Guls had been watching the fights with interest. The young man who fought the alien showed excellent endurance and tactical thinking, and in this day and age proper attacks with Ki were a rare find. Ultra-Dimension hadn't disappointed either, showing a true warrior's spirit despite his flashy antics and carrying on even with a serious wound. The two Saiyan girls had been interesting as well. Even The former champion had proven to be a capable fighter to have lasted as long as he did against his troubled young Namekian opponent. Guls made a mental note to assess him should they be paired against each other later in the tournament.

It was then that the announcer spoke up, breaking through Guls reflections on the previous fights.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! The fifth match of the first round is about to begin! The first fighter is the tricky killer clown, give it up for Slapstick!" Guls couldn't help noticing that applause for his opponent was as lacking and unenthusiastic as when the lanky man in clown makeup was first introduced. In his decades-long stay on Earth, Guls himself had decided that he wasn't overly fond of clowns, nor did he understand why Earth's population might think they were funny. "His opponent is another Namekian with a fondness for swords, let's hear it for Guls! Fighters! Make your entrance!" As Guls took his place on stage, he couldn't help but notice that his opponent's power level was far below what he himself was capable of in a fight. Yet the strange harlequin seemed completely undisturbed, his face constantly split with a smile that Guls almost wished was just painted on. He moved to shake hands with the grinning Jester, but the bizarre man reacted to the gesture by honking his red rubber nose like a horn, bending over and smacking his own posterior! The resulting giggling and snickering from the crowd hardly helped matters.

This has got to be the second most humiliating fight I've ever been involved in! But I can't let him rattle me before the fight, it's exactly what he wants. I'll just end it quickly along with his mockery. Instead Guls moved a few steps back and rested his hand confidently close to his sword, while Slapstick danced in place and blew raspberries at him not even bothering to take a fighting stance. Through the continued giggling and amusement of the crowd, the announcer's professionally serious voice was just able to boom out "Let the battle...begiiiiiin!"

Guls had planned on rushing Slapstick and taking him out in a single blow, but almost at the same time as the announcer shouted out for the match to start the cloaked Namekian was suddenly confronted with an entire army of identical clowns rushing at him from all sides. Guls dodged each blow in the storm of punches and kicks from all directions with surprising speed, but when he slashed at one with a testing strike from his sword the blade passed harmlessly through it. Chiding himself for reacting so easily to tricks and illusions he ignored the army of fakes, only to take a sudden punishing blow to the back that made him gasp out more from shock than pain.

Whirling, Guls slashed through the copy of Slapstick closest to the origin of the strike only for the back of his blade to slip through it like water once again. Instead he was hit from behind with what felt like a hard kick to the joint of his right leg. The attack didn't phase him much but as he struck in retaliation what should have been a decisive hit against his opponent was wasted on yet another illusory clown. This continued for several minutes and each time Guls was hit with a very real attack, but each time the Slapstick he counterattacked was a ghostly duplicate.

Fed up with taking a beating from the clown but not willing to use anywhere near his true strength for fear of accidentally killing his weak but tricky opponent, Guls momentarily sheathed his sword while increasing his power just a little. then The Green Swordsman unsheathed it in a flurry of blows with the dull edge fast enough to hit every copy of Slapstick at once.

All while failing to hit the real clown. While they winked back into place the horde of illusions blew raspberries at Guls in tandem as a downward strike to the back of the head knocked him to the arena's tiles. Unfortunately for Slapstick, Guls failure to connect with a solid blow confirmed his theory about the trickster's techniques. After rising up and dusting himself off, he closed his eyes in apparent disregard for his opponent. In reality he was focusing his other senses, ignoring both what his eyes told him and the minor pains from Slapstick's attacks. A human might not have noticed it up amid the roaring crowd and the announcer's commentary, but his sensitive Namekian hearing picked up the beating of his opponents heart and the characteristic scuffle of oversized clown shoes. Even more damning, his opponent's faint powerlevel spiked along with the noise giving away his attack. Guls thrust his sheathed sword out in a perfect parry then grabbed it and smashed the hilt out against the seemingly empty air.

Slapstick suddenly popped into view as the hilt-strike sent him spinning all the way to the edge of the Arena, barely catching himself in time as his clones vanished. He wobbled woozily to his feet and swayed back to stand in front of Guls, but gave the crowd a melodramatic wave and bow before repeating his butt-smacking antics in Guls direction once again and pulling down an eyelid while sticking out his tongue. Irritated, Guls resheathed his sword and moved to blunt-edge slash his mocking opponent hard enough to send him flying the rest of the way out of the ring in one blow. But instead Slapstick materialized a strange shield of orange Ki at the last minute and as the blade touched it, all of the force seemed to reverse back at Guls. This sent the sharpened edge of the Namekian's own sword back at him, tearing his veiled hood and cutting a long but shallow scratch into his cheek as the sword flew from his grip.

Slapstick danced about, cackling and hooting in wordless clownish glee as Guls stepped back for a moment and eyed his opponent, visibly surprised despite his face being still partially covered. The clown went into a victory dance at drawing the first real blood of the match, wiggling and gyrating in a manner that disturbed even the hardened Namekian fighter, his creepy laugh echoing around the tournament grounds all the while. Finally, Guls walked over to pick up and resheath his sword and spoke up just loud enough to be heard over his opponent, though Slapstick continued to laugh and dance.

