I don't actually have many issues with the main monster lineup. Besides say... The out of place battle ox? and the fact they are running dark rebellion when raidraptors carry the theme of rebellion pretty well themselves.

The main issues of contention are the sweeper cards/efficent removal. Namely Harpies Feather Duster & Icarus Attack, I think we are trying to avoid invalidating the S/T zone so duels flow better with facedowns. Harpies this early would do that as there is no easy way to negate it. Icarus Attack similarly is a very good board breaker. Certainly not as big an issue as the duster. But a card to keep an eye on to be sure, due to its flexiblity (can be used as an offensive or a reactive play), ability to target anything, and the decks ability to swarm via the RR

I hate to be "that guy," especially when you were already accepted, but I'm personally curious if you plan to warp digivolve past Ultimate into Mega, or if you're refitting Beelstarmon to be an Ultimate, since she's normally a Mega...
Again, not trying to start anything, just wondering. I'm sort of wary of asking since last time I did it caused some trouble with a GM of another digimon RP.

Also yes, Rain cleared it with me prior, as we both game to the conclusion that the ultimate stage was a bit of a mess in terms of bridging from sistermon -> BelleStarmon, so I agreed that since X existed as a much more powerful version it would make sense to retroactively move Bellestarmon (OG) to the Ultimate slot for a more through-lined progression.

Team Nun

• Name: Honda Aoi
• Age: 18
  
• Appearance: Aoi is an outlier amongst the Japanese for several reasons, the archetypal "huge schoolgirl", 176cm tall--or about 5'9. Given her propensity to be dressed for swimming, it's pretty hard to miss some pretty obvious things about her physique: for one, her body is pretty athletic, though her propensity for sweet snacks does mean she doesn't come across as lean as you might expect. The other is that the girl just doesn't seem to feel the cold, dressing pretty lightly even in the middle of winter.
• Personality: Aoi simply seems to not give a shit, or at least finds the consequences of her actions not worth worrying about too much. If the only person who's going to be harmed by her choices is her, what does it matter? There's no point in giving up on what she wants to do or what feels like the right thing to do because it's going to be a nuisance down the line; just take it as it comes. In Aoi's particular case, this seems to regularly result in being in trouble for uniform violations, since even wearing uniform she tends to wind up dishevelled and not wearing half of it.
  Her main interests are swimming--both for fun and competitively--and sweets, particularly ice cream. Outside of those two activities, Aoi is a perennial slacker with a sarcastic streak, and it's really hard to tell if her flirtatious tendencies are genuine or not caring what her statements sound like.
• History: During the Youkai Incident, Aoi was just a girl on a trip to the beach with her parents, temporarily separated to explore on her own--and due to the weather, it was pretty much deserted, but she still had an ice lolly on hand. Like many children, she was worried about how her poor grades would be seen and that meant that all her behaviour was unacceptable... and that was when the world, and the phone in her hand, stopped making sense.
  To go from a calm beach to the centre of a tense Mexican Standoff--the signs of a battle started around her but stopped before anything really happened--was a shock. On one side, angelic creatures, and on the other demonic. It was terrifying... and really, with that perspective her grades in school or general behaviour seemed so much less important. To either side there were things that could turn her into a nice glassy crater if they wanted, and she was worrying about schoolwork?
  On the angelic side, there was a fluffy little creature, and deciding that it was the one thing around here that seemed hospitable, Aoi went over to it on a whim, offering her ice lolly. The beast quite happily ate it up, sitting on Aoi's lap as a protective talisman... whilst the battle started up again, out of reach but entirely watchable.
  It really made her prior concerns feel a bit pointless.
  Ever since the incident, Aoi has been more impulsive but also far less fretful. Why not just accept the downsides that come with doing what she wants? They can't be that bad, and she's pretty confident in her moral ability to not do anything that bad. No matter how much the school authorities might disagree. She also got over her fear of water and really took to swimming.

• Personality: At her fundamental core, Silvia believes in protecting the innocent and maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanour. However, underneath that and influenced by the first time she met Aoi, she also struggles with the concept of making the most of life and enjoying herself. Good food, a good fight... wouldn't it be nice to not struggle with these things so much? She's sure that it must be worth it to resist, but...

So here's my attempt. I can obviously change anything that needs changed. Originally I was gonna gun for Lunamon but... if I can get away with this VPet-viable evolution line then I'll go with this. Almost went for Meickrackmon as the Perfect but figured it would be turned down.

Shion stands at 162.5 cm (5 foot 4 inches) and has what would barely pass as an "athletic" body with lightly toned muscles and slightly above-average strength and flexibility. The usual facets of her attire are a sweatshirt and headphones of some kind. Everything else seems to be chosen almost randomly from her closet. She is somewhat underweight at 105 pounds. (7.6 Kilograms)

Personality:
Attempts to describe her traditionally are generally met with failure, as she is eccentric to the point of being nearly non-understandable. The most obvious facets of her personality are her strange sense of humor and her tendency to either be extremely excitable and extroverted or equally introverted and reflective, with seemingly no middle ground.
She is incredibly intelligent but has few social skills and many odd quirks, including a somewhat unhealthy obsession with snakes and an equally unhealthy hatred of insects, both exacerbated by her rather severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

History:
Born in Shinjuku, she was five years old and living in Shibuya when the Yokai Incident occurred, and it was in part due to the incident that her parents and she moved to the United States the year after. A rarity who possesses eidetic memory, the only blind spot in her memory is of the Yokai Incident itself, presumably due to trauma suffered during it.

