Mika and Dean or as Dean thought; Kenzi and Dean had been in the motel's bar until it was closing time. Mika couldn't bear to leave Dean alone, even though she knew it was best if she did. Last thing she really needed was another one of "those" nights with him. Sure, it was their thing, and they had done that several times in the past, but she had to pull away from him. She was knowing Ethan now, Ethan filled that hole in her heart, that she couldn't let Dean fill.
If Dean came back into her life like he used to be, it could dangerous. They were each other's weak links and it almost got her killed when she was 18. If they were together now, it'd be even more dangerous - the weak link to the enemy would only be greater and neither would cope well if they lost each other again. Even if it was Dean losing "Kenzi" and not Mika.

Walking Dean to his room, she took his room key from him and opened the door, taking him inside. "Come on....you need to crash for the night," She told him, heaving him inside and dropping him onto the bed. "And before you ask no I'm not staying. I have to go back to Ethan- keep him safe...." She told Dean, trying desperately to not look at his sorry state...... but that failed and before she knew it, she was falling for his sorry drunken state once again......
Mika opened her eyes and the alarm clock on the bedside table shone 02:05am in bright red LED lights. "..Balls..." She muttered quietly to herself, before looking down at herself and Dean and properly realising what they just did. Yup, they fell into the drunken angry sex scenario once more. Sneaking out of the bed and from under Dean's arm, Mika got up and got dressed before just looking at him. It could be so easy right now, she could just stay and tell Ethan she belongs with Dean. He needed her and she needed him, she couldn't deny that.

"You stupid girl..." She told herself in a whispered hush, trying to find a way of waking him up and telling him she was Mika, yet no words could form inside her mind, so she knew there was only one scenario she could play out. Grabbing the paper and pen that sat beside the alarm clock, she scribbled on some paper, and then propped it up against the lamp, facing him.

With the simple words "Save me Dean, Mxxx" written on the page, she quietly left the room and headed on back to Ethan's apartment above his tattoo shop, where she was greeted by a sleepy Ethan with open arms and taken into the bedroom, where she soon crashed on the bed and fell asleep. A single tear dropping from her left eye.

Dean woke up with a groan and a huge stretch. He sat up, and instantly grabbed his head, "Ah! Dammitā€¦Kenzi, let's go for breakfastā€¦", he mumbled, reaching over to shake her. As if he should have been surprised, reallyā€¦

She was gone, "Son of a bitchā€¦", he complained, standing from the bed with his hand pressed to his temple. He walked over to the bedside table and noticed the note, which he picked up and stared at. For a few seconds, he had to kick himself and remind himself that his thoughts were dumb, and that he didn't know shit. Another side of his brain went straight to ghosts, like Mika was following him, somehow. He had nothing of hers, as far as he knew, that she could possibly be attached to. Sighing heavily, he kept thinking, and the thought of Kenzi BEING Mika crossed his mind.

"Yeah rightā€¦", he scoffed, tossing the note aside, "I ain't drunk enough for this crapā€¦"

He picked up the phone, quickly dialing the number he had somehow remembered by heart, the number to the tattoo shop. He knew she was there. He knew she had run back to this guy like a moth to a flame, but he also knew he could talk her back to him, just like the times before. Thanking whatever being was responsible for him having found the number by accident, before, he waited for an answer, his thumb and forefinger pinching the bridge of his nose, heavily.

Ethan had already opened the tattoo shop as the time read 10:00am and his first client was due in any minute now. When the shop phone rang he was half expecting it to be either an cancellation or a bew booking. Walking over from his work station, he picked up the phone "drake tattoo. Ethan here," he answered it not expecting the caller to be Dean.
Mika, due to her very late arrival back at the apartment above the shop, was still in bed only just stirring awake. Like most of her nights, they were restless and fuelled with night terrors and cold sweats. Ethan dealt with her so well but she felt guilty for bringing her messed up life and situation into his own world of normality.

She still felt bad for walking out on Dean last night, but every bone in her body was stopping her from just coming clean to him. Her head was ruling her heart. Yet she still hoped for the day that Dean would figure out her truth. Sighing, she got out of bed, wrapping a bedsheet around herself and headed to the kitchen, where she made herself breakfast. After all, she wasn't expecting Dean to call after her.....