"Up until now, this fight has been nothing but a child's game and you've been using childish tricks. You've been taking advantage of my playing along to get the better of me, but that stops now. Because as of right now..."

Guls powered up to about a little under half his strength, but all at once. The sudden release of power was enough to not only send his cloak billowing out around him but push Slapstick off of his big red-shoe'd feet. Guls gripped his sword as the burst of power radiated off of him, and instead of laughter or mockery the clown only opened his mouth in shock as Guls shouted into the sudden silence:

"I'm through clowning around!"

Then suddenly it was all over. Guls was standing with his sword drawn just to the back of where Slapstick had been as three identical afterimages faded from view, all surrounding a pair of empty clown shoes. As for the clown himself, several gasps and shouts from the audience and high-speed camera footage revealed the truth. In that brief instant, Guls had drawn and resheathed his sword three times from different sides, then smacked the cruel clown on the bottom with the flat of his sword so hard that the man had been sent arcing out of the ring, over the wall and into an empty seat in the stands, butt-first.

Sheathing his sword for a final time, The Green Swordsman bowed to the audience. Maybe that would be enough of a show to attract potential students.

Light watched the fights before hers. While she found Guls fight interesting due to the antics of his opponent and how cool he stayed during that fight., the fight with the two sayan girls wasn't that great she thought, mostly because it ended in a ring-out. She didn't like how Gul's fight ended as well, but the clown saved that fight from her ire. She did enjoy the fight with the current champion and the namekian though, as that had actually ended with a knockout!

"Welp, my turn! Wonder where my opponent..." Light began as Tiny finally showed himself, coming out from around the building. The man, much like his picture, looked like a giant muscly mountain. He used his knuckles to walk more than his feet, which were very small and for the most part, disproportionate to the rest of his body.

"Well, this'll be fun." Light said as she walked into the area along with Tiny, who only grunted at her presence. apparently, or at least Light felt, Tiny didn't see her as much of a threat. After all, Light was just over half his size, but Tiny was in for a rude awakening from the white majin.

"Now for the sixth fight ladies and gentleman!" The announcer began. "First, Tiny, the muscle mountain!" The announcer said, pointing at Tiny who raised one of his large arms to wave to the cheering audience. "And the Majin, Light!" He continued, Light cheerfully waving at the polite applause. Light herself deciding that she would go for a knockout, though as to how she was still undecided. Though if she couldn't pummel him into submission, she could always just drain the poor guy.

The two of them got into position, Light thinking over what to do with this man. Obviously he was huge, but that was more of a weakness Light decided, as she knew that she was often stronger than most musclemen out on the streets, who often just assume shes weak due to her small frame, but were often mistaken.

With word from the announcer, the fight began. Tiny, after unleashing a low roar, charged Light. "Great, I knew this was how things were going to go." she thought as she slid under the man as he pushed off the ground with his knuckles in an attempt to grab her. Now with his back to her, Light jumped on it, using his muscles as foot holds as she started to punch joints and the like. This didn't have much of an effect however, as they were even lined with muscle. Tiny himself though wasn't very smart, and attempted to grab Light, but unable to reach her due to his arms being far too big. At one point he had almost grabbed her dress as he began to spin around.

After a few moments of this, Tiny got dissy and fell down, Light just barely managing to jump off the man before he could crush her under his bulk. Light decided to reassess the situation as he got back up, mostly unharmed, although he did slump a little more than before. "Mm... Either I power up or drain him a bit. Hm... " Angry at how Light was looking at him, Tiny roared again and charged. But instead of leaping at her, he started to use his long reach to throw punches at her. Light was able to dodge a good amount of them, until Tiny siped at her with two sweeps of his arms, grabbing her instead of punching.

Light was surprised at how weak he actually was, as when he squeezed her, a feat that was mostly useless against majins due to their inherantly rubbery attributes, he wasn't able to squeeze as hard as she thought he would be able to. Sure he caused her to squeak like a toy on occasion, something that seemed to give tiny immense joy, but said squeezes eventually began to grow weaker and weaker due to being in constant contact with Light, her little ride on his back showing how effective it really was. When he started to breath hard, Light powered up a bit to break herself free form his grip, inflated herself as she was looking really skinny due to being squeezed so much, then dodged Tiny's slow retaliating blow.

Going back to his punching shenanigans, Light hoped up on his second punch, running to sit on his head, absently waving to the audience before jumping off onto his back when Tiny attempted to punch her off his head, hitting himself in the process. While off balance, Light delivered a couple more powerful punches into his shoulders, knocking him to the ground. Tiny attempted to get up numerous times, all while Light was holding onto him, until he began to breath very hard and gave up.

A quick three count and Light was victorious, the crowd cheering at her as the announcer said "And with a knockout, Light is the winner!" It took a lot of people to carry the massive mountain Tiny off of the arena, who looked very tired from the fight. Light, declining medical attention, pointing out she was a Majin and thus she'd heal herself faster than they could patch her up, went back and sat in her spot back in the fighters area.

