman being attacked in an alley, and decided to try and help. They beat up the assailants, but they were caught on camera. Thus, the Riots began. For weeks, there was fighting in the streets of East Mendel. fifty-six humans and sixteen metas were killed, and over a hundred of the two groups combined were injured. Peter spearheaded many metahuman attacks, causing him to gather many meta admirers who would someday become the first Skulls. He would use his abilities to go after humans with firearms, and was directly responsible for the deaths of eleven humans in the riots. One particular attack, however, went south and caused the terrible burns all across Peter’s body. There was a man named David Armstrong, an ex-marine who was holed up in a row home in River Hill, a neighborhood in East Mendel. He owned a powerful hunting rifle, and had used it to kill five metas. Peter decided to force Armstrong out of his home by setting it on fire, but he was driven into the house with two other metas (who won’t have names) by assailants with molotov cocktails and homemade bombs. The house, which was already on fire, now burned like a christmas tree in July. Peter managed to kill Armstrong by smothering him in burning curtains and throwing him out of a window, but shortly afterwards, the floor collapsed and Peter fell into the blazing inferno that was the second floor. A beam from the ceiling fell across Peter’s chest, making him unable to move. He was trapped there, alone and in pain (the other two metas had either bailed or died; he didn’t know which), for hours, until firefighters managed to control the blaze and Damian and Kylie were able to get him out and take him to the hospital. He never saw Amber Kiyoshi again.
The hospital could do very little for Peter; his face, head, back, shoulders, and arms were covered in third-degree burns, and skin grafts were too difficult to do back then (plus who would give a skin graft to street scum?). They treated him with creams and such, but they did very little to save him. He probably should have died, but somehow that sunnovabitch exceeded expectations and left the hospital earlier than expected, now covered in scars. He now had a new purpose in life; to protect metas from the humans who would dare to attack them out of pure fear. He formed the Skulls and took up the Skull balaclava to cover his face and prevent his scars from being seen by others. They grew rapidly, and soon East Mendel was dominated by the gang. He never returned home, and because of this his parents split up. For over a year, Peter’s father searched the city, looking for his son, but eventually gave up on it and retreated to his house to live the rest of his life as a depressed alcoholic. He committed suicide on September 15, 2013. Peter Osten did not attend the funeral. Peter Osten was dead; now, he was known as Skeleton, the face of metahuman vengeance and a symbol of fear across all Mendel.

Abilities

Power Class: Energy

Ability: Kinetic energy absorption. Skeleton has the ability to absorb kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is the energy contained in any physical object with mass that is accelerating (layman’s description here). With this power, Skeleton can nerf pretty much all physical attacks. If you punch Skeleton, your punch will do nothing and he will absorb its energy. If you shoot him, you might as well be firing a peashooter at a wall of concrete. This ability makes him extremely durable and hard to injure. And what can Skeleton do with this energy, you ask? Skeleton can store the energy he absorbs as potential energy, and release it at will. So if, for example, you throw a 90 mph fastball at Skeleton, he can absorb its kinetic energy on contact and then redirect it into a punch, or simply send the ball flying back with the same force and velocity. He can store the energy for long periods of time between use, and release it at will. Unlike other mutants who use this power (*coughsebastianshawcoughs*), Skeleton releases his energy on contact, meaning that he can’t make massive explosions, but if he fell off of a building and hit the ground, he could punch a tank and send it airborne. His strength is dictated solely by how much energy he has absorbed.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Well firstly, Skeleton has no defense against energy powers. Lasers, electricity; all of it can harm him. Secondly, the lower energy an attack has, the more damage it does to skeleton. This is hard to explain, so I’ll give an example from pop culture. In X-men, Sebastian shaw had a very similar power to Skeleton. Magneto killed Shaw by immobilizing him and then slowly pushing a quarter through his forehead and into his brain. If Skeleton is subjected to a low-energy attack like in this example, it will harm him. So, he can still be crushed or strangled. Skeleton can be harmed indirectly as well, however. Things like fire, drowning, radiation, smoke, gasses, and poisons can still hurt him because he cannot absorb any kinetic energy from them.

Other: Skeleton drives a custom-built 2014 Harley Davidson Iron 883 motorcycle. It is black with flame paint on the sides, and the headlight is shaped like a skull. The wheels have light strips on them, causing the rims to glow dark red at night.

Skeleton lives at the Skulls Headquarters in East Rail. It is a row of run-down row homes that were converted into one building.

Appearance

Hair Color: Whisper’s hair is a very dark red, almost brown, with a streak of purple and white on the left side. It is cut in a short bob.
Eye Color: Black, like the eyes of many Asian people are.
Ethnicity: ½ Japanese, ½ English
Physical Appearance: Whisper is a small girl with a thin, toned frame. She’s small and dangerous, with an appearance that reminds one of Bruce Li (though not quite as ripped). She’s an attractive girl, with bright eyes and rounded features, but her stern, harsh glare and laser-focused features make her seem foreboding and intimidating. Whisper’s eyebrows always look angry, and her eyes seem cold and deadly serious. Her smile appears as if it is lacking something, like a gem without a shine. She has small ears, one of which sticks out slightly from under her hair, and a soft, round nose. Whisper’s hair curves around her face like curtains on a stage, setting off her facial features just right. The streak in her hair travels along the left side of her bangs and comes down to end the curtain on the left side. No one really knows why Whisper has this, as vanity is normally not something that she capitalizes on, but most have come to believe that she just likes it there. Whisper’s throat is spanned by a jagged crimson scar left behind by a sizeable shard of broken glass. Whisper gets her nickname from this, as the shard that caused the scar permanently damaged her vocal cords, causing her voice to become quiet and hoarse. There is a small cut just above her left temple that blends into her hair. Whisper's voice is deeper than one would think, and is very weak; it's hard to hear what she's saying usually. She generally sounds like she has a bad sore throat.
Despite her rough lifestyle, Whisper’s body is rather well-kept, with few bad scars besides the one on her neck. The only other scar of prominence on her body, besides a small incision on her abdomen made when she had her appendix taken out, is a scar that goes across her right heel, near her achilles. She’s not your typical street-scum, and has good hygiene. Her nails are always perfectly cut, but are never polished; Whisper sees such things as needless vanity. The only tattoo on Whisper’s body is one on her left shoulder of The Crossed Keys, the symbol of the Vanguard.

Attire: Whisper more-or-less wears the same outfit every day, with a few different color variations. She wears a plain-color tee shirt, usually white, with a pair of jeans and her jacket. The jacket fits almost perfectly, cutting off about an inch below her waist while not being tight enough to suggest any sort of catsuit or sexually-arousing leather clothing. The jacket is tan in coloration, with the crossed keys on the back in gold and trimmed in white. The inside of the jacket is lined with a zip-out cream-colored fur lining which keeps Whisper warm when it’s cold. The jacket always contains several shurikens in an inside pocket. Another quintessential piece of Whisper’s wardrobe is her bandana; it is a normal red bandana that is tied around her neck like how cowboys used to wear them in the wild west. If she wishes to, she can pull it up to cover her nose and mouth, but normally she allows it to rest on her collarbone, where its shape is reminiscent of some sort of collar. She wears tan combat boots on her feet and a tan leather belt around her waist. On Whisper’s right wrist is a black Japanese bracelet made of polished wood beads. The Japanese symbol for strength is carved into one of the beads. Around her neck is a new addition to the Vanguard wardrobe that she is attempting to usher in; dog tags held on a leather cord.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Friends of Whisper often jokingly refer to her as two people: Amber and Whisper. When nothing perilous is happening, Amber is a fairly civil and sociable person. You won't find her partying hard, but she likes hanging out with the other Vanguard members. It’s not uncommon to see Whisper sitting at a local bar or restaurant with a few other Vanguards, sharing a beer or a meal. She’s very quiet due to her throat issues, however, so many people take her quiet listening as antisocialness. Amber very rarely speaks, and when she does, it is very, very quiet, so people often speak for her (this is one of Mamba’s many uses). She’s a fairly open person, and despite her lack of talking is actually pretty interesting to talk to. She texts a lot (because it doesn’t require speaking), and has a good memory (because she’s forced to be a good listener).
Then Amber Kiyoshi becomes Whisper. Many people have concluded from her behaviour that Whisper is bipolar, as her personality seems to shift dramatically into a sort of attack mode when something sets her off. Normally, this “something” is some kind of threat to her security, like hearing footsteps behind her in a dark alley or a gunshot. When in this form, Whisper is almost completely devoid of emotion. She is devoted to action, efficiency, and cold logic; the perfect soldier. Once Whisper goes into “kill mode”, it takes a while for the effects to wear off. Oftentimes, she leaves the presence of others and goes off alone for a while to cool off after these.
Both Whispers have one central personality trait in common; they are very, very clever. Whisper is a cold utilitarian, like Spock, giving her a major advantage in planning. She is a genius tactician, and is awesome at setting traps for enemies. This, however, can put others at risk, as she doesn’t mind occasionally using people as pawns. Once Amber becomes Whisper, she will do almost anything to achieve her goal. In some ways, Whisper is more bark than bite. Though she can be rather cruel in combat, she doesn’t have the stomach for torture and gets grossed out by gore. She tries to hide these things by saying that she’s above torture and maiming, but this is really more of a cover. She has a fear of venomous spiders.

Hobbies/Interests: Chess, logic puzzles, poker, parkour, martial arts, swordsmanship, collecting Japanese weapons, shooting, hunting, reading (she’s a fan of Cormac McCarthy and has read The Art of War no less than ten times), music (she likes Evanescence, My Chemical Romance, Fallout Boy, Panic At the Disco, Death Cab for Cutie, and a little Blink 182). Skills/Talents: Being the leader of a gang makes it so that you have to learn how to fight pretty damn well. Whisper is a master swordswoman, mostly self-trained. She knows enough martial arts to boost her hand-to-hand combat abilities, and is trained in parkour. She has picked up a lot of fighting techniques from the military, such as disarming techniques. History/Bio: Amber Kiyoshi was born in West Mendel. Her father was a banker in an investment firm, and her mother was a schoolteacher. Both were metas, and so Amber never found being meta odd. SHe always thought that there was something wrong with normal people, not the other way around. Being an only child, Amber was very spoiled, to the point of being smothered, and by the time she was a teenager had a serious rebellion phase. She went to a good school and got fairly good grades, but in high school began to associate with a bad crowd of people (ie Peter Osten, Kylie Detmer, and Damian Sparks). The drinking and smoking was cool and all, but a life of crime didn’t appeal to Amber as much as it did to Pete. Amber, having an affinity for mathematics and money, wanted to be an accountant, but never mentioned it to the others, because she knew they’d make fun of her. In reality, the Skulls were really more of an escape from her parents to Amber, and in retrospect she wonders how things would have turned out differently if she hadn’t hung out with them.
Amber’s life was changed forever when the Riots happened. In November of 2004, David Summers, a banker in West Mendel, was found dead on his way to work. The body showed signs of bad scarring and burn marks. People automatically assumed that meta humans were behind it, and when the courts found the only suspect, a meta named Raphael Johnson, to be not guilty, the city went to shit. The protests started out as peaceful, but after a group of kids tried to rape an innocent metahuman, Peter Osten and Damian Sparks decided that it would be a bright idea to rescue her and take down her attackers. This started a two-month shitstorm that spanned from February to the first week of April. At first, Amber fought alongside her friends, but after Skeleton tried to burn down a street of brick row homes, Amber decided that it was no longer worth her time to deal with these nuts.
She didn’t know that Skeleton would almost die in the fire he lit because there was no one who could drag him out of the flames. How was she supposed to know that? To this day, she feels guilty that Skeleton was so badly burned. While on the way home from the fire on her motorcycle, Amber was jumped by a group of men and was hit by an SUV. Her powers kept her from splattering against a wall and dying, but her right leg was shattered and a piece of glass slit her throat. She would have died laying in that alley bleeding to death, if someone hadn’t pulled her into their car and taken her to the hospital. To this day, she doesn’t know who did this; she was too busy not-dying. Amber spent nine months recovering from her injuries, but after almost a dozen surgeries, the doctors couldn’t repair her vocal chords. There was just too much damage. This is where she got the name “Whisper”.
Whisper’s family left Mendel after the riots, and Amber lived in Dallas for four years. She got an AA degree in accounting, but she decided that she didn’t like accounting at all; it was much too boring. She tried a few other things like statistics and economics, but nothing really stuck. She graduated from University of Maryland at age twenty-two, with a degree in economics and a bad taste in her mouth. She had no idea what she wanted to do, and so she tried her hand at the stock market and went into the investment business. This lead her back to Mendel, after a five-year hiatus. It was now 2008, and the city was in bad shape. The Skulls were in power now, and while they had yet to do much damage to West Mendel, much of East Mendel was ruined, especially the River Hill neighborhood, which had once been prime real estate.
Bored, stuck in a dead-end job (you can’t give a presentation if you can’t speak) and possibly out of her mind, Whisper thought back to her days of comic books. What if she could become a superhero? Maybe she could clean the city up and make it beautiful again. Excited to finally find meaning in her life, Whisper began to train to be a vigilante. One benefit to her college experience was that a friend of her’s had gotten her interested in fencing, causing both the beginning of Whisper’s swordsmanship and her love of weaponry. Whisper began taking martial arts courses, and studied many forms of combat. Finally, after about six months of training and honing her skills with her sword (and with her power), Whisper went to stop her first crime; a bank robbery.
She woke up in the ER a day and a half later with two bullet holes in her gut. This changed Whisper drastically, and she realized that she could not fight the city’s crime alone. After getting out of the hospital, she met up with Emilio Elias, a friend of her’s from martial arts classes, and together they founded the Vanguard, an organization made up to protect meta human rights in West Mendel and to prevent crime.
Five years later, the Vanguard is a fairly sizeable gang, though not as big as the Skulls. It “protects” meta humans and generally leaves normal humans alone, though is known to clash with police if they attempt to detain a metahuman for a crime that they did not commit. At the top of this criminal pyramid is Amber Kiyoshi, the girl who wanted more.

Power: Ancient stories from Feudal Japan tell of the Ninjas, an elite squadron of commando samurai that served the emperor himself. It is said that the ninjas were deadly accurate with shurikens, and that they were so stealthy they could disappear into a cloud of dust to escape detection. Whisper shares that age-old ability, the power to turn into dust. The obvious ramifications of her power is a degree of intangibility. Once she is dust, Whisper is immune to damage. Whisper also doesn’t need to breathe in this form, so toxic gasses cannot hurt her. To deal with poisoning, Whisper can turn into dust and perform a sort of detox process where she removes the poisoned cells from the dust form. This makes her immune to both disease and poison. Whisper can control the movement of her dust also, allowing her to use it for both teleportation or offensive purposes. She can vanish into dust in the middle of a battle and reappear behind her enemy, poised to cleave them in two. Being in the Vanguard has made her so skilled at her power that she can morph into dust instantly and return to normal just as instantly. Anything Whisper is touches, except for living things, turns to dust with her, including weapons and other objects. Whisper cannot heal herself using her power, but she can put herself in a kind of stasis where she can’t bleed or become more wounded. This allows her in theory to get to help quickly without bleeding out.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Firstly, there is an energy limit to Whisper’s shifting just like anyone else. She can only turn to dust so many times before she gets too tired to do so anymore. Secondly, wind. While Whisper can indeed control the movement of her own dust, a strong gust of wind can still scatter her dust and make it extremely difficult for her to put herself back together. All of the pieces of Whisper’s dust must be used to put her back together, so capturing or blowing away any part of her prevents her from morphing back. If she does morph back with a piece missing, she cannot heal from it, even if the other dust is returned. I should specify however, that I mean “strong wind”; Whisper isn’t going to be walking through the park and get blown away by a light breeze. It’s a given that Whisper cannot communicate with others while in dust form. Also, while Whisper can remove poisons from her body using her dust, if the poison takes effect before she can react to it, she will still feel the effects. Another issue with Whisper’s powers is that she’s not breathing

Other: An important aspect of Whisper is that she doesn’t see the Vanguard as a gang of criminals; she sees them almost like a meta police force. Because of this, she will deny at the any and all criminal activity done by the group as libel.