"I know she's thereā€¦", Dean said simply, dropping his head a bit as he clenched the phone in his fist, attempting not to sound too desperate to the man, "Iā€¦I don't know if you even knew she was gone or not, butā€¦I need to ask her something. She's playing these games, manā€¦"

He pulled his head up as a knock at the door caught his attention. He ignored the noise, and continued talking down the phone, "I'm leaving out today for a caseā€¦umā€¦I mean a job in Minnesota. It's supposed to get pretty bad, and I just wanted to hear one word from herā€¦"

He knew he sounded like a desperate bastard, but he didn't really care (nor would the headache in his head let him care). He glanced to the door as John walked through, managing to pick the lock skillfully. He stood with his hands on his hips, and no sign of humor on his face.

Ethan was taken back by the familiar voice on the end of the phone. He knew who Dean meant instantly. Who was this Dean to Kenzi? What was their relationship to one other? Hw wasn't sure he wanted to know. "I'll patch you to upstairs where she is," Ethan replied to him and patched the call through....

Mika was just helping herself to Ethan's supply of orange juice when the phone on the wall started ringing. Picking it up she answered hesitantly, "hello?"

"Kenzi its Ethan, I'm patching Dean through, he wants to speak to you." She heard Ethan explain and she instantly mentally winced. She had hiped her mysterious ghost letter would take him on another path.... so much for that.

With a simple click, she heard the call divert to Dean. "What do you want Dean?" She asked.

"We're doing this again?", he asked instantly, still ignoring John, who hadn't moved from the doorway, "Mysterious girl pretends she doesn't want anything to do with me...falls into bed with me every time we meet and then runs off into the night? Why are you doing this to yourself?"

He asked her the questions in an almost sympathetic voice. John sat down on the bed behind Dean, his eyebrow raised as he did so, watching his son's heart break into a million pieces with every word.

"Tell me what you know about Mika. Don't play stupid either...because my mind is playing tricks on me. It's either the alcohol or something about you really reminds me of her...", he rasped out, his eyes a bit watery, "I found a note...and before I leave...I have to know if you have something of hers. You know who she is...I know it..."

John narrowed his eyes, suddenly extremely worried about his eldest. He looked around the room, finding the note with his eyes. He instantly stood from the bed and picked the piece of paper up, scanning it with troubled eyes.

Mika, half asleep, suddenly becomes wide awake in the time it took Dean to say his opening line. She slapped her spare hand against her forehead, realising that their usual antics has now and truly gone one step too far.

"Its easier that way...." she just mumbles down the line. Sure, it wasn't exactly the most understandable response she could have come up with, but right at this point she didn't know how else to reply. Dean had made her become stuck for words.

Then the hardest question came through the receiver end of the phone that she hates hearing. How many more years could she truly go on evading that question? She had no idea. But it was getting harder and harder to lie her way out of it.
"All I know about your ex girlfriend is what you've told me. She was this redheaded girl who stole your heart...then she died by a wendigo....h-h-her parents too..." she tried to kerp her answer as vague as possible but when it came to her parents, her voice began to crack.

"You found a note? You sure it was from her? Do you own anything of hers? That she cared deeply for? Like a necklace or book ? Maybe your love for each other is keeping her around you. That's why you think I remind you of her.... Dean, I don't know her....I'm sorry..." she said to him, fighting every nerve in her body to not hang up the phone.
At this point Mika was silently crying and shaking. It had to know but she was just too scared to admit the truth.

Dean rolled his eyes at her saying that it was for the best that she ignore him, and basically blow him off and out of her life. He closed those same eyes, and continued listening, parts of him reliving the day that he found what was left of Mika and her family. He sighed a very frustrated growl of a sigh, and shook his head.

"I don't have anything of hersā€¦and it's just really coincidental that you leaveā€¦and suddenly she's there with me? It's like I'm seeing ghosts, and trust meā€¦I know ghosts. You didn't know her family, or anything? Kenzi give me somethingā€¦", he pleaded, and John slowly dropped the note onto the mattress below him, closing his own eyes in frustration as he realized that Mika and Dean had indeed met, and that she was playing with fireā€¦again.

He stepped out into the corridor of the hotel, and began thinking over what to do about the scenarioā€¦if nothing else, what to tell Dean to get him to forget all about thisā€¦Kenzi.

Mika could hear him growl in her his sigh when she tried to get out of her awkward and tight situation. She was finding it more and more difficult to keep her stupid secret, that she shouldn't even be keeping form him in the first place. She was just too damn scared.