Chikori

How? How did I lose? I... I'm... This means nothing! Nothing at all! It was just a fluke that's all!

Battered and bruised, Chikori slumped into a seat backstage, as close to the buffet table as possible. Not wasting a moment, she began gorging herself, partially for comfort but mostly due to her Saiyan appetite, all the while going over in her head just what had happened. How did she lose? Where had it all gone wrong?

It started off well. That girl with the stupid hair (sure, she claimed it was a traditional Saiyan hairstyle based on that of the royal family) had opened with a bunch of flashy laser-y things, but Chikori had dodged them easily! Sure, Coco had better control of her ki but she couldn't beat Chikori's speed. And she'd soon closed the gap between the two, fists flying at high speed as they both sparred, neither of them seeming to land a good hit against the other; they seemed evenly matched when it came to fisticuffs, but again Chikori's speed gave her a slight edge... And then she'd hit her with her patented Landslide Fist! Her heart had swelled when she heard the roar of the crowd as each punch hit dead on target, driving Coco closer and closer to the edge... She could do this! At that moment, she knew she could do it! All she needed to do was land her Dynamite Kick right in Coco's chest and... And...

...And she wasn't there anymore. Her foot went flying through the air, and somehow she managed to only just barely avoid falling out of bounds herself. Was that an afterimage? Had Coco just... But she had no time to think about it, as her entire body had suddenly turned limp. Barely able to turn her head around, she saw... Yes, it was Coco. She was behind her, an arrogant smirk plastered across her face as one hand tightly gripped Chikori's tail. Sadistically, she slowly raised her free hand, and in a flash of ki...

...She refused to admit it! She was a proud Saiyan, after all, and there was no way she could've been taken out by an afterimage technique, the oldest trick in the book! No, no, no! It was... It wasn't what was supposed to happen...

Despondent, the young Saiyan girl spent the next few matches stuffing her face whilst occassionally looking at the other fights. At least they seemed to be doing pretty well... And she'd never seen a Majin or a Namekian fight before. Honestly, they were really good... Almost as good as she wished she could be. Well, "wish" was probably the wrong word, what with the Dragon Balls being here and all. She'd never use them to gain strength; after all, that was cheating, and it would just feel hollow to not achieve it by her own power. Still... She didn't seem to be getting there anytime soon...

Jack blinked a few times after he opened his eyes. The ceiling lights of the small infirmary seemed abnormally bright to him, so he squinted as he tried sitting upright. As soon as he began to prop his elbows onto the thin bed he began to feel a throbbing pain in his head. The champion instinctively brought a hand to his head, letting out a surprised and painful groan. "What the...?" he asked aloud, trying to remember what happened. After a few seconds it all came back to him. His fight against the Namekian. His defeat. The memory combined with the pain caused him to grit his teeth and scowl.

"Welcome back Mr. Ryan," the attendant spoke up, approaching the bed from the other side of the room. Jack swung his legs around to stand up but the young man stopped him. "We've run some scans and it seems you have no brain damage but we need to see if you have a concussion. You probably do so you need to sit here a moment longer and follow my instructions." The scowl turned into a standard frown as Jack brought his hand back from his head. After the brief test was over, the attendant stood out of Jack's way. "By some miracle it seems that you don't have a concussion either. You really are a champion."

"Was a champion," Jack snorted as he got to his feet. The headache still persisted but had become manageable over the past few minutes. "How long was I out? I... I don't think I've ever been knockout out before..." The attendant looked over at the clock before looking back to Jack. "You were unconscious for about seven minutes, give or take," he answered before walking away. Now that he was alone in the infirmary, Jack let out an obvious groan of disdain. What the hell happened out there? he thought to himself as he clenched a fist. I had him on the ropes. I gave it everything I had. But he just suddenly... came back.

As the soon-to-be former champion entered the fighters' area he immediately spotted the opponent that had defeated him. The large Namekian was standing in the same spot he had been before their fight, looking out the window. Presently the Majin girl was fighting a gigantic human and that fight had his attention. Jack considered approaching Fenro but quickly decided against it. That was humiliating. How could I be so weak? All my years of training accumulating to... this? I was beaten effortlessly. What will my fans think about this? My friends? My family? What would Master Quan think about me?

Jack sat down at the table nearest the buffet, several seats over from one of the Saiyan girls. He recognized that she had also lost her fight, the fight before his, and smirked slightly. With me this is now officially the losers' table, he thought to himself. The joke in his mind quickly faded away and the frown returned. Placing his elbows on the table and holding his head in his hands, Jack brought his gaze toward the windows to get some kind of view of the current fight. At least I tried my hardest. I guess. Jack closed his eyes for a moment as his headache increased in intensity briefly. Once it settled down he opened his eyes and let out a sigh. "What a day..." Jack spoke to himself.

Naturally David had been following the fight between Guls and Slapstick as intensively as all the others, and while he didn't say anything he thought the clown's antics resembled those of Ultra-Dimension the only difference being that Slapstick seemed to do it to anger the opponent. In the end though the Namekian managed to show that he was the better fighter.