Whisper lives in a luxury apartment in the upper east side of the financial district. It’s a two-floor apartment, square in shape, and about 40ft x 40ft. The largest part of the place is the living room, which is separated by the kitchen and parlor by short staircase (it’s very hard to describe). The walls of the living room are massive tinted windows that allow Whisper to watch the city from above. Whisper pays for the apartment with a combination of payment money she receives from normal humans living in Vanguard territory.

Physical Appearance: Ray is a neat looking individual, he also has that shady vibe. Like he's totally up to no good. He is very short and weighs 152 pounds. Ray has a muscular build, nothing like a bodybuilder, of course. He got it from years of working hard, and his body does show a bit of strain. Ray is Caucasian, and of Ukrainian and Russian descents. His skin is smooth and good looking, slightly tanned, but not without it's scars. Because of the way Ray lived his life, he got plenty of scars from fights and other precarious situations. His body is covered in scars under all that clothing. He has quite a large one on his arm, it appears like a slashing scar. Starting at the base of his shoulder going down to his elbow. He also has a another small slashing scar over his eye. Because I just can't resist giving my characters facial scars! Other than that, Ray has a few moles and here and there. Ray can be called good-looking, his handsomeness is more of the rough variety, if you catch my drift. Ray's head is average sized and heart shaped. Ray's face is squared and his facial features are pronounced and well defined. He has a sharp/strong jawline. The most defined part of his face is his average-sized chin, that sticks out a little bit. He has a large nose, with a long bridge and wide, round, nostrils. His eyes are small, and have a beautiful blue color, which are a bit smaller than the rest of his face. They are always seemingly concealed under his sunglasses. His forehead is wide, but other than that, not too big. Ray always has a blank or aggressive face on. Ray's hair is black colored and neatly slicked back. He has a bit of facial hair growing, a beard is coming in fast, right now it's a stubble.

Attire: Ray has a tough-guy style, and dresses heavily, but he'll will wear just about anything. From hoodies, to polo-shirts, to jeans, he isn't picky when it comes to style. His favorite color is black, so he tends to wear outfits of darker colors. Sometimes he'll wear hats, like baseball caps. He's always seen wearing sunglasses. Any kind of sunglasses really. His favorite kind is his Oil-Rig Sunglasses (They look like this). Which are either over his eyes, or hanging off around his neck (At night). Ray also likes to wear gloves too. Mostly finger-less gloves.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Ray gives people mixed signals when they're around him. For starters, Ray appears as the stoic, gruff kind of person that rarely shows any emotion. Ray prefers doing work, opposed to social situations. Because work/business is where he's really at home. He tries to be nice most of the time, except in his own rough way. He can be rude sometimes and cross lines, unintentionally, though. He knows when he crosses the lines and feels a bit of guilt as a result. Ray isn't too good at apologies, and tends to get himself in worse situations, which is why he rarely apologizes. Instead, he'll try to improve and not do it again - Because that's better than apologizing! Ray can come off as a bit of an @ss sometimes. He's quick to get annoyed and aggravated, and oh boy, it will show. He'll usually express his irritation in some way. Ray is a person who's overwhelmingly adamant and stubborn. He'll fight/argue for what he believes in. Ray is also the kind of person who doesn't give any f*cks about what people think of him. He does what he wants to, d*mn what people may think. Speaking of which, Ray prefers to do things by himself. Not saying he's anti-social, he's as social as anyone else. He just prefers going alone because he won't have anyone to worry about but himself. But, if it calls for it, Ray will work with just about anyone as long as they don't piss him off/aren't useless.

Hobbies/Interests: As stated above, Ray is an "all work" kind of person. Who prefers work to fun. There are, however, a few things that Ray likes to do/is good at. Ray likes martial arts, specifically karate. He's an orange belt, but he's far more experienced than trained. In a way, you could say that he was trained through experience. He can fist fight quite well. Other than that, Ray likes baseball, and is good at that too. He mostly likes to watch it more than anything though.

Power Class: Cerebral

Power: Telekinetic Shadow. Ray is a telekinetic, just far from your traditional Telekinetic. Where the average telekinetic just lifts things up with their minds, he takes a more... direct route. Ray can create telekinetic constructs out of telekinetic energy, Green Lantern-style, which are exact replicas of any of his body parts (Before you ask: yes, yes he can). Known as Telekinetic Limbs. These constructs are a dark-blue color and are heavily transparent (Their edges glow darker). These limbs are linked to Ray's body, and whatever Ray does, the limb will do exactly. For example, if he punches, so will the limb. If he does a grabbing motion, the limb will grab whatever in it's reach. These limbs are a bit more durable than his regular body parts, they're very resistant to element-type damage (Such as Electricity), but not resistant to physical (Blunt, slashing, etc). They'll usually break under the same physical pressure that would break any other body-part. Now, Ray can also control the size of these limbs, from small, to gargantuan size. Which makes his ability twenty-times stronger than he normally is. They can be the exact same size of said body part, really tiny, or up to the size of an 18-wheeler truck. These constructs have durability and strength proportionate to their size. Say, normal sized limbs are just as strong as Ray's normal body-parts, 18-Wheeler sized limbs can knock down walls and lift up big rigs. These limbs also have full senses. Depending on what it's a shadow of; these limbs can touch, smell, hear, taste, and see. Which can allow him a form of long distance sensing. This ability has a versatile and wide range of uses, which makes Ray a very powerful Meta in and out of fights. His power had developed far earlier than average, so he has a bit of skill with his ability.

Telekinetic Aura. It's a normally invisible field that surrounds Ray, usually becoming visible once he activates his powers, or can be seen by Cerebral types. This Aura gifts Ray with a package of abilities. The most obvious ability is Tactile Telekinesis. A weak/basic form of Telekinesis that requires physical contact in order to move it telekinetically. When he uses his telekinesis, a dark blue aura will wrap around the object, and will prevent it from falling apart because he's moving all of it at once, it also gives Ray a mental map of the object. Ray can lift up to a ton in weight, and allow him to enhance his physical attacks. This ability often gives people the impression that Ray has super-strength. The Telekinetic Aura also grants him the famed ability of flight; Ray can fly, glide, levitate, and float, by using Telekinesis on himself to take flight. The fastest he can fly is 30 miles per hour (He can preform short "dashes" and triple that speed), and can fly with great maneuverability. So while he can't fly impressively fast, he can fly with immense control. Ray's Telekinetic Aura also grants him a high-resistance to other telekinetic abilities. He'll easily be able to resist even the most powerful telekinetic techniques.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: While Ray has a powerful ability, I have to make up some drawbacks/limits or else he'll be OP. There's a short effective range that Ray's power has. His power can only be used effectively within twenty-five meters of himself, outside of that range his abilities are far weaker the further they go. Any damage that these telekinetic limbs receive, the pain will be transferred straight to Ray. Specifically, his real body. Which can be quite painful, and can knock him unconscious with the right amount of damage. If any of these Telekinetic limbs are destroyed, then Ray will temporarily lose the ability to use said limb on his actual body for a period of time - Up to a few minutes. In order for Ray to properly use this ability, he needs freedom of movement. Restrain him completely, and his ability will be useless. If his body is restricted in the slightest, then you'll impede him. Ray can only keep these limbs materialized for a few minutes at a time. Afterwards, they'll disappear into nothing. Giant limbs can only be kept materialized for even less time. This ability is line-of-sight based, putting obstructions of vision in front of him will impede him. In drawn out fights his opponent has the advantage. Because using his ability often in rapid succession will cause these limbs to get weaker in terms of strength and durability. He has to take a break in order for his limbs to get back to full power.

Tactile telekinesis requires touch, and has a less than impressive weight limit (Compared to his telekinetic shadow). It's also heavily dependent on Ray's willpower and mental strength, which means if it wans then so does the strength of his tactile telekinesis.Like his tactile telekinesis, it depends on willpower, and mental strength - In addition to concentration. Break those, and his ability won't work at all. Ray's Telekinetic Aura will give out for a few minutes after excessive use, lifting a particularly heavy object, etc. Once his Aura goes, his all his telekinetic sub-powers will go with it. All of his powers are heavily concentration dependent. Break his concentration, even for a moment, and all of his telekinetic abilities will be canceled out.

Physical Appearance: Caden is a man with some odd vibes about him, he looks strange and to some downright silly. He has a very slim build, he's very tall. With some rather abnormally long limbs, his arms and legs are long. With his legs making up most of his immense height. He doesn't have any visible muscles or body-fat on him. In fact, if he takes off his clothes; most would faintly see his bones poking through his skin. He has rather thin shoulders. Caden has slightly tanned skin, his skin takes a darker shade of Caucasian. With many imperfections littering his skin. Most of these imperfections come in the form of scars. Over the years, Caden has intentionally gotten himself in some pretty vicious fights. Fights that'd leave people scarred for life. These scars vary in type, size and appearance (Some are burn scars, some are blade scars, you get the picture). They are scattered around his skin, and there's too many to note. None really stand out anymore. Fortunately, there are very few scars on his face. Except for one straight scar over his right eye. Caden is a very attractive looking person, despite his scars and personality. He has feminine, near androgynous facial features. Some could easily mistake him for a girl if they look at him from certain angles.

Caden has a bony, yet rounded face. He has a small, inverted triangle shaped head. Which is wide at the top, and gets thinner and thinner as it goes down. Caden has a pointed chin, with a strong, sharp jaw-line to match. His cheekbones are round at the top, and get thinner and much more squared as it goes down. Similar to his head. He has a very small nose, with a small, thin bridge and large round nostrils. It's rather notable since his nose is very small compared to his other facial features. He has a small forehead, that is short, but wide in a way. Caden's eyes are a bit larger than average, they are mostly round, and have some pointed tips. There is something undeniably odd about his eyes, which are a side-effect of his powers. His iris's are pitch black, no natural color or anything. He still has the white around his iris, though. So, it's only really noticeable when someone looks in his eyes (Of madness). These eyes also look a bit feminine, adding much to his feminine vibe. He has thin average sized lips, that aren't too different or noticeable from other males. He has light freckles plastered across his face, most are around his cheeks, under his nose. Caden, when neutral, has a constant bored or emotionless facial expression. When happy, or "excited" his face often matches those depicted in movies as the killer - Meaning he just looks crazy. Caden's hair is a jet-black color, and appears unnatural. His hair is straight, and can grow to be quite long. Caden keeps his hair in the form of several large dreadlocks all over his head, which are all medium-length. Which gives him a humorous look - Despite his vicious personality. Caden constantly speaks with a smooth, charming British accent like the ones you'd see on TV.

Attire: On the "job" Caden likes to wear long coats, and cloaks. Something that makes him look mysterious. He tends to walk around without his arms in the sleeves, he uses his power to keep his sleeves from falling. Otherwise, Caden is seen wearing a hoodie (Usually), and sweat pants. Dressing rather blandly when out on the streets. Still, he looks rather shady in it, like a rapist.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: A certified creep. The kind of person you wouldn't want your kids near. People around him have certainly realized what a strange person he is. He tends to take the whole "gang-boss" thing to it's illogical extreme. He honestly sees himself as a super-villain in a cartoon. He tends to engage in comical acts of villainy, or acting over the top as possible. Because Caden LOVES his dramatics. What fun is committing crime and fighting rivals if you can't let off some steam? He exhibits many traits of sociopathy, barely showing any emotional reactions (Sometimes mimicking other people's reactions), superficial charm, and illusions of grandeur. He is also completely oblivious to social norms. He will violate space, say strange things, stalk people, or won't understand some things. Merely because he believes himself as above them, and ultimately insignificant. Why does he view them as insignificant? Because Caden believes that Meta-humans are the master-race. They deserve the planet, and he's their messiah. Thus, his interests are less of the Skulls, and more of helping Meta-kind. To him, he's truly neutral. He's less inclined to kill people that are meta-humans, sparing them. He'll even help them if it isn't too detrimental to him.

Power Class: Elemental/Cerebral

Power: Inner-Darkness Manipulation. Everyone has a "darkness" inside of them. Their vile thoughts, negative emotions, doubt, sin, crimes... It builds up inside of people, and Caden can see it in people. He can sense people, and since everyone has a darkness inside of them, it's quite the people sense. When people are packed together it's near impossible to pick them apart. It's a rather irritating part of his gift. Since it takes much concentration to pick people's separate darkness apart.. Caden has quite a few usages with people's inner-darkness. First, manifest it in reality as either a smoky form, or a liquid-form, and shape it in any way imaginable. He can solidify either form to create literally anything. From weapons, to walls, to imitations of people. In fights, he usually makes shadow tentacles. Simple enough, right? Now, Caden can also transform into this darkness, and as you may have guessed, he can shape himself in literally any way. Turn his hands into weapons, or shape into another person altogether. He usually stretches his body parts to extend their reach. Caden can be the solid, smoky, or liquid form. Which itself expands his capabilities. For starters, he can go literally anywhere that isn't airtight. Next, he can fly while he's in it's smoky form. However, turning into it's smoky form will not give him intangibility, he'll still be able to be touched like anyone else. This ability also grants him a mental "dark-spot". If anyone with a telepathic, or other cerebral-type ability tries to enter his mind, all they'll see is darkness. This power grants him complete immunity to all cerebral powers that could affect his mind. The darkness Caden creates isn't "true" darkness, merely a manifestation of a metaphorical and abstract concept.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: The polar-opposite to darkness is light and pureness. For the former, being under bright lights (Any light really) can weaken his ability. Under harsh light, the darkness he creates will disappear. Though, it has to be excessively bright lights. Mere sunlight, and ambient light, won't cause that much of a difference. However, while in darkness form, bright lights can severely damage him. People with pure motives have an easier time fighting Caden, since their pureness will greatly weaken his darkness driven abilities, and his powers can’t attack them with as much force as he normally could. Caden's power also runs on fuel, the same fuel that he gets from people. The more people that are around, the more powerful he becomes, and vice-versa. If he's in a desolate area, he'll be weaker. If he's alone with one other person, then he'll barely have enough darkness to make tissue paper. His mental dark-spot also has a weakness. It only works if he's at full strength, if he gets too injured/distracted it won't work. While in darkness form, Caden has a small light on his body that represents his inner-light. If anyone strikes this area, he will turn back to normal and will be severely stunned.