When Dean said about not having anything of hers, she couldn't help but get a flashback of that fateful last day that they were separated because her father wrongfully pulled them apart. Her head hurt as she remembered that horrendous day and she tightly closed her eyes shut until the memory subsided and she could reply to Dean. "W-what about the----" She began to ask him what he done with the first edition book of Pride and Prejudice she gave him on that day, but then knew she would give her identity, so she quickly stopped herself from continuing that question. "How come you don't have anything of hers? Did she not give you anything? Or vise versa that you found? How did you know it was her that was attacked, if you don't have any evidence that belonged to her?" She decided to re word her question and try to sound like it was just another case.

Yet Dean kept asking about giving him something to go on, anything for him to just move on. She didn't know what to say- she wanted to say her usual "I don't know who she is" line, but she knew Dean just won't accept that anymore. She had to come up with something new, and she had a feeling he'd pick up on her changing what she was going to say, from where she nearly slipped up. She was now shaking, and wondered what she could possibly say that would get him off her back.

At this point she was in tears, but fighting hard to not let it sound through down the phone. She wished Dean would just figure out who she is for her, then she can find the right words to explain why she kept this secret from him properly. She was so glad that Ethan had clients today, because if he came up the stairs seeing her in this state, it would make things all that more complicated.

"Fine...." She sighed, taking a deep breath ready to say something. "......She was my distant cousin....."

Dean's face opened up into a shocked, and almost relieved face as she 'came clean' to him about who Mika was to her. He began fumbling, attempting to find words, as the door to the hotel room closed at John's exit. Dean shifted, glancing to the door, and then back to the table in front of him as he finally figured out what to say.

"All the more reason that I can't let you go. We'd make a hell of a team. Admit it. You get into more messes than anyone I've ever known. You need someone there to save your assā€¦", he murmured as John entered the room once more and gave him some sort of signal. Dean narrowed his eyes and waved his father off, before John grabbed the phone from him, and closed it.

"What the hell, dad?!", he cried out, reaching and grabbing for the phone. John held it high, and finally shoved it into his back pocket as he stared Dean down.

"This has to stop."

"What are you - ?", Dean started, but John held up a hand.

"I found the note, and how many times have we been over this same crap? Dean, she's dead. She's gone. I know I shouldn't just say it, to you, but you have to face the music. Sam's worried about you. He thought you were dead, or at least out somewhere lost and hurt, but instead you're shacked up with some girl you don't even knowā€¦", John scolded.

"She almost diedā€¦She's a hunter."

"A hunter. Wonderful. Hunters don't have relationships, Dean. Hunters live for the job, and they die young. How many times have you seen this? It happens all around you, over and over, and still you hang onto this notion that you're going to find some proof of Mika's conspiracy theory? She's dead."

"I KNOW! You don't have to keep reminding me! You know how many times I've played it over in my head that if I had've been there, she might still be alive. Her parents could still be here, and either I would be dead, or I would have saved them. Do you know how many times I've thought about making some sort of deal, or at least reaching out to Missouri, and finding out what she knows?! You don't have to keep telling me that she's DEAD!ā€¦", Dean lashed out, his face only inches from Johns. After a few tense seconds, he stepped away from his father, and grabbed his coat, along with the note, which he folded and shoved in his pocket. Turning, he held out his hand, "Give it to meā€¦"

John stood still, not moving, and still staring at Dean's eyes, he pulled the cellphone from his pocket, holding it out. Dean snatched it from his hand, and slammed the door behind him as he left.

Mika felt like she was waiting on the line for an incruitiatingly long time for a reply from Dean, until eventually she heard a mumbled response. Though she wasn't wanting the response she reveived. Though, when did she ever get the answer she wanted just lately?

"Team? Are you off your head Winchester? No way would we make a good team." She began to say, "sure I get into problematic scenarios, but so do you...Dean?" She continued to say when she overheard him getting cut off and an argument starting up.

She recognised the other voice, it was John. The only person who could put fear into her just as easily as he used to make her feel like a Winchester in her teenage life. She wanted to continue calling out to Dean, but at the same time she knew it was pointless. Instead she hesitated between the options of listening to the argument which was now muffled, or hang up the phone and let Dean decide if he wants to call back or not.

Either way, she knew she couldn't stay in this town for too much longer for fear of getting hunted down by John Winchester.

Pulling her cell phone away from her ear, she let her thumb hover over the "end call" button. "Damn it Dean...." she mumbled realising what a grip he truly has on her.

"Kenzi?" She heard as she spun round to see Ethan standing behind her. She just put one finger up to signal 'gimme a minute' before looking back at her phone and with a heavy heart said "call back if you want" down the speaker becore hanging up.