As Light was leaving the rest area David shouted at her. "Good luck!" Immediately afterwards he turned his attention back to the screen, not wanting to miss anything from this match either . The only thing that struck him as odd during the fight was that Tiny's squeezing didn't seem to hurt the Majin that much. "I'll need to remember that."

When the match ended David decided to grab a quick snack over at the buffet table., only to see that Chikori had beaten him to it. His first idea was to congratulate her on making it this far in the tournament, but he had no idea hoe the tailed girl might react. So without saying anything he just grabbed some food.

Nel Lilac - PL: 250/300

Sure he might had been going a bit overboard and he'd probably be found out sooner than later, but he just had to get in there. Even if it meant just for a little while. He pulled himself up and inside, slipping in with the soft taps of his boots against the floor. He winced a bit, unsure if the trained ears of the others fighters would grasp his entrance.

His heart stuttered. He was finally surrounded by other fighters, he thought. His want and need to test himself made him giddy. He unclenched his fist and peeked over his shoulder, only to see that he was alone. He was in a dull room, there was no one around and it was quiet. Chairs were positioned in a sociable manner, large, relaxing trees shaded the areas from the sun.

“How lucky am I?” he asked himself, slouching over and wiping his forehead of the stress. “All that climbing and sneaking sure paid off.” He strolled off with his hands tucked in his pockets, appearing confident in his presence there. Three minutes later and he was inside the rest area, the other fighters seemed tense and heavy with emotion. Guess not everyone was cut out for losing, some was too use to winning all the time.

He paused and glanced at Fenaro, the green man had caught his attention but maybe he should talk to Jack first, just to get a better grasp of the guy. Hastily he walked over to Jack, pulled up a chair, and sat in it.

“You're Jack right?” he asked as a greeting. “I just saw your fight, not exactly the greatest moment in your life, huh?”

Light walked around the resting area, waiting for her next fight, until she caught the scent of food. Hungry, mostly because she was squeezed like a sponge, she followed the smell until she found the dining area. "How did I not see this before? Seriously." she said to herself as she found a seat at the table. She looked around the table and noticed that both the winners and losers of most of the fights were here. Of course Tiny wasn't there, who had apparently fallen asleep after his fight with Light, but Jack, who had also been knocked out, was awake and eating already.

Light noticed there was a person at the table she didn't recognize, but dismissed it as one of the tournament workers or maybe a media hound or something, considering they were talking to Jack, and decided to start stuffing herself much like the sayans next to her were doing. Though she sometimes played with her fod a bit before she ate it, using that time to try to overhear the conversations that were going on around her.

Shady entered the ring, tying the red belt around his tabard. If he tripped over it in the heat of battle... well, that sort of ridiculousness was severely frowned upon. His opponent, as far as he knew, was the typical jerk human from the movies. The type who learned karate to beat people up. But that changed when Shady saw him enter the ring and the barbels on his chin began twitching. This... didn't add up. He didn't look much tougher than he should be if he just completed a regular training course... but somehow he was just a bit more powerful than the Plantian. There was a wish on the line here, and he couldn't afford to fool around. He also couldn't afford to get hurt that badly...

As the fight began, the jock began to open his mouth to talk. Shady responded by jumping into the air. One Plantian went up... and several hundred fell onto the human, swarming over him like ants.

"QUICK! GRAB HIS DUMB HAIR!"
"STEP ON HIS LEGS!"
"KICK HIM IN THE GLUBARK!"

The ever-growing mound of Shadys continued to beat up on the human, who fired off several confused ki blasts. However, soon he was stuck under their full weight and pinned to the arena. The fight was over, and the clones were all cheering as they left the arena.

"FAHU FORACE, DAHOO DORAZ!"

The Champion wasn't paying attention when Nel appeared next to him. The sound of his voice made him jump in surprise. "Wha?" he let out before realizing that a fan had simply gotten into the fighters' area. After calming down and letting out a sigh, Jack smiled and began to laugh. "You surprised me there," he confessed after he returned to a neutral state. After another sigh he picked up an empty glass and a pitcher of water. "Yeah, I kinda got beat out there. But it doesn't matter too much in the end. Winning isn't everything. Losing is a part of life." After pouring himself a glass he looked first at Nel then out to the window.

"Interesting that no security kept you out of the area," Jack commented before taking a sip of his drink. "I personally don't mind but people can't just be flooding the place. Those still in the tournament need their space." He looked at the large Namekian before systematically glancing over at all the victors so far. "I might not be continuing in the tournament but at least I'll get to watch some good fights. I'm sure of it." Another sip of his drink and his gaze went back to Nel. "So what do you want me to sign?" he joked.
As Shady and his many various clones left the stage, the announcer spoke up again. "And now for the final fight of the first round! We have newcomers Meat and Vetro! Fighters! Take the stage!" The tall, lanky human that is Vetro quickly bounded to the stage, full of energy. By the time he reached his starting point the bulky midget Meat just started walking to the stage. The two fighters squared up at the center. Vetro was easily three times the height of his opponent but in all likelihood they probably weighed the same. Fenro stood at perfect attention in the fighting area as the gong sounded.