People who encounter him immediately realize that he's quite the gruff person. Despite this, Samson emanates an aura of kindness, determination, that betrays this rough appearance. He seemingly appears like the leader of any group, who'd rush out and have an adventure. Samson obviously appears to be African-American, his skin is a very dark shade of brown, nearly black. Upon close examination, people may realize that his skin is coated in large, black freckles. He also has plenty of scars on his body, obviously implying that he's been in several brutal battles in the past, and implies that he has injuries that he shouldn't have been able to survive. He has a massive slashing scar at his gut, that appears on his gut and his back. Like he was impaled, but survived, or did he? Other than that, Samson has a variety of knife scars on his arms, and chest. There's a conspicuous scar of a slash across Samson's throat that implies that his throat has been sliced before. Finally, there's a scar that encompasses Samson's foot, right above the ankle, implying that it's been cut off. That out of the way, he has an intricate pattern of tattoos. The first tattoo that he has is on his right cheek. It appears to be an eagle with it's wings spread, covered in flames that are angled downwards. Like the phoenix is taking flight. The other tattoo he has is on the left side of his chest. This tattoo is of the sun and is very tribal-like. The "flames" of the sun extends far enough to reach his shoulder, belly and the top of his neck. His arms are covered in a tribal-style wreath of flames, starting below his shoulder, going up to his hands.

Samson is quite the attractive fellow. His facial features are very strong, and bulky. Samson has a tear-drop shaped head, and square shaped face. His head seemingly gets smaller as someone would go down. His chin looks odd compared to the rest of his face. His chin seems to stick out from the bottom of his head. It's appears to be much larger than average and is a double chin. He has a very sharp and pronounced jawline. His cheeks are wide, in almost all other categories they are average. His nose is mostly medium/average sized, he has a very long nose bridge. His lips are thin and small, most people won't find his lips to be too noticeable. His eyes are small, colored brown and usually has a look of determination in them. Samson has long, straight hair that is a deep black color, and styled in the fashion of thick dreadlocks. These dreadlocks hang off the back of his head.

Attire: Samson has a lowly, out on of the town style of clothing. He likes to wear jackets of any kind, and jean pants. Most of the time he does try his best to wear something different every day. There's several things consistent about him when he goes out is three things. Samson wears a tan straw-hat fedora with a string that hoists it to his head. He's absolutely never seen without this hat. This hat is either resting on the top of his head, or hanging off the back of his neck hoisted by that string. Samson's always wearing gold-tinted goggles over his eyes, it helps with his power a bit. Especially when he's flying around, he likes to keep bugs out of his eyes.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Naturally people see Samson as a good person, the kind of guy who always makes people seem at ease. He displays an impressive amount of leadership skills, and is charismatic enough to make allies very easily. He looks out for his friends, and will never leave a man behind. Samson is always a determined person, when ever he gets into something he'll always see it through. Even if it's stupid or won't end well for him. In his eyes everything will end well in one way or another. Apart of his upbringing also demands that he never (consciously) break a promise. Samson has a code of honor that he set up for himself. He'll always show honor to people and never will he disgrace or trick people - Even if they're his opponents. In truth he only has this honor system to make himself seem important and good compared to everyone else. Samson is a strong, hardened person, who has been strengthened by what he's been through in the past. He tries to never show weaknesses, and always appear at his prime, even if he's in the middle of some pretty damaging emotional and physical trauma. Thus, he's the kind of guy who never lets people into his "fortress", nor will he share his feelings, unless he really has faith and uppermost trust in someone.

He's very slow to anger, and tends to brush most insults off very easily, but once he gets really fired up, he tends to be quite hard to control, and may lose rational thought. He's a guy that's just a natural born warrior. He grew up fighting to defend himself, and hell, he really had experience to teach him. In fact, this goes far enough that the man grew up with a love for combat, and the rush he gets from it. Samson really believes that he's so powerful, that most basic opponents are just a breeze for him. He long for an opponent that could match him, a challenge that he needs to give his all to overcome. Which was apart of the reason that he joined Vanguard - He sees that opponent in the Skulls. When Samson fights, he fights with zero regards for himself and his personal safety, as he believes himself to be invincible. Anything hits him, he'll heal, and if he gets killed, he'll come back.

Skills/Talents: Samson has a few. Samson has earned his red-belt in Karate, and is a very good fist fighter, experience had taught him to be good. He practices often. His body is also seemingly at his prime from all the strength training he's done. Apart of his self-training, Samson has picked up a few medical skills, just in case, and knows how to use a first aid kit. He knows how to use a gun, and has acquired his gun license, not that he needs to use a gun. His aim is pretty b*tchin'.

Power: Phoenix. Putting it plain and simple, Samson is the legendary Phoenix. The fire-bird, and he has a wide array of fire based abilities. However, Samson is currently unaware of his true ability, he knows of two abilities: his pyromancery, regeneration, and flight. First and foremost, Samson is capable of creating infinite amounts of fire, controlling all fires, controlling the heat and intensity of fire, generating heat, and changing the color of fire. One unique ability Samson has is that he can control what his fire burns. Anything he doesn't want to burn will get soothingly warm. Thus making friendly-fire (No pun intended) a nonissue. The second phoenix ability that Samson possess is regeneration. Samson's kept at his prime because of his constantly regenerating cells. His regeneration isn't on par with, say, wolverine. But wounds will heal amazingly fast. Any wound he gets will be wreathed in fire, until the wound is gone. Samson can heal small wounds instantly, moderate wounds in seconds, and major wounds in minutes. Samson's tears have a healing property, thus, if he cries on someone, their cells will be repaired and healed. Finally, Samson can wreath himself in fire and fly around. He is capable of fast flying, and mobility while in the air.

Below are the abilities he is unaware of

Phoenix Form. While he's currently unaware of it, Samson is capable of transforming into the legendary fire-bird itself. The first trait of this ability is that this transformation is less like a transformation, and more like a mech-suit. It builds a creature made out of solid flames, while keeping Samson, the core, protected. Any damage that the phoenix body will receive will not transfer to him, but his phoenix body possess the same degree of regeneration that Samson does. His Phoenix-form has the exact appearance of a Bearded Vulture (Except made of fire!). Down to the wings, beaks, talons, and other features. His Phoenix form is large, standing at 24ft tall and having a wingspan of 44ft. His phoenix form is insanely hot and bright, casting a light in all directions. Obviously, the first thing Samson can do while in Phoenix mode is fly. While he's not that agile or swift, he can go quite fast (120 Mph). This Phoenix form gives Samson some large and powerful talons, allowing him to slash foes with super heated flames. This form also gives him a great degree of strength, capable of easily lifting cars and breaking holes in walls with little damage down to Samson. Being a phoenix also greatly enhances his pryomancery abilities. It increases his range to a macro-level, he can create more flames, and make them much hotter and more intense than before. Truly making him a threat. In Phoenix form, Samson can also control ash and soot, which is a fairly powerful element on it's own. Samson is capable of selectively transforming parts of his body into the phoenix form (Like his arms into wings) to gain some of it's power.

Self-Resurrection. Samson possesses the famed power of the phoenix, self-resurrection. Once killed, Samson explodes into a cloud of fire, ash, and smoke, effectively leaving no body behind. Days later, all the ash will gather, and he'll be born anew, brought back to physical state where he died. With all of his memories and his body in perfect state. Thus, Samson is more or less immortal.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Samson's weakness is the cold, and water. Throwing water on his fire will extinguish it. Throwing water on Samson will greatly weaken all of his abilities, and cut him off from his phoenix form. Tossing him into a body of water can also be lethal, because being submerged in water will gradually drain his strength until he's power, oh, and he physically can't swim (Like in One Piece). Dying of drowning will kill Samson permanently. Other elements that extinguish flames are also effective against him. While Samson has regeneration and self-resurrection; he's not invincible. He can be killed the same ways anyone else can. You can also stop his resurrection by throwing his ashes into a body of water - Thus killing him for good. Introducing water in his ashes will also slow down his revival.

He’s a kind of person you have to have an acquired taste for to like, which is a nice way of saying he’s a bit of a dick sometimes. This being said while he is an asshole from time to time he is surprisingly well liked (this reason alludes even him) and thought as humorous. He is a good friend when he needs to be though, knowing when to stop with the satire and be there for someone.

Relationships: Placeholder, he’s only been in the vanguard for about a year and a half, and while he’s probably one of the more powerful and experienced meta humans, he has yet to show his ability, as he’s a mechanic and hasn’t been on the front lines much. Due to this he hasn't met anyone notable, and no one has really gone out of their way to talk to him.

Power Class: Super System, Cosmic, Elemental, Energy.
Power: Nick has the ability to control Electromagnetism on a very high level. Not quite to the level of Magneto, but he does have the power to use it in just about every other way. His ability extends to magnetizing otherwise nonmagnetic metals and objects, such as wood or your feet, and can effectively stick you to the floor and make it very difficult for you move, or move at all. His ability usually manifests itself in combat as a form of electromagnetic telekinesis. He can apply it in many incredible ways, such as EMP generation, the detections He also has the ability to detect electricity based waves, and disperse electricity or energy based attacks with very little effort. I’d refer to the page of Electromagnetism to see it’s potential applications, but be mindful he hasn’t had the time and experience required to master the more advanced techniques. Nick also has minor enhanced healing. Nothing even close to wolverine level, but enough for small things to heal fairly quickly. Nick also has very limited telekinetic abilities to his power that allow him to do the unexplainable with things he does magnetically.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: His powers give out after overuse. This can usually be seen when his nose begins to bleed. Magnetism is relatively ineffective if you're too far away. His ability is limited to his experience level, and he doesn’t know everything about it. He can’t pull the iron out of your blood, don’t worry. His ability can be overused, just like any other power, and physically he’s just any other human and just as weak to physical punches as any other normal person. I’d just recommend coming at him with something not made of metal. Nonmetallic objects, while capable of being magnetized and used, take more time and energy to control to the same degree metals can be. He doesn’t NOT have the ability to manipulate electricity, only the ability to disperse it and to not be affected by it. In order to block an electrical attack he must be paying attention to it and ready for the incoming attack. He is not constantly immune to the power. His power manifests itself indirectly and almost telekinetically. The only difference between it and telekinesis is that living beings are immune to being magnetized and that his power manifests itself indirectly by basically throwing objects at peoples. If you are big enough and strong enough to catch said object, you’re alright, and if you can shoot it out of the air you’re alright. If you can overcome his pull telekinetically you’re also alright. His ability to telekinetically bend objects is limited to metal, and while he can throw things with it, he doesn’t have the ability to bend and manipulate nonmetallic objects such as wood like he can metal.

Byte is a very beautiful young woman, much more attractive than what most would think for her lifestyle half the time. She has no real visible blemishes on her body, save for a few scars on her hands and on her chin, and for what looks to be a scar from a bullet that skimmed her right arm. She has long dark brown hair that reached to the bottom of her shoulder blades, which is more often than not tied into a fishtail braid. She also has bands that go just below her eyebrows. Byte has a triangular shaped body, with hips slightly wider than her chest. Her breasts are nothing super impressive, but are a respectable 36B. Her height works against her chest size. Byte’s height is due to her relatively long legs, which make her taller than the average girl. Byte’s has a thin heart shaped face, with full lips and a small nose. She has almond shaped, blue eyes that are an average distance apart with a normal sized forehead. This is a good way to imagine her appearance if my description was bad. Her body is fairly toned and strong, especially her arms, as he has built up enough muscle to resist the kickback of the guns she fires. She’s not overly muscular, but she does have some girl power to her.

Attire: Byte here wears mainly cargo pants and a brown or black tank top, with some combat boots and fingerless gloves. Around her neck is a necklace she made herself. It’s just a simple leather strip that she tied together at the end with a USB at the end of it. She uses this USB for jobs with Rush and Ray. She has two .5 Caliber Desert Eagles strapped to her hips at all times. One of which has an extended clip built by Rush for her, the other has a tactical light. More often than not she’ll have a headset around her heck of on her head, and a pair of sunglasses that she normally hooks onto her belt. Her headset can function as either a sound suppressor for when she’s shooting, or for radio, as one of it’s cables hooks up to a radio strapped to her wrist near her guns. She also tends to carry a Taser in one of her pants pockets, and there is a throwing knife in both of her socks. She’s no good at throwing them, but hey, she’s got the option.

Outward & Innate Personality: Incredibly powerful and adept technomind capable of understanding, designing, creating, and hacking any form of software or hardware, and has limited control over non electrical hardware such as guns, door locks, etc. Extremely intelligent, far beyond what any would consider a normal human (she scored over perfect on the SAT by figuring out the pattern of prime numbers, people are still scratching their heads on that one). Despite this she is still a twenty five year old woman with spunk and has a short temper. Coupled with the fact that she’s very attractive (she’s very aware of this fact) she often gets pissed off easily and if not for the rest of her group she’s probably be in jail for shooting up a bar. Some would almost consider her sociopathic based on how willing she is to put a bullet in a person’s brain if they become useless. Has a gun fetish. She’s big into overkill. History/Bio:
Byte’s always grown up a bit of an odd and rebellious one. She’s always been good at making money is unethical ways, so as soon as she turned 18 her parents pretty much kicked her out. Byte, for a very long time, has known about her power and immediately put it to use. How? CRAIGSLIST THAT’S HOW!

That means she tracked down a randomly chosen user’s IP, then proceeded to track down the information linked to that IP, and then pretty much take their life savings while transferring it to an ATM in the city (a different one every time to keep the police from catching on). It was like winning the lottery except the opposite. Her story in being a hired gunman began in a bar after she won a drinking game with a person who held their alcohol especially well. After getting drunk and earning some extra money, she nearly got raped. Not that she really remembers any of this. She was pretty much black out drunk at the time. All she remembers was waking up in a room with a not stuck to her forehead that said ‘Nice shooting’ with a number stuck to it. After some back tracing she was able to bring herself to call. This is where her gun fetish began, and her story as a sniper continues to this day in her spare time. She does clean work, quick, silent, and leaves no trace. Just like everything she does. She makes it look like an accident. She’s made a few mistakes like any human, nearly got shot in a police chase, the bullet skinning off of her arm, but she wasn’t caught, and no one has seen her face. So as far the police, and her, are concerned, the case is still under investigation.

She met Rush and Ray on Piratebay’s offshore site. She was hired to work with Rush by Piratebay to design a firewall for some of their offshore databases. They did clean work, faster than she could do alone, and using this she tracked Rush down and after some convincing via email they met on some middle ground and established a little hub of their own to make some cash. Rush brought Ray along for some hired muscle. As long as he “[...]doesn’t touch her food,” he was all good to her.

Byte is essentially the ctOS network from Watch_Dogs, except a person. She is capable of separating herself from her body and essentially hacking into just about anything electronic in existence. She can take all of your money, watch every move you make from cameras, change traffic lights, raise bridges, etc, making her incredibly dangerous in a city environment. In stressful situations, she can trigger huge blackouts that knock out the lights and let the world fall into total darkness. She’s incredible support for her allies and living hell for her enemies. Essentially, she will change traffic lights upon request for allies who are in a car chase to all green as soon as they’re though and cause a sixteen car pile up to either block or crush their pursuers. She is also able to monitor the city and work from home. Due to her ability to separate herself from her body, she can insert herself into her allies phones or into her USB for work away from home while still staying at home. If Rush or Ray want her to do something discretely they can shove her USB into a computer and go do whatever they need to do and then pick her up later. She’s great for providing support to her allies in situations like these and giving them advantages that their opponents don’t have. She is also capable of manipulating non electronic devices, but not nearly as well as Rush is. She might be able to manipulate a lock unto being unlocked or locked, but she isn’t able to jam a gun at will.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Whenever she separates herself from her body, her body pretty much falls unconscious. So she’s very weak in these situations. She is capable of using this to her advantage by smearing blood on herself and then exiting her body. Makes for a great corpse impersonation, but this usually has more downsides than it does upsides in most situations. She’s also not immune to her own power outages and can pretty much do nothing more than wait for it to come back online. If she is shut down, or if her USB or whatever she is in during transport is smashed while she’s in it, she won’t be killed, but she will wake up gasping in shock after she literally experienced death without actually dying, and will lock herself into her room for a while and play Scribblenauts or other assorted feel good games and will be unable to use her power for a few days. Whether she won’t or is unable to use her power she will not disclose, as she really doesn’t speak to anyone during this time. If her body is killed with her in it, she dies. If her body is killed while she is not in it, her consciousness will exist as a computer program until she gets shut down again. After this, she’s basically a normal human in terms of strength and healing ability.