"Okay, whats up?" She turned her attention to Ethan.

Dean jumped into the Impala back seat, shoving Sam over roughly, "Move..."

There was something about this girl he couldn't shake. She never seemed to stay around when John was around. She never seemed to want to talk about much else than the bar they were in, or the trouble she had been in, that she seemed to find everywhere. It was as if she was a ghost. Obviously, he knew better. He had never heard of a ghost that had sex with men, in which they didn't lose their eyes or heart...or something.

"Dean...", he heard Sam whisper in the background, and he snapped to the current, looking at his little brother. His eyes were filled with tears he didn't even know were there. Some were directed at John, and the rage he felt at his dad for being such a damn prison warden. Some were directed at the feeling of losing Mika every...single...time he was forced to deal with this again. But he needed to deal with it.

"I don't wanna talk about it, Sammy..."

John opened the door to the Impala and sat down in the drivers seat, letting a long sigh leave his throat. He didn't put the keys into the ignition. He didn't make a move to leave, which caused Dean's heart to skip a beat. After a while, he turned his head to the side, "I know you're mad, son. But this is for the best. At the end of the day, it's the three of us. I miss her too, but you have to let her go. What do you think Bobby would say, if you brought this up?"

"Bobby has enough common sense to look into it, Dad.", Dean answered, careful not to speak too out of hand in front of Sam.

"AND HE HAS!", John screamed, causing them both to jump as he hammered the steering wheel with his fists, "I'm done with this...I mean it Dean."

"And mom?"

"Dean...", Sam and John both whispered at the same time.

"Yeah...we don't talk about that, do we? Just go. Minnesota and your death trap are calling.", Dean lashed out, leaning his head back against the seat. He reached into the front seat and grabbed his Dad's journal, opening it to their current case. After reading over the coordinates, he pulled out his phone, like a broken record, and simply texted them to Kenzi.

Mika kept looking at Ethan wondering what was taking the guy so long to answer her, but evetually she saw him start to open his mouth to actually talk. "What's going on between you and this Dean guy?" he finally asked, despite needing to be downstairs as his client was due in any moment now. "It's a complicated and long story Ethan, one that you don't have time to hear because you have a client to see. But to give you some answer for the time being, he dated my cousin when they were teenagers and a childhood close friend before then" she explained, keeping up the lie she told Dean over the phone. "oh...right" Ethan simply replied nodding whilst scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "It's complicated because my cousin died at eighteen years old and I guess he just never got over it" she added, hoping that next piece of information would be enough to get him off of her back. She really wasn't in the mood for talking about her past with the guy, no matter how much she did care about him.

"I'm sorry for asking, I'll leave you be" Ethan finally said going back downstiars where indeed his first client of the day had walked inside and was waiting for him to appear. Mika on the other hand stayed upstairs in the apartment part of the shop and sighed. "damnit Mika..." she cursed to herself quietly, before noticing her phone buzzing with a text message. Grabbing it she saw that Dean was texting her the co-ordinates of the case the Winchester family were clearly on their way to. "Dean...one day you gotta stop sending me these" she said to herself before she put the co-ordinates into her gps and saw they were heading to Minnesota. "Hmm...that's a long endless drive from here. But doable enough. No...Mika don't even think about it...you need to break yourself from him...it's not fair on Ethan.." she argued with herself, desperate to convince herself to not jump into her car and follow them to Minnesota. "Bloody hells..." she sighed knowing it was pointless and instantly grabbed her stuff from Ethan's bedroom and grabbed her jacket from the back of his bar chair. Just like she did with Dean, in the hopes the mysterious note would keep him from giving up figuring it all out, she left one for Ethan:
Ethan,
I'm sorry to leave you like thism but I got a job to go to in Minnesota,
I'll be back as soon as I can be
Kenzi

With the note written down, she headed downstairs and left out the back and out of sight, into her car and she was gone. She didn't give herself time to think about what she was doing because she knew if she did? She would regret every single action, try and stay with Ethan and try and get out of the hunting business, but she knew deep down she just couldn't. She couldn't leave Dean like that, especially as far as he was aware she already had. She sent a quick text to Dean back with her usual short hand reply saying 'on my way' before putting her phone down on the passenger seat beside her, turned her music on and drove to where Dean needed her to be.