The small man took up an interesting stance where he brought his arms to his sides but kept his fists forward, almost like he was charging up. Wasting no time, Vetro dashed forward and began a barrage of punches and kicks. To everyone's surprise, Meat simply stood in his pose without making any effort to dodge or block, taking every blow full-force. After a moment of this, Meat began radiating a blue glow. Once Vetro noticed this, as well as realizing that his attacks were doing nothing to his smaller foe, he jumped back to a safe distance. "Are you going to fight, man?" Vetro asked, confused as to what was going on.

With a shout of primal rage, Meat blasted forward. His head connected with Vetro's midsection, sending the lanky man flying through the air like a rocket. As Vetro crashed into and entirely through the concrete wall beneath the stands, the announcer began shouting. "Wow! That was so fast I could hardly keep my eyes on it! The winner is Meat! I knew betting money on him was a good idea!" The large Namekian glared at the small human as he casually walked off the stage.
Jack heard the announcer declare the winner and looked out the window. "Huh. I missed it. Must've been another quick one. I guess the second round will begin soon," he spoke, mostly to himself. He returned his attention to Nel. "As I was saying you should probably lay a bit low and try not to bother too many people. The fighters need to focus, after all. But you can talk to losers like me all you want." With his jab that he made at himself, Jack chuckled a few times before letting out a depressed sigh.

David was still curious about the fights, but right now the buffet table had most of his attention. After all he wanted to recover as much energy as he could before the second round. Of course he made sure not to eat so much so fast, it would make sick during the fight, but he still put away an impressive amount while occasionally looking at the ring. Due to this he missed most of the last two first round matches and before he knew it,it was time for the second round. Once again David walked through the halls towards the ring. While he had tried not to show it he still somewhat ached from the fight with Teemo. _"Still if my opponent is who I think it is, I'll be the one in better shape, so no point in complaining."_

Guls stepped up to the buffet table where it seemed like most of the fighters were gathering, still suppressing the slight urge chuckle while remembering what had happened during the small Plantian's match. Guls had rarely seen such creative uses of the duplication technique in a match. Still, for his purposes now it wouldn't do for the other fighters to see him laughing. Instead he stepped just behind the young Saiyan girl who had lost her match while also still regarding the other fighters. He closed his eyes for a second to reaffirm his purpose and feel out the hearts and strength of the other fighters to the best of his ability before proceeding. "Girl, you desire to become stronger, do you not? If your heart burns with the same desire to better yourself that I think it does, I can show you how to become truly strong." Guls turned to the former champion and his young fan as well, though he pitched his words so that the fighters around in general could hear him. "If you want to walk down a path of victory, I can show you where to start. There are secrets to fighting in this world that go beyond what you can achieve with physical strength." Guls pulled his cloak around himself in a slightly swishy motion that had served him as a general 'mysterious person' gesture in the past, making a show of levitating a bottle of water up from the table, uncapping it and taking a drink all without moving his hands both to emphasize his point and refresh himself. "In any case, none of you have to decide now but my offer is open at any time during and after the tournament. Think on it well." After that he grasped the water bottle in his hands and folded his legs into a meditative position, sitting there drinking water while floating just slightly off of the ground. Now that the second round was about to begin, he would need to rest up and prepare. He doubted his next match was to be as easy or merely annoying as the one with Slapstick and he would have to work hard if he wanted to gain any students through the tournament.

