Alicia felt her phone vibrate inside of her pocket and quickly turned it on, and saw that it was her friend Kat asking about the freak eclipse the night before, while Gerard was standing there for a moment.

"Hey girl! Did you see the eclipse last night? Wild, right? I know you have that astronomy club thing... can I tag along if they're having a meeting today? I kinda wanna talk about it."

Alicia thought for several moments to think about what she saw what happened to Moon back in the girl's bathroom, she wasn't sure if she should tell her best friend or not for several moments before finally deciding to not tell her what exactly happened.

To Katalina Hargraves.
"Heya Kat! And yes I did see that freak eclipse early last night, i'll totally be there this afternoon some weird and freaky kind of stuff has been going on this morning. I'll tell you a bit later though, but I will totally see you this afternoon in the classroom. I'll see you then!" - Alicia <3 :)

"Oh, yeah, I'm willing to bet it was about that misplaced Solar Eclipse last night. The Astronomy club members are going to have some form of meeting about it, though I feel that not only Astronomy members are going to be present. You may as well come, seeing as you already say this phenomenon."

"Eh, screw it, I am not one for boredom. I May as well show you what I got, cause it seems that I got hit with em' too." Alicia froze for a moment when Gerard said that he had gotten some strange new ability as well like Moon had experienced back in the girls bathroom. Then she heard Gerard snap his fingers, just as she turned her head she was frozen in time her hair as she turned floated slightly when she turned it. Then when Gerard touched her arm she was now in the same pocket of frozen time like Gerard was. "What the hell is going on?" Alicia muttered to herself and quickly stood up, going over to the unconscious girl who was being treated by Ms. Konrad, both of them frozen like they were a block of ice. Alicia waved her hand in front of Ms. Konrad to see if there was any form of response which there was none. "You're like a living Hiro Nakamura!" Alicia sounded very intrigued, it sort of felt like they were actually in the show everyone getting abilities after the eclipse just like in the show.

Alicia quickly grabbed Gerard's hand and quickly led him out of the nurse's office and then turned to look over at him, by that time it was just a little past 8 seconds. "Alright you can restart time now." Alicia said, by the time Gerard turned time back to normal Alicia looked down at her phone no time had past since then and realized that first period was already almost over now. "I was actually gonna go skip class, I had plans after that. If you are going to the astrology meeting this afternoon i'll see you there." Alicia said as she quickly ran off to meet Jade at their meeting spot.

When Alicia was there she leaned herself up against the brick wall, looking around the area it was one of the blind spots from the security camera's which was their usual spot where Jade and Alicia would meet up if they felt like cutting classes. Alicia took out her IPhone to text Jade, she knew she was going to be chewed out by her mom after school but today she was willing to risk it just like any other time Jade and she skipped class.

"Heya Kat! And yes I did see that freak eclipse early last night, i'll totally be there this afternoon some weird and freaky kind of stuff has been going on this morning. Kata smiled as she looked over the reply from Alicia and texted back to Alicia. "Awesome. Can't wait to see you there pretty lady. <3 Kata" After she hit the send button she blushed a bit realizing how that sounded. She shook her head and got up and headed out of the classroom.

After a bit of inquiring, she reached the astronomy club room and looked around. She was the first to arrive, it had seemed. She didn't noticed that Jay was hiding under a table as she sat down at one of the tables, and then... promptly passed out.

Nina touched her fingers to her lips as Everett rode away and blushed. Her first kiss. And from Everett. And she had kissed him back! She giggled a bit as she turned around and patted Dags on the head. "Hey there boy, we should keep an eye on this campsite till Everett gets back, what do you say?" She walked back over to the fire and pulled out her phone. She felt a guilty feeling rise in her stomach as she looked at the background. It was a picture of Petyr, Nina, Jan and herself, from years ago. She sighed and opened the texting option in her phone.

"P- I am fine. Just not in classes b/c helping Everett out at the lodge. Will explain later. Pls don't be too mad. <3 N." She sent the first text off to her brother.

"T- I am gonna pop over tomorrow morning. I hope we can talk. I miss you Tess. Please don't keep shutting me out. I have loads to tell you!- <3 N." She sent the second text off to Tess and sighed. She missed her best friend and honestly, what had just happened was a moment worthy of talking to her. She knew Tess kept shoving her away, but Nina wasn't about to let Tess go that easily.

Nina put her phone away and looked at the fire and walked over to it. "I wonder..." She thrust her hand in and then pulled it out. A small ball of fire now sat 'in' the palm of her hands. She looked at it with interest, and flipped it over and over in her hands, passing it from one hand to another. "Cool, so it doesn't burn me. Awesome." She reached over and put the small ball of fire back into the larger campfire and sat down. Dags came over and sat next to her as they both waited for Everett to come back.

The next three periods went on without much commotion. Scout wandered the halls through the classes as she usually did; quiet, undetected, and watching. She was always watching, keeping her eyes on those who would even take a step too close, following their trail until they were eventually gone from sight. Scout’s staring habit was one she usually was in full control of, and due to this she has had no intention of fixing it. Sure, her eyes were huge, unwavering, and according to some ‘terrifying’, but without her little observations who would Scout be? Just another rebellious kid with an attitude problem. Her ever watchful self was just another part of her, and changing it would be like turning into another person.

Eventually, the final bell before lunch rang out and Scout’s English class filed out in a hefty stream with the small girl in the center. Her head was bowed down over her flip phone, and her eyes were scanning the screen slowly once more. The message sent by Jay was still rousing odd, confused thoughts in her mind, and though she had thought about skipping out on the Astronomy Club in favor of napping in the back lot the very idea of a floating Dutoit and teleporting Jay was too much to fathom.

Scout needed to see it to believe it, basically. And the Astronomy Club was offering her a chance to see at least one of these phenomenons in action. Scout glanced up away from the phone as the crowd in the hall began to simmer down to a mere few, and she quickly bypassed those who wandered slowly in front of her as she closed in on the science wing. Before she could turn into the new hall, however, her body slammed against a hard frame, and she glared up at the male standing in her way. Richard King stared down with surprisingly tired eyes, and he quickly forced forward a deviously wicked grin at the sight of the annoyed Scout. He backed away slowly before leaning down to be in direct eye contact with her, and while his usual smile was beaming brightly Scout couldn’t help but notice the beads of sweat that trailed down his face .

”Aaaaah man, Silvia, how ya doing? Where ya heading?” King leaned in close, as if he intentionally knew how to make the ever poker faced Scout uncomfortable, and as he uttered her name she felt a hot flash of rage build behind her eyes. King backed away quickly after the initial wave of anger, however, and then turned on his heels, waving his free hand dismissively at her, ”chill out, will ya? See you around, punk.” And then he was off, walking towards the place Scout had actually been excited to visit.