Outward & Innate Personality: Matt gives no fucks, although in a somewhat classier way that what some may think. Rather than doing things for sheer fun, he does things to get the rise out of people to give him an emotional advantage. He tends to be an okay guy to be around if he doesnt have a reason to push you though. Coming from a gang, Matthew has learned a lot about people and tries to not to count on anybody over himself. He's a strong believer in "If you want it done right, do it yourself."

Growing up was tough for him, and he learned to savor the bonds he makes and to very carefully choose whom you make the bonds with. He has recently become the leader of one of the most powerful gangs in the world, and he’s going to have to keep that title. Matthew is an extremely powerful meta human, who has Omnikinesis, and a near Complete Arsenal as his power. Matthew, given the training, time, and resources, can learn to manipulate just about anything in existence. He is able to shift between different powers based on sources of said power. Say he also had the ability to control fire. He would be able to switch between those two powers at will by absorbing their source. For electricity, he would stuff a paperclip in a power socket to charge himself up. He also has the ability to use other meta human's abilities as sources of power. If someone were shooting electricity at him, he would be able to absorb said electricity as a source. If another meta human was using fire, he would be able to reach over and absorb some of their fire to charge his ability. Matt also has power anchoring built in to his power set (mainly to give Allen the middle finger), making his ability uncopyable, hard to weaken though non physical means, and impossible to be altered with permanently.

Current Power(s):
Matthew currently has self taught himself Biokinesis. Not the kind that manipulates other’s biology, but more of his own mass. This power allows him incredible feats of physical prowess, allowing him run up walls, launching himself much father than what a normal human, or surround himself with a biological suit of armor, superhuman physical capabilities. He can also manipulate his biological mass to form claws, blades, clubs, etc. This power can also grant him incredible regenerative abilities. He actually generated this power and got ideas for applications from a video game.

Matthew has also gained the ability to control Electricity, and after developing the power for a few months has gained the ability to use it effectively enough to make it considered a weapon. Electricity is a fun one. He has the ability to run very VERY fast in this form, becoming a human lightning bolt if you will. Electricity crackles off him and his body will vibrate into a fuzzy shape of a human for a few milliseconds at times. This power, while not physically powerful like Biokinesis, is as I have mentioned very fast. He is very hard to keep track of and his attacks move at a much faster rate, striking more with quantity than quality. His physical attacks are either shooting lower voltage bolts of electricity (Not enough to kill you but will knock you out after a few shots) or attacking with his brass knuckles. Metal conducts electricity, so it’s REALLY going to hurt. When in water he will fizzle and charge. While this wont hurt him, it will hurt everyone in his general area that is wet. Including his friends. He can also ‘short circuit’ himself if he overuses the same attack too much in a given time. He also becomes completely immune to electricity in this form.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks:
Matthew, despite having such a godly power, has learned just about nothing about it. So there's that. He has also not unlocked the potential to store more than one power at a time, because of this, if he wants to learn to control a new power, he must give up his current one. His powers also run off a charge system and must have a source for their power. Currently his biological manipulation runs off of all kinds of sources, but they must have come from once living, or living things in order to recharge. Per say he must become a glutton for food, or other beings, living or non-living. He can absorb energy as a substitute, but pure energy is neigh impossible to come by. However, he can suck healing energy from meta humans capable of healing others and use their energy as fuel, like a vampire. But this tends to leave them more vulnerable. Constant regeneration will also cause later problems such as organ failure, cramps, etc. Things he can recover from eventually (by slower, less drastic application of his healing power), but things that will put him out of a fight. When using electrokinesis, Matt looses the ability of accelerated healing all together. While he might be able to throw one hell of a punch and dodge most physical attacks, he has the durability of a normal human and for most meta humans, that only requires one shot. Overall, while his power potential is vast, he lacks the ability to control some things; most of these things are gas at room temperature, darkness, antimatter, light, etc. Mostly intangible things. He does have the ability to learn to manipulate light though. Every change Matt makes uses up some of his ‘charge’. Everything Matthew does is mentally driven, and splitting his concentration up can cause him to stutter in his efforts or stop him completely. It can also cause him to use up his charge faster. He is also limited to three power changes within a day. His power can also overheat if he uses it too much, and continual overheating can lead to ashing. If Matt overheats, he is left powerless for a time. The duration of the over heat can vary depending on how often he has overheated in the past. It usually starts off at base an hour's wait before his power returns.

Other: Matthew can learn or get ideas to manipulate things from just about any source, whether it be TV shows, movies, video games, or comic books. The powers won't necessarily be as powerful as they are displayed, but he can try. Drives a custom, solid black Harley Davidson V-Rod. It’s a terrifying Bike.

Hair Color: Her natural hair color is a dark brown, but has since been dyed every color she could get her hands on. It is currently dyed green and blue.

Physical Appearance: Kylie looks pretty damn intimidating. Not only is she much taller then most girls of her age, she is also built athletically. Her body is also rather feminine, with a hip to bust ratio she can't complain about. She has a slightly tanned complexion, dotted with freckles from all of her time outside and in the heat. Her face is rather pretty, despite the constant fighting she partakes in, and has all of the normal features you would expect. A wide nose, thin lips and two big eyes. She has long, girly, eyelashes and thick and dark eyebrows. Her "relaxed" face often looks a bit like a scowl, to the point in which people often ask her if something is wrong.

Kylie has gotten make scars during her time in the Skulls. Most of these scars are unintentional from all of the fights she had gotten in. These vary from light scars to deep and 'ugly' scars that she takes no pride in. The first scar of many she got was a cut across her eyebrow, from a knife fight with a police officer. It's long since healed, but the hair hasn't grown back. The rest of her scars are completely random, except for her largest and least favorite. A large, X shaped, slash across her back. She got this one during The Riots and always said it was the second most disappointing thing she had ever done. Some of the more intentional permanent markings on Kylie are her various tattoos. She only has a few, but wants to get a lot more. Her first tattoo was a Sugar Skull, the mark of the Skulls, right above her left breast, on her collar. On the inside of her left wrist is a bird silhouette, and on her right there is a blacked out lighter. On her left shoulder there is a series of numbers: 4413 and on her right there is the profile of a blanked out face. She never told anyone, not even the Skulls, who is featured in the tattoo or what the numbers mean.

The only thing Kylie really takes the time to make nice is her hair. Right after she joined the Skulls she bleached it then dyed it a dark green. She then cut it up as a symbolic way of getting rid of her past. Most of it is chopped up short, except for a section of hair closest to her forehead. This hair is always styled up in a pompadour using lots of gel and grease.

Attire: Leather. Like any good greaser Kylie always has one piece of leather clothing on her, almost always it's her leather jacket. She takes great pride in this jacket, and on the back of it is a highly detailed sugar skull with the word "Grease" underneath it in thick lettering. The rest of her clothes change from day to day. She normally wears, very tight, black skinny jeans with rips in the knees, and a white tee shirt with some sort of design or logo on it. Her earrings rarely change, six studs in each ear, but she does take them out to sleep, complaining that they dig into her if she sleeps on her side. She loves her accessories, wearing multiple rings on each finger, of different shapes, sizes and colors. She also proudly displays a nose stud and is planning many more piercings. On her feet are always a pair of grubby, converse style, sneakers that are so old and worn that their color is faded.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: On the outside Kylie likes to act like the bad ass chick she is. She refuses to take shit from anyone who is of lower rank then her. Kylie is extremely foul-mouthed (except around children and the elderly) and has the tendency to go into berserk rages. She is extremely loyal to the gang, ready to defend the weaker members to the death. This doesn't mean that she will outright hurt anyone who is not allied with the Skulls, unless you give her a reason or you are a cop. Kylie isn't the smartest person on the planet, and isn't good at quick comebacks, rather thinking with flying fists.

Despite this rough and tough exterior, Kylie is not without her own personal weaknesses. She would never hurt a child or a lady, and would actually go out of her way to protect someone weaker then her. She also harbors a very dark inner secret that she refuses to tell anyone. This secret is extremely mentally taxing for her, and can cause her to physically freeze if she is reminded of it. An extremely hidden part of Kylie's personality is her over protectiveness over her friends, and especially Matt. To make up for events that took place prior to this RP Kylie often finds herself constantly wanting to know if Matt is safe, and that he is eating enough leafy greens to have healthy vision and digestion. And that he is having protected sex.

Hobbies/Interests: As if it wasn't obvious enough, Kylie loves motorcycles. Fixing them, riding them, slamming them into people she dislikes. She also loves hanging out with her friends, smoking, causing chaos and petting little animals. And video games. Nothing beats kicking Matt's ass at mario kart after a long day of drinking and beating people up.

Skills/Talents: Kylie has a few random talents, but nothing extremely out there. She is relatively good at some combat related things, she has good aim and knows how to throw a punch without breaking her fingers. But other then that she isn't too good at anything else, or at least nothing else that is not in relation to her powers. Where Kylie really excels is in her ability to keep a cool head when things are getting rough, being able to get her and her crew out of hairy situations with some choice words. She has also taken up graffiti art in recent years, as both a distraction and a time waster.

Plasma Manipulation

Power Class: Elemental/Energy(?)

Power: Sometimes called Plasma Projectiles, Grease can release plasma attacks of various shapes and intensities. She can fire these out of the palms of her hands as projectiles and beams or, in a way, surround herself in plasma as part of melee attacks. The longer she waits and stores up energy before an attack, the more powerful it will be. Quicker blasts take less time to release, but are much lower in energy and thus, less powerful.

I also stole some attack ideas from the superpower wiki, just to give me some ideas.

Hand Blasts: Release plasma blasts from hands.
Plasma Ball Projection: Create and launch spheres of plasma.
Plasma Beam Emission: Release beams of plasma.
Plasma Blast: Release plasma over a specific target area.
Plasma Bolt Projection: Release low powered projectiles of plasma.
Plasma Breath: Discharge plasma from mouth.
Plasma Bullets: Fire in short sequence over a wide area.
Wave Motion Blast: Launch a massive wave of plasma.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Grease's biggest weakness comes from herself. When she is angry, and she often is during a battle, she finds it difficult to control her abilities. This can lead to herself and her allies getting burned as well as a lot of unwanted destruction. Overcharging herself like this can lead to her "shorting out" her abilities. Using too many large bursts of plasma can lead to Grease getting exhausted as well, and she can rarely find the balance between short bursts and large attacks. Grease's lack of control can also mess her up outside of battle, as firing off plasma sometimes becomes an involuntary action. She has been known to release zaps when she sneezes and glow when she is pissed.

It's also now cannon that whenever Grease uses her plasma abilities in combat her hair glows like plasma Kirby

Other: Kylie lives in an apartment away from the Skulls headquarters. The apartment isn't all that nice, but its enough for Matt and her as well as Matt's pet lizard. The apartment has two bedrooms, a little kitchenette full of vodka and a living room type area with a TV and couch. Kylie's landlord is absolutely terrified of the two.

Physical Appearance: Reiko is a woman of stature. She carries herself with grace much like royalty. Appearing rather out of place in the Skull crowd. She is aged, and it showed in her wrinkles, and long matured body. Reiko is a slender woman, with an overall thin, curvy, build. She has a slight muscle tone on her body, not saying she's built like a tank, but she's more of a person that is constantly working, moving, and it shows in her frame. She weighs a nice 153 lb. Reiko is a few inches taller than the average female at 5'9 ft, and she owes that to her longer limbs. Reiko has long legs, with rather strong calves and thighs. Her arms are rather long too, and she has strong, Earth-hands, with long slender fingers. Reiko is obviously a Japanese woman, her skin tone, facial features, and eyes, give it all away. Her skin is a light-yellow color, and is strangely spotless. There is not a single mark on her. All because of her healing factor. Because of that same power, Reiko has a few bestial mutations, however, they are not as obvious as her son's, since she is capable of controlling transformation. Reiko's eyes are very similar to a common house cat's, golden in color, except dilated. When a light is shined upon them, they reflect the light. All while being slanted, consistent with other Japanese Women. Her canines are also over-developed, and razorsharp, to the point of fangs. Her tongue is long, at least a foot, and forked much like a snake. However, these are just small features that carry over from her Apex Predator form, once she transforms, her body is much more fearsome and bestial (Details in her power section). Reiko has a medium-sized, heart-shaped head, with a strong jawline and chin. She has a large, hooked nose, that has very large nostrils and a thick nose bridge. Her lips aren't too pronounced, they are small, and not too notable. Reiko's ears are small, but they are elongated and pointed at the tip, they look much like the ears of bats. Reiko has a rather large forehead. Finally, Reiko's hair is a dark black color, that she keeps in a bun.

Attire: Reiko's attire varies. For starters, she would love to constantly walk around wearing fancy dresses, but that wouldn't fit the Skull's heavy metal style. She has to go for the next best thing, she wears skirts, and leather outfits, with boots, or else she will be seen wearing a cocktail-dress. She is also seen wearing jewelry, such as necklaces and rings.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: A true beast among humans. Reiko has a bestial mindset, thus she is the type of person to have a lack of understanding in human certain social norms. She finds herself as an outcast because of that, however, this is something that she has long accepted. She views herself as something different than human, someone that lived a life differently from them. That's not to say that she doesn't have any humanity in her. She doesn't view humans below or above her, she views anyone as her equal until other wise. Merely because, regardless of powers, she is human deep down. Just that she sees things differently. Instead of being a mere woman, she views herself as a matriarch of a pack. Reiko is fiercely proud, and holds her pride as a huntress, warrior, and mother above all else. She will go down to the grave with her pride. Reiko is soft spoken, and quiet, she takes time to choose her words very often. Whether it's simply talking to a friend, or threatening someone, she takes the same action regardless. To her friends, she can be seen as loyal. To anyone who treats her well, she will return the favor. Reiko has a rather grounded view on the world, and beliefs. She is simply an aged veteran that has seen it all, and it has left her quite jaded. She keeps her emotions in check, and is rarely seen losing control of them. Because that's something that Reiko values above all else, control. Reiko tends to stay in the background, and provide neutral observations and commentary, which she's quite fond of sharing. Whether it's about the Skull's "politics", to members of either gang, or just her opinion in general. However, she isn't kittens and sunshine, her morality is a mixed bag, and towards her enemies, she is vicious. She takes swift action against them, and acts ruthlessly. Reiko isn't above brutal murder, and cannibalism is a grey area. Reiko will rarely fight enemies in a fair fight, because to her, fair fights don't exist, especially when she's going against people who can knock over buildings with a thought. She is just as likely to kill someone in their sleep than take them up front. To her, morality is a fool's game at worst, and an inhibitor at best. Reiko's goal is her only child's safety and development into adulthood, and to accomplish that, she has to stay alive. Factions are interchangeable, and she refuses to go down with the ship.

Skills/Talents: Reiko didn't live the life that everyone else did, she didn't get the opportunity to learn to play instruments, or get more than a basic education. She knows how to traverse environments with grace and speed, fight viciously, read emotions with her power, track people, hunt prey, along with other gifts. In addition, she is simply experienced. She had a lifetime of learning how things work, and honing her skills, that she is simply a veteran. However, she is also fluent in Japanese.