Ultra-Dimension dropped from his ship in the sky, landing in the arena in full gear. ~~ Gecko: The first 12 seconds of the fight went fairly much like this. Granted, it was a samurai doing Sentai poses, and it was a Saiyan descendant using a finger gun, but the feel is still largely the same. As Ultra-Dimension staggered from the blow to his upper left, for a moment, David brought up his other hand and proceeded to open a volley of fire. The first shot got through sizzling into Ultra-Dimension's armor, but the next four were absorbed into Ultra-Dimension's blade as his guard was raised. The black vortex surrounding Ultra-Dimension's sword, although it had been used earlier in the fight with Shin Zen, had not shown its true purpose yet. Regardless, Ultra-Dimension seemed to get the idea that his antics would not be allowed this fight, and rather than declaring his next attack, he simply let it show itself. White lightning crackled from his blade, and the two damaged spots in his armor began repairing. The Finger Gun had showed its power when it hit, but against Ultra-Dimension's blade, every shot was a liability Ultra-Dimension could use to recharge. Duthguy: Seeing that ki-attacks were ineffective David decided to switch physical attacks despite the risk Ultra-Dimension's blade presented. With any luck he could successfully use his second signature attack and get some damage in that way. He charged at at his opponent from the right, hoping that the loss of the samurai's eye would give him some extra time. And it seemed his plan had worked, the first hook kick connected though the armor naturally decreased the effect. However it seemed Ultra-Dimension was expecting an attack from his blind spot, since he used his katana's blunt edge to sweep David's leg out from underneath while the Saiyan descendant was still unbalanced. The younger fighter fell down on the ground, giving the armored human the advantage. Gecko: Ultra-Dimension now had David in a perfect position to slice, but did not do so, instead leaping up into the air slightly before sending a knee crushing down towards David. The slight window was all David needed to flip himself up, dodging the blow narrowly. David was in position to strike at Ultra-Dimension's blind side just after they both landed, but Ultra-Dimension had once again expected that, holding his unsheathed katana there, making it dangerous for David to attack. This hesitation was all Ultra-Dimension needed to attack again. Rising from his half-kneeling position, Ultra-Dimension swung his sword in a windmill motion, timing the apex of his speed rising with the apex of power of the swing as it rose. A fast and strong attack, but very obvious, a way to force David off-balance as he dodge. Then something David didn't expect happened. Ultra-Dimension combined his motion with a flip, hooking his feet under David's arms. Ultra-Dimension was using Shin Zen's Flip Kick Combo? David expected the next move, catching himself in a handstand instead of having his head rammed into the ground. Then, he swept his legs down to counter the next move in the combo. But Ultra-Dimension wasn't on the ground. Instead of continuing the combo, he had pushed himself into the air over David using his arms, buying a moment to sheath and lock his sword before sweeping down, a sheathed Iaijtusu strike, aimed downwards from above. Once again, David barely dodged, Ultra-Dimension's katana, even sheathed smashing through the stone arena floor. As David regained his footing, Ultra-Dimension tore his blade up from the arena floor, sending a spray of shattered rock at David. David parried the largest rocks, but was still ever so slightly damaged by the many glancing hits. Neither fighter had landed a true attack in hand to hand yet. Of similar experience, instinct, and power, it was an even fight so far. Duthguy: David couldn't help but be impressed Ultra-Dimension really surprised him with his last few moves, especially the rock spray which left him with some minor cuts and bruises on his arms. From what the Saiyan descendant could tell this human was stronger and smarter than Teemo. David once more charged at the samurai seemingly going for the blind spot again, but he changed direction just before coming into melee range. Hoping that an attack from the left would catch Ultra-Dimension off guard, he went for a punch aimed at what appeared to be a weak spot in the samurai armor namely the black section around his opponent's waist. Gecko: Ultra-Dimension was fooled by the bluff. In order to attack, he had taken his primary hand of his katana, grabbing at David and attempting a knee attack while his secondary hand defended his blind side. Without the speed of both hands on his weapon, the punch hit Ultra-Dimension square. But, due to not dodging due to following through on his strike to maximize power, David was hit by Ultra-Dimension's attack in turn. The rest of the battle took the same tone. They would dodge and block each others attacks, and only once they both committed to an attack at the same time would either of them be hit, so equally matched was their martial prowess. In order to land a two handed overhead swing, freezing David's left shoulder with the force of its landing, Ultra-Dimension had to accept a reverse back kick to the chest, at the same weak point his armor had been hit before, this time fully shattering the armor over Ultra-Dimension's abdomen, bloody shards sticking in both fighters, but ignored by strength of will. In order to cripple Ultra-Dimension's primary hand with a muy thai like pincer elbow and knee strike, followed by a point-blank Finger Gun to the shoulder to make sure, David had to accept an axe kick to the ankle, sending him down to one knee. Ultra-Dimension's katana fallen to the ground, and David on one knee, both fighters had one last moment to regard one another as they unleashed their final attack. No words were spoken. With the sword out of the way, Ultra-Dimension no longer had a defense against the Finger Gun. With David's ankle damaged, David couldn't dodge or buy time to launch multiple attacks. Ultra-Dimension's sheath swung forward, David thumb came down. David went to the ground, while Ultra-Dimension staggered backwards, his helmet cracking before falling off, revealing the battered man beneath with an eyepatch, breathing raggedly from his chest injuries. Ultra-Dimension fell to one knee, but kept himself upright with his sheath, his dominant hand still hanging limply from the shoulder. The count began, and David did not rise. The fight was over by knock out, a brutal slug match with full power right from the beginning. ~~ "A fight with honor. My respect, warrior." After retrieving his weapon, Ultra-Dimension slowly and ritually sheathed it, scraping the blade against the top of the sheath before actually sheathing it.