Damn.

Scout took a few moments to watch the slightly-shaky back of King, head tilting ever so slightly at his apparent change in stance, and then once he was a decent distance away she continued her stride. The halls were almost completely silent, save for the scurrying science teachers who had to rush out for a meeting, and as Scout followed KIng towards the Chemistry room she couldn’t help but feel as though she was being… Observed. Sensed, maybe?

”Quit following me, will ya? I get that I’m like, the hottest guy you know, but I’m not gonna give myself up to a stalker ya feel?” King’s voice was warbled slightly, as if something was overwhelming him. Scout narrowed her eyes slightly at both his complaint and oddly uncharacteristic tremble, and then said quickly back,

”I’m not following you, we’re merely heading to the same place. Get over yourself, Richard.” And then, as if to prove a point, she quickened her pace and passed King, entering the open classroom before he even had a chance to complain. As her eyes settled on the current situation, however, Scout had half a mind to simply turn and exit stage left. The scene before her eyes played out like this: Malcolm and Jay were currently sitting at opposite ends of the classroom, an awkward silence settling among them, and on a table laid a passed-out Katalina. King had frozen behind her, and though his expression was unseen by Scout’s thick hair she could assume he was just as confused as she was. Before she could fully turn to look at him, however, he pushed passed her, immediately turning to stand beside Malcolm and glance nervously around the room. Honestly, what was up with him? Scout soon allowed her eyes to connect with Jay’s and she half-smiled at her long-time friend before tilting her head in a questioning manner,

”So, Jay, uh, what’s up?”

Jade didn't look back. Not for where she was heading and not to see if the scene of death was gone. She didn't want to. She just had to keep on running until she was sure she was confident in her mind that that wouldn't be tied to her. In her mind, Jade couldn't be tied to that because, in the back of her mind, she was scared that she might be treated like her uncle has been in the past, which was nothing good.

Not even knowing where she was, Jade stopped purely for the fact that her back was giving out and she was nearly at the end of her stamina rope. As she stopped, she felt a buzz in her pocket. "That must be Alicia." Jade said, pulling out her phone.
Jade was right. It was Alicia. She had texted Jade to tell her that she was at the meeting place. She also made a mention to urge Jade to hurry up so that school security didn't catch Alicia.

Catching her breath, Jade looked around her and she saw she was near the school. She then started to text Alicia back.

"Yeah, I'm still down. I'll be there in a few."

To Alicia Smith

After Jade sent the text message, she pocketed her phone. She then took to waliking. It would only take her a few minutes to get there if she walked fast. She was exhausted and pretty much sapped of most of her reserve energy, but she kept on trekking. She had no choice but to do so. If there was one thing that Jade wanted to do right now, that would be seeing Alicia, especially after what happened to her with Connor and his men.

Within those few minutes, Jade had made it to the spot that she and Alicia had promised to meet at. "Hey, sorry I'm late," Jade breathily said. It would be obvious to Alicia that Jade looked worse for wear.
As Alicia stood there she had her phone still out in her hand, she was still trying to wrap her mind around what happened in the girl's bathroom. Then she saw a reply from Jade and smiled gladly that she was still up for hanging out. A few minutes later, Alicia could see Jade. She, however, wasn't expecting to see her all beat up and bloodied.

"Jade, what the hell happened to you?!" Alicia quickly ran over towards Jade, seeing blood on her clothes and some on her lips trying to get a better look. "Should I take you to the nurse?" She looked at her friend with a concerned look in her eyes.
"NO!" Jade snapped at Alicia, instantly refeusing to go to the nurse's office.
Alicia was taken back slightly when Jade snapped at her, she nodded slowly looking around the football field wasnt to far off. "Do you need to sit down, what can I do, who did this to you?" Alicia offered her hand to Jade.

Jade realzied how much of a bitch she must've sounded like when she snapped at Alicia. "I'll sit once we're off the school grounds," Jade, sounding more pleasant than before, politely declined Alicia's offer to sit. Even if she wanted to — and a part of her really did want to rest her ass — the fact was that she couldn't right now. If she did, then she might not get up.

Alicia nodded towards Jade. "Did you want to go to my place or something then?" It was the only place off campus she knew where it would be private, and both of her parents wouldnt be home until late afternoon or early evening after school.
"Your place? Isn't Tony still around? Or am I mistaken?" Jade asked Alicia, a bit confused about her suggestion.
"My brother? He wont be back until like Thanksgiving break he is in college remember? We would just have to be out of the house before my mom comes back from school which isnt until like four-thirty. And we would have my place to ourselves." Alicia answered.

"Oh yeah. I guess it must've slipped my mind." Jade was lying. She did forget, the little fibber, "fine, let's go to your place then." Jade said, gesturing Alicia to lead the way.
"Heh, it's all good Jade; you will see him on break, that is if you are gonna hang out and party with him or something." Alicia said jokingly as she started to lead the way back towards her house, which was on the other side of town and was about a ten to fifteen minute walk on foot.

Jade looked at Alicia. "Why? Did he say something about wanting to get with me? I mean, your bro is super hot, so why wouldn't he want to?" Jade said, laughing; although, she was also serious.
Once they were back at her house, Alicia dug into her pockets and pulled out her house keys, dangling from them was a Zelda keychain. Alicia quickly unlocked the door and motioned Jade to go in first. "What do you want to do?" Alicia asked as she walked in and closed the door and locked it.

As they walked into ALicia's home, Jade smiled and whistled at how glamorous it was. Sure, it might not be some richy-rich celeb glam, but it still wowed Jade. Well, at least compared to her house it was.
"You got any food? I could go for something fatty. All I had this morning was some coffee — three cups in fact — and I'm fucking starving." Jade commented, heading towards the kitchen, "you know how fast I can devour coffee." Jade said, laughing.

Yeah you are a coffee addict and you need to go to rehab." Alicia said with a laugh as she took off her shoes setting them by the front door and looked at her phone, it was around eight now. "But yeah we have a lot of food here, help yourself to whatever you want, I'm a bit hungry myself anyway."
"Yeah, among other things," Jade laughed. The lifestyle that Jade lived, she would probably need rehab at some point in the near future. However, this day was not that day.
Alicia started to walk into the kitchen and opened the fridge, inside there were a lot of left overs over the weekend and from last night. "What would you like?" Alicia asked turning to look over at her friend.

"If you got steak, I'll take that. If not, then whatever is fine." Jade yelled to Alicia from the kitchen table. The chair she was sitting in might not have been the most comfortable(most chairs weren't). However, given the morning that she had, Jade was willing to sit on anything as long as she didn't have to stand. Added to that, her back was killing her.