Abilities

Power Class: Animal & Super-System

Power: Apex-Predator. Much like her child, Reiko is the monstrous Apex Predator. Unmatched in the bestial field. That said, she possess a wide range of abilities handpicked from the animal-kingdom, refined with age and a lifetime of training. Reiko has the predator instinct, agility and speed head and shoulders above humans, fast metabolism, enhanced senses (Hearing, Smell, and Night vision), enhanced reflexes, camouflage, and a regenerative factor (she is capable of healing heavily-damaged limbs, muscle-tissue, and skin in a couple hours). As apart of her training, she is a kickass tracker, huntress, can fight with skill and brutality, and can read emotions using her enhanced senses. Reiko is capable of transforming into a more bestial shape, she is able to transform into a demonic hybrid of man and beast. She will sprout knife-like claws, a mouth full of shark-like teeth, massive wings, a thick tail, two goat-like horns from the top of her forehead, and her lips and cheek-skin will shed to show all her teeth. In this state, she has tripled agility, and senses.

Beast Form. Reiko has a very powerful alternate form. Massive and demonic. She transforms into a four-legged dragon-like beast that's torso alone is the size of minivans, and weighs just as much. With intimidating bulk and muscles around her legs to boot. This creature is covered in armored-scales, and has massive claws sharp enough to tear through people. Her tail will be at least twenty feet long and blade-tipped with a jagged spear. She'll barely be recognizable in this form, her head will have a similar shape to goat skulls. In this form, she moves like big cats, and, much like them, is surprisingly agile. The capabilities of this form is obvious. Her strength will be brought up to the point where she can knock over buses, her durability will be greatly enhanced so she can support that strength, and her senses will be brought up even further.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Let's get down to business, while Reiko has access to a powerful alternate form, on a basis, she is not truly that dangerous compared to the other Skulls. She has to use her experience, tactics, and skill to dispatch foes. However, she has a few weaknesses of her own. Her body is frail and easy to damage, and while she can regenerate, she can't take a lot. In a way, she's a fragile speedster. Sensory based attacks (Bright lights, strong smells, loud sounds) can do a number on Reiko's enhanced senses. Which will be extremely painful, and even damaging them. Reiko's regeneration and metabolism require more nourishment to function normally. If she goes too long without eating or drinking, she will surely degrade and waste away until she dies. Her regeneration isn't perfect either, there's a chance a broken limb will heal incorrectly if it isn't braced. Which means it'll have to be broken again. Reiko's camouflage requires her to go very slowly to allow her body to keep up, if she goes too fast she'll be visible until she stops. Then there's the usual weaknesses that turning invisible have (She can be heard/smelled, detected by an extra-sense, etc).

However, Reiko's main drawbacks come from shifting into her Beast form. It's a powerful form, yes, but it's extremely taxing for a woman her size to shift mass into a beast. She'll require time to allow herself to transform, which can be interrupted. A incomplete transform leaves Reiko as a mix of both forms, and extremely vulnerable, she will be physically weak, and easy to injure. Until she either finishes the transformation or reverts back to her normal form. While her beast form is fast, it's not very maneuverable, running full speed can make it hard to turn. It is also incapable of the feats of agility she is normally capable of. In a way, Reiko is trading her speed and agility for raw strength, which can be a strength and a weakness. She also can't regenerate in this form, she cannot sustain a creature this large and heal at the same time. Speaking of which, while she has gained control over the Beast through years of training and mental conditioning, she will lose a large degree of her intelligence/sentience while in this form. She will be able to control herself, but she will not be at her mental peak. As she fights more and more, she will lose herself to the beast, and lose friend or foe, then everyone will be a target. She is also extra susceptible to her instincts while in this form, she will just give into her natural urges to kill and eat everyone. Reverting out of this form will leave Reiko extremely weak, and physically drained. And not just tired. It will take a massive toll on her metabolism, and she'll need to eat and sleep a ton, or she'll risk dying.

Other: Mother of everyone's favorite ten year old satan child, Jaska Valos. Reiko is a long time member of the Skulls, and raised him in secret far away from the Skulls. When it became too dangerous to keep him around, she gave him back to his Father and let him take the surname of Valos. While she continued her duties with the Skulls.

Physical Appearance/Attire: Barry looks rather unorthodox among the mercenary crowd, appearing somewhat of a rugged aristocrat. He is tall and slender, specifically standing at 6'3", and weighs in at 166 lbs. This said, he isn't the strongest fighter and his body is fairly skinny and not as muscular as much of his other... “associates”, although he does abide by the standard requirement of fitness in his organization that is befitting of him, though this is usually in the form of physical therapy (he has a strong, mechanical brace reinforcing his left leg). His skin is fairly pail and unblemished by anything other than the scars littered over his body. On his back, torso, legs, and so on - the damage on his left leg in particular being rather severe and is bestrewn with scar tissue. His pale skin is in dramatic contrast with his black hair, which comes down at a widow's peak, and is neatly swept backwards with a comb and then kept in place a small dab of hair gel. He appears on missions almost as though he were going out on a date, but forgot the proper attire. He has piercing green eyes that are, at just the right angle, appearing somewhat hollow, if words were to do any justice. It is as if he stared into hell and hell stared back, but even then, they appear no less brilliant, cunning, deceptive, or even deadly. Thick lashes and sharp eyebrows simply sharpen his piercing gaze. His true expressions always seem somewhat hidden, as though his face were hidden by a million and one masks, each with their own different story. Even his walk, it seems, where his apparent full-of-himself strut appears to be well-disguised pacing. This brings along with him an air of mystery. Given his pampered features and esoteric air, along with a charming and clever disposition, he's quite the heart-breaker. His hands are covered in calluses and his fingers usually look a little cut up, but is generally well taken care of.

If he had a choice in his uniform, he'd be dressed nicely and perhaps come in a nice suit with a boutonnière. However, glamor and sophistication has no place in his line of work or among suburbs (unless the objective specifically calls for good appearances). He often visits areas in South America, so the humidity doesn't help much to bolster his preferred fashion. Baron does not often appear anywhere close to the front lines, so heavy equipment is never really necessary - which is a plus, given how it would add unnecessary stress on his brace and left leg. So he usually does his job in waist-high black dress pants that rides up to his naval and are tucked into thick black boots, causing some bagginess around the lower calves. His pants are accessorized with button suspenders crossing over each other on his back and then meeting parallel down his front. These suspenders are usually strapped over a greatly faded light grey t-shirt. The collar has three buttons going down the center, making it able to change from a round neck to a v-neck. He usually leaves them unbuttoned give the hot air or humidity of the environment he often enters, which in turn tends to reveal just a little bit of his chest and collarbone. The subtle fact that there are very faint hints of blood stains on his shirt that looks as though someone had tried to bleach the stains off the shirt - this in conjunction with the lack of any holes - might appear disturbing to anyone who just happens to notice it. Otherwise, his wardobe is dynamic, so describing his outfits during casual or formal ventures would do little to express his appearance, and would do no more justice than stating simply: he dresses very nicely as if he looks to impress. Underneath Barry's right arm is a tattoo in Arabic, a memento from a particular expedition that required him to infiltrate an organization of radicals. It reads "وعاء الله", which means "Allah's vessel", or "God's pot".

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Barry appears as a cheerful fellow, but somehow balancing his grating optimism with stern realism. He wears a smile on his face most of the time, one that appears almost naive, but also inquisitive. His eyes always appear to be trailing somebody, or analyzing something, and very few details escape him. In fact, were it not for his charming demeanor, he might even be marked as the group's creep who watches everybody simultaneously. He assures this as nothing more than simple curiosity of studying human behavior and overseeing group cohesiveness. As such, he is quite adept when it comes to deductive reasoning and breaking down a person's behaviorisms that might tie in to other areas of that person's life as well. In fact, he is quite possibly more aware and knowledgeable of his comrades than they are aware of (but he is also rather fond at looking through personnel files). Otherwise, he may just be an incredibly elaborate liar. But there's little doubt in any one of his seasoned associates' mind that the man is brilliant. It is even said by his comrades: mad, but brilliant. But mad, per se, was of course the perspectives of another individual who was ignorant of Barry's reasoning and his intents.

He is a mixed bag in terms of morality. He is sympathetic to the wounded and the soldiers that do the fighting, and while he would much rather prefer a calm and relaxing time working with his "clients" to get what he needs, he doesn't flinch at the prospect of turning an interrogation session on its heels to either scare or torture the information out of a target. Jobs such as that, and jobs such as infiltration, allow him to disconnect himself from others to a degree that is almost inhuman. He also is not above manipulating or lying to either foes or allies, provided that the outcome is decisive in his favor. However, he remains an egalitarian at heart and is uncharacteristically loyal to his primary employer. He doesn't quite let on at to his purpose in being there - whether its money or excitement or so on, but he definitely does enjoy the perks out of being in his line of work. He doesn't think about religion and gods a whole lot, but he has forsaken God when he was treated in kind when imprisoned in South America.

Hobbies/Interests: Cigarettes, chess, prose, cold coffee, cheeses, wines, olives, corned beef, psychology and sociology, vintage, music (classical, jazz, swing, blues), musicals, linguistics, foreign culture, etc. Baron is a man of many interests and enjoys simple indulgences, and prefers the rich taste of life's fruits. He pursues not the things that makes life work but the things that makes life worth living.

Skills/Talents: Despite the oddities that he may be accused of, he isn't as emotionally distant as some people who "know" him may think. He can break up a fight between soldiers and other personnel, or at least ease the tension between the two or few. Even though whoever has heard of him among the ranks is well aware of his occupation, not many actually grasp how much Barry is truly a psychological genius. If he so wished it, he could play games with a person's head at a whim. He has knowledge of the correlation between body movements/functions, and between that and undercover experience, a degree of body control that allows him to expertly craft lies, or even see right through the lies of others. Through his years of training, he can work enough of the right charm to work the truth out of a person.
Or alternatively, he can work his otherwise charming charisma into more devious matters such as intimidation or interrogation. True, while his physical form isn't too intimidating, he is cunning and intelligent enough to pick just the right words to get under your skin and play off your worst fears. That is his job in his business – he works with a mercenary group – but he isn't just some simple hired gun. There are plenty of those. When it comes to gathering information on somebody, he can hand you all you need to know just by spending some time with them alone. Having experience inserting himself into different places, he's somewhat of an amateur linguist. He learns enough of a bunch of different languages, but usually forgets how to speak them afterward when they're no longer relevant. He also enjoys chess and poetry in the form of prose. He has some cooking ability. Nobody lets him play card games anymore.

Prized Possession: He isn't very sentimental with a lot of things. Naturally, he's attached to the tools of his trade. He has a brand of handgun (that he is allowed to carry due to a gun permit) called a Caracal CP. He also possesses an early 1900s French-made Apache revolver, and is his favorite of the two. He has a modern black vehicle that's been outfitted so that the body resembles a 1940s Bentley. He also has a dog. He's a Great Dane named Pavlov.

History/Bio: Baron was born into a middle class family in Canada and went to a wonderfully reviewed school. His last name came from his father's line - he was, in fact, only about 10% French. But that was the family line that gave him a French last name. Since his youth, psychology and the inner workings of the brain fascinated him, so he took the electives and courses as they were available to him. It was a bit challenging trying to choose between neuroscience and psychology, but the idea of understanding people appealed to him more. So he pursued the psychological path. He started at the age of 18, straight out of high-school and enjoyed his classes and found great interest in them. In fact, while he initially wanted to get his Psy.D. in psychology, he continued school for another year or two just so he could say he has a Ph.D. He got out of school in six years, getting an Associates degree in neuroscience and a Doctorates degree in psychology, and at 24, was in the workforce. At first, he worked in counseling, whether it be with children, adults, or even marriages. That sort of thing. It was nice of course - helping people - it was heartwarming, but also a little depressing. He also found it less of understanding people and more of letting his clients talk everything out, and while he asked questions about what he thought that meant, he let them come to their own conclusions. It was primarily about asking them simple questions and, occasionally, a lot of lying. So he left that job and tried his hand in criminal psychology, which he turned out to be very good at and later opened up other pathways in which he would try his hand in. He worked as a part-time detective, however, still in the psychological field where he helped figure out where the person may go given their circumstances and he was also interrogating during that time via verbal means. He attempted actual detective-work, which was mostly paperwork, and then private investigating when he learned he liked working by his own rules instead. He had many different jobs throughout the psychological and investigative fields, and some of his favorite jobs was in criminal psychology, undercover work, and investigative psychology where he was pitted against the suspect in an interrogation room.

Later, a business called the Dreadnaughts, a mercenary group, found him at the age of 27 and he found the thrill he was looking for. As it turns out, Baron was the only psychologist they found good enough or honest enough to work with them. Good enough where he even survived long enough to last three years, taking part in their hilarious antics (such as the time where he infiltrated a terrorist group holed up in Saudi Arabia, and was payed by the Arabian government itself). He went missing for nearly a year after a mission with them, where was kidnapped by some guerrilla group in South America.

He was interrogated and tortured, where he tried his hardest to hold himself out through the agony. He was a pretty valuable prisoner to them, as he was held in their custody for ten months. Baron told them next to nothing about the Dreadnaughts during that time, but he did feel his willpower giving out and his constitution would not allow him much more punishment. Fortunately, during a feeding hour, they forgot to secure his manacles. He worked himself out of the cage, and before slipping away, he silently killed almost half of their men with a sharp piece of scrap metal, all the while with a cartilage-worn and broken left leg. He was spared the wrath of the jungle and eventually found a civilization of a small town and secured a trip with the locals to the nearest hospital. At the hospital, he rested for a couple of days and got back in contact with the Dreadnaughts. He was back in the game with some physical rehabilitation, and that experience in South America taught him plenty. While he knew the tricks of keeping yourself from being manipulated, never was that knowledge tested as much as it was during that time. The other thing he learned? No mercy on the battlefield. It was starting then he stopped allowing other members to visit him while he's interrogating. Things may get messy if his "client" is stubborn enough. It's safe to say that his methods has gotten slightly more unorthodox since his escape a year ago.

Altogether, Baron has four years of service under his belt, although he considers himself to be a Dreadnaught for a total five years (counting even his time whilst imprisoned - a lot of time there were questions about them). To avoid another event like that, he has a number of code names which he alternates through depending on the sort of mission he's on and he's built up a reputation with each of them, fooling his enemies into thinking there are three different dangerous people without letting on he could be any of them. "Skinwalker" for infiltration missions, "Dracula" for interrogation and diplomacy missions, and "Zombie", which was a nickname he earned from the rest of the crew because of how he "came back from the dead" (plus his limp). This came to be another code name that he takes on in every other operation.

He is currently taking paid leave and is vacationing off back home in Canada. His primary destination was to be Ottawa, Quebec, but when he heard about Black Fall, and heard about how it was a hub for the usually rare super-humans, he foregone his plans and decided to visit there. Whether he decides to go there for the light shows or for the valuable data and research he could get off the residents there (Looking into the mind of a super-human? Not an easy opportunity to pass up!), he's sure he's going to be in for one hell of a vacation.