The Champion looked over when Guls started speaking up about training. _This guy is pretty strong too. Maybe I should take him up on that offer,_ Jack thought to himself before looking out the window to see David and Ultra-Dimension begin their fight. The samurai sentai had disappeared on his ship after his first fight but it seems that he received medical attention somehow. While those two slugged it out, Jack studied their movements. _These guys are powerful too. Pretty evenly matched,_ Jack pondered as they slugged it out. Once the victor was decided, medical personnel rushed to the stage, carrying David off in the same manner they had with Jack earlier. _The next fight is with the Saiyan girl and the Namekian that beat me._ Jack looked over at the two. Fenro was still at the window, statuesque as usual. Coco, on the other hand, was stuffing her face at the buffet nearby. But with the end of David and Ultra-Dimension's fight, she finished up her plate and walked over to the exit with a confident grin on her face. "Now! We have our next match of the second round! Coco versus Fenro!!" At the call of their names the two fighters made their way to the concrete stage. The young Saiyan woman seemed like a dwarf compared to the Namekian before her. But she only had a grin of confidence. She crossed her arms over her chest as her tail flicked about behind her. "You know..." she began talking, using a surprisingly honeyed voice. "I noticed that you didn't use your full power in your fight against the Champion. But here's a fact for you: I didn't use my full power either." She uncrossed her right arm and pointed a finger at Fenro, who stood silent and unmoving. "Why don't we skip the games and go all-out?" The stern gaze of the Namekian didn't faze her. "I will only if I need to," he responded. A look of disappointment appeared on Coco's face, but it quickly turned into a devilish grin. _Perfect. I knew from the start that his pride would hold him back. That gives me the best chance to beat him quickly,_ she thought to herself slyly. The grin quickly vanished and her expression reverted to her original look of confidence. "Darn," she responded sarcastically, taking up a fighting stance. Like the first round, Fenro didn't take up any stance. The announcer finally appeared at the fighters' rest area. "Let the battle!!! Begin!!" Without hesitation, Coco brought her hands forward and unleashed a pink ball of ki. In fact she released more than one. A flurry of pink orbs flew through the air like bullets, all heading toward Fenro. Like a perpetual machine gun she kept firing blast after blast, each hit on the Namekian resulting in an explosion. The explosions damaged the stage underneath the Namekian as well, causing smoke and dust to slowly obscure Coco's view of her opponent. After one final explosion, larger than the others, the Saiyan woman stopped her barrage and began laughing maniacally. "Ha ha ha! You see! He underestimated me and I won!" she shouted toward the crowd. But as the smoke began to settle it became clear that Fenro was still standing. He had crossed his arms over his chest at some point and had an irritated expression on his face. Aside from the damage his clothes received, it appeared that he was relatively unharmed. Seeing her opponent made Coco scowl. "Your attacks were weak," Fenro explained, uncrossing his arms. Taking that as an insult, Coco held her arm to her side with her hand facing the sky. A pink ball was formed again, this one much larger than the bullets she was firing earlier. "You're the weak one!" she shouted in a rage as she tossed the ball of energy. The beachball sized ki blast rocketed toward Fenro. Just as it was about to strike him, his left arms shot out in a snappy swipe. The bottom of his palm connected with the pink energy, first causing it to bend slightly before being flung off into the sky. Coco looked stunned as her attack flew harmlessly out of the arena. After a few seconds it exploded in the air, providing a more respectable size than the attack she used earlier. "I thought you said you were going all-out?" Fenro remarked. Though his deep voice held no traces of insult, Coco took it poorly. She brought her hands forward again, keeping her scowl. "Die!!" she shouted as the barrage of energy began again. This time, however, Fenro brought his arms to his side and began walking forward. Though each blast connected with the target it seemed to do nothing to slow Fenro down as he casually strolled across the stage. The closer he got the more desperate Coco became. The large Namekian only stopped once he was within his arm's reach of the woman, though notably outside her reach due to the sheer size difference. Realizing her attacks just wouldn't work, Coco took a step back as she created another one of her more powerful ki blasts. "You think just because you're a big man that you can-!" she began shouting before being rudely interrupted by Fenro's foot. The kick to her chin sent her up into the air. The ball of energy she charged was wasted and simply vanished upon Coco being kicked. The young woman landed five meters away on her back, immediately grabbing her chin from the pain. Blood leaked from her lips. "I think you have more training to do," Fenro spoke as Coco picked herself up. The anger was in her eyes again as she wiped the blood from her chin. "You'll be out cold in a second if you take my finisher!" Coco shouted as she jumped back and began charging up the pink energy ball. In response, Fenro lifted his right hand and aimed his palm toward Coco. Bright, purple energy began forming in front of his palm. "I can say the same," Fenro responded. The ball of purple energy in his hand expanded to the same size as the pink energy in Coco's hand. Between the two energy attacks being charged there was a distinct, high-pitched noise coming from the stage. The young woman had a look of fear in her eyes for a moment before the rage returned. Yet she continued to hesitate, creating a standoff between the two fighters. "HOLD IT!" The voice of the announcer went through the entire arena, catching everyone by surprise due to the stark contrast with how quiet the fight was without the booming voice. Without turning their heads or relenting their energy attacks, both fighters let their eyes drift from their opponent to look at the announcer. The suited man was running up onto the stage with one hand pressing his earpiece and the other clutching the microphone tightly. "We have a problem!" he shouted at the fighters, not even using his microphone. "I just received a report that the guards we had around the hidden safe with the Dragonballs were beaten and the Dragonballs were stolen!" Simultaneously, the two charging energy attacks faded away. With that there was an absolute silence throughout the arena. An angry expression appeared on Fenro's face. "What the hell do you mean!?" Coco shouted at the announcer, clenching a fist in his direction. "The prize has been stolen!" the announcer responded, this time into the microphone, making it extra-loud so that everyone heard it whether they wanted to or not. The crowd begun murmuring, creating a loud ambience as Coco and Fenro approached the announcer. "How the hell did anyone find it!? I tried looking earlier myself and it was impossible. And how could the guards be so bad as to be beaten by someone that isn't even strong enough to participate in the tournament?" Coco began berating the announcer. "There are other people outside the roster that are of comparable or superior strength," Fenro stated rather calmly. "I can sense several in the crowd." This only caused Coco to scowl. By now, Jack Ryan jumped out the window of the fighters' rest area and approached the group on the stage. "What are we going to do? Do we know who it was or where they went?" Jack asked. After deliberately turning off the microphone, the announcer turned to the former Champion. "We don't know who did it. But if we want to put on a good show and avoid legal repercussions we're going to need to get the Dragonballs back. Whoever did it was strong enough to take on five men at once and also cracked the safe code. That makes the list a bit smaller but it could still be anyone. They could be long gone or they could be hiding, I don't know." The fighters on stage began to think about what to do next. "We have to be fast, before the thief can have his wish granted," Fenro spoke up again. Everyone nodded in agreement. By now several other fighters had come to the stage to hear how the conversation was going. Teemo spoke up first. "We have to track him down." This was quickly followed by a retort from Coco. "How do you know it was a him and not a her?" Then Jack intervened. "It doesn't even matter. I know Capsule Corp. had a device a long time ago that could track the Dragonballs. Maybe they still have it somewhere?"