"We do have steak." Alicia yelled back as she grabbed the container that held four seasoned steaks inside. She grabbed two of them and set them down onto a plate and gently sets the plate into the microwave, putting it in for one minute. She grabbed two forks and two knives, by the time it finished cooking.
Alicia then grabbed a second plate for herself setting it onto its own plate and headed into the kitchen setting the plate down in front of Jade. "Anything to drink? And no you cant have any of my parents booze." Alicia said jokingly.

"Your parents have weak booze, anyways." Jade pouted slightly. She didn't like that she couldn't have booze, but then she remembered looking at Alicia's parent's supply of alcohol and remembered that they were pretty weak compared to the shit that she's had from...friends. "I'll just have some water," Jade said, "Oh and throw some lime juice in it, if you got it." Jade said, telling Alicia what she wanted to drink.

Alicia smiled slightly and shook her head, they mainly just had wine and beer other then that. "Sure thing Princess Jade." Alicia said gently patting her friend on the shoulder and headed back into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water and a small container of lime juice and squirted some into it. Alicia grabbed a can of Vanilla Coke for herself and headed back into the dining room sitting next to Jade.

"Princess Jade huh? You know, no one has ever called me that, not even when I would be...doing things for people," Jade said, laughing. "I like it." She said, approving of the name.
As Alicia sat with her at the table, Jade not only smelt the steaks, but she saw the vanilla coke. "You know soda is bad for you, right? Not that I have any room to talk about putting stuff into my body that's bad for me, but still." Jade spoke freely as she always does.

"Well then i'll give you that nickname." Alicia said with a smile as she cracked open the can setting it down in front of her, she started to cut her steak into cubes and started to eat it turning to look at Jade. "Meh if I eat and drink thing I like then I will die happy, besides its not illegal."
Jade then lost it as she heard Alicia, "unlike the things I do, right?" More laughs came from her mouth as she started to cut up her steak and eat a few pieces.

The can of coke slowly then started to move forward on its own moving closer until it was in her hand she froze for a moment and looked at the can and then over towards Jade.
As Jade saw that can move, her mouth was frozen and the chewed up steak fell down back to her plate. "Alicia..what was that? What you did just now? What. The. Actual. Fuck." Jade was speechless.

Alicia froze as well, she was just as speechless as well and quickly pushed the can away but then it came right back into her hand again, it happened earlier that morning as well with her mothers car. It was just like Moon in the girls bathroom, and Gerard back at the nurses office. "How the hell should I even know, this has never happened before."
"You might think im high or something. But some weird shit has been going on since last night, you know my friend Moon right? I found her glowing and floating, and Gerard freaken froze time.." Alicia said setting the can back away from her again this time it didnt move again.

Damn, mystic chick and that lamo, Gerard too?" Jade was a bit dumpfounded.
She had to admit that this was much more than simply a coincidence. First Alicia pushed that can, then she says that spirtual hippie Moon can fly with some kind of glowing aura, and then, of all people, Gerard can freeze time? Shit was getting cray-cray, that's for sure.

"Alicia, I need to show you something." Jade said, setting down her knife and fork on the plate, the metal clinging. "But, not here." she said, standing up. "Let's go to your backyard." Jade said as she started to go towards the backyard entrence. As she did so, JAde was limping slightly and her right hand holding her lower back.

"Uhm alright then." Alicia said sighing slightly, she felt relived that she wasnt crazy and stood up and noticed Jade limping slightly and holding her back and offered a hand to help Jade if she needed it. Alicia then opened the back door to her backyard which was fenced off, there was an old childrens swing set and some swings that looked like they havent been used in years.

With the aid of Alicia's help, Jade was able to walk better, if only just slightly.
When they got outside, Jade instantly felt the rush of the breeze hit her as her hair was blown behind her lightly.
Alicia shivered slightly when she felt the cool air brushing against her, she looked at Jade and nodded towards her friend. "Alright." Alicia said as she stood there for a moment tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

Jade stepped foward onto the grass. "Okay, so I don't know how to exactly do this, so just bare with me okay?" Jade said, turning around to face Alicia.
Jade took in a deep breath, hoping it would help her. The last time she did it — well, she wasn't awake for it. So, technically the last time she did it was also the first time and that was just some other kind of shit. Then, as she stomped her foot on the ground, Jade was hoping it would happen, but it didn't. Nothing did, actually.

"What the fuck?" Jade exclaimed angrily. "Why isn't it happening?" She repeated the same overall sentiment of anger and disappointment.
She started to think that Jade had something happen to her as well, she stood there patiently and watched Jade stomping her foot into the
ground. Maybe it had happened through some kind of stress? "I believe you Jade, what happened last time when this started?"

"Uh," Jade briefly said, trying to recall what exactly happened last time. "I don't know. I mean, I know I was pretty damn annoyed at my Uncle Charlie giving me that lecture, and before I knew it, the ground was shaking and every car within my neighborhood had their alarms set off," Jade told Alicia. "This is so fucking frustrating!" Jade said agrily, her nostrils flaring and her voice high.
Jade stomped on the ground mildly and suddenly the ground started to shake. It was like a light vibration going through the ground beneath them. It wasn't enough to cause any real damage or even to be felt from a far distance.

And then it stopped."You felt that right? It's not just me." Jade seemed excited that it worked.
Alicia looked at the ground as she felt it rumble as well, turning to look at Jade and nodded at her slowly. "Yep I did actually feel that." Alicia finally said she then quickly remembered the astrology club meeting, looking over at Jade.

"I know you probably think its lame, but maybe you should come to the astrology club meeting around lunch? I dunno if its something you want to do, but I know Moon, Jay and Gerard are going to be going there as well." Alicia suggested.
"You're right, I do think it's lame." Jade said bluntly, "But I guess you do have a point. We suddenly have these superpowers — or whatever you want to call them — and from what? A solar eclipse?" Jade said, laughing, "I didn't know that the concept of Heroes floated over into real life." Jade sighed, "fine, I'll pop by. It's not like I have anything better to do." She sighed again, giving Alicia a nod that she'll be there.

The pressure to his head, was an unwelcomed feeling. It was like needles and a heavy stone combined both hitting his brain in synchronization. Damn this sucks.
"What the hell is going on?" Alicia asked in stupor. She curiously got infront of the Nurse, Ms. Konrad and the patient and waved her hands infront of them.
"You're like a living Hiro Nakamura!" she continued, in surprise."That hero show, right." Gerard relied slowly and steadily.