Ethnicity: Sudan, Egyptian and Arabian (and obviously some hints of Caucasian in there somewhere) heritage gives her skin a rich and dark brown hue.
Physical Appearance/Attire: Mia, a 5'9" woman weighing 198 lbs, appears well built and physically toned. While not having a body builder form, her muscles and bones are thick enough to accentuate and tone her modest curvature. She is strong without working out, and it shows through her physique (it ain't washboard, but the woman has got abs). As implied above, she is not impressively tall, though nor is she short enough to give a weak or vulnerable vibe. Much of her weight comes from her power, having dense muscles and bones. Her skin is mostly clear of blemishes, save for the obvious scar on her face - and speaking of her face, it is particularly pronounced and gives the impression of an independent woman. Her jawline is strong and symmetrical and meets up at a pointed, yet squared off chin. This feature is accentuated by thin cheeks and sharp cheek bones, and lips several shades lighter - a trait hidden by dark makeup that is applied to her lips, a gentle black that doesn't shine or gloss under light, nor sticks out like a sore thumb on her brown face. Her nose is also sharp. It's length isn't pronounced, and appears proportionate to her face and her bridge thick, though thin in width. Given these sharp features and fierce, striking appearance, her eyes are an alarming contrast. Her left eye is nearly stark white. With a milky cornea and cataract-afflicted pupil, her eye is totally blind. Her right eye is covered by a scar that goes down to the top of her cheek. The same ugly scar rips through the center of her eye, making her blind in that eye as well. Her face alone is an unnerving combination of beauty and danger, despite her disability.

Her black hair is usually well-managed and clean (meaning very little oil, if any), often done up in something like an updo of an undercut mohawk, generally done with very little product. Given how it's easy to do, where the hair doesn't bother her face, isn't impractically long, and supposedly looks good, Mia found it to be well suited for her. She has a soldierly posture: her head held high, firm soldiers, straight back, and a heavy footstep. It suggests she knows discipline, a factor that likely sculpted her in her early childhood. Her abdomen is ripe with muscle, she neglects to flaunt the c-cup breasts she carries and her legs are strong and have only a few scars from minor injuries such as scraping a shin or knee by accident. Her feet can be considered large, and are fortunately not afflicted by bunions. She has a few piercings. One is a half-ring septum piercing, three small loops on her left ear's upper lobe, and an industrial bar on her other ear. They are all made of brass.

Given her lack of sight, Mia has a pretty weak sense of fashion. Fortunately, she already had a wardrobe before she lost her sight. At the bare minimum of clothes, she always wears a sports bra and men's boxer briefs, thinking they're more comfortable than other under garments. Over that, a white men's tank top is worn over her torso, and she dons a pair of Lee's boot-cut jeans. Over her white shirt, she tends to wear a fleece flannel shirt, due to the comfort and warmth it provides (she remembers her favorite one having a yellow and black color scheme but can't really tell which is which anymore). Should the weather get any worse than that, she has an old brown leather jacket she got from her husband when they were younger. She tends to wear this pair of light brown/mustard-colored unstylish work boots because they're comfy and firm and she has no clue how ugly they actually are.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Spiteful, contemptuous, driven; strangers often characterize her as enigmatic and scornful. She reveals nothing and manages most people with disdain. This disdain, however, is mysteriously sourced and gives the impression it stands as preexisting stress and is redirected towards whomever spoke to her. Other times, she simply ignores them or gives them the silent treatment. On any other occasion, she simply shares short, brief words and returns to her thoughts. She lacks the arrogance or overconfidence that some super-powered morons may come to don, however, has the tendency to peg others as fools. She bides and listens, and she isn't one to put her trust into another very lightly. Moreover, Mia is incredibly driven. She doesn't let on to others what her reasons might be, but she moves forward with such inspiring conviction despite the obstacles set before her.

She had a good deal of morals before, and though her attitude and outlook took a major turn for the worse, they still stick with her to some degree. While no longer being interested in politics, she'd still be more prone to vote liberal. While no longer concerned about most peoples' welfare, she'd beat the crap out of a rapist. And while hurt feelings no longer bother her, she'd still make a sexist or racist person buckle over and plant her foot on them. She has morals - they've just become become much looser than they were before. She thinks little of any of the factions of Mendel. The Skulls are too loud and stupid, the Vanguard is pious and is one side of the same coin, and she lacks any ability to be part of the hacker group, and she really wouldn't want to. She thinks it as an invasion of privacy and see them not as a professional group, but as a collection of cheeto-eating dickheads that'll fall apart from them betraying one another anyway.

Despite her feelings for most other people, she actually treats them with apathy more than she does in deliberately rude gestures or words. This gives her an unmatched degree of bluntness and ability to speak her mind without caring who is listening or how they may react or feel according to her words. Before the accident, she was deeply in love and was incredibly faithful and protective of her spouse. To some extent, this may hold true even now should she ever find a sense of belonging. Even if she does though, she reassures herself that there isn't any point in trusting anybody with her story. Her story is no one's business and she does not intend on "opening up" or getting "touchy feely" with anybody. However, her energy is drained and she finds herself in an incredibly vulnerable position, despite her greatest efforts to appear strong. While Mia still able to maintain the facade of strength and durability, there's little she can do to escape the sense of a downward spiral towards an emotional breakdown.

Hobbies/Interests: She has lost interest in many of her hobbies when she fell victim to complete blindness. She can no longer paint or fiddle with cars or smaller gadgets. The only thing she feels she knows how to do anymore is to play guitar and she completely destroyed hers in a fit of rage. All she really bothers to do anymore is to listen to music (of a very wide variety) and brush her teeth until her gums bleed.

Skills/Talents: Before her blindness, she was good with cars and engines and whatnot since she worked as a mechanic at some point, and if you were to quiz her on the subject, she'd probably answer your questions and answer all the questions you didn't ask. She also used to paint, and was actually pretty good at it, but never bothered to sell her pieces. Her room is full of half-done canvases that she'll never be able to finish. She can play an acoustic guitar, though not exceptionally. She's a fairly good MMA fighter, since she has recently been spending a fair amount of time taking martial arts courses at a small, nameless dojo, as well as getting into boxing, learning how to combine the two.

History/Bio: The layout is simple: Mia had a pretty good life until her twenties. She was happy as a little girl. She got attention from her parents, and was pushed into more boyish activities by her father, who had wanted a boy. As naive as Mia was, this didn't really bother her very much and she led a pretty normal life. She had a fair amount of friends from elementary and throughout high, was adept at taking apart her dad's truck and putting it back together, was persuaded by her mother to take up painting (and much to Mia's surprise, she enjoyed it). When she got into high school, Mia was fairly pretty enough to grab the attention of a couple boys and tough enough to keep them in line. At sixteen, she met an irish boy named Roy and started off as friends before she discovered she liked him halfway through the year. A lot. Taking him to meet the folks was a bit odd, since interracial relationships was a bit iffy to her parents, but she went ahead and scoffed at their conservative beliefs. It turns out that the two fit together like puzzle pieces. The two crucial pieces of a complex jigsaw where each individual piece of the map had to be worked around the two.

There was little to stop the two young and starstruck lovers from planning out their future. As fate would have it though, the infamous Race Riots irreparably damaged a section of Mendel and her family was unfortunate enough to get caught in the crossfire. Roy was "lucky" enough to live in the downtown section, further away from the riot. Mia's parents worked nearby, meaning Mia alone when she had to be rushed to a hospital. When Roy checked on her, there it was discovered that while she didn't suffer tragic damage from the riots, stray bullets had brought damage to her ovaries and one of her kidneys. She would be able to live happily with her kidneys without any problem, but any chance of bearing a child was gone. Having kids was never really something they thought about anyways, and that news wouldn't bother them until their later years when they realized what it actually meant for them. Her parents were permanently hospitalized - her father was put into a coma after getting bashed in the head, and her mother suffered so much damage from metahumans (fire and electricity - her skin is badly scarred and her breathing is strained), that she was forced to stay on life support to survive. Roy and his family offered to help Mia and by allowing her to live with them in East Mendel.

It was only when Mia and Roy were nineteen did they decide to move out. They were done with school and they rented out a small apartment in the residential district just off Watson road for just the two of them. Mia worked at a garage and Roy worked kitchen jobs. Even with their small incomes together, they couldn't afford college for even one of them, but they decided to just save their money and be happy with what they had. It was by that time did her powers finally manifest. It started off as a huge freak out when they discovered her absurd strength after she knocked over the refrigerator just by closing the door. She was scared out of her wits that Roy might abandon her, but to her relief, he remained and they agreed never to let anyone else in on her secret. They finally married when they were twenty years old.

The following two years were fine. They excelled at their jobs, they got hobbies, they biked around town (Mia always being a couple lengths in front of Roy), and all seemed fine. At some point during the second year though, normal life seemed to fall apart. There had been increased gang activity further down town, and Mia must have made a wrong stop or bought groceries at the wrong store - something must have been a front or connection that made a branch of the MCPD crack down and target Mia, who believed her to have ties with the Skulls - she figured they either had to have been pretty scared or itching to exercise their authority to target someone without any solid ground (she always said it was because she was WWB; walking while black). Regardless of their reasons, they interrogated Mia. They asked her all sorts of questions - about the Skulls, about her ties - having no connection with the Skulls, she denied any knowledge of them or their intents. They didn't believe her. They suspected her of lying and deceit and was promptly subjected her to torture. Most of their methods had brought no scarring, but another over-enthusiastic cop brought up the method was laser-eye treatment and claimed it wouldn't leave any lasting damage. This is how she lost sight in her left eye.

Roy finally discovered she had been arrested due to allegations of association with the Skulls. Along with vouching for her, he provided her medical records and legal records where there were no signs or ties with the local Skulls. She was released and subsequently promised insurance benefits in the form of large sums of monthly payments as long as she remained quiet about the misunderstanding. Mia was by no means willing to satisfy the police department, and neither was Roy. However, they decided that they were best off to accept the compensation and avoid further trouble with the department, despite the couple's seething rage for the local police force, they also needed the money. The next four years went somewhat smoothly, despite the burning hot bouts of rage she felt each time she looked in the mirror and saw her blind eye. She was forced to keep a cap on it lest she do something stupid and create more problems for herself and the MCPD.

But the four years were smooth, aside from that. She learned how to move around and grab things without her left eye, she became a little more reliant on other senses - most notably her hearing - and she found an outlet for her aggression in a martial arts class. Her and her husband both that that signing up for a krav maga course was a good idea, but that she should be careful with letting off too much steam. Mia agreed and so the twenty-five year old went on to visit the dojo every Tuesday and Thursday. The classes were not frequent enough for her to really release her stress, so she also entered a boxing gym. At some point, she heard about some charity for the aid of victims of domestic dispute (a huge majority came from gang fights and police brutality), hearing about what they stood for, she and Roy immediately supported them. While Mia wasn't active in their cause, she was still eager to help them out in some way. For instance, fixing some of their vehicles. The work was hard, but she still enjoyed it.

It was at the end of the four years, six months before now, Roy was out shopping and doing errands for a couple of friends in the neighborhood. Upon coming back, he found himself in the middle of a firefight that seemed to have spontaneously broke out around east of the Mississippi. A vicious shoot-out between the Skulls and the Vanguards was interrupted by the police, resulting in a vicious three way war. Caught in the crossfire, Roy was killed, shredded by bullets from one direction and bullets from the other, along with the projectiles from superpowers.

The firefight lasted a grueling three hours before it calmed down, too long for a wounded man like Roy to endure. Mia received a call from the hospital to give her the grim news. Heartbroken, Mia trashed the house and, in a fit of rage and grief and guilt, she grabbed one of the apartment's kitchen knives and carved her remaining eye. She stayed there, laying on carpet weeping and bleeding for a solid hour, pale faced. A solid hour before a neighbor decided to find out what was the ruckus was about. A solid hour before an ambulance was called for her. Mia is now totally blind. She stayed in the hospital for about a month, being treated for her eye, as well as undergoing mental recuperation to recover from the shock of suddenly losing her only loved one. After her month was over, she was issued a cane and she stayed in her old, trashed apartment for another month, doing just the bare minimum to survive - and struggling to do even that now that she was blind. She dealt with the event very poorly, and ended up turning to drink. She's been alcohol poisoned more than once, which put too much strain on her damaged kidney and caused it to fail. When she was rushed to the hospital, she was encouraged to rehabilitate and she was told that she can still live a happy life with just one kidney as long as she stopped drinking. Somehow, they managed to convince her - though this was probably due to her highly impressionable and compliant state of mind during that time. On her second month staying at home, she finally began to try mimicking daily life, despite the struggle to figure out what was around her. It took a while for her to walk comfortably whilst blind, and for her to remember how the house felt through her cane. It was by the end of that second month was she able to regain control of herself and understand the situation in full: the city - it killed him. It was this whole damn city's fault. It's fault for her husband, it's fault for her eyes - all of it! Whatever rage or contempt she had before was dwarfed by the pit of burning coals that sat in her chest every day. By the fourth month she went back to the dojo and boxing classes (albeit with some struggle - she would later acquire an application much like a GPS device for blind pedestrians). With some effort, the instructors were able to help her work around her blindness.

The dojo became a regular outlet for her. She took out her aggression there (on punching bags, of course), honed her other senses through sparring sessions (sense of hearing, place, and the length of her body), and learned how to control her strength and how to make the most of it. She invested so much time into that dojo, she became capable of reacting as swiftly to the movements she hears from the other students as they could by sight, and she learned maneuvers to help her work around the possibility of an assailant holding a weapon to her. While the classes helped her live with her blindness, it did little to satiate her anger. The blind woman saw opportunity with the Skulls, and while she cared very little for them, she wanted some way to get back at the city, and through the Skulls, that was possible. So she sought to waltz right into their base and demand a place. Which sounds arrogant, but her demands stem from anger and desperation, as opposed to arrogance. Her intentions lies in revenge against the city though. So many organizations are fair game. The police department, the Vanguard, even the Skulls – eventually, she'll sort something out to fuck them over as well.

Power: Mia possesses your typical super-strength and insane reflexes, as well as various other improvements upon her body such as enhanced durability and endurance (but is not enhanced to such an extreme degree as her strength). She can rip down your door with ease, turn over a car, and kick your head off your shoulders. Her strength is not derived from over-inflated muscles, but her dense muscle strands being capable of exerting a hundred times more force than the average man - enough to bench press at least 17,500 lbs (or African elephant - and then some). As for her reflexes, she is capable of reacting to events as soon as they come to her senses or sees it coming and so on. While she can't dodge bullets, she can retaliate against her assailants as soon as they come within arm's reach. More on her endurance, while she is not invulnerable and still very much prone to gun shots, she is capable of taking a professional boxer's punch to her abdomen with only so much as a flinch and shaking off bare knuckle punches from an average man rather easily - this applies to aerobic endurance as well, allowing her cardiovascular system to become less winded with greater physical exertion. And of course, whenever she hits her shin on something by accident and it hurts like hell, she can rest easy knowing that whatever she kicked was probably demolished.

But her power comes with side effects as well. Her strength is so incredible in comparison to a normal person, that getting punched by her would actually put so much shock on the body that recovery becomes immensely difficult. Even superhuman regeneration becomes greatly impaired and the recipient would notice a delayed recovery response. The fatigue-producing lactic acid that the body produces also happens to be different in Mia. It has changed to such a degree that it no longer produces fatigue, but acts as a steroid that increases her energy, muscular endurance, and strength. This means that her power allows her to plow over her enemies like a snowball down a hill.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Mia is stronger than she is durable. Let that sink in for a moment. That means that she is very capable of harming herself if she is not careful. But aside from that, he lactic acid, while quite beneficial, can work against her. Fatigue is the natural body response to exhaustion and damage. It removes body inhibitions that would normally signify that her muscles are under a great amount of duress (the limitations of which are greater than normal people, but it still is a limitation to be wary of). In addition, as the strength and energy the acid grants eventually snowballs to monster levels, this means the production of lactic acid does as well. Mia's one and only kidney has to process all the waste and acid that her body produces, and it takes a toll. So once she feels some incredible pain in her body, she has to stop unless she runs the risk of seriously damaging herself and causing her only kidney to fail. At that point, her body and muscles will also likely be worn down due to the amount of activity done with them, and she'll feel sore for a while.