When David woke up, he noticed he wasn't in the infirmary provided by the tournament managers, but instead somewhere much more high-tech. After a few seconds he remembered losing the match against Ultra-Dimension.While that didn't help explain where he was he at least now knew why his entire body ached, in particular his left shoulder and ankle. After he got up, David forced to walk to the nearest window, ignoring the pain coming from his ankle. When he looked outside, he noticed that he was above the arena. He quickly put two and two together. _"I must be in U-D's ship, but why."_

A door opened, and Ultra-Dimension walked in, his right arm currently frozen inside the suit, as though the suit were acting as a sling for it. However, his helmet was off, revealing the rather ordinary American looking man. Albeit with a techno-eyepatch. "Welcome." Ultra Dimension looked up from a pad in his other hand, to David. "You fought well, and you deserve better treatment than what they can offer down there. I've got some of the best medical equipment in the galaxy in here." "Besides, looking over the recent information, we've got work to do. The dragonballs have been stolen." Ultra-Dimension pressed a few more buttons on his pad, and loudspeakers on the outside of the ship activated. "Fighters below. My ship can reach Mach 8 in the upper atmosphere. Can this be of use in retrieving one of said trackers? If you've got coordinates, I can get us there quickly."

Maggatorr watched the fights and was wondering who was going to win the match, but then the announcer called for the fighters to hold. Maggatorr was curious to hear what was happening and that's when he heard the announcer say that the dragon balls were stolen. He wondered how he had not sensed anyone who were in the act of stealing the mystical balls, and tried to get some ideas of what to do. Well he decided that it would be best to lend a hand and see if these earthlings were as powerful as some said. He moved extremely quickly from the stands to the arena and looked at everyone. "I am willing to assist you all in your search to find the stolen dragon balls" he said to them in a calm and calculating voice. His mind contemplated if he should use the dragon balls for a wish to make himself more powerful, it would mean possibly fighting these fighters and right now it seemed getting a fight like that wouldn't help his cause too much especially if he didn't get the dragon balls.

**Nel Lilac - PL: 250/300** _No way,_ he murmured inside his head, the sullen thought receding and shrinking until it faded away. _The prize got stolen? So, wait... This means the fight has been taken out of the ring! Those Dragonballs are fair game for anyone, and everyone will be fighting for it._ His eyes lit up as he jolted up from his chair. “I'll get to test myself!” he shouted, his body recoiling and tensing from the excitement. He ran out of the rest area, uncaring of how anyone would feel about a non-contestant being back there. Leaping up onto the stage with practiced and nimble steps, he walked up to the other fights with a light chuckle to ease his intrusion. “Let's go after em. The Dragonballs are fair game now; wasn't the smartest idea to put wish granting marbles up for a prize,” he told the announcer, glancing off at him with kind eyes. He didn't know if it was the cloudless sky, the warm, gleaming sun, or just the unexpected tension arcing through the air but it all felt natural. It felt normal to be in this kind of situation. His blood was boiling, his veins was imprinted against his forearms, and his aura flowing outwards from him, prodding the debris and air away silently. Then just moments later it halted, his fist tightening again. _I'm not doing a good job of controlling myself._

Light was with the group of fighters near the ring, heading over there when she heard the dragon balls were stolen. "Well, thats wonderful. Guess the tournament is over til they are recovered. Oh well." Light said. Some members of the audiance seemed to rush over to the group and introduce themselves. One a sayan and the other an alien. Light waited a bit for people to introduce themselves, Light saying hi in return. When she thought no more people were coming, she asked. "So... How long are we going to wait before we go look for the dragon balls? They can't be that hard to find. After all, the tournament found them in the first place, right?" Light paused a moment and thought, twirling one of her head tentacles before she noticed the sky hadn't gone dark yet. "Well whoever stole them didn't turn the sky dark or anything like the legends say. So they're still on the run. The longer we sit here, the more distance they get."

"Since you're clearly planning on going after the thieves I'm willing to help, though I'm not fully recovered from our fight." David siad without any bitterness in his voice. That swing Ultra-Dimension used to disable his shoulder had done the most damage and he still had a bit of trouble moving his left arm, and just by looking at how he walked anyone could see his left ankle was still sore from that katana sweep.