After the eight seconds had passed, she asked him to 'restart' time. "It's more like stopping then continuing it, but yeah sure." he replied, snapping his fingers in accordance. She muttered something about ditching class and seeing him at the astronomy club to which Gerard waved his hand off on, and then she was gone. His nose started bleeding rather heavily. Briskly walking towards Ms. Konrad, he tapped her on the back. She looked back with a 'what' face, which then transformed into a shrief and scared face.

"Don't ever do that Gerard!" Ms Konrad said, giving him some tissues and ice, "What made you bleed this hard? The girl too heavy for you?" she continued, a smirk forming on her face.
"Very funny Ms Konrad." he said muffled by the tissues and then with a nonchalant shrug, he continued "I don't know why I started bleeding this hard."

The nurse had forced Gerard to stay in the office for a while, much to his chagrin. Apparently his nose was bleeding a bit too hard, and if it didn't stop soon he might have to go to a hospital. "Miss that's boring, don't make me do that." he said with a grimace, "I am fine, I swear!"

The bleeding could have gone away, if Gerard did not move around too much because of his boredom and restlessness. The nosebleeding subsided a little bit, and with a quick "Ms. Konrad look it stopped!" he resounded, waking the unconscious girl up who now was staring at him with some fleeting look of endearment or resentment?
Line between love and hatred stretches thin.

With that, it was about time for lunch, meaning that it was time to go to the Astronomy club. Some of the antagonistic 'friends' might be there. His nose still lightly bleeding, "Won't this damned thing go away." he whispered silently to himself. All of a sudden, he needed to sneeze. He quickly ran up against the trashcan and lightly sneezed. Blood somewhat spewing on the tissue. Someone must be talking ill of him somewhere, "Probably Jade or King." he said outloud, digging up another tissue from his pocket.

Finally arriving at the Astronomy club, cheese bread and coffee in hand, the animosity in the club surprised him, well, not really. Jay, Scout, Malcolm and King we're already there, the most infamous quartet who cannot get along. "Boo why are you all silent" he asked the group outloud, he stopped infront of King, put his coffee on a table and did a mock curtsy, bread hanging in his mouth as he stretched his hands outwards. "Sir King." he said, his voice lowered in pitch in hopes he gets the sarcasm.

After grabbing his coffee, he then sat a few chairs next to Jay, waved at him and Scout. "What's up, why is this room so boringly silent?"
"Oh, and Scout, was I there for Home Economics?" he asked inquisitively.

"I never understood how much of a connection I had with the Moon. Ironic."

Moon remained frozen in deep thought, but nodded to the blonde(Olivia) once she confirmed that she wouldn't speak of the event that just transpired. The last thing Moon wanted was for them to become lab rats. She had certainly watched Heroes, and the situation they were in was eerily similar, if not exactly alike. Moon couldn't even bring up a smile when Alice jested about not having a superpower.

"Hmmm...", Moon began, "It seems grand and jubilant now Alice, but what if I had started flowing away outside? I mean honestly---I dare to imagine what would of happened if I all of sudden stopped floating". It would seem like a rather ominous outlook from the mystic herself, but from what she read in her book and under the circumstances(lack of control), she worried about the harmful possibilities these abilities could have on them. And rightly so. These weren't special toys to be played with freely and without care, no matter how tempted she might have been. And despite how deeply enthralled she was with the prospect of uninhibited magically induced special abilities, her maternal sensibility had much more pressing concerns than joyfully flying through the atmosphere.

"Oh, and hun...", but it was too late. The blonde had already left before Moon could advise her to attend the astronomy club meeting since she witnessed what happened. Moon sighed as if suddenly weighed down by a massive burden, and rubbed her temples as the bell began to ring.
Jay remained on the floor during the discussion it seemed, like a saucy limp noodle, a bright red shamelessly overwhelming his cheeks. Moon smiled slightly, very slightly, because to be honest, his reaction was so awkward and cute yet she found herself feeling somewhat tired all of a sudden. But when Moon just barely caught eye of him suddenly vanishing off the floor, she was owl-eyed in an instant.

It was like a 'don't blink or you'll miss it' kind of thing. Moon wasn't sure Alice saw him disappear as well. "So it is true...", she murmured curiously. His sudden act was all the confirmation she needed. She quickly pulled out her phone and texted him.

To: Jay

Fascinating! You actually teleported. It was so fast I barely saw it. Just.....be very careful okay love? We don't know the extent or limitations of what we can do. You could accidentally end up in a wall or something. Please don't overdo it okay? I'll see you in astronomy club.

Moon rolled her eyes with countenance of distaste, seemingly displeased with the formatting of her teen-aged hormonal driven slop-fest of a text. But in any account, she looked back to Alice as she pocketed her phone. At that moment, several oblivious female students came into the bathroom--one went into a stall, while the other three remained at the counter next to them, heavy-handedly reapplying their dark shaded makeup and gossiping about which students they would 'kill, fuck, or marry'. King, Petyr, and surprisingly, Jade were named, the latter being unanimously voted as 'kill'.

"That slut. Please....", the supposed leader of three mumbled with jealous angst. The shortest one, with a piggishly plump, but friendlier face seemed to have different taste. "I like Malcom. I think he's so cute", she squealed dreamily. The tallest one who called Jade a slut snarled as she applied on her third coating of dark violet and licorice lipstick. "Hardly. And he's always with King. I bet he's gay.", she stated blandly. The piggy one furrowed. "No he's not. He just doesn't have many friends", she defended him. The third one with the low hanging ponytail plopped herself onto the counter and struck a pose in the mirror behind her. "I always thought he was kinda....asexual", she professed with a wink to herself. The piggy one turned red while the leader simply shrugged disinterestedly, pursing her lips as if she wanted to snog her own reflection.

Moon moved away from them quickly, grabbing Alice by the hand and dragging her into the corner near the bathroom exit door. "You're right though...", she whispered. "There is nothing we can do for now except go to class like normal and wait till the astronomy club. I just hope nothing else outrageous happens. I'm feeling a strange mystical energy, like, it's really hard to explain, but its not good".
She took a deep breath and heaved her messenger bag to her other shoulder. "Anyways, see you at astronomy club my dear Snow White. Be careful". And with a bemused smile and a kiss on each cheek, she was gone.

As patient as ever, Moon went to her following classes as usual, trying her hardest to dislodge the image of floating in the girl's lavatory from her consciousness. To the jest of her peers, one of her teachers actually threw a piece of chalk at her for looking 'disrespectfully spacey' when he called on her to answer one of the questions on the chalkboard. In all honestly, she hadn't heard him. But how could one simply ignore such an incredibly impossible(well, possible) occurrence? Even she didn't have the mental fortitude to focus on her classwork at hand.