As for her weaknesses as a person, her blindness goes without saying. A blanket of darkness acts as a permanent veil to the world outside her eyes. Mia is also a pretty bitter woman, and this makes diplomacy and friend-making more difficult for her. While she can cooperate, she won't hide her disdain from the people she is working with. She also is not a very good shoulder to cry on should any of her teammates be experiencing any difficulties or stress - most of her motherly instincts have been forsaken. But when it comes to small children who might be in danger, she gets a twinge of frustration with herself until she brings herself to protect them. Senseless crying, though? Rolling her eyes or perhaps snapping at them. She also is not fit for a leadership role. She prefers to cut the garbage and get straight to the point and isn't interested in uplifting speeches or being bothered with telling everyone what they have to do. It just isn't in her. She is rather outspoken in her lack of love for authority figures, namely police forces and gangs and so on. Her bitterness and disregard can be used against her, since when she becomes especially pissed off, she has a pretty "straight-line" train of thought.

Other: Despite being blind, her sparring matches has helped to give her a "battle-sense". Much of this has to do with sense of hearing (their footsteps and breath), and feeling and hearing the subtle differences in the air, but it is something more innate than just that. Much of her fights run off instinct, and she describes it as having something like a flow.

His eyes look sinister and deceitful, like that of a snake. Emilio has a tattoo of the Mexican Eagle on his left breast, and on his left shoulder is the Vanguard crossed keys. His teeth are slightly crooked, and his canine teeth are larger than normal. If one looks closely at Mamba’s mouth, they can see that he has a forked tongue. Emilio speaks with a lisp due to his tongue, and has a bit of a hispanic accent to his voice.

Attire: Rough and tough. Emilio dresses for his job; kicking ass and takin names. He wears a pair of desert camo chinos every day, with tan steel-toed boots, a tee shirt of some sort, and a long brown leather duster with the crossed keys on the back of it in gold and white. He usually keeps the collar of the jacket turned up to make him look more edgy.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: I’m getting tired of doing personalities, so this will be short and sweet. Mamba is cruel and remorseless. He’s generally not a nice person, but he is efficient. He is very sarcastic and caustic towards others, and can come off as brash. He doesn’t mind insulting people. He’s one of those guys that, though he may seem unsociable, is fun to have around at a cocktail party of public social event. He seems to have this charisma about him that makes people listen to what he says, a useful skill for a gang leader. Mamba is very ambitious, and clings to power with a death grip. He loves having authority, and has no problem with punishing people who disrespect him.In a nutshell, Emilio is a total asshat. He’s the complete opposite of Whisper, making them a perfect duo. Whisper keeps Emilio in check and keeps him from going too power crazy, and Emilio acts as Whisper’s fist and bullwhip.

Hobbies/Interests: Gambling, drinking, horse racing, smoking, partying, rapping fishing, wrestling, driving at extremely fast speeds. If Whisper embodies the northern half of West Mendel, Emilio embodies the southern half.
Skills/Talents: He was a fairly decent wrestler in high school (it was a metahuman high school, so it was more or less fair), and he’s a very good getaway driver. History/Bio: Emilio’s nothing special. He was born in Los Angeles. His parents made decent money, his dad being an attorney. His powers came in when he was twelve, and when three kids at his middle school almost died from oddly large snake bites, his father decided to step in. He send Emilio to Academy 218, a boarding school for metahumans. He went to high school there, and left to pursue a job in real estate. He moved to Mendel for a reason he does not understand (the Black Fall Effect: metas are drawn towards other metas). Once there, he found the city in disarray. He met Whisper, and the two became good friends. Eventually, they started the Vanguard to try and establish order in the West Mendel meta community.

Power: Serpent physiology. Basically, Emilio has all the powers of a snake. Firstly, and most notably, the venom. Emilio’s mouth contains retractable viper-like fangs that can inject a painful and potentially deadly neurotoxin. It is treatable using medicine and certain antivenoms, but without those victims find themselves paralyzed and gripped with burning pain in their limbs. It takes about six hours for the venom to kill a full-grown adult human, give or take a few hours depending on the human’s size, although symptoms set in soon after being bitten. Mamba rarely uses his venom because it’s rather difficult to bite someone mid-fight, although he can spit it. If it gets in an enemy’s eyes, they can go blind. Luckily for him, that’s not his only power. Emilio has extremely fast reflexes, and giving him a huge edge in combat. He can sense movement through walls and at night using heat vision, and when fighting his fingernails sharpen into claws. He is supernaturally strong as well, able to lift about four times his bodyweight.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Firstly, Emilio’s venom is curable using antivenom. Due to its relatively weak nature, it is rather difficult for someone to die from his venom, and he’s never killed someone with it. Secondly, heat vision can be blinded by heat, so throwing up a cloud of steam or hiding behind something hotter than 98.6 degrees will make you invisible to him. Thirdly, Emilio is cold-blooded. He absolutely hates winter, and if he’s out in the cold for too long, his body temperature can drop and he can possibly die. To counteract this, Emilio warms himself in a special room at the Vanguard HQ every morning, but if he’s kept for a long time outside (like, more than a day) in the cold, it could kill him.

Other: Unlike Whisper, Mamba totally refers to the Vanguard as a gang.

Emilio lives downtown in an apartment overlooking the Strip. It’s relatively clean, and about mid-sized for someone who is single.

Physical Appearance: Ivan is a small, gruff-looking man, standing at about 5’11” and weighing 160 lbs. He is well-built and in-shape, with wiry muscles and tanned skin. Ivan certainly will not be winning any beauty pageants anytime soon. Most of his body is covered in an enormous burn scar from a freak accident that occurred during his time in the military. His lower torso, most of his abdomen, a small spot on the right side of his face and his right arm down to halfway down the forearm are covered in these ugly scars. Ivan is missing the pinky finger on his right hand and his middle finger on his left. Ivan’s face is long and rectangular, with a square jaw blanketed in a thick, full beard. This beard is primarily a very dark brown (almost black) though is slowly beginning to be taken over by grey. His hair is long and is worn combed back against his head in a neat, professional way. Ivan’s eyes are a bright green in coloration, and seem to sparkle with intelligence. He has thick eyebrows that make him look rather angry most of the time. His eyebrows are asymmetrical, as the burn scar overlaps part of his right eyebrow. Ivan’s ears are rather large, and lay flat against his head. He is missing a chunk from the lobe of the right ear. His nose is large with a wide bridge and a bump on it that makes it appear as if his nose has been broken multiple times before. Ivan’s teeth are relatively well-cared-for, though several of them are fake. He speaks with a slowly-fading Russian accent, and generally talks very loudly (as his hearing isn’t the best).

Attire: Possessing the money to do so, Ivan dresses nicely. He wears Oxford shirts and slacks every day, usually without a tie and with a pair of comfortable leather shoes. Informal for Ivan is a polo shirt and slacks. He is never known to wear tee shirts or informal-looking shorts (unless he’s doing some sort of physical activity). If he’s going out for a night on the town, he may wear his beret. A quintessential piece of Ivan’s wardrobe is his brass-colored aviator sunglasses. Outside of the classroom, he is almost never seen without them. When it’s cold out, Ivan wears a peacoat and a fur hat (one of the stereotypically Russian ones whose names I don’t know).

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Ivan is a simple man with a taste for action. He joined the military originally so that he could be in the heart of the battlefield, kicking ass and taking names, as the saying goes. He joined the Dreadnaughts, however, because after his medical discharge, the Russian Military would not give him a job (as he couldn’t pass the hearing test). Ivan generally keeps to himself most of the time, though his loud voice often gives people the impression that he is a loud person (which is untrue). He drinks a lot (though not while on the job), and is known to be very boisterous when he’s drunk. The drinking is what he uses to take care of his...issues. Ivan has PTSD, which he received from his incident (he doesn’t talk about it). While it has yet to affect his work, it often causes Ivan to have trouble sleeping. Even when he daydreams, Ivan can occasionally see flashbacks. Because of this, Ivan tries to keep himself constantly doing something. He has very little idle time, as he figures that if he’s always busy, then he’ll never daydream and therefore will never suffer. he sees a psychologist about it once a week or so, and takes medicine for it most of the time. If Ivan is out of medicine or is regressing for some reason, expect to see him at a bar. He’s rather antisocial and can be cold around new people. It takes a while to get Ivan to open up to someone new. He is rigidly organized and never forgets anything. Despite his debilitating psychological issues and lack of social skills, Ivan is a genius. He has a PhD in nuclear chemistry from MIT and a master’s in physics. Basically, Ivan is a brain. He can do multivariable calculus in his head, and solves logic puzzles almost stupidly easily.

Hobbies/Interests: Chess, drinking, building bombs out of everyday objects, researching, and, most importantly, reading. Ivan constantly reads, and has a sizeable library in his house. He believes that reading is the key to intelligence. He has books in both Russian and English, and will sometimes switch a Russian and English copy of a book in the middle of a chapter to challenge his mind. His favorite American author is Tom Clancy, and his favorite Russian author is Leo Tolstoy (because I don’t know many Russian authors. Sue me) War and Peace is Ivan’s favorite book. Ivan has tried to write some himself, but he “has never been very good at it”.

Skills/Talents: Ivan is super-intelligent, with an IQ of 190 and his various credentials that I listed above. He could give the Rain Man a run for his money in math, and has a fairly good memory. He is adept in hand-to-hand combat (evident by the Maroon beret test he did, in which he had to survive a fight against a SPETSNAZ soldier). He is a good ground warfare tactician as well, though his lack of social skills usually hold him back from being a leader. Ivan once knew how to play violin, but he hasn’t done so in a while, and so has forgotten most of it. He speaks English and Russian fluently. He has picked up a few phrases in Chechen, such as “I’ll cover you!”, “I’m throwing a grenade!”, and (his favorite) “f*ck you, Russia!”. He is attempting to learn French, solely because he is bored. History/Bio: Prepare yourselves for the most well-researched history I’ve ever done!

Ivan Petrov was born in Lutsk (now a part of Ukraine) at the tail end of the 1970s, the second of three brothers. He grew up in a military family with a father who was in Afghanistan, fighting for Mother Russia against the Mujahideen. Ivan’s father was his hero. Every week, Ivan would wait by the door for the postman to arrive and bring him a letter from the battlefront in his father’s neat penmanship. Then One week, a letter didn’t come. Ivan’s father was in a helicopter, flying through the Khyber Pass, and he was shot down. They didn’t recover enough of his body for a funeral. Ivan was ten at the time, and he was devastated. Ivan’s older brother left two weeks later to join the military and avenge his father’s death. The family moved to Rostov shortly after, as his mother’s family was there. When Ivan was fifteen, the Soviet Union collapsed, marking an end to the Cold War. When Ivan was seventeen, he joined the army, where he fought in the First Chechen War. His abnormally high intellect (despite the lack of a college education) made him stand out to his superiors, and he rose through the ranks quickly. After the First Chechen War ended, Ivan went to college at the MV Frunze Military Academy in Moscow, where he learned his EOD skills. They were put to the test in September of 1999, as the Second Chechen War began. Dagestani terrorists began to blow up apartments around Western Russia. Ivan was sent after a confirmed second bomb in Moscow, and, with the help of his team, diffused it, saving the building. Ivan was moved to a unit of anti-terrorist special forces in the Russian Internal Military, where he served as an EOD specialist (though he got plenty of combat in). For five years he chased terrorists around Russia. He was part of the unit that gassed Moscow Theater in 2002, and in 2004 fought against Chechen rebels who had taken 1,100 people hostage (including 777 children). In 2004, he was deployed to Chechnya as part of the Russian anti-terrorist operation (Chechnya was and is part of Russia, so the Internal Military fought there). He fought there (stationed is Grozny, but he did most of the fighting in the Southern Mountains) for two years. Through multiple firefights and guerilla warfare attacks, Ivan gained experience in battle and became a grizzled veteran. He was then redeployed to Volgograd. That’s when his “accident” happened.

A hospital in Volgograd was seized by Chechen insurgents, who threatened to kill someone every fifteen minutes until Chechnya’s independence was recognized by Russia and the Russians pulled out. Their backup plan (incase the Russians came anyways) was a bomb in the center of the building’s basement, that, if detonated, would topple the entire hospital. Wearing full bomb suits, Ivan’s unit was sent to deal with it. A firefight was initiated once they got inside to where the bomb was, and in the chaos of it all, the man defusing the bomb (Ivan was outside of the room trying to fend off the insurgents) was stabbed to death. His attacked triggered the bomb, and everything went black. Two days later, Ivan was pulled from the wreckage, his suit torn to ribbons and his body severely burned. Third and fourth-degree burns covered most of the right half of his body, and the collapse had crushed several of his bones (he had a minor skull fracture, four shattered ribs, two broken tibias, a shattered right radius, two missing fingers, a fractured hip, grizzly stuff). He was the sole survivor of the explosion (everyone else in his unit died). he spent a year in a hospital in Moscow, recovering from the explosion and rehabilitating. He recovered at an alarming rate and a year and a month after the explosion almost killed him, he was back on his feet (with a cane and medicated bandages still wrapped around much of his torso). Unfortunately, due to hearing loss from the blast, he was unable to pass the Russian Army’s hearing test, and so was discharged. At this point, Ivan felt worthless. He was given a desk job at the Kremlin, but that gave him no solace. In 2008, Ivan left the job and went to America, where he used his savings (as well as some assistance from a wealthy uncle) to attend MIT. His high intelligence and knowledge of chemistry was obvious, as he graduated with a PhD in nuclear chemistry in four years. He would have been qualified to be an EOD officer in the US police force, but they wouldn’t hire a foreigner. That was when he heard about the Dreadnaughts from a friend he had gone to school with at Frunze. He joined (as he couldn’t get any sort of job, even with a US citizenship), and fought with them for four years, working as an explosives expert and field agent. He fought in Yemen, Afghanistan, India, an Iranian embassy in England, and South America. There was little free time. In the South American mission, Ivan was shot in the shoulder because he couldn’t hear another member telling him that he was in the line of fire. After that point, he and Belroth (the Dreadnaught leader) decided that it would be best for him to leave and pursue something else.
Now that he was qualified to be a nuclear physicist and had itched the “one more campaign of combat” scratch, Ivan decided that he wanted to teach. He found a job at Mendel University, a college in Mendel, Louisiana that had an excellent chemistry department (although eclipsed by their genetics program, which is the best in the country). He settled down in a nice big house paid for by genius stock trading (his power helps) and a nice pension, and got married about two years ago. It wasn’t until he befriended a genetic professor at the school, Dr.Tobias Wright, that Ivan discovered that he was a metahuman. His power was (and is) nothing spectacular, and so he always assumed that it was adrenaline that made him so good at his job.