John had tried to ignore what Dean was saying. The kid was just rogue, lately. It was harder to ignore when Mary was brought into it. But, the boy sulked all the way to Minnesota, which meant he had plans or he was extremely angry. The most likely answer was both.
As he pulled into the parking lot of the hotel, he kicked the brakes a bit to wake both the boys up, Dean groaning.

ā€œWeā€™re here? Finally? Greatā€¦ā€, Dean groaned. He gathered his jacket and quickly opened the door.

ā€œDean! Where the hell are you going? We got a room on this sideā€¦ā€, John started.

ā€œIā€™m going to get my own room. Iā€™m not in the mood to listen to you give your speeches tonight. Alright, Dad?ā€ Dean answered back, throwing a hand in the air before heading to the office. He pulled out his phone, opening the message from Kenzi for the millionth time and sighed.

After the clerk at the counter threw him the key to his room, he thanked him, pulled out his phone again and shot a quick text to Kenzi, ā€œRoom 320ā€¦Knights tower, if you wanna save some money.ā€

Like with every drive, this one was long boring and tiring. With only her cassette tapes for company Mika found the long drive incredibly lonely but she was also strangely used to it. It was after all her chocie to do all this alone and not just come clean to the Winchesters with who she was. Truth she wasn't just terrified of how Dean and Sam would react, but also John. Would their father see her now as the kind of girl who he didn't want anywhere near his sons, or would he scold her like a daughter of his? or even worse would he shower her with relief that she was infact alive and smother her, whilst giving his condolenses about her parents deaths. She wasn't sure she would be able to cope with either scenario, not to mention John would probably go absolutely ballistic at Bobby for keeping her secret from them all all this time.

It took her what felt like forever to get to Minnesota, she was tempted to have stopped for a break at one point but she didn't, instead finding the nearest drive thru she could on route and got herself a coffee on the go. It was during that break in the queue that she got Dean's text and looked at it sighing. Now he was the one giving her the hotel room and name with offers, which strangely made her smirk slightly. She gave him a text back, again in as short hand as possible due to driving, 'still on road, ETA 1hour dep.on traffic. Kenzi.'

Eventually after what felt like hours in total but only the remaining one hour she said in her text she managed to find herself in Minnesota and after a little bit of driving around, she found the hotel in question instantly spotting John's car which made her drive round the other parking lot round the back to be out of sight and pull up. Turning the engine off she looked in her mirror and wondered why she was doing this. "Mika you are a glutton for punishment I swear.." she told herself, before folding up her sun shield, putting her keys in her jacket and swiping her white hair up and back off her face. With some extra self motivation to leave the car she got out, grabbed her bag and phone and headed to room 320, knocking on the door.

Dean sat on his bed, nearly hyperventilating while he waited for Kenzi to arrive. Luckily for him, John hadnā€™t bugged him since they landed. He and Sam were doing research on the other side of the hotel, before the planned hunt the next morning. He must have zoned out between the last text message announcing her ETA, and the knock at the door.

There were answers to be given, if she was willing. It didnā€™t feel right, but it felt like something he needed to do. This had to stop.

Sighing deeply, he stood from the bed and opened the door, ā€œYou cameā€¦Um. I half expected you toā€¦umā€¦hey.ā€

Standing to the side, he made room for her to enter the room.

Mika couldn't stop the small and 'blink and you miss it' brief smirk that crept onto her lips when he finally aswered the door and stammered about what he wanted to say. She got what he was hinting at and honestly, she was half tempted to just not come and find her own hotel to stay in, or stay with Ethan and not even make the drive at all. "I thought about not coming...but I guess my actions surprise both of us" she commented back, stepping inside when he gave room for her to do so. She saw there was at least two beds in the room, but she was well aware that that never meant they slept in their own beds before. THey were chaotic and complicated and almost always ended up sleeping together, whether that was sexually or just crashing out side by side because neither could take falling asleep alone. She chucked her bag on the floor by the table and chair that was in the room and turned on her heel to face him.

"So why did you want me to come here? Can't be just solely because of the case you guys clearly have here as you've given me absolutely no info on it." she said to him, her tone slightly more abrupt than she wanted it to sound but her body language luckily was a lot more casual than her tone. She leaned against the table and crossed one foot over the other whilst placing her hands down on the table top. She glanced around at the room and saw it was clearly one he booked for himself to keep his dad and brother out of his hair which made her think that their last phone call caused an arguement or some kind of altercation between him and his dad. A tiny flicker of guilt flashed in her mind that because of her secrets, her actions with Dean, it was causing such rifts with his family. Sure John wasn't a perfect father to the boys and there was always rifts going on but she wasn't so naiive to not realise some of it was because of her actions.