When the time came around to go to Astronomy Club, she apologized to her teacher and quietly left---and then after several minutes of this so called "spacey" walking, she arrived at the science room where the club was held. She peered in, seeing everyone who had arrived so far. Two people she wasn't too familiar with(Ashton and Katalina respectively) were there. She greeted King with an affectionately warming smile and a slight wave to Malcolm as she made her way to Jay and Scout, sitting behind the latter(and tapping her shoulder softly and smiling at her gently). Gerard was there too. "So this is where you ended up...", she had whispered to Jay as she had passed him before she sat down. But once she was seated, she pulled out some paper, a peacock feather adorned quill, and began writing---writing in cursive...and in great detail.

It was time for her to start accounting for everything that occurred to them, for better or for worse---and for later reference should something happen...spirits forbid.

Yet again Austin stormed out of his house, slamming the door behind him before it was promptly opened by a sneering 20-year-old, hurling insults and the sort at him.

"Fuck off!"

The British teen huffed, pulling out his phone and flicking through the contacts. Gerard. There's one he hadn't talked to in a while. He clicked on the name, typing away.

To: Gerard
Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! My bro's bein' an ass, and I need someone to talk to, so yeah :/

Gerard's phone vibrated in his pocket while chewing down on his cheese bun. He raised a peculiar eyebrow, not many texted him. "Aren't I the unpopular one?" he asked himself in his thoughts. "Well whatever." he continued with a shrug and took out his phone.

"Oh, this doof." He groaned.

To: Austin
Sorry, what, are you still heading to school when it’s already lunch time?

Yeah, last night’s shipment of Pot Noodles had all my favourite flavours, but the Chow Mein didn’t agree with me. So yeah, I guess I am :P #Rebel

Austin shoved a freshly acquired sandwich in his mouth, wiping the crumbs off the screen.

Gerard looked up at the tense, surrounding the room. He rolled his eyes, "Boo no tension." he said outloud, slowly sipping his coffee. He looked down at his vibrating phone again, typing away.

To: Austin
Alright man, bad case of em huh. Well, there's been some weird stuff going on this morning. Also, drop the rebel thing, it's weird, everyone wants to be one.

A snicker escaped Austin's lips, causing more crumbs to go flying. He shoved the rest of the sandwich in his mouth, using his now-free hand to frantically swat them away.

To: Gerard
Fiiiiiiiiiiiine, I will. Also, what weird stuff? Because I don't remember the word "weird" being associated with Verona. Boring? Yeah. Weird? No. Nothing weird ever happens.

Gerard was about halfway through his strenuous battle with the deliciously damned cheese bread. He typed another reply.

Can't talk about it on phone, I don't trust these open systems, I'll tell you about it at Astronomy Club. Seems like we’re having a pseudo party of sorts cause of that Solar Eclipse last night. Oh did you catch it last night?

To: Gerard
Right, Astronomy Club - got it. And yeah, I did. Caught it halfway through a Chicken & Mushroom flavoured Pot Noodle. I think that's when the rebound started to happen with my Chow Mein...

He gave a satisfied 'Huzzah!' as the sandwich was finally defeated, hitting send before wiping the remnants of the watery cucumber, seeded bread and ham from his lips. He turned a corner, just avoiding some ignorant twat with a dog as he did so.

"Oi! Fucking watch it, you prick!"

Austin looked down at his screen again.

With the school now coming into view, Austin decided it was time to have some fun. He looked around, before spotting a car coming up the road towards the school. Let's see if I'm Barry Allen yet. he thought with a grin. Sticking his phone in his pocket and pulling up the zipper, he adjusted his backback (putting both straps on both shoulders) and started running as fast as he could. Apparently, that was too fast.

The world became a blur, and within seconds he was far past the car and somewhere down the drive. With no idea how to stop what was going on, he turned around, heading back up and trying to time when to turn again to get into the school. A mix of panic and pure awe came over him, and he felt adrenaline pumping through his veins. He eventually managed to make out brief glimpses of the landscape, making his way through the doors and down corridors, until he burst through the door of the Astronomy Club. The- well, whatever it was- finally stopped, and he stood in the doorway, his mouth wide open. And the only conclusion he could come to was the most impractical, stupid conclusion - he was the Flash.

"Guys... there's something weird going on."

With the restroom incident over, and the last period before lunch just about over as well, with only a couple of minutes left until it was over, Olivia prepared to leave. She had to go to the Astronomy club, there was supposedly a meeting for the strange and mysterious events that had been happening since the solar eclipse last night. She had saw the emergency meeting posted on Twitter this morning, and already made plans to go before the restroom thing happened. She checked her phone for any new messages and found none. Not surprising, considering the fact that she didn't had many close friends. The girl sighed as her stomached grumbled slightly. She wanted to eat, but the meeting was happening now. Her curiosity won over her hunger, but she managed to come to a compromise. She would make a detour to the cafeteria to grab a bacon and cheese sandwich, eating it delightfully along the way while she made her way to the Astronomy club.

While she was on the way there, she happened to see the back of Scout, and was about to call out to her, when King showed up out of nowhere. She placed down her hand and stifled her call, watching the exchange between the two. Olivia took the time to get a few bites of her sandwich down before looking up once more. The exchange was over, and the both of them were gone. She resumed her journey towards the club. She finally reached the room that was designated as the Astronomy club.

Entering it, she noticed that there was already a large amount of people in the room. Emergency meeting indeed, almost everyone was present. Olivia sat on an empty seat beside Gerard with the half-eaten sandwich in her hand. She gave a quick wave and a 'Hey', as she looked at his half-eaten cheese bun and coffee in hand before turning her attention towards the rest of the people in the room. Some she was familiar with, some not. That matters not. The floating girl, Moon was there. They were all here for the same purpose, to figure out about the strange happenings since the solar eclipse. The start of all things mysterious.

Olivia gave a sigh, perplexed and somewhat tired from the combination of the happenings as well as from the lack of sleep the night before. Unfortunately, what happened next only would exacerbate matters further. Her simple sigh, that usually would have been nothing but a small exhale of air turned into something else all together. It was as if a gust of wind just surged through the room, blowing everything into disarray.

Both her half-eaten sandwich and Gerard's cheese bun flew across the room propelled by the mysterious wind that seemed to had appeared from nowhere. His coffee was not spared either, as the cup toppled on the table, spilling its liquid contents on the table that slowly made its way to the floor, staining it. Olivia was shocked. She exclaimed in surprise. "Was that me? Did I do that?" Shifting her gaze around, stunned by the sudden occurrence, she noticed that her hand was now empty. Her eyes widened in surprise "Oops. There goes my lunch... I'm so sorry about your coffee Gerard. I've no idea what just happened."