Power: Ivan is strange in that he actually has several small powers that are all relatively insignificant alone. Firstly, he has supernatural focus. He has perfect vision, and his brain is designed to focus on individual tasks with extreme precision, giving him perfect aim and steady hands (helpful when defusing bombs). His focus is so good that he has just recently (since joining the Dreadnaughts) acquired a new ability: bullet time. Ivan can slow his perception of the world down, allowing him to react to things much faster. He never realized that this was a power because he believed it to be simply adrenaline, but now that he understands it he can use it to dodge projectiles and move with supernatural accuracy for his age. In addition to this, Ivan has a very mild form of precognition in the form of premonitions. He knows when something is about to happen right before it happens, like when he yelled “f*ck!” in Russian a second before the bullet hit him back in South America. This gives him an edge in things like stock trading, as he can sense when stocks are about to rise and fall. Thirdly and finally, Ivan’s brain doesn’t degenerate. This is actually a realistic superpower, something that Albert Einstein had that allowed him to be so intelligent. Ivan’s brain tissue doesn’t die with age, and the cells around it are designed to supply nutrients to the brain cells indefinitely. This gives Ivan superior memory to normal humans, and allows him to sustain certain ideas for very long times. When Ivan is ninety, his brain will still be as healthy as a twenty-year-old’s, meaning that he will never become senile and will become smarter the older he gets.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Ivan’s bullet time can only last about twenty seconds at a pop before turning off. His precognition is instant and, while it gives him time to react, isn’t really “seeing into the future”. Besides that, Ivan’s powers have no combat applications, so they don’t need a weakness.

Other: Ivan lives in a fairly-sizeable single-family house on the outskirts of West Mendel with his wife, Melissa.

Physical Appearance: The first thing you think when you see Titus is “wow, he’s big”. Titus is a towering mass of muscle, 6’7” with the musculature of a professional powerlifter. His arms hang down to a little below his waist and ripple with muscle. He has an enormous pair of hands, big enough to palm a basketball. He has a very wide stance that makes it look like the ground should shake when he walks, and a wide barrel chest that makes him look even more enormous than he already is. Titus’ hair matches his burly appearance. It is kept in a short bush of sorts, and resembles a mane. On his face is a massive full red beard that makes him look almost like an alpha male. He has a prominent nose and intense-looking dark green eyes that make his emotions look much more intense. Titus is never just “happy”, he’s jubilant and rocking with warm hearty laughter like Santa McClaus, and he’s never just angry; he’s absolutely furious and is ten seconds from steam blasting out of his ears like a cartoon character. . On Titus’ right bicep is the tattoo of a scottish claymore with a green ribbon hanging from it and blowing in the wind. Titus’ voice is gruff and deep, like he has roid rage. He almost always sounds angry.

Attire: Imagine a city kid trying to look like a lumberjack. Titus is fond of ripped-up jeans and flannel shirts that make him look like a bigger douchebag than he already is. The flannel is often rolled up to his elbows to make him look like he does more than lift weights and drink creatine for a living. He wears a pair of black biker boots on his feet, and a matching belt with a large gaudy skull buckle. When it’s cold, Titus wears his black Skulls jacket, which clashes horribly with his shirt.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: The most hilarious and informative way to experience Titus’ personality is firsthand, so this will be brief. In short, Titus is a douchebag. He has a very short temper, and has a habit of acting like a total moron when he’s pissed off. He makes terrible decisions when angry that usually lead him down a path that makes him look stupid and weak. He loves fighting, and loves gloating about fighting more. Titus rarely wins fights, despite his powers, making him the ultimate iron buttmonkey. Titus fancies himself a ladies man. Ladies, however, do not. Most women find Titus creepy and overbearing. He rarely ever has a girlfriend, although if you asked him, he sleeps with a different girl every day of the week. Stop lying, Titus. We all know that the only girl you ever get is Jill.

Hobbies/Interests: Lift, drink more than he should, lift, smoke, flirt badly, not get laid, lift, drink protein, lift, brag, drive like an idiot, lift, watch football, cheer way too overbearingly, smash things when the refs make bad calls, and lift.
Skills/Talents: Not winning fights and not getting laid. He’s a master at both of those. He can play bass, but rarely does because he says it’s “lame”. The bass has the same opinion of you as you do of it, Titus. So does your mother.

History/Bio: Titus was born in Mendel, and has lived there all his life. The son of a lawyer, Titus always had plenty of money growing up. He came from a family of metas, and so he never really felt like a freak. To be completely honest with you, there’s nothing special about Titus’ life. He attended Academy 218, and is famous for putting several holes in the walls of the dorm building. He came back to Mendel afterwards and found out that he was pretty much worthless to the workforce. Unlike his father, Titus was a C-D average in school, and he didn’t want to go to college. So what did he do? He decided to join the Skulls. That way, he figured, he’d have plenty of time to do what he loves; fighting and being a nuisance to society!

Power: There is but one question to ask about Titus MacArthur, and that question is:

Do you even lift?

Yes he does, my friend. Yes. He. Does. Titus is a possessor of near-unconquerable strength and regeneration. Take Hulk’s strength and give it to Wolverine and you have Titus MacArthur. Titus can smash cars, lift train engines, and crush a human skull with one hand. He can lift somewhere around 50,000 pounds, enough to bench press a train car. His bones are fortified to take such weight, and if he does lift too much, his body can regenerate extremely well. Titus can heal pretty easily. Small wounds only take a few minutes to heal, and wounds on his body rarely take more than three hours to heal. He is immune to poisons and disease.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Titus is fucking strong. He can smash pretty much anything in the rp, but his powers with his personality bears similarities to giving a seven-year-old a sledgehammer. Titus may be strong, but he has no common sense and is quite frankly a moron. He doesn’t really know how to fight, and so finesse fighters (*coughsmiacoughs*) can pretty easily kick his ass. So long as you can dodge the bone-shattering haymakers, most metas with some sort of offensive prowess can beat Titus in a straight-up fight. In addition to this, he’s stubborn, so even if someone was telling Titus how to beat his opponent, he wouldn’t listen. In addition to this, Titus is tremendously heavy. This makes him slow and prevents him from doing things like swimming well and standing on heavy things.

Appearance

Hair Color: dirty blonde, bordering on brown.

Ethnicity: French/German. White.
Physical Appearance: Damian is a compact man with a thick build. He is one of those people that don’t look big until they take their shirt off. He is very well-defined, with a slightly doughy stomach area. Possessing a v-shaped body and strong back and arm muscles, he looks like he could do pull-ups for a living. Unlike most gym rats, Damian’s legs are actually more toned than his arms. He works them out regularly, as they come in handy with his power. He has long arms and long fingers that end in badly-kempt nails that he tries to cut himself, but fails. Like the other original members, Damian has a tattoo of the Skulls symbol on the left side of his chest, below his collarbone. He has another tattoo about halfway down his right side of the French Fleur de Lis. Damian’s right shoulder is badly torn-up, with several scrape-like scars from a motorcycle crash. Another spot on his back has a crescent-shaped scar made by stitching, from where a piece of asphalt from said motorcycle crash tore though his jacket and was embedded just above his right kidney. Damian’s hair is cut in a crew cut in a very soldierly manner. Even though he is young, his hairline is starting to recede, and so he has a large forehead.
Damian’s head is roughly pentagonal, with a pointy chin and a sharp jawline. There is a cut above his right eyebrow made by a knife from a member of a rival gang a few years back. The wound appears as if it was meant to take his eye out, but missed. Damian has thin, dark eyebrows that look bushier than they are, and a large fleshy nose. His ears are somewhat large, and stick out since he has little hair. Damian's voice is mellow with an obvious Southern drawl.

Attire: Damian dresses similarly to the other Skulls. On a usual day, Damian will wear a white tee shirt, a pair of dark-colored jeans, his vest, and a pair of throwing shoes (I’ll get to that in a second). Damian’s vest is made of leather, and has the Skulls symbol on the back. His pants are held up by a nylon belt with a large silver skull-shaped buckle on it. Throwing shoes are shoes used in track and field for throwing discuses. The bottoms of the shoes are smooth, and there is a groove under the ball of the foot to make rotation easier. Damian wears a pair of Asics Cyberthrow London spinning shoes (google them because I’m lazy). They will help out with his power. Another thing that Damian keeps on him 24/7 is a discus carrying bag, a satchel of sorts that holds two discuses made of carbon fiber with a carbon steel ring.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: The two words that best describe Damian are crazy and arrogant. Damian loves him some Damian. He looks in the mirror a lot, even though he’s not the most attractive bloke, and talks with a certain tilt of the head that makes people think he’s a lot more important than he actually is. He’s a jerk a lot of the time, making fun of people and making some rather cruel jokes, but it’s all harmless. Most people who get to know Damian well know that his teasing is good-natured. He has a mouth on him, cursing fluidly and possessing the wit to come up with some very creative off-the-cuff insults. Damian is a very social and extroverted, spending most of his time hanging out with friends. When with friends, Damian does some very stupid things. He is prone to peer pressure, and when enough people convince him to, he can do some incredibly stupid things. He can’t hold liquor well either, which exacerbates this problem.
Despite his good nature and generally silly attitude, Damian is a bitch if he gets pissed off. He’s the definition of a homeboy, loving both his city and his friends with a deep passion. If he had the choice between Skeleton and Grease and eternal happiness, he’d pick his friends and let his soul rot in Hell.

Hobbies/Interests: Damian is a fan of many sports, such as track/field, football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse (do they have lacrosse in Louisiana?). He both watches and plays these sports. Damian also really likes working with cars, and is trained in being a mechanic. He usually functions as the gang’s mechanic. he owns a very nice custom-built Corvette Stingray that he and his father built together. He keeps it in a locked garage at headquarters. Touching Damian’s corvette is punishable by death. He’s fond of old music (50s and 60s) and classic cars.

Skills/Talents: He’s a master at basically every sport that involves throwing things. He has a little background with karate, but learned most of his fighting on the streets. He’s a good mechanic (good enough to build a car). He knows how to throw a discus extremely well, and throws throwing knives well also. He is learning how to throw shurikens.
Prized Possession: A tie between his corvette and his discuses.

History/Bio: Damian was born and bred in Mendel. He grew up in the poor part of the city. His dad was an entrepreneur who owned his own mechanic shop in East Rail. His dad managed the shop and worked as a head mechanic, and his mom was the secretary at the front desk. The Shop, as Damian now calls it, was his father’s life. They lived in a small flat above The Shop, the three of them, and never really asked for much at all. Life was good; the bills were high and the income was low, but they always made it work. It was a charmed life, living above The Shop. Damian’s family rarely fought (in front of him, at least). Damian showed a knack for sports early in his life, and played quarterback in Pop Warner football. Damian’s powers slowly began to increase over time, and soon he was famous for being able to throw footballs extraordinarily accurately.
In middle school, Damian got made fun of a lot because he wasn’t (and still isn’t) the most attractive guy to ever walk the earth. He always wore somewhat ragged clothes and never had much money. Then he met Peter Osten. Unlike most of the kids around, Pete didn’t judge Damian for his money, and the two became the best of friends. By their freshman year of high school, Damian and Peter were joined by Amber and Kylie. The four of them prowled the streets of East Mendel, hanging out and doing all kinds of illegal stuff. Damian was the varsity quarterback on the football team, and the gang would be there for every game, both home and away. He flourished in high school, getting fairly good grades and being a pro at sports. He broke the school record in discus and won the Louisiana state championships with a throw of 175ft. sophomore year (that is monstrously far). He won Penn Relays (a huge track meet) with a throw of 228ft. By this point, he knew that he had powers (he threw a football so hard once that it busted through a concrete wall) but through practice with Pete, he managed to learn how to control the power enough so that it wasn’t blatantly obvious.
When Damian graduated high school, he could throw a discus 235 feet with his powers dialed down (but not absent), making him the best discus thrower in the country. He went to Mendel University on athletic scholarship, but the first year there, the NCAA started performing genetic tests to make sure that meta humans weren’t trying to cheat. He failed the gene test, but that wouldn’t have mattered anyways, because in the first meet of the year he was angry because his longtime girlfriend had been cheating on him, and so threw the discus four-hundred feet and caused it to glow via black body radiation. The discus was found four-hundred-fifty feet away from the ring, on fire and stuck into a concrete slab. Since he no longer played football, Damian had no sport to play in college, and he lost his scholarship. Damian’s parents couldn’t pay for a college education at MU, and so, with a heavy heart, his father had to tell Damian that he could no longer attend the university. Now that he couldn’t throw, Damian didn’t really care much about this. He decided to become a mechanic like his dad, and got training on the job.
Then the riots came. When Pete killed that protester, the entire city went to shit with Damian still inside. Peter, Kylie, and Damian fought side-by-side against the humans, and when Peter became Skeleton, Damian was the one that rushed him to the hospital. Damian stuck by his friends through and through, and still does to this very day. The gang was his idea, and he, Grease, and Skeleton were the first three members. Damian is the only one of the original members of the Skulls who keeps in touch with his parents. He still works at The Shop every once in a while, and helps out his dad, who is going through the early stages of Parkinson’s Disease.

Power Class: It's control over a law of physics, so I guess super system?
Power: Centripetal force manipulation. Basically, Damian can control and amplify centripetal force. In a nutshell, centripetal force is the force of acceleration behind circular motion. Centripetal force is what keeps things moving in circular motions, and why things like cars move faster when they move in a circular path. What this means for Damian is complete control over anything that spins. Damian can amplify the acceleration of objects moving in a circular pattern, amping up both their speed and force. Damian’s main weapon is a discus because it spins both during the throwing windup and after being let go (look it up on youtube). Thanks to his power, Damian can send discuses flying at speeds of nearly 350 miles per hour, fast enough to catch cars from behind and hard enough to obliterate whatever they strike (his discuses are made of carbon fiber and reinforced steel because they actually glow with heat in flight because they’re moving so fast). The discuses can tear through concrete and on more than one occasion have gutted SUVs. Damian can move extremely quickly in circular motions as well. He can move his arm so fast that he can curve bullets and deliver crushing blows. He can deliver spinning kicks hard enough to shatter bone, and he’s the only person in the world that can keep one of those damned novelty plastic spinning tops spinning for more than five seconds. Damian can limitedly influence the path of spinning objects that he has recently touched, making his throwing attacks much more accurate (ie don’t overdo it with the fucking autododge).

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Well firstly, Damian’s body wasn’t exactly made to throw bone-crushing punches or launch carbon fiber discs at blazing hot speeds. He can overexert himself extremely easily, and his spinning physical attacks can break one of his bones as easily as it can break an enemy’s bones. This essentially means that Damian has to hold back when in close quarters, because if he goes full bore, he could hurt himself just as badly as he hurts his enemy. Secondly, while Damian’s ranged weaponry is deadly fast and accurate, he can still miss, and if he does it’s not going to be pretty. The discuses Damian throws have so much force behind them that they can bust through concrete and obliterate automobiles; basically anything he hits is fucked. This can act as a weakness as well, because if Damian misses he could possibly harm innocents through collateral damage. His power is more like artillery than it is sniping in this sense. Because of this, Damian normally does not employ his weapons in crowded areas because he doesn’t want to kill any innocent people. Thirdly, Damian cannot break other laws of physics, ie the second law of motion (every action has an equal and opposite reaction). This means that if Damian really rips a weapon at full speed, he will be spinning for quite a bit to get rid of all the recoil. Spinning, of course, makes people dizzy, and so overexertion can cause Damian to become very dizzy, making him temporarily vulnerable.

Other: Damian rides a black 2015 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special into battle. The saddlebags on the motorcycle carry six extra discuses, as well as some throwing knives.