Yokai Incident

Shion had wandered away from her mother when the incident began. Planning to explore the nearby underground subways, she tripped over something small and soft as it ran by, causing her to fall down the rather large stairs along with what tripped her. Unable to move from the pain and bleeding somewhat from her head, she simply lay there for some time. The small creature turned out to be a yellow Fresh Digimon that apologized profusely to the young human. For nearly two hours, the digimon sat near her and spoke with her to ensure that she was breathing and wasn't trampled by the humans fleeing the tunnels before the girl was rescued and taken elsewhere. While Shion has forgotten this completely, the young digimon still feels that it owes the child a debt for its actions.

In America, Shion took to the language and culture far quicker than her parents, both because of the malleability of her age and her powerful memory. Further, she quickly was placed into advanced courses for her education, eventually resulting in her placement in a higher year than her age would dictate. However, at age 9 she was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which made her fall behind in her studies. She only recently got it somewhat under control. She made few friends over the years, and fewer still that she would stay in contact with upon returning to Tokyo. Instead of friends, what she gained most was a love for music, and to this day she is rarely seen without an MP3 and headphones of some kind.

A surprisingly modern digimon, Re-chan is usually calm and collected but has a wild streak hidden underneath, a good counterpart to her partner's extremes. She tends to face fights with logic and fun with emotion, though a good enough battle will bring out this side as well.

I know I was late to the thread and I'm willing to give up my position if someone else who posted before me really wants in. It's only fair! But given that, here's my application, because I recently picked up Hacker's Memory again. I'll send the rest of the Digimon line in a DM, if that's okay? All of them are canon Digimon.

SUNNY

Name Beau ("Sunny") Sunford

Personality
On the surface, Sunny is chipper, upbeat, and constantly joking. Their cheerful attitude has made them very approachable, but they find it difficult to connect deeply with others - in no small part due to their hard-stuck habit of joking about even the most serious of incidents. Students like to bait Sunny into acting the class clown, because it can be pretty entertaining, and also because it's Sunny who gets in trouble when the joking around goes too far.

Deep down, they'd love to make some solid friends, but they're not used to people sticking around - not that they'd say this outright, because that would be depressing, and Beau Sunford is a beacon of positivity, all of the time!

History: The Sunford family seized the chance to move from Ireland to Japan a long time ago for Beau's mother's job in a marketing firm. Beau was about six at the time, and they learned fast enough to wisecrack, but not quite fast enough to do very well in school. Their dad works in engineering, and always encouraged Beau to be inventive, but unfortunately this tended to mostly encourage Beau to "inventively" goof around.

The Yokai Incident

After moving to Japan, everything went surprisingly smoothly for Beau's parents. For Beau themself, not so much. They missed their friends, and being a little too young to understand why they couldn't stay where their friends were, Beau wasn't happy.

Until their imaginary friend arrived.

Beau remembers playing with the Kitty Orb. They don't remember where it came from - just that one night they were crying alone, using the light coming in from the kitchen to read a book. There was some tapping on the window, and when they opened it, Kitty Orb was precariously balanced on the sill.

"Are you alone, too?"

They read quietly together for a little while - Beau did most of the talking - and then the Kitty Orb got a little bigger and started raiding the fridge. Kitty Orb was hard to keep up with, especially when it turned into a Bigger Kitty (Impmon) and started trying to explore the fire escape. Beau knew they weren't supposed to leave the apartment alone, but the prospect of an adventure with a new friend was too exciting, and before they knew it, they were lost.

Beau remembers a light down an alleyway, and then something big and angry hit the Bigger Kitty like a train.

Bigger Kitty wanted to fight the dinosaur. Beau wanted to run. The resulting struggle lasted just long enough for the dinosaur to make a lunge, Bigger Kitty to break loose of Beau's grip, and for a bright light to blind Beau for a moment.

When they opened their eyes, Impmon was gone, and so was the Tyrannomon - not that Beau knew their names, or even what had really happened. They were lost in an unfamiliar city, alone again, and upset.

The police returned a tired, frightened Beau to their parents early that morning. With their child's penchant for mischief and inability to articulate the events properly, they chalked the whole thing up to Beau's runaway imagination - assuming that the Yokai Incident had something to do with it (perhaps the disturbance was what got Beau out of bed that night?), but never quite realising how deeply Beau was caught up in it.

Kitty Orb became an imaginary friend, then a half-forgotten series of doodles in Beau's notebooks. Beau knows deep down that the events really happened that night, but so far they've learned better than to talk about it. With no name any better than "Kitty Orb", it's a little hard to keep a straight face about it even to others who experienced the Yokai Incident firsthand.

DIGIMON

Name: Impmon (sometimes, to his dismay, nicknamed all sorts of things)
Level: Rookie
Appearance

Personality: Impmon is extremely serious, kind of moody, a little bit broody, and absolutely dedicated to becoming very strong and very powerful and saving the day. This is not a good match for Sunny, who would much prefer that nobody fought at all. Impmon does not have a very high opinion of his partner, but despite his misgivings, he's determined to make this work- and he knows Sunny means well. He's the type to believe the only way to fix something is to do it himself, and finds it hard to put his faith in anyone else to do the job. Just as well Sunny is there to "put him on the bench"... maybe a little too often.

Despite desperately wanting to come across as stoic and unshakeable, he does have a deeply-hidden sense of humour - and a terribly short fuse, which Sunny thinks is hilarious and endearing.