It had taken almost a full hour for Everett to find that damn horse. He wanted to be mad, he wanted to be pissed off but he just... wasn't. Was that sun light that felt oh so good? Or was it Nina? Maybe the deadly combination of both. His mind wouldn't do right. Nina this, Nina that,he couldn't focus on his hunt. It was getting to be a pain the ball sack.

After collecting the horse Everett made his way to favorite hunting spot. He shared it with no one, he knew that elk and deer would pass through there. That wasn't in question. The only real question was how long was it gonna take. After tying off the horses Everett crawled on his stomach till he got to his post. He had to crawl just over fifty yards to get in place. It was a bit extreme but he wanted make sure that nothing he did would get in the way of bagging this elk. He kept telling himself over and over, not to get into a hurry. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

He waited calmly behind the scope of his rifle and waited for an elk to come by. It took longer than it should have for the right elk to come by. As time went on the perfect elk came by Everett started a singing a little song. He started to sing a little song.

I'm gonna bust some caps
Only got twenty rounds in my pocket
I'm lookin, hunt for an elk

Everett, for all his skill pulled the trigger. It was a huge mistake that he didn't even know he made. Sending the round flying out of the barrel, along with it an ear shattering explosion.

He watched the round fly towards the elk and hit the animal right in the heart. It was for most all people a perfect hit. However for Everett it was less than that. The adrenal in the animal was gonna dump and it was going to run for at least a hundred yards before falling to its death. There was nothing wrong with what he had done, the problem was time. He had already lost an a hour and half on horse and the events surrounding it.

He hung his when he saw what he he had done."Fuck.... G-d damn girl on my mind. Better than my parents at least." He patted the ground a few times before getting to his feet. He was frustrated, and not focused.

Evrett simply gathered his horses and rode out to gather his kill. He did so as quickly as he could. The first of many tasks needed was to tie the elk by the neck. A simple slip knot was the quickest and on the horse he was. With their help the elk was dragged and hung on a tree branch. This is where the fun part begins. Everett looked at it for a second before taking of his shirt and got ready for the really dirty part.

The elk was hanging by head, starting form the anus to the sternum Everett made an cut. as the elk hung there Everett tied off the rear legs, holding them open. The first thing to do was to remove the anus where all the blood could drain out. While he was waiting on that, with the help of saw he took of the hoofs on the the animal.

After making a few cuts, careful not to puncture any organs. Everett started the cutting the skin back. When all the organs fell to the ground he couldn't help laugh mostly due to the fact he had just been hit with over a hundreds pounds of warm guts. Heart, liver, lungs, stomach. Every organ in the elks body came crashing down on him.

The whole of his front was covered in blood. Whiping the blood off his face using his shoulders he paused for a moment to collect himself. If the blood wasn't bad enough there was the smell to contend with. Bile, shit piss, blood, and sage all wafting in the air. He was happy that Nina wasn't there to see or smell. She, like many others would have puked their guts out. Making a dirty job all the more harder.

"Everett, come on man. Get your shit together. You're stand in a hot mess, a quagmire of piss, shit and blood. Head in the fucking game dude." Everett said to the now empty chest cavity like it was he himself he was talking to. With a heavy sigh went back to work.

Using a special skinning technique his father taught him on a drunken whim. Everett cut the neck open and skinned it down just enough for a good size stone to fit in it. Again with another slip knot Everett tied the skin around the stone. The other end was for the saddle horn. As the horse walked away from the dead body of the elk. It pulled the skin right off it. Watching the skin of an animal being pulled off was rather unnerving. Watching skin being pulled away from muscle revealing the far and editable flesh was a sight to see.

Aunt Lou was gonna be able to do something with the skin. Though Everett was never sure what. Maybe a coat or something. He placed it in a game bag and tied to the saddle horn of the nearest horse.

It was long before that elk was bleed, gutted, and skinned. All that was left was getting the meat. With the help of his sharpest knife e Everett made cuts along the back. The backstrap was first, then the tenderloin. Both sat on top of the ribcage. Both where heavy on their own right. These two cuts alone would make this trip worth while.

Next where the legs. First the shoulders, for this Everett cut all the meat around the bone. When it came to remove the shoulder from body, Everett used his considerable strength to rip the bones away from each other. The sounds of bone breaking was just a tad bit bothersome. He did much the same with the legs. Each set of limbs in its own game bag.

All that was left was the rib meat. By far the easiest of all to get off. He gave thought for a moment that he should take the rib cage for Dags. Yet he decided against the idea. Thinking if the weight in the horse was starting to get little too high for comfort. Sure each and every horse they had was used to it but there was no use to tax the animal if he didn't have too. He did note that one of the sides was bruised badly. Odds on favorites was the bullet causing it. Normally he'd leave the meat got the Bears and the bobcats but he knew but he knew Dags would live it just a much.

The last thing he needed to do was bury the remaining guts. Soon he would be shed of that stench. He only wished he had brought a bigger shovel. After the hole was dug deep enough. Everett sorted through the organs looking for where the bullet had hit. With organ he picked up and inspected he tossed it in the hole. Much to his own disappointment he found the kill shot was in the lungs. Explaining how the elk had been able to run away. When he was done he covered up the organs.

Everett was covered in blood and sweat. His boots were almost completely soaked in blood and Lord only knows what else. He knew the smell how had to be horrid. As he gathered all his things and cut the remains of the elk down. There wasn't much left on the animal save the rib cage and unmolested head. He gave thought to taken the head. But he was willing to bet money that Nina would find that more than a little off putting.

Everett mounted his horse road back to his campsite. Seeing as none of the meat had been deboned it was safe to say that the spare horse was carrying over three hundred pounds of raw meat secured to its back. Nina was gonna have to ride with him back. He kindasortanotreally felt bad about it. He pushed that from mind as he the horse carried to him to his destination. Another little song came into his mind as he stood up in the saddle. From his backpack he pulled a cigarette out and lite it.

He started singing his song and enjoying the smoke after a good kill. He wouldn't be long for the campsite. All he could now was enjoy the ride.

Tessa was used to sympathetic looks and general avoidance, mostly because she had encouraged it the last couple of years. Today it was as if she were invisible. And that was wonderful. Whenever a teacher went to call on a student, their eyes slid right over Tessa, a sweet answer to her prayer. It wasn't that she was marked absent or anything, when her name was called for roll she said here and the teacher nodded at her a moved on. It was only when Tessa sank down into her chair and hoped to not be noticed for the complicated history question about Waterloo, how was she supposed to remember 1815? This was the best day ever.