ā€œI figuredā€¦ā€, he started, before taking a deep breath and sitting on the bed closest to the door. He ran his fingers through his hair nervously and shook his head. He figured Sam wouldnā€™t stay away for long, which could pose its own issues, ā€œI figured you wouldnā€™t show, considering how fast you bolted, and howā€¦limited that conversation was on the phone. Sorry about my dad.ā€

He thought about how to approach his next words as he stared down at his hands. He stood, as nervously as he had sat and pulled the note that was left at the previous hotel, ā€œI called you here, because my dad isnā€™t planning to go out until after midnight. I canā€™t sleep, now that we are hereā€¦andā€¦well itā€™s just vampires. We either die, or they do. Thereā€™s really no in between or guess work.ā€

He stepped over to her, and held the note up in front of her face, ā€œā€¦and I wanted to talk about this in person, so thereā€™s no lies. No secrets. I can read your face, and you can tell me everything you know. Either I am being haunted, which poses a whole new kind of hunt, or youā€™re an escape artist, and sheā€¦is still alive.ā€

His eyes were tearing up as he spoke to her, his lip trembling slightly. A small obsessive glimmer shown behind the green irises as they pleaded with her own.

-------

Anna stepped out of her room at the hotel, groaning at the idea of living off vending machine food for another week. Her mother moved around from hotel to hotel, combing from town to town to figure out what had happened to her father. She was too young to even remember him, but wore his dog tags around her neck. He was a good man, an honorable man. The house fire was pegged as a freak accident, one that she and her mother barely survived when she was only six months old.

But her mom had never let it go. She had these mysterious people that she spoke to every now and again, moving from town to town in search of...something. Sometimes she came back after a day or so, and they would move to another town. Other times, she would be gone for a few weeks, always coming back seeming older, slightly more scarred than before.

Snapping herself out of her thoughts, she thumbed a few quarters into the snack machine.

Mika listened to what Dean was saying, sighing slightly as she nodded at his words. It was true, she did bolt faster than was probably necessary but when didn't she? She was playing a dangerous game with Dean and she knew it. At his apology about his dad, she shook her head as if to say 'don't sweat it', it wasn't his fault his dad came in and cut everything short after all. Even if she was slightly thankful for it as it meant she didn't have to risk bumbling through all her lies to try and make Dean drop the subject. A subject that she knew better than either of them, he would never drop. She tried to look at him the entire time he was talking or moving but it was difficult and every few seconds she found herself looking down at the ground, at her feet instead.

Hearing that the case was a vampire case, she nodded once again. She knew as well as any hunter that it really was a case of either or and very very rarely if ever, in between. It always depended on the strength of the nest and how many there were. The fact she had no information on the case they were here for made it difficult for her to judge but the idea of Dean possibly dying on a vampire case didn't sit well with her at all and she tempted to face John to make her go along to make sure she had Dean's back. He may have saved her ass plenty of times, but the same could be said for the other way round as well. She would never admit it, but if they did team up, they worked well together.

Yet it was the moment he shoved the note in her face that made her properly look up at him and lean her head back slightly so the words she had previously written on it didn't blur into a smudgy mess. His demand in wanting answers in person with no lies put her on edge but she kept up the charade that it wasn't getting to her on the outside. Seeing him well up, the pain and longing for answers in his eyes ripped her heart apart, if she was anyone else she would just come clean here and now, but she felt she was in too far deep to do so. "I don't know what to tell you... I'm as in the dark about this as you are. Maybe she is haunting you or watching out for you... Maybe she got issues with her cousin sleeping with you.. I don't know, but we both know that there's no way a human can survive that kind of wendigo attack" she said back. Hell, she still didn't fully understand how she survived that fateful night, even now.

"but if she is haunting you? Do you really want to treat her like some kind hunt? She's not a monster Dean." she then said.

"dad can I go to the vending machine for some snacks and a drink?" Sam asked, rubbing his hands down the front of his face as he tried to give his eyes a break from reading, with the agreement, he took the money and headed out of the room and went to the nearest vending machine to the room, where he spotted a young girl standing there already. "hey" he said awkwardly, letting her finish getting what she wanted whilst he tried to decide from where he was, what he wanted himself. He had no idea who she was, but she was someone around his age and the fact that Dean didn't want to be near him or their dad because he was angry at John, he figured it wouldn't hurt to briefly talk to someone his age.