She had a text from Jay letting her know there was a meeting for astronomy club. She was not surprised. After the eclipse yesterday there had to be a meeting. If they had known there was supposed to be an eclipse they would have had a meeting to watch it. That would have been cool.

There was also a text from Nina. Tessa could feel her eyes burn a bit as she read the message. God she hated that. Everything that Janice had touched burned with her memory. Nina was just too much. That was without the jealousy that Tessa harbored for Nina and Petyr, they still had each other. Not that she would ever want something to happen to either one of them, but how could they understand.

After a moment's deliberation she sent back "I won't be home." She was already planing on hiding out somewhere all day, probably even avoiding school if she could tomorrow. The idea of dealing with people tomorrow made Tessa's stomach cramp.

For now though she had Astronomy club with the others. This was going to be interesting. She entered the normal classroom and saw that there a few non regulars in the room, as well as a total mess of papers and coffee. Whatever she had just missed must have been interesting. Jay must have rustled up everyone he could think to have come here. She gave a smile and nod to those she was friendly with, Scout, Kat and Gerard.

Tessa turned to Jay, "I'm glad we're having this meeting. The eclipse was weird." Tessa rubbed the back of her neck it was still throbbing from the headache, another reason she was happy the teachers had ignored her all day. "Also I think the teachers finally realized how much I really just don't want to be bothered this week, not a single one of them called on me, it was glorious."

After spending the last several hours hanging out with Jade back at her house, she looked down at her phone to see what time it was and saw that it was almost lunch time. Alicia told Jade that she would meet her at the classroom, she made her way back towards school the crazy morning was till on her mind.

"Awesome. Can't wait to see you there pretty lady. <3 Kata"

Alicia couldnt help but blush slightly from Kat's last text, and quickly slipped her phone back into her pocket. As she got closer towards the school Alicia snuck through the back of the school, already the halls were filled with other students going to either lunch or classes depending on where they were going to go.

The meeting was always in the science room, when she opened she saw some of her friends as well as those who she didn't hang out much or interacted with, she noticed a lot of papers and other things have been thrown around the room. "Did you guys throw a party in here and didn't invite me?" Alicia asked and then looked over towards Moon and smiled at her and quickly went to give Moon a hug, she was glad to see that her friend wasn't hurt. "How are you feeling?" Alicia asked and spotted Kat sleeping there like a cute little puppy, she quietly snuck up behind Katalina and wrapped her arms around Kat and squeezed her friend's boobs playfully to wake her up. [colr=cyan]"Wakey wakey Kat!"[/color] Alicia said with a giggle and went over to sit down next to Kat.

She looked over at Jay for a moment. "Oh uhm just so you know Jay I invited Jade to the meeting a well if that's alright with you." Alicia said she knew of their past relationship and wasnt sure if things did become awkward or not. As she leaned forward seeing Mal was there as well and smiled towards him as well as Tessa, Olivia and looked to notice Austin just wizzing into the room as well. "Yeah I think some really weird stuff has been happening all morning Austin."

"Sir King."

Sarcasm literally dripped from Gerard's voice and body as he bowed down slightly in front of King, and it took all the self-control in his body to refrain from punching the kid in the face. Gerard moved on after his smart-ass greeting to speak to Scout, mentioning something about Home Ec., and with a sudden dose of confusion and curiosity curling around her body Scout shook her head and whispered a small ’no’. Once bored with those two,, King turned to grin tightly at those who entered the room next before pulling up a chair and plopping down next to Malcolm. His arms crossed lazily, and his head lolled to and fro before settling to glare in Jay’s general direction. The tension in the room was suffocating, basically, and though Jay seemed to be ignoring him orally King could feel the awkward hate among the varying emotions of curiosity and… Yearning? His gaze quickly shifted to where Jay’s eyes were focused, and a sly smile met his lips as Moon gave him a warm smile. As she walked by a feeling of patience filled his chest, and he let out a soft sigh of relief before the tension returned to the room.

Scout turned slightly as Moon took a seat behind her, a half-smile tilting her lips awkwardly, and King snorted at her attempt of friendliness before his gaze shifted to the rest who entered the room. Olivia entered the room with a gust of wind, and as she walked in to settle somewhere King found that her emotions were more like a wind storm then Mal’s were. Looking at other students, he noticed that many of them seemed to have varying ways of revealing their inner selves. Ashton’s emotions felt like a thunder storm, rolling around him like dark clouds despite him seeming to be as relaxed as ever. Tessa Gray, who had entered a few moments after the ever excited Austin, seemed to have slightly transparent colors, as if they were half-hidden visually, and Alice’s emotions bloomed around her like flowers, forming pretty shapes and gardens among her small body. King’s face shifted between expressions painfully as all these different feelings infected him, stained him, and eventually he just placed his head onto the desk and groaned in pain.

As soon as the room was almost full of students, Jay took to the front, chalking something up on the board while talking about his experience. King attempted to listen, lifting his head slightly to view the drawing on the board, and then with a heavy sigh he lifted his head and winced against the colors. Jay had asked if anyone else was currently experiencing anything odd, and with slight hesitation KIng lifted his hand high. Thinking briefly on how to explain his current experience, King found a name for the phenomena he felt was lost to the wind (perhaps literally).

”Though I’m not sure if a stupid eclipse can cause this weird shit to happen… I gotta say that something’s been weird since this morning.” He stumbled over his words slightly, rubbing his temple as the colors around his continued to vibrantly pump into his skull, ”I guess I can… Feel? See? What everyone else can feel, like, emotions? I can see all these colors and I feel like I’m going crazy cause they’re… Affecting me? I can’t think of a word, is there a word? What the fuck is going on?” By the end of his spiel King was shaking, perhaps terrified of the unknown power that was currently filling his brain with a mix of curiosity and fear and hate and love and whatever else happened to come from those around him. Suddenly, however, a bright blue color shown among the others, and his gaze lifted to see Scout. Her emotions were thick and orderly, sitting in front of her like a shield, and as she leaned forward an inquisitive and knowledgeable light gleamed in her eyes.

”Empathy.” She concluded, her blue eyes wide and seemingly all-knowing, ”the ability to feel and understand the emotions of others.” Well, what else was King supposed to expect from a human dictionary after all. He grimaced at her slightly, though his upturned eyebrows gave away his relief at giving his new found ability a name. She pursed her lips after a moment, and then leaned back in her chair to stare at Jay. ”Can’t exactly prove he has that, though, unless we test it somehow. He’s probably just saying he has some kind of power for attention.” King narrowed his eyes in anger, shaking as the feeling of disbelief coming from her settled in his mind. He met her eyes, rage burning within his gut, and then he turned to Malcolm,

”leave it to Silvia Presley to be a rude-ass during such an important meeting, huh?” He half whispered, though it was obvious he wanted the others to hear his complaint. Sout herself seemed to prickle a bit, her usual poker face contorting into an angry sneer. King relished in the feeling of anger he suddenly felt, but once the overwhelming need to start a fight began pushing at his fists he pouted and focused in on trying to ignore all of the outsider influence around him. Though King was pretty sure this all wasn’t just in his head, he faltered slightly at the idea of him just simply going crazy. The idea of an eclipse that can give powers was pretty stupid, and while he wasn’t the best in science King could easily assume that whatever was happening within this classroom was unnatural, and not directly caused by a goddamn shifting moon in the sky. Everything that was happening today was too much for the now emotionally-distraught King to handle, and with a sudden wave of frustration swallowing up he let his hand wander over to Malcolm’s arm, which he squeezed lightly as if to calm his fraying nerves.

He was silently, and chipperly eating his delicious cheese bread and slowly savoring his coffee. The texture was nice and otherworldly, and the coffee can be his second favorite drink; after the almighty cocoa, of course. The first ringer up was Ashton, mister pretty boy and all that jazz. With his 'what's up', Jay just simply nodded in his direction before getting back to what he was doing, since everyone was so boring at the moment. The most infamous quartet being at each others throat, yet not really. His bored look grew deeper and with a shrug he continued his food. Though, he did smirk a little when he noticed King's contempt at his earlier 'respects' to the 'King.'

Next up was the French invading- Moon, she promptly whispered something to Jay. Gerard rolled his eyes,
"Do away with your crushes!" he screamed randomly inbetween mouthfuls "It's so typicaaaal~" he continued jokingly.

Following her was Olivia Johnson, who sat beside him, oddly enough.
"Are you extorting me for money, why are you sitting there?" he told her, again, jokingly, "Hey Olivia."
He looked back down at his sandwich- which wasn't in his hands now. A sudden burst of wind appeared from nowhere- well, from Olivia. His cheese bun and coffee now a victim of war. Gerard's face grimaced slightly, anger lightly permeating his face. He internally decided wether to go back in time somehow and save his coffee and bun. Against his good will, he decided not too.

He turned to Olivia, and with a slight face of anger, masked with a false smile
"Don't worry about it..." he grumbled out loud.
"Place a lid on your powers, that was such a good sandwich." he whispered under his breath, turning forwards once again.

Another one came through, literally, Austin Williams. The oddball of the group, so energetic and sunny, he blinds Gerard from time to time. He burst into a room, "I am sure, alot of weird stuff have happened Austin." he said with no tone in his voice, "Take a damned number, weird stuff has been happening to everyone here."

The room was becoming more filled with people, and Gerard lightly sighed. Tessa Gray, a rather recluse person since that incident also come in, Gerard was slightly surprised she turned up in all honesty. "Yo Tess- Mind if I call you that?" he called out from his seat, after her passing comment, he then said, "Always a recluse are we?"

Alice Malone then stepped into the ring, not even a hello to anyone, just straight to flirting with tall, handsome Asian, Malcolm. "What kind of parents raised you up?" he said another smirk smearing on his face, of course this was in jest.

And finally the last one the one, well atleast before Jay started explaining his theorem. This was Alicia Smith. She basically came in, and Gerard just waved at her when their eyes met, since they already met earlier.

Jay's flustered nature after interacting with Moon just made Gerard roll his eyes, "Get to the point lover boy." he said,

When Jay had asked who had been experiencing weird things happening since the morning, it was King who raised his hands first. He talked about how he could feel the emotion of others, empathy- was it?
Gerard couldn't help but stifle his laughter, This guy receiving empathy is extremely well deserved he thought to himself, lightly hitting his desk in amusement and hilarity.

Gerard was next to raise his hands up half-assedly, "Same for me." he said with a tinge of excitement at something interesting happening in Verona, "I can bend time and all that fancy jazz, I guess like in that show 'Heroes' that everyone watched." he continued, resting his raised hands on his table now,
"Course, Alicia there can vouch for me. She's already witnessed my powers."

The gush of air upon Olivia's entrance had almost knocked the poor teen over, and he had to grab onto a table to keep his balance, whilst also ignoring Gerard's comment in regards to Austin's entrance. He slung his backpack off his shoulders, pulling out a chair and sitting down, shoving the bag underneath it. Jay seemed satisfied with the number of people there were present, and started the little meeting, writing on the blackboard: "ECLIPSE -> GRAVITY -> WORMHOLE -> WEATHER". Some serious shit must've been happening to everyone else, too.

Regardless, Austin listened as Jay began to talk.

"So! I'm guessing you're all here because you've realised the laws of physics are turning against us and some freaky shit's going down, yeah? As we've just seen with that wind?" Jay paused for a moment, before continuing. "In fact, let me rephrase: put your hand up if you've noticed anything screwy going on with yourself today that isn't normal and belongs in a comic book; something that would make Bill Nye and Einstein and Neil deGrasse Tyson cry trying to explain it. Then, tell me all about it."

Richard was the first to pipe up. Ugh... King. And according to what he'd said, Austin definitely knew that he would feel the teen's disgust. Apparently he could feel people's emotions - empathy, as Scout had pointed out. Austin was feeling kinda sorry for the guy, though, as he sat there, shaking like hell. That was, until, he came out with his stupid remark about Scout.

Next was Gerard. He had the power to "bend time and all that jazz", like in a show called Heroes that he assumed everyone had watched. Not me, Austin thought. Since nobody else looked like they were gonna speak anytime soon, he took it as his chance to explain his situation.

"I've got something. This guy." Austin pulled his backpack out from under his chair. He set it down on the table and unzipped it, opening it up and pulling out a Flash comic. On the cover was a picture of Barry Allen himself, with blonde hair and bright blue eyes, with a transparent version of him in his Flash costume faded over one half of him. "I'm frickin' Barry Allen. I got superspeed, man. I was walking to school, and decided it'd be fun to see if I could outrun a car, y'know, 'cos I wanna be the Flash. Within seconds, I was halfway down the friggin drive. Everything was a blur. I couldn't stop it, so I just turned around and led myself down corridors. Thank god it stopped when I got in here, otherwise-"

He was cut off by a trickle of red landing on the table. Austin held his hand to his nose, and pulled it away to reveal blood.

"What the fuck?!?!"

He quickly pulled out a tissue, holding it to his nose and keeping his head down. By now he was shaking all over, carefully putting the comic back in his bag to stop it from getting bloody. He tried to regain his senses, and took a deep breath, speaking with a quivering, muffled voice.

"That eclipse has done some kind of freaky shit to everyone. Guys, I think we all know what it did last night. It gave us powers."
